Hip and Cosy
The apartment was very comfortable, attractively furnished and a little bit quirky like all older buildings. The apartment block was run down, the stairwell was very steep and needed better lighting. We loved the location.
Great location, super apartment. Lots of space and great interior for meals together.
Rustic Scandinavian style property. Location was very strategic and convenient. Right in the middle of shopping belt.
Great apt for the right people
The good: The interior of the apt is beautiful. It's a very large space for the area. The upgrades and finishes were lovely. The location is fantastic! Walking distance to lots of places and the metro/train/bus stations and stops. There are two grocery stores nearby as well. The bad: The exterior was awful. The apt is in a mixed use building, which is fine. The neighbors were really loud and the building seems to be the last building going through a renovation in the area. The bottom floor consists of several bars. At night we heard bar conversations, people fighting, throwing up, and more till about 3am. Then construction began about 5am. We would walk out of the apt to find broken glass and bodily fluids everywhere. Like most buildings from the time, the stairs are very narrow and not what we in the USA would call ADA compliant, plus it's more like 3.5 landings of a walk up with very tight turns. As you walk up the stairs, the walls and railings were covered in graffiti, and lots of things that smelled like urine, blood, and food. Also, the stove did not work. At first the heater didn't work, but that was a mistake on our part not understanding how to use it. We are a family of 5 with small kids. This apt did not fit our needs. We expressed this to management. They were very nice, sending out someone to show us how to turn on the heat and cleaning part of the stairway closest to the door. In the end, the noise and mess were too much and we left several days early.
The apartment is conveniently located in the very center of Copenhagen within walking distance to majority of sightseeing places. It is also easily accessible by metro from airport or bus from cruise port. The renting company (Habitat Collection) had provided us all required instructions how to reach the place, where to find the key as well as detailed info on the major attractions in Copenhagen, recommendations of restaurants, bars, etc. We had no issues of accessing the apartment on arrival. The apartment itself is rather spacious for the family of four. There are two bedrooms, small living room, small kitchen and nice dining space. It is well equipped with major cutlery and appliances. There is also a washing machine and dryer there. The blinds are only in bedrooms, meanwhile the other windows have no curtains / blinds. The only issues which we found a bit not comfortable was bad drainage system in one of the bathrooms and very small sinks. It is situated on first floor and the staircase is very narrow and steep. It could give some difficulty in carrying heavy luggage. Otherwise, the apartment is rather nice for visiting Copenhagen. What we didn’t like in the area is a lot of noise from bars and cafes located there. It looked like all population of Copenhagen and all tourists gathered in our compound and had all night long party there. It was very difficult to have nice rest in such environment.
A Very central and cosy place to stay, walking distance to shops, train stations. Easy check in process.
Perfect Holiday Apartment
The apartment was cute as can be and in a great location. It was very large by European standards and had more than enough space for 2 couples to share for a long holiday getaway. I hope to stay in it again the next time I pass through Copenhagen!
Hyggelig opphold
Lys og trivelig leilighet i et meger hyggelig strøk, nærhet til alt. Ikke la dere lure av inngangspartiet, leiligheten er ren og fin
God oplevelse dog lidt støj om aftenen / natten fra gården.
Not the best memories from Copenhagen
Several things were broken in the apartment, two out of fourth of the coat hangers, the shoes racks in the entrance, the door knob of the only shower, the coffee machine didn't work properly. The worst was a huge construction site right next to the building wall where was our bedroom. The workers start at 7am every morning, and they were digging the ground, making the walls and windows of the apartment shacking. This was a horrible way to be waken up every morning. Finally, the bulbs in the staircase outside were broken on two floors, and make our arrival at night very difficult. The night life is very active around the apartment and the surrounding becomes very noisy at night too, with people screaming and breaking bottles and glasses.
