Super friendly check in. Thrilled to be given a free upgrade to a jr. suite which was so appreciated. Location is close to everything we wanted to see. Rooftop self serve bar is great. All aspects rate high in comfort and style. Would definitely return. Thanks very much for a lovely stay!

This is a great place to stay if you are on a budget but need something walkable from the important sightseeing locations. We stayed in the first floor. The biggest issue is privacy. The windows had curtains but they were ever so slightly translucent that we can see the people walking by during the night. There was also a slight gap that we can see a little bit of the outside from the right angle. It made it feel like they can see us, which may feel uncomfortable for those that want privacy. Otherwise, it was a fantastic location with helpful staff. The services functioned well including the internet, water heating, etc. I highly recommend.

Comfortable and budget friendly.

Very comfortable stay! In a great location. A little worried about previous review being in RM 100 but our stay was very quiet. No windows tho. We only stayed for 1 night and checked in 9pm so we didn’t spend a lot of time at the hotel. For the price i paid for i can’t complain. It had everything we needed for a comfortable quick stay. Staff very welcoming and nice.

The 2 rooms on the main floor (100 & 102) are pretty terrible for noise. They are in the lobby and the housekeeping closet is right in between. Plumbing noises front above units are frequent as well as when rain is draining through the walls. Staff was nice and location excellent.. Not sure if other rooms were much nicer.

My favorite place to stay in Cordoba- I wish they would reopen the kitchenette in morning they used to offer a small breakfast and wonderful espresso drinks. I love the rooftop terrace too.

Great stuff, nice room, zero complains

This is a gem of a hotel and one of the loveliest places we have stayed. Perfectly located the staff are super helpful, the rooms simple and well appointed and the rooftop is perfect for a nightcap after a day exploring Cordoba.

This hotel is a real gem. It is located on a quiet street right off the busiest pedestrian thoroughfare heading down to the mezquita. If you turn the other direction as you head out the door, you quickly find yourself in a much more locals-oriented, quiet Cordoba with little cafés and fruit stands and even a hardware store. I love the rooftop terrace and it’s honor system bar. I have spent hours up there in the mornings quietly working as the swallows fly by. My only regret is that I am not staying longer.

Great staff and nice little extras like toothpaste, but really missed a coffee/tea making facility. I was in room 205 and did not like the patio with chairs right next to my window. At 7 am one morning a mother and toddler used it as a playground - woke me up and could not sleep again.

Excelente hotel. Muy cerca de TODO, a 5 min de la judería, del Puente Romano, a 3 de la mezquita catedral etc, todo está cerca. Son muy amables, la habitación es amplia, tienen una terraza para que cuando llegues puedas tomar una última cerveza o lo que quieras. El estacionamiento está cerca y cuesta 20€ por día.

Free ICE & awesome rooftop terrace

The roof top terrace made our 2 nt stay in Cordoba awesome! It was gorgeous with plenty of tables & chairs & loungers, all sort of separated a bit so there was some privacy. The kitchen up there in the freezer had FREE ice! & plenty of glasses if you brought your own wine up on the terrace. & all kinds of alcohol & mixers that u check off on their card & pay at checkout.There was also a frig where you could have stored your own food. The room (basic double rm-cheapest) was fine-had individual AC that kept the room cold even in feb! no lobby to speak of or bar or restaurant, but the roof top more than made up for that! Highly rec! I paid ~$40 per nt in feb -great value & very clean!

They double charge me and won't give me my money back.. They Stole 82 EUROS from me. I booked through EXPEDIA which they are worst than the Hotel Management, There is no customer support whatsoever.I paid to Expedia and when I was checking out the Hotel they told me that I have to pay them directly which I did.When I checked my account later I see that Expedia charged me and the Hotel as well.I have been dealing directly with the Hotel since NOV 27th until now and I still didn't get my money back.I have been talking with DAVID and LUCIA from the management and they admit that they got paid by EXPEDIA as well.BE AWARE OF THIS HOTEL.

Good hotel

Location is very convenient and quiet. Helpful and nice staff. The first room we got, the heater didn’t work, neither in the second room they moved us to. When we came back to the hotel an hour later , the heater was fixed.They give plenty of wrapped and nice toiletries. The bathroom is nice but the shower is small and the the drain doesn’t work well. The room was big with comfortable and clean beds. The thing that is annoying is that there are no lamps on the bedsides. The bathroom has a glass, not wood door. When you use the bathroom at night, the bedroom is full of light!!! I will give it and very good, not superior.

It's a nice small hotel at a fair price. Rooftop bar is very nice, rooms are thoughtful and comfortable, not fancy. Good bed, shower, location. I really can't find anything not to like about it other than the optional breakfast could be better, but I am a silly American.

Really good location and the staff are helpful and friendly

Staff were very friendly and professional. The receptionist made you feel especially welcome and had a lot of helpful information that made your trip to Córdoba a wonderful experience. Location was great as close to all the tourist spots, lovely restaurants and great shopping. I would thoroughly recommend.

On the plus side: clean, modern & functional; close to historical center [though Córdoba is totally walkable; close to historical center may not be so necessary]. Would have been nice if they had responded to a maintenance issue that we mentioned when we first walked in... Carpe Diem is a basic budget hotel; works well for that.

Staff were not helpful. Problem trying to sleep due to receptionist having a conversation on the phone for hours, very loud & laughing. My partner had to get out his bed & go & tell them we wete trying to sleep & couldnt because of the noise they were making!

Amazing value superbly-positioned hotel. Go there!

Magnificent experience! Lovely room with its own little balcony and lots and lots of space. No silly mini-bar, but instead our own fridge for cold water etc., which was far more useful. In place of the minibar, one could sign for all kinds of drinks on an honesty basis, from the incredibly well-stocked kitchen at the top of the hotel next to the superb sun terrace. Incredibly comfortable bed - nothing 2-star about this hotel - the room, the bed, the facilities in general - all seemed almost 4 star. This hotel is incredible value. The breakfast was a little bit basic and one paid extra for it - (very little, it must be said). I would have preferred a facility for making my own coffee rather than have to have it made for us when we arrived for breakfast. All staff, however, were very helpful and polite - one of them was kind enough to book our train back to Seville on his computer - and found a very good deal! The hotel is FABULOUSLY well positioned, with left turn taking you to the more bustling end of town and right turn taking us down to the consistently antique area around the mosque-cathedral. Cordoba is a wonderful place and you literally could not get a better hotel to stay in. One could spend 6 times as much and not have a better time!

Spanish holiday

Great place to stay. Large, clean and tidy rooms, great staff and love the rooftop bar setup. Right in the middle of everything you want to see, supermarket and eateries all close by. Handy parking and gos led us straight to the door.

I stayed one night and was very favourably impressed by my experience. The Receptionist was very welcoming and helpful in every way. He spoke English fluently. The room was very comfortable, quiet and perfectly furnished in modern style. This is an exceptionally good hotel, centrally located.

Fantastic service, centrally located hotel

The hotel is amazing. Friendly and very helpful service. Everyone speaks English. They all went out of their ways to help us with various issues. A special thank you too Lucia but you all were great! The room was very comfortable and large. Great bed. Small balcony. Electric kettle, sofa, desk (junior suite). Plenty of closet space. Good amenities. Wifi and air conditioning worked very well. The roof balcony is lovely although we hardly used it. Room was quiet. The breakfast was good. Self-service, except for the coffee. Lots of fresh fruit and yogurts, cereals. Coffee was very good. Sliced meats and cakes were packaged. The egg and potato tortilla can be heated up in microwave if cold by the time you come down. Also had tomatoes and hard-boiled eggs. In other words, a very filling breakfast. The location is a few minutes’ walk from the Mezquita Cathedral and near many other sites. Lot of good shopping around. I usually don’t do much souvenir shopping, but Cordoba has really nice stuff. Also, if you head up the hill you reach the modern part of town with great regular shops.

Good stay. At first got a noisy room 101. But staff changed me and was very nice about it.

Hotel was simple and pleasant . Staff were really helpful . Terrace was an added bonus. More a hotel for the young with no luxery. Was really well located .

3 star hotel with 5 star staff. Very clean and good location. Parking a fun experience. After winding through the narrow streets, you pull up to hotel and the kind staff jumps in car and drives with you to nearby lot. GPS took us right to hotel. Room as plain as can be but clean, not even a picture on wall and just a small window to inside courtyard. Nice rooftop patio. A little too basic for me, but clean pleasant stay.

Everything was amazing. Location, service, room. We got to see the procession right from our balcony. There is a rooftop terrace with snacks and drinks. They include the most fantastic breakfast. Can’t say enough nice things ... wouldn’t stay anywhere else in this beautiful city.

Great Location!

We had an excellent ground-floor room convenient to the lobby breakfast room and street access. It was spacious and comfortable. The hotel allows you walking access to all the major local attractions and wonderful restaurants. Don't expect to be able to drive to the front door. Be prepared to use paid public parking from a few to several blocks away and haul your luggage. Or du as we did; park, walk to the hotel and check-in. The desk clerk can call you a cab to your car; wait while you get your luggage and return you to the hotel for a very reasonable rate. When you see all the driving involved. you'll understand why you couldn't do it with your own car. We really enjoyed our stay here and believe you will as well.

Wrinklies on tour...!

Ideal for a party of 4 all over late 60's. Car not needed and everything within walking distance with plenty of places to rest and refresh. Staff were very friendly and helpful - Jose gave us useful info on restaurants, sites to visit and escorted us to garage! Minor issues with plumbing but they were dealt with quickly. Roof top terrace great bonus to sit and relax with drinks on tap! We had top two rooms so had direct access to roof. Go for rooms 401 / 02 if you want peace and quiet. Avoid 104 - on ground floor next to lift..! Would stay there again - Cordoba is our favourite city; great atmosphere, lovely people and awesome history. Not as frenetic as Barcelona!

Good location

Easy, short walk to the old town and the cathedral. Go in the other direction and you get to a plaza in the shopping district with bars and restaurants. 5 to 10 minutes to either depending on the speed you stroll at.

Would definitely recommend. Carpe Diem is everything it says it is!! Clean, comfortable and safe. It is in the perfect location for walking to all sites. The staff was very helpful with suggestions for dinner and they offered a walking tour the evening we arrived. It really made it easy to go back to places we wanted to see more of.

Wonderful place to stay!

Our stay at the Carpe Diem Hotel was wonderful! The staff couldn't have been nicer, the room was clean, roomy, and comfortable, and the locations was excellent. We were a few minutes from the Mezquita, shopping, restaurants, and bars. Amenities were great as well. I heartily recommend this hotel for its comfort, staff, and price!

I’d stay here again

The people running this hotel were friendly & efficient. It was very good value as everything was in very good condition but the tariff so reasonable. There was also a lovely well equipped & spacious roof terrace.

We traveled around Spain for 15 days and this was our favourite hotel of all. The staff were very friendly, gave us a choice of room, both of which were great. Parked our car for us in their (very tight) parking lot, accommodated our early check-out. The hotel location is very close to the centre of the town, which was great for exploring. We can't speak highly enough of the quality of room and staff. We can't wait to stay again!

Clean, pleasant hotel close to major sights

The hotel is very clean and offered us a complementary junior suite upgrade with a king-size bed which we appreciated. It was very close to major sights to see. Staff was pleasant - especially Lucia at the Front Desk who helped me to find a grocery store close by.

It is a beautiful small hotel. All the staff is very nice and helpful. The hotel is very well located and close to the Mezquita. Full of good taste in the decoration and showing what it is capable to do in a small space

Ideal location within a 5 minute walk to the cathedral. Hotel staff were very helpful and friendly. Beds were really comfortable. We were on the 4th floor where the patio area was and the honour system bar for drinks, which included a wide selection of wines, beers, spirits and mixers and for those feeling a bit peckish some cold meat and cheese. I would recommend this hotel to any of my friends and family.

Great Hotel

I'm so glad and lucky that I blindly chose this hotel for our stay in Cordoba, Spain. The surprise started from the friendly welcome from the front-desk, which later provided us tons of help for the local restaurants, local performance, and local transportations. The room is like 6-star -- space, cleanness, settings, quality, floor plan, supplies (including fruits, drink, water for free). We can see the Cathedral de Sevilla from our room. It's so quiet day and night. Many great restaurants and tourist sites are walkable distances.

Very good location in the heart of the City close to Mesquite and to the city centre. Stayed two nights and room comfortable and surprisingly quiet. Could do with a kettle though to make a cuppa. Us English need a kettle in the room always.

Hotel with charm and character!

The hotel is excellently located in the old medieval heart of Cordoba with ready access to cafes, bars, restaurants and the historic sights. The roof terrace is a very pleasant element along with its honesty bar!

Great base for exploring Cordoba

Fantastic location to explore Cordoba. We visited during Semana Santa, and we were able to see the procession from the roof terrace, which has a stocked honesty bar with drinks and snacks.

A really good Hotel. The room was clean and comfortable. It was well located. Staff were very helpful and offered plenty of local advice on restaurants and sites. There was even a very well organized tour of the town. Parking was available for the car. It did mean driving through very narrow streets to get there and leave, but you might say that was part of the experience

Great little hotel!

Very friendly small hotel, well located for the Mosque and bars/restaurants. Very helpful staff; car parking just around the corner at reasonable rates and staff will park the car for you. Roof-top area with plenty of seats and honesty bar. Highly recommended!

You get what you pay for

Good location, spartan accommodations, very inexpensive, friendly staff. Stayed for 2 nights. On first night, the room had a horrible sewer smell. Hotel staff said the smell had affected the entire hotel when I complained the next morning. They fixed something and the smell went away the second night.

Central hotel

Nice comfortable clean central hotel with lovely staff. Plenty off Resturant's close .This hotel is of better standard then higher graded hotels we have stayed at on our holiday.
