Great location and staff were excellent.
Very Nice Hotel!
Our room was beautiful. Staff are very friendly and helpful. The location is a walking distance to most of the tourist attractions.
Properties being renovated which does interior service somewhat. We were upgraded to a newly renovated and larger room which was very well appointed. Staff extremely helpful.
This place is absolutely remarkable! Although we couldn't spend an entire day here, we truly appreciated the experience. The staff went above and beyond, providing exceptional service that made us feel right at home. The property itself was impeccably clean and beautifully renovated, showcasing a perfect blend of modern amenities and classic charm. Nestled in the vibrant heart of the city, it offered easy access to a multitude of attractions, all within walking distance. It was the perfect spot for sightseeing and exploring everything the area has to offer!
Great place to stay when visting Copenhegan. Very quiet and clean. The location is very close to all the restaurants and shops. Staff was very friendly.
The Admiral is a beautiful, stately hotel with a location that can’t be beat!
Love Admiral hotel!!!
10/10 stay amazing hotel.
The hotel is really nice, and the staff were polite and friendly. I booked a water view room; however, the view was partially obstructed and not really worth paying the extra money. I should have also checked the room size, it was actually quite small, and it was difficult to move around as the bed was quite big. it was easy to walk to the city center and restaurants.
Disappointing Experience
Excellent location. The rooms are small and the bed too soft. Besides shampoo and body wash, there’s no other bath amenities. Corridors leading to room are stacked with trolleys full of towers - feels like back of house. Missing luggage racks in one of the rooms.
Wasn’t aware of the building work but it didn’t disrupt our stay apart from the last day at 3am in the morning! Great hotel in a great position
Clean rooms, but the staff left a lot to be desired. Asked for a complimentary upgrade, I'm a Gold tier on Expedia and was ignored. Then asked for help with my luggages—was told we’d be charged for it, no smile, no warmth. Not a welcoming vibe. On the plus side, the location is convenient, quiet, and safe.
Under restoration.
Close to a lot of tourist attractions. There are a lot of rooms at the hotel but hotel staff seems to allocate rooms so close to each other. Can hear baby crying from next room during our 4 nights stay every nights. Booked waterview but construction happening around the area.
Great hotel. Great location.
Beautiful modern renovation of a classic building. Wish breakfast was included! Can’t wait to see when they are completed with construction.
Lovely space
Great hotel. Lovely room, should have gone for water view though
The hotel is maintained to a high standard. It is situated in a good and safe location. The breakfast is quite expensive, however, the quality of the food is excellent. We would definitely return to this hotel. We were a party of six and we all enjoyed our visit.
The experience was amazing , the hotel was a pleasure to stay in and the staff are so friendly and helpful . one the best hotels i stayed in . ( but the kettle is hidden in a cupboard )
Good hotel, would stay here again.
It is an exquisite and convenient hotel. The breakfast was great, even though it was charged separately. Maybe they should include it in the price. We stayed with our two kids. The folding sofa they prepared for them was a little small and very squeaky.
Hotel undergoing renovation work. Be aware!
When I booked, I wasnt advised that rhe hotel was undergoing major renovation work. My room was extremely narrow, making access difficult.
good
Great location. About a 12 minute walk from the closest metro which is nice but can be problematic if you have to drag along suitcases along cobbled streets. Very close to shopping and dining. Rooms are small by US standards. Several tourist attractions within walking distance.
it is an excellent hotel which is going through major works which make the overall experience challenging. Also when I checked out the hotels computer system was down which made the check-out process very long
Beautiful property near Nyhavn, Amalien
Good location; peaceful but currently undergoing renovation.
Not impressed with the customer service for this hotel. A bland experience for such a high price for the stay. No water bottles available ar the room, the tiny bottles of soap, shampoo and conditioner were annoying and time consuming to use. Check-in was impersonal. The hotel is under renovation, which I was not informed at the time of booking. That’s disappointing because one of the reasons I picked this hotel was due to the location by the harbor. We couldn’t access it because of the renovation. I wouldn’t stay here again.
The staff were extremely helpful with facilitating an additional night's stay, and the general level of service was excellent. Rooms were clean, modern and with a comfortable bed and good water pressure. Some maintenance works were being undertaken nearby however they did not impact on our experience.
3rd time I have stayed there. It is beautiful, clean and comfortable. Located a short walk to so much.
Great location near Nyhavn and Amalienborg
Really enjoyable stay at Admiral Hotel in Copenhagen. Friendly staff, clean room and very comfortable bed. Five minutes’ walk in one direction to Nyhavn’s bars and restaurants, and five minutes the other way to the King’s residence at Amalienborg. It didn’t detract from our stay but guests should be aware of refurbishment works taking place at the hotel (as of Oct 2024) that means the ground floor isn’t completely open, and one of the three lifts is out of action.
Excellent
We loved this hotel and it was perfect for our stay. It was beautiful, clean, safe, and within walking distance of so many places we wanted to go. We also appreciated the convenience of taxis right outside all day long.
Underconstruction. Only one sauna room for entire hotel.
GREAT HOTEL; GREAT STAFF; CLEAN; CENTRALLY LOCATED; GREAT BREAKFAST DAILY……
This property was in a great location - walking distance to everything we wanted to see. We were able to hire bikes on one of the days which were in great condition and the process was very easy. The lovely staff managed to get us a super early check in as we had just come off a long haul flight from Australia. The rooms were great and overall we were very impressed. We did not have breakfast as it looked as though the dining area was being renovated - it would be lovely to sit outside and eat once this is complete.
The property is in an ideal central location with easy walks to so many sights, shops and restaurants. Also easy 25 minute walk across the city to places like Tivoli. A bit of construction noise out back but not bad.
There was some construction going on so the hotel restaurant facing the water was closed. Otherwise it was a wonderful stay! Great breakfast buffet.
This is a good hotel and I enjoyed my stay. Positives include a very good location next to the water and near Amalienborg Palace Nyhavn. Plus, a very pleasant and helpful staff at the front desk. Unfortunately it lacks a fitness room and the advantage of being on the water is nullified to some extent by their construction which shuts off direct access including being able to have a drink with a view of the water.
DOHRING family 2024 trip
VERY CLOSE TO ALL THE IMPORTANT MONUMENTS. 10 FAMILY MEMBERS STAYED HERE. GREAT BREAKFAST...FRIENDLY STAFF...A LITTLE TOO WARM BUT KEPT THE WINDOW OPEN FOR AIR.
Clean, friendly staff, good food, near to everything
The Admiral is in a great location, walking distance to shops, restaurant's and trains/metro. The decor is right up my street, scandi. The rooms we had were bright and clean, my only complaint would be not enough towels were given but we only had to ask and extras were given. The breakfast buffet was great and set us up for the day. The only complaint I have is the Constuction still going on in the hotel, in spite of this I would stay here again no problem.
Right in the harbor. Easy walking distance to sites and shopping. Great food all around there. Great hotel.
We reserved a standard room , described by photos on Expedia. The hotel showed us the room and it was extremely difficult to move in the tiny room. They offered us to go to a loft which had more room but many steps up to the bed. Nothing in between. My husband uses a walker chair so we chose the loft and slept on the sofa, to avoid the stairs. It seems there was a big gap in terms of choices. I went back to the Expedia webpage and perhaps the “ standard room “‘photos are misleading.
Very good spot, quiet, about a 700m (12 min) walk from the closest subway station and 2 min from bus stop. On the water and close to attractions
Loved the beds, bedding, showers, and hallways!
Excellent location!
Excellent!!!
Everything! Hardly recommended!
Good place for anyone visiting Copenhagen for the first time.
I am still waiting on a response from a large charge from the hotel that was added to my account without my approval. I sent several notice to the Admiral hotel staff and didn’t hear back from them. The charge is still pending and I plan to ensure Amex assists me in getting my money back as the hotel doesn’t seem to care. Unless the Admiral rectifies this issue I would warn other travelers that they may face significant additional charges from this hotel and need to be watching their accounts. I have traveled for more than 50 years and never had this issue while traveling. Again I hope the hotel will reverse this charge that was added without my approval.
This is a perfect location. Loved my stay.
Everything about this hotel is great. The location is convenient for walking to sights and stores. The staff is very courteous and helpful. The room is clean, quiet and good looking. The breakfast is fantastic.
amazing, the water taxi right out the door. People very engaging
Friendly
Amazing hotel within walking distance of everything. Unfortunately the room was so tiny I had to shuffle sideways to walk between the bed and the wall!
This was a great place to explore Copenhagen from. Nyhavn was a 5 minute walk away and Amalienborg was down the street. The staff was very helpful both at check in and at the restaurant and bar. Louis at the bistro was very helpful when choosing an entree and drink for my first dinner in town after flying from the US. The rooms are small but are very comfortable and clean. I enjoyed that the bathroom had a Bluetooth speaker.
Unique and historical architecture inside and out. Currently there are renovations underway to the exterior making it difficult to appreciate the waterside location. I imagine when this project is completed, it will be beautiful.
This hotel was in a great location for sightseeing around Copenhagen. Breakfast was wonderful, staff were very helpful, room was very clean. It was a little small.
perfect location and very friendly staff. Rooms were nice and modern and love that they have air-conditioning.
The Admiral was the perfect hotel for my short girls trip. It is very conveniently located to a metro stop and Nyhavn. Copenhagen in general is very walkable and everything you need is right around the corner. I’d definitely stay here again.
Admiral Hotel stay
Nice hotel, very convenient for walking. Expensive breakfast (we didn't eat there). A bit noisy at times from traffic and footsteps in rooms above. Room was fairly large and comfortable. The staff was pleasant. A lot of construction on the water side of the hotel but it was not a problem.
While this hotel is very nice, they added 500 dkk to my bill for no reason. I asked the hotel via their website to fix this billing and I plan on disputing it. There was much confusion as I added an additional night to my reservation but cannot figure out why they would overbill. I received 2 payments for a single additional night at their hotel. I don’t understand why add any additional charges since I didn’t use any other services. I hope the hotel will correct their error.
The Admiral has plenty of character and history is easy to walk to Nyhaven
We had a good stay. Room was comfortable and clean. A few more amenities would be appreciated Such as slippers. Shower cap. Soap dispenser in the shower. Other than that it was very good
Overrated and limited communication about extra costs and construction happening during our stay - overpriced
Fabulous location and water view
Great location. Fabulous staff. Comfy beds etc in well appointed room. My only gripe was it was hot and the a/c didn’t work.
Excellent location a 2 min walk from Nyhavn. Beautiful wood beams through the building/rooms. Our room was a great layout and had a nice view of the water. Staff were friendly and helpful, and I don’t think i’ve ever been to a city with as many restaurants/outdoor patios. We were able to walk everywhere we went and Copenhagen is a meticulously clean city.
Lovely hotel near the water and city center. Great location and clean rooms.
We loved the hotel’s location since we could walk everywhere. The staff was superb, particularly Felix in the restaurant. The boat tour was great too!
The hotel is currently being renovated so some minor disruptions . However staff did they best to mitigate this .
Loved it though dining very expensive.
Great location. Very nice. Would stay there again
This was the perfect location for our first trip to Copenhagen. The location was perfect, in close proximity to the water and other desired attractions. The room was spacious and comfortable and we slept so well! Not to mention the Bluetooth speakers in the bathroom so I could play ABBA to sing in the shower. The hotel was very interesting from its wooden beams to the stone arches in the hallways. The food at the breakfast buffet was amazing and so many choices! The staff was very helpful and friendly and we felt welcome here. Thank you for the perfect stay on what was our last leg of our trip to Denmark.
Beautifully restored building.
Beautiful old hotel on the water......close proximity to many Copenhagen sites. Excellent staff!
Our only problem was a loud party being thrown on a yacht in front of the property. Thankfully the front desk dealt with it but it gives us pause when we think about returning to the Admiral. Otherwise our stay was great.
Parking was very difficult to get too. Even gettong in and out of the hotel was very hard.
Its a very convenient hotel. You will get what you paid for its location. I hope we had a free breakfast. Paid almost $1952 for 4nights 5days. Walkable to most of tourist attractions and restaurants. Danish are not the friendliest people. Very expensive for everything.
Superior dining options. Wonderful location.
Spent 2 nights in a double occupancy room super spacious and quiet. Very clean bathroom. Moved to loft style room for the last night as joined by a 3rd person. Bathroom definitely needed better cleaning. Shower corners had mildew and some type of spatter on the wall next to the toilet. The bed is located on upper loft level with no AC vet or other type of ventilation. It got very warm and stuffy up there during the night despite having the AC turned to low temp. Would recommend this hotel just not the loft style room.
Copenhagen place to be
Great spot in town. Perfect location.
Great location and staff.Love the old army barrack sturdy brick wall architecture
Location. Convenience cleanliness were excellent It is under construction so when complete it should be more stunning than before.
Stayed in the room with water views for three nights. Room was decent sized with comfortable bed and bathroom was clean with modern layout. We tried their breakfast once and weren’t impressed with the options and quality compared to similarly priced hotels we stayed during our trip. If you are tall watch out for low hanging beams. Location was excellent with walkable distances to shopping and dining
Super cool historic building that was retrofitted properly. I did not see the great pricing offer that I signed up for however. That was disappointing.
There’s not enough good things to say about the staff here. Astrid in guest relations spent over an hour helping me straighten out my train reservations on to Sweden. It had nothing to do with my staying at the Admiral Hotel, and she made calls on her own phone to get me help. A constant smile the whole time. And her manager Yuliana is a great representative of the Admiral Hotel. She made sure that everything was perfect for my stay. The only place to stay in Copenhagen is at the Admiral Hotel!!!
The floor of the room was dirty, did not look like it had been vacuumed. The loft room was VERY small, and there is no microwave or refrigerator for personal use. The extra pillows and blankets and no covers, and no extra sheets for the pullout couch bed. We had to call for sheets, and pillowcases and duvet covers. There was a fire alarm very early in the morning, yet only half the hotel was evacuated. False alarm, and very inconvenient.Very limited parking, and pricey. Would not stay here again
Great location, easy access to restaurants and shopping.
Great location
Admiral hotel was a beautiful hotel and very convenient location. The hotel unfortunately did not have some amenities (gym, pool) but otherwise was nice to explore the city.
Perfect location. The hotel is going through a renovation short term but only minor inconvenience. Lots of restaurants in walking distance. 2 blocks from metro.
Great place to stay in Copenhagen. Really nice staff and room.
Great hotel and location. Staff was awesome and very helpful. The only downside were the restorations taking place especially the outside patio which is a shame with the amazing view on the water
We had an excellent stay. Beautiful room and very professional staff.
super convenient area
Wonderful location, great staff.
Definitely coming back!
Amazing staff and restaurant!
The hotel was beautiful and staff were very friendly and helpful highly recommended
Best location to stay in Copenhagen. Walkable to almost everything. Incredible kind and and helpful staff.
