Amazing little hotel with exceptional staff

This small and friendly hotel is ideally located in the centre of Madrid perfect for sightseeing.It only has about 37 rooms and every guest's need is taken care of by its well trained and exceptional staff. So if you want super luxury and comfort then this is the hotel for you.

The hotel was just perfect! The room was huge and like brand new with luxurious amenities, the staff was super nice and accommodating, location of the hotel is excellent right in the center and near everything you might need. Our stay there really exceeded all our expectations.

Just love this hotel. Hd a problem this time with the air con though and room was too hot.

We spent a fabulous week at this unique, palace boutique hotel, while in Madrid. The staff was so friendly, helpful, and welcoming! We enjoyed our Junior Suite and daily breakfast. It’s a great location for walking to all 3 museums, plazas, and the center of Madrid. We highly recommend this hotel for spending a memorable week in Madrid, Spain 🇪🇸

Other than the excelent and convenient location in the heart of the city centre, the service was absolutely outstanding.

Every was outstanding! From the moment we were greeted at check in and throughout our stay they were constantly catering to our every need. The suite was amazing super spacious and upgraded. I would definitely stay here again

Beautiful property (an old palace that is revitalized). Beautiful and very spacious room (we were upgraded to premium) with a lot of small and important details for comfort that are well thought through. The staff was super friendly and helpful. I wish we had more than one night.

We could not have picked a better hotel. It was centrally located so we could walk to restaurants and theatres. The staff, especially the concierge group, was helpful and responsive. It was clean, and had very large rooms by European standards. The description had said the rooms were soundproof, which I really didn’t believe could be true in a city center hotel. But the rooms were indeed silent! I’d stay there again in a heartbeat, and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to anyone who is Madrid bound.

Excellent stay. Our room was spacious. Very comfortable for our family of four. The staff was attentive and nice. Bathroom is super nice and large. Hotel is within short walks to most of Madrid downtown attractions. Will definitely be back.

Incredible hotel. Very unique. The valet service was amazing. The check-in was outstanding. The room was arguably our favourite room during our tour of Portugal and Spain. The restaurant was really special. We look forward to returning.

Service exceptional by every metric. Every single contact with hotel staff was always perfect. So rare these days. Rooms claim to be soundproofed, but from my suite I could hear chatter and laughter and music from the restaurant, and walking from the floor above. Considering things as a whole, however, this place is 10/10.

The service from staff is iutstanding and commendable. Every interaction from check in to check out was exemplary. Kudos for the attentive service and focus on ensuring the best client experience. My wife and I wished our stay was longer so we can continue enjoying the experience

This hotel was excellent and the staff is the best.

We enjoyed our stay at Palácio de Atocha. This is a charming historical building. Upon arrival we were greeted by a very friendly staff. Our room was spacious with a very nice bathroom. The bed and bedding was very comfortable. The breakfast was very nice too.

CoolRooms was amazing - one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed in. Rooms are huge and the amenities amazing for the price. Staff is incredible - special shout out to Chris at the valet - incredibly helpful. Food was excellent also. Will definitely be back!

The building was from the late 1800s, but refurbished and beautifully re-done and maintained. The staff were very attentive and nice. The room was extremely spacious and had nice amenities. (stocked mini fridge and very nice sparkling wine and chocolate when we arrived!). The bed was large and very comfortable and clean. The room was off the street, so fairly quiet. We would definitely stay there again, and recommend this place to anyone staying in Madrid.

We had a lovely stay - the hotel is perfect in almost every single way. The only real negative was that the AC was turned off in October during a heat wave - we had to sleep with the windows open which were facing a noisy street.

We stayed here for two nights at the end of a two week vacation in Spain. The property is beautiful and located in a busy and funky area of Madrid. It is within walking distance of bakeries, restaurants, shopping, the Plaza Mayor, Puerta del Sol and many other attractions. It is a 10-15 minute walk to the Prado museum and Retiro park. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was elegant, spacious and extremely clean. The bathroom is huge and is basically the same size as the room. The amenities in the room are top notch - nespresso pods, tea, filtered water, high quality hair dryer and bath products. The ladies who clean the rooms are friendly and do an excellent job. The welcome note and turndown service is a nice touch. My only minor concern is that there wasn’t an iron and ironing board in the room. We took public transportation so didn’t have to worry about parking. The area is extremely busy and finding parking and driving in the area would be a challenge for most people unfamiliar with Madrid. We are happy that we ended our vacation here. It is an elegant and luxurious boutique hotel. We will be back!

Great place to stay in Madrid.

We stayed at Cool Rooms Palacio de Atocha for our last three nights before going home after our European vacation. The service was impeccable, food delicious, and location great. We were in a beautiful suite with a comfortable bed and large bathroom. It was palatial! We stayed in mid-October, so room comfort was difficult to control because the hotel had switched off the air conditioning for the season. With temperatures in the upper 70’s during the day, the only way to cool the room was to open the windows. That worked out because the evenings were so cool. We would definitely recommend Cool Rooms Palacio de Atocha.

Simply Amazing

Delightful stay in Madrid! Everything about this property was delightful! From the helpful, friendly, courteous doorman and front desk staff, to the spacious & beautifully decorated room and pool area. Communication prior to arrival & arranging transportation was seamless. We arrived around 9:30 am exhausted from our overnight flight & the staff greeted us by name & said “we’ve been awaiting your arrival!” Easy walking distance to many restaurants and attractions. Everyone was friendly, helpful & spot on for dinner reservations. Would happily stay here again!

It was all good except the room was vecold, around 18C or so…was wearing coats in the room…had to have them turn on heat and it took some time to heat up.

Our trip to Madrid was undoubtedly made better by our stay here. Every apsect of the hotel was with excellent service and the room itself was carefully thought about. We were thoroughly taken care of by the staff. The location could not been more perfect for walkable distances, everything was no more than 10 minutes and a underground station is minutes away. Our only regret was that we had to leave.

This was a very nice hotel. All the staff were so nice and helpful. Our room was the biggest room I’ve ever had in Europe and the room had everything you would need during your stay including a flat iron for your hair. They brought us several gifts for the room during our stay. It was very conveniently located to the city center. I definitely loved our stay and would recommend this hotel.

Wow! What a great spot in Madrid.

AMAZING! This hotel is gorgeous. We had a junior suite with a patio on the top floor. It had a separate living room and dressing room. The outdoor patio/deck was on the top floor with a great view. A really nice place to escape outside. Everyone at the hotel was kind and helpful. The pool area is beautiful for lounging or having a snack or drink. So thankful we chose this hotel. We didn't want to leave.

Lovely large rooms and bathrooms , beds are comfy. We had a full large bed instead of two smaller ones pushed together that you often get in Europe. Bathrooms and showers were beautiful and clean, great water pressure in the shower. Staff were super friendly and went out their way to help you. Location was great

Not our first time in Madrid but certainly the very best hotel we have ever stayed in. Beautiful decor and immaculate rooms. We stayed in a Suite which was huge and kept impeccably clean. Gorgeous pool area to relax and enjoy a drink after a few hours wandering the city. A special thanks to Andres and the front desk team for being so cheerful and welcoming. Can’t wait to return.

THE STAFF WERE WONDERFULLY FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL. WE LOVED THE POOL AS IT WAS VERY HOT DURING OUR STAY. VERY CENTRAL LOCATION. THE SUITES ARE HUGE AND WELL APPOINTED. WOULD DEFINATELY STAY AGAIN.

Highly recommend this boutique hotel in the heart of Madrid. Staff couldn’t be more helpful. Lovely rooms. Nice pool. Breakfast worth the money. A lovely stay; would definitely go again.

Humongous rooms and beautifully appointed!

Superb location. Excellently appointed humongous rooms, but common areas need major uplift. I would stay here again because you just don’t get rooms this size anywhere in Europe. Hotels.com has it as a 5 star but it is a 4 star which is a pity because the rooms are just fantastic!

Awesome staff, hidden oasis in Madrid

Absolutely amazing staff, so friendly and helpful. This was a great location - the hotel feels like a hidden oasis in the midst of the city. I arrived early from the airport and the staff got me an early check in PLUS an upgraded room. I was so grateful for the personal and friendly service. Delicious breakfast and just overall a lovely experience.

Palacio de Atocha was perfectly situated - about a 15 minute walk to the Prado one way, and 15 minutes to the Royal Palace in the other direction. Our room was spacious and the bathroom (including the two-person shower) was wonderful. The staff, especially Christopher, seemed genuinely interested in making sure we had everything we needed and were enjoying our visit. Highly recommended.

Amazing hotel experience. Beautiful rooms in an old converted palace in the center of Madrid. Perfect location for walking to all the major sites and areas you’d want to explore in central Madrid, but also is a wonderful respite after a long day of walking. The dining options at the hotel were great, staff was extremely friendly, and the rooms were very spacious and welcoming. Would absolutely recommend this hotel and I hope to return again in the future. Thank you!

Excellent hotel in central Madrid

What an amazing hotel in the center of Madrid. My husband and I were warmly welcomed by the lovely reception team and checked in early. We opted for a suite and it was probably the most spacious room we have ever stayed in. The quality of everything in the room was clear to see and the bathroom was very luxurious. The pool was an added bonus and very welcome at the end of a hot day. We ate in the restaurant (very reasonable prices) and the food and service were excellent. Would highly recommend this hotel.

Little gem in a perfect location

This was an amazing little hotel. Clean and quiet in a great location. Convenient to the train station for our day trip to Toledo. The pool area was a beautiful oasis in the heart of this bustling city. Rooms were great and the beds were super comfortable. Staff was friendly and attentive. We loved our stay!

Great breakfasts and service. Expensive but a great way to start the day. Loved eating outside in their patio area. Caklm quiet and soothing. Madrid is so busy that it was wonderful to come back and sit by the pool and unwind. the cold water was refreshing for tired legs.

Fantastic hotel in central Madrid

Fantastic hotel in central Madrid. I was lucky enough to get one of the large rooms on the second floor with the high ceiling. Very impressive! Confortable bed and massive bathroom. Room service was quick and high quality. Front desk and restaurant staff also very helpful.

Great stay! The property was quiet despite being very well located. Really enjoyed the spacious room (Junior Suite) and the staff were very helpful, welcoming and friendly.

Fab hotel in excellent location, lovely service and a really great breakfast. We stayed twice, second time ipgraded to a most wonderful room (thank you Cool Rooms!), but the first room.was also very very nice!

Family travel with a wheelchair

The entire experience with this hotel was five-star from start to finish. Our daughter is in a wheelchair and they made sure we were comfortable everywhere in the hotel, and were extremely helpful in booking restaurants and making recommendations that met our needs, too.

Located in Old downtown Madrid close to many cafes and restaurants. Easy walk to Plaza Mayor and Museums del Prado and Reina Sofia. Their tapas bar 34 is very convenient and has good prices and great service. The rooms are some of the biggest in any hotel in Madrid with all the trimmings of a Hotel of this star rating.

With all the glowing reviews we read, we were expecting to be wowed. Unfortunately, the hotel fell short of expectations. Service. The front desk staff was super nice. During the evening, they had turn-down service which was really cool, as most hotels don’t do that anymore. Cleanliness. Our room was spotless upon entry, and the staff did a wonderful job cleaning every morning. Comfort. This is where they missed the mark. We paid extra for a junior suite and we requested a top floor room which they gave us. Little did we know that the top floor was an attic. We couldn’t use half of the room because of the low ceilings. We had 3 tiny windows that we could barely see out of, because of their high placement. We were able to peak in 2 other rooms on lower floors and they were quite nice: separate seating areas, high ceilings, large windows. Advice to travelers: do not get a room on the top floor (4th floor). The other disappointment was that there was a movie being filmed while we were there. The crew of at least 25 were on our floor, making noise, moving equipment, setting up and breaking down sets. They jammed up the elevator (only 1 for the hotel) during the morning and evening. The worst part was that there was no communication from the hotel that there would be filming during out stay. Condition. Beautiful grand staircase. Nice outdoor patio. Well-decorated. It was clear the hotel had been recently renovated. Summary. We would stay again, just not on the top floor.
