Great hospitality by the reception staff. Very good location. Close proximity to good restaurants, Cinema, Bars, supermarkets, pharmacies and sacre Coeur.
Excellent property very clean, rooms on the small side , excellent location for metro, supermarket next door, lovely restaurant below, walk to moulin rouge x
Great small hotel conveniently located Good restaurant and shopping options Next to metro
Olympics stay
We stayed here during the Olympics. The room was small but doable for just 2 of us. Prices dropped drastically after we booked so the value wasn’t great. It’s close to the train station and it was convenient for the venues we needed to get to.
This hotel was just across the road from Place de Clichy metro station. It's a busy area but the hotel is convenient with pleasant and helpful English speaking staff. Breakfast was nicely presented with a good range of items. Would recommend.
It is one of the smallest rooms we have ever stayed in - you could just get past bed & nowhere to put suitcases at all. The lift was a triangular shape & could just get luggage in with one person having to climb the stairs with the other bag. Breakfast was good. It was in good location to see Moulin Rouge
Great area and nice hotel with constant person at the receiption. Could hear next rooms noise randomly and police sirens throughout the night but didn’t bother too much. Hotel room was clean and nice. Very spacious
This facility was in an excellent location. Across the road from the train, with a restaurant and convenience store next door. There was a variety of eating options very close by and it was 2 streets away from the beautiful Montmartre village. Staff at the front desk were extremely helpful and friendly. They were very knowledgeable about Paris and how to get to all the attractions and areas we wanted to see. We spent hours walking the streets in this beautiful area and would definitely stay here again.
It was noisy area, but the hotel and staff was very nice. Our 1 yr old baby was happy about the small Paris apartment.
Great location next to the metro station and around the corner from the moulin rouge. Lots of bars and restaurants nearby too. Small but modern hotel with all you need. Very clean. The staff were really helpful, loaned us an umbrella and gave a free room upgrade as it was a birthday trip - really appreciated. Would definitely stay again.
Friendly helpful staff. Location. Metro. Room small but to be expected for paris on a budget
Well appointed, quiet, clean room with very good aircon, (though not huge). Excellent breakfast and very friendly and helpful staff. Very close to a Metro station for easy access to city centre. Selection of bars and restaurants close by. We would stay there again.
Awesome location right by a metro station and around the corner from the Moulin Rouge and Sacre Couer.
Fantastic location for this nice, clean and friendly hotel.
Just OK
Decent hotel in a great location. Room was very small. Clean but a little dated. Could use updating. Lobby is tiny to non-existent. Front desk cramped, but service good. Elevator can barely fit two people with luggage. Glad the central stairway for easy exits.
Very clean and was maintained clean every day, very polite and helpful staff , best location , excellent access to many high demand subway and buses , access to many grocery stores and restaurants
Amazing staff who went out of their way for us! Would highly recommend!
Excellent central air conditioning and a very helpful staff. The location is perfect for strolling around.
Friendly staff, good service for the price.
The most perfect hotel in the centre of Montmatre !! Beautiful views and right beside lots of great bars and restaurants ! Bus stop and metro no more than 2/3 min walk away! Honestly perfect !
Overall the hotel is a good 3 star hotel. The location is great and staff is efficient. My only disappointment was the noise. Wall are paper thin and you can hear everything in the next room. This is the main reason I would not recommend this hotel
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED *****
Excellent stay and highly recommended for both business and personal use. The overall impression was exceptionally good! The staff is very friendly, professional and helpful if guidance is needed. Great service, great room, great view, great location (minutes away from Metro station) and great breakfast. A perfect stay :)
Quality room, affordable, great location, good staff, close to Montmartre, next to metro and buses.
Decent hotel at a reasonable price
Decent rooms. Elevator was ridiculously small.
Spacious room and bathroom for Paris at this price! What a convenient location, only 2 min walk to the metro and buses.
Nice hotel good Place to stay lovely breakfast
The hotel is very safe, well located only a few steps from Place de Clichy metro stop. A few yards from the Moulin Rouge and Pigalle neighborhood’s attractions. There are plenty of great restaurants, and cafés around. The staff is super friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable about city and attractions. And front desk is available 24/7! I highly recommend this hotel, and I will be returning soon!
Excellent location
I have to say it’s one of the best hotels I have stayed in…in Paris great location very central…I had a very spacious room all the staff were very helpful and friendly I would highly recommend this hotel to my family and friends.
The staff were very helpful and the location is ideal.
We had an excellent stay in this hotel. The staff was very friendly and the location is convenient.
Great Location
Great Location, Love the easy access to hotel. However, a housekeeping did not come in to clean the room any of the three days/nights I stayed. In spite of this I will definitely look for this hotel again when I am in Paris
It was right near the metro, place de clinchy. The elevator was small but that's Europe for you. Overall it was very nice.
Small but adequate for short stay. Good breakfast. Very busy, noisey area of Paris.
Very clean with an excellent breakfast. Front desk had very friendly staff. Large shower for Paris, only issue was water barely warm in morning 7-9am due to so many showering in building. Hot water rest of the day. Would stay again for sure!
This place is pretty cool! It's in the perfect location and the rooms were clean. I had a standard 2-twin beds room and the size of the room was fine for 2 days. The elevator can fit one person with their luggage, max, but I just took the stairs when I didn't have luggage and that was fine. The staff were excellent. Very helpful. I would recommend this place to anyone that wants to walk around Paris!
Montmartre Gem
We loved this small boutique hotel. Located two blocks from Moulin Rouge, with lots of small bistros and a metro 1/2 a block away. It had all the amenities, all in a compact space. Smallest elevator, ever!!! Breakfast room was immaculate, food was fresh and varied.
A very well-located hotel with very friendly staff, beds are comfortable, You can easily walk to Montmartre and just a few steps to the metro station. the only negative point is the breakfast. very limited and the breakfast time was until 10 a.m. but at 9:15 everything was almost finished.
Very Good/Excellent - I would recommend this hotel
This small hotel was excellent and I think we got a good price for our rooms, and our rooms were very clean and comfortable. Overall I would recommend this hotel. The rooms were not big, but typical for Europe. The Queen beds were actual Queen beds that you would expect in the US. The area was very good and felt safe, although right around the corner is a strange part of Paris (Moulin Rouge), this location is very convenient to the Metro (Place De Clichy) and many restaurants and services. Rooms had AC and we really needed it. The hotel staff was very helpful, and after a day I finally understood why they said we should give them our keys when we left for sightseeing. It was better security, you dont need to carry a key with you all day, and the front desk is always staffed so you can get your key when you return. We did not do their breakfast but it looked very good. The area is very normal residential, especially 1 block north, south, or west. 1 block east is Moulin Rouge, so the storefronts become very eclectic, but not unsafe.
Small hotel in middle of Monmartr, convenient location, few steps from metro station, supermarket next door, a lot of restaurants around. but everything very small, even elevator.Staff is very friendly and always ready to help.Breakfast was OK.Room was clean but very small. No refrigerator. Overall around 8-8.5 out of 10.
Friendly and exceptionally good service.
Great location and lovely room.
I love this location & know the neighbourhood very well. The metro is close by and it's only about 15 minutes to Gare de Nord. I was really happy with my room on the 5th floor because it faced the back of the property and was so quiet - which is hard to find in Paris! Blackout blinds and soundproofing ensured good sleep. Comfy bed & pillows. Facilities in the room & complimentary water on first day. Friendly staff. I didn't have breakfast there but the dining room looked good & the breakfast list had a lot of choice (I have special dietary requirements though).
Great location, and very helpful staff. Small basic rooms. I upgraded to a superior room, but if that was a superior room I wouldn't really like to see the standard rooms!
Ok for the price...
Hotel is very small but doable for the price. You get what you pay for. It’s good enough to lay your head down and rest. Not in Paris to sleep and hangout in the room anyways. No mini-fridge and most markets don’t sell ice. So have a cold water or beer to drink was hard to find. Rooms are tiny, bathroom even smaller. Get used to bumping the shower knob and changing the water temp by accident. Bed was super hard and firm. Almost like sleeping on a carpeted floor. Only real complaint, we left the room at 7am and returned at 4pm and rooms were not cleaned. After a long day of walking around Paris, no one wants to come back to dirty towels. The maids also barged in twice without knocking. Which was wierd. Location is close to the Metro foe easy access to all locations and short walk to Moulin Rouge and Sacre Coeur.
Room unexpectedly small
We found the staff most attentive, professional, and helpful with all our needs
Perfect choice!
I had checked into this hotel with my son. It had a very pleasant ambience. The room was very neat and tidy, slightly compact but with all necessary amenities, including the very essential tea/coffee maker for me! Bathroom slippers too were provided and essential toiletries too were there of a good quality. A tube of toothpaste too could have been provided! The bathtub was also very clean and I was glad that there was a good hair dryer too. The linen was spotless and cleaniness in the room as well as bathroom seemed to have been given a top priority, so that was very satisfying. The room had a lovely window overlooking the street, but despite that not a single sound crept in. There were grocery and provision stores a pleanty in the immediate vicinity and so too were a lot of good quality eating joints. The breakfast provided by the hotel had a very interesting spread of dishes which were delicious as well as wholesome. The catering staff was absolutely delightful. Location wise too this hotel was worth it's stay, since it was very close to bus stops and metro stations. Within walking distance you had the famous tourist spots of Sacre Coeur ( Basilica), Pigalle, Theatre de l'atelier Montmartre, and if you are interested the famous Moulin Rogue too. The nearby markets offered good souvenirs and touristy knick- knacks at reasonable price. In all this was a great place to stay in and we thoroughly enjoyed the hospitality offered. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this place to fellow to
Great place!!
Refurbished
Much improved and refurbished since last time I stayed
One night in Paris
The hotel was clean, comfortable, and service was great.
Each day i was welcome by a male hostess but a female overall ran the facility Very nice stay although the area was busy and a few hagglers/beggers. The only suggest is to enlarge the elevator as i have bad aniexty and it was to small. And please get small face towels to wash face as we have in America.
The staff were super friendly and helpful. The room was small but cozy. But, the lobby was nonexistent and the elevator was the smallest I have ever been in ever. It isn't remotely close to the nicest hotel you will stay in, but it is located in a great location and for the price, it is a good place to stay while sightseeing in Paris.
Mediocre room. Very dirty towels. Expensive for its limited quality. Online pictures deceiving. Not worth the money
Nice hotel but a bit noisy!
Very noisy creaky stairs and doors. Lovely little hotel with small comfortable smart rooms but the cleaning staff started work at 5am (feels like 4 if travelling from the UK!) and they woke me up continuously 😩
Convenient and comfortable hotel
Hotel Alize Montmartre was a comfortable, affordable place to stay. The staff are very friendly and welcoming and multi lingual. My return flight home was cancelled due to an airline strike so I had to re-book my flight and stay a night longer than planned. The staff were very accommodating with extending my reservation another night and offered the same rate I had paid through Expedia when I booked. I was so thankful that I didn't have to change hotels for the last night! Thank you to the staff! The area is very charming and I enjoyed staying in this neighborhood that's only two metro stops away from Sacre Coeur and the heart of Montmartre. The rooms may seem small to American travelers, but they are very typical of European hotels. I would stay here again.
Family. Christmas Holiday Trip
Highly recommend this Hotel. Staff were great and room is clean. It's close to a metro station (Palace de clichy), Moulin Rouge, Montmartre is a walk away, grocery stores, souvenir shops, fast food and various restaurants around the area. Quite neighborhood even though it's location is in the main road. I will go back to this hotel again if ever revisit Paris.
Great location. The room was very clean and the bed, very comfortable. I thought breakfast was very complete. The staff was very courteous. Special thanks to Alain from the front desk for his patience and for helping me deal with the airline during my lost luggage ordeal.
Size
Very nice but very very small Room was difficult with two people
Centre of buzz place, but that's all
Very, very small room. Even smaller bathroom. Shower okay if you are a kid. If, and only if, you really have to book this hotel, book directly, do not go through booking sites for you will surely get the smallest of all small rooms. The lift good for one plus bag.
Had a lovely stay at the Contact Hotel, friendly staff and good breakfast!
Modern room we liked. Bed and pillows uncomfortable. Tiny check in area but we didn't care. Very helpful and friendly staff that helped us figure out and encouraged us to use the metro
Great location and great service
Good Hotel 20 Minute walk to middle of Paris and S
I would recommend this hotel. Good and courteous Staff. 20 - 30 minute walk to most places to see in Paris.
Very well positioned, good value for money
We booked 5 nights in August, we had a lovely room at the 5th floor, with balcony and a fabulous view of Place de Clichy. The room is reasonable in size, a bit tight of space when going to the bathroom, but if you plan to be a 'full-time tourist', don't worry - the bed is large and comfortable, the bathroom is very clean. Staff at reception is friendly and helpful. We had an issue with the cleaning staff - they've mistaken one of our bags for garbage, and then said they've never seen it in the room. We had some fruits and cereal bars there, so nothing valuable, but the communication between staff was poor in dealing with this problem. It took us 3 days to talk to the manager, and we've told our story a couple of times, dealing with frustration. However, everything was solved soon enough, and they paid back an estimate amount of the goods we had in the bag. All in all, we strongly recommend the hotel - cozy, very good value for money, nice view, and well positioned.
right 2 rooms for 2people so near subway
My husband and I secured two rooms for the same price or better than one room at other locations. One room way too small for two people. Our rooms were next to each other. Location of subway just across the street. Good restaurants locally. Management very attentive. Although reception is the size of a match box they were very helpful and friendly. Map provided. Breakfast was basic and filling with cappuccino machine. Small elevator but doable. If you are old it will be difficult to climb narrow and steep stairs. Area felt very safe to walk day or night. Very near Moulin Rogue and 15 min fit walk to Sacre Couer. Will stay here again. Excellent wifi.
Surely not a good choice to book this hotel.
The hotel was small over all. The thing which was most disturbing was the rooms were so close to each other that you can clearly hear the person talking inside the room from out. While sleeping, you can hear the other's door bangs right in your ears. We got ourselves classic single room with double bed.The room space was very limited. there was no fridge in it. The wardrobe was so small that it could hardly accommodate one person's belongings instead of two. there were no room slippers or anything else provided in the room which u usually get in other hotels. In short, room was very congested for two persons. NEVER TAKE THEIR BREAKFAST OFFER EVEN IF OFFERED FOR FREE! breakfast area was extremely congested. it had more people then the chairs to sit. Some guests were waiting to get space empty. Their breakfast offered literally nothing except some fruits, breads, ready-made omelet and sausages with hot drinks. the menu was same everyday. it is way better to go out to any street cafe and get a good breakfast done with wide variety in less money. The only positive point was its locality. every thing was available in this area from pharmacy to food and metro station was just 10 steps away. Staff was friendly too.
No amenities television does not cater to tourist
The hotel did not offer any amenities . The location was great, however the selection in the breakfast was not plenty and there was no accommodations or on site facilities or dining options / room serv
Great location with a scary elevator.
When the remodeling is done it should be great. The staff is great! The elevator is tiny....even by French standards and makes odd noises and bumps that I was scared every time I rode in it. The room was lovely but tiny...had to put my suit case in the bathroom under the sink.
Close to everything, very helpful front desk staff
The entrance looks a bit sketchy, but the rooms are brand new and very modern and comfortable. A great place to stay to be close to metro and Montmarte, as well as a lot of reataurants and nightlife
Exceeded all expectations. Great value for money
Amazing time. Staff were so friendly, perfect for a weekend break in Paris. Located right beside the metro and very close to moulin rouge. Lovely food places nearby as well as a great supermarket next door. Plenty of bars around at typical Parisian prices but they do offer happy hour. Room service provided fresh bed linen and towels each day. All in all would reccommend to anyone. Free wifi was good but tended to be slower at evenings. If you want a good hotel with a great location and a decent price, This is the one for you
Nice location in Paris
Near the metro, tiny stairs, almost one-person elevator, but great location and comfort.
Great hotel!!
I had a great time in Paris. The hotel had an excellent location which was key to travel around the city. Excellent service and friendly staff.
Best Western Paris thumbs up
The room was sound proof WiFi was great Service was very good Would certainly stay here again
Room was small but nice with a great view.
Clean, but maybe too clean?
Room was clean, bed was comfortable but the water tasted like soap and I could hear my neighbor's tv clearly through the bathroom. Breakfast was expensive (€10) but tasty. The woman working in the breakfast room was fantastic. She works so hard.
Great stay!
This hotel was perfect with a great location. Warning my room was a little small but okay just to go to sleep after a day exploring the city. Around so many restaurants and moulin rouge is a 5 minute walk. Metro to get to all the attractions of Paris was also a 5 minute walk. The area is so alive at night which is perfect for going out. I felt very safe during my time at this hotel. The staff was also very friendly and made me Feel welcome as soon as I walked in the door. Overall great stay!
A good stay
Rooms in good condition, a bit noisy. The keys have to be left at the front desk, no checks when asking for keys back in the evening...
Great location few steps away from train station
The staff is very nice and very helpful. Clean bedroom and bathroom. I would recommend to reserve with breakfast which is very good.
Good location.
Very near metro. Good base for travelling. Rooms are small but most rooms are in Paris. Ask for higher floor since rooms are larger than lower floors. Lots to do around area. Good places to go out next to hotel in evening. Value for money.
Lovely stay
Hotel was ideally located 30 seconds from the metro station, and had an array of restaurants, bars and cafe's. The hotel is small and so was our room but fine for a city break. Only negative for us was there was a lot of noise at night from other rooms playing loud music.
Our stay was great the Hotel manager was very helpful she aided us in several things. The area is nice it's a part of town that stays up late which was perfect for us because it took us a while to get adjusted to the time change. Public transportation was very close to us as well
Good value
Staff and all were great. Helpful, friendly, responsive.
Small Gem in Place de Clichey
I love small little boutique hotels and this one checked all the boxes. Although small even by Paris standards, the bathroom was nice, the TV and the WiFi worked well. I love, Love this neighborhood so, I will stay here again. The staff was wonderful, and there were two Madames who were on 27 and 28 September were so nice, they even took time to help me with my French. I hope they will forgive me forgetting their names.
The housekeeping was poor and spoilt my holiday. There were problems with things not working, the curtains, closure of the window, the safe. The room was not properly stocked up. The main problem for me was that having booked a taxi for me to get my flight home and charging me at the desk for the fare the taxi driver then charged me 50 euros at the airport. I paid a total of 54 euros. This was despite me being told by the night manager that there was no more to pay. When I spoke to the night manager at the hotel on the phone he said I must have taken the wrong taxi but this is totally wrong because the taxi driver had my name and he showed me the booking on his screen. The taxi driver was pleasant enough and did check the situation with his control but was told I had to pay. He did still have my bag in the taxi and I did need to catch my flight so I paid up.
Good, clean, budget hotel. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was small but well maintained and location was perfect for our needs. 5 minutes walk from the Moulin Rouge, metro and buses in walking distance. Would definitely stay again
Clean room and friendly staff.
The hotel is conveniently located very close to the Place de Clichy metro station of metro line number 2 which takes you directly to the Arc de Triomphe and Pigalle. It’s also right around the corner from the Moulin Rouge. The Place de Clichy also has several good bistros and restaurants and there are some small convenience stores and supermarkets in the neighborhood as well. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful and spoke good English. The room and bathroom were spotlessly clean. When we were in Paris, there was a heat wave with temperatures of up to 37 C / 98F each day but the air conditioning of the room provided a relief from the heat outside when we got back after a day of sightseeing. The breakfast buffet had a good selection of breads, cheese, ham, salami, fruits, coffee and tea, plus fruit juices. All together, a good place to stay when you visit Paris.
Good location, clean room
I stayed there in June for three nights. The location was great, in front of a convenient metro station. The hotel is very small, no front lobby, but not unusual for a hotel in Paris. The elevator is tiny, two suitcases and one person at a time. But it works. The room was tiny, but clean and functional. The breakfast option was a good deal too, since a cup of coffee and a Danish set would cost about the same outside, while the hotel breakfast buffet offers eggs, meats, sausages, fresh fruits, yogurts, cereals, juice, and danishes and breads between 7 - 10 am. If you are a big breakfast eater, the hotel breakfast is definetely better. The only problem we had during the stay was that there is only one cleaning staff and it took her forever to come up to our floor. Usually we came back to the room by 4pm, and the room was not made yet. Then we had to ask the front for fresh towels, it took up the cleaning person's time, then we gave up on the house cleaning because it was so late. but over all, the staffs were very kind and helpful, speaking English fluently, I would stay at this hotel again if I visit Paris again.
Best Western Montmartre
the hotel price was good. the room was tiny, but the little balcony was very cute. there were two of us in the room. the room was very clean and relatively modern, which is surprising once you enter the hotel. it is fine for those who simply need a place to sleep. it definitely makes two people closer considering the limited space. there is a tiny closet and no room for two people to really walk around or get dressed at the same time. however, it is not bad. if you are traveling alone, it is definitely fine. the location is pretty central and plenty of restaurants around.
Convenient Location.
The hotel although small which is typical of Paris was in a perfect location for the metro and bistros. The room was renovated to a modern and sleek design with black out curtains perfect for a good nights sleep. Staff especially the manager were very helpful, giving us a map of the city, offering to organise transfers and giving us directions of places we were looking for. We would definitely stay here again.
Excelente
Doccia grande, stanza piccola.
Stanza molto piccola doccia molto grande.
Basic, clean, safe and in prime location.
