It was great
Best luxury value for money on Park Lane London!
Very convenient, simple yet stylish accommodation on Park Lane
Perfect location and friendly staff, but the rooms are tired and in desperate need of a renovation. Could be so much better with some updates!
Great Option, close to everything
Overall the stay was okay. We went for our anniversay and stayed one night. The hotel was great in accommodating wheelchair needs. However, we had mentioned we do not drink and for some reason they switched the complimentary wine with another wine. This was corrected after we pointed it out. The room was overall good but not amazing as we expected for the price and location, in particular the bathroom. While the general staff were fantastic we had major issues at breakfast. Service was exceptionally slow and every single guest (it was easy to hear) was complaining about the service. Again, not what you expect for the price. Spa services were fantastic and would thoroughly recommend them.
I love the Cosmopolitan-- Shambhala products in bathroom are amazing but I miss the Met Bar!!!
The Metropolitan is sleek, modern and clean.
Birthday Trip!
Had a fantastic stay at The Como...concierge person were excellent!!
Spacious room and good location
I liked that outlets are within walking distance, offer of spa, restaurant and bar. However would have preffered buffet style breakfast. I personally like the location however, being cornered by hotels is a personal preference that I am not most comfortable with - however, I was aware of this. Overall, excellent experience at the property
well appointed rooms and very attentive/ helpful staff
All great location . Staff . Room
I will be staying here again :D
Staff was very attentive, food options were healthy and filling, gym facilities were great
Positives: - Staff were all super friendly and attentive, very easy to get help with anything (including my request for a top sheet!) - Room service was very thorough every day - Bed was comfy and the room was spacious - Really liked the cubby for luggage - Location was great (close to Hyde Park, 20m walk to Marylebone, short walk to the tube) - Laundry service was great - Didn't get a chance to work out, but the gym had adequate equipment for strength (bench/rack) and cardio Negatives: - Was woken up early the first two days due to loud banging from maintenance on the building; they easily moved me to a different room, but I wish it would have been offered proactively, especially since I had to pack and unpack all of my stuff to move rooms - Foam pillows were underwhelming - No USB-C charging, and no chargers next to the bed - Tub drained slowly and the drain would close whenever you stepped on it, and the glass "door" on the tub was challenging to open/close due to the rubber seal deteriorating - TV didn't work - Breakfast was mediocre given the price - 15gbp "service charge rooms" fee each night Overall: I enjoyed staying at the Como, and it ended up being a nice place to relax after some very long days exploring London. I just wish the facilities were a little more modern.
We were greated by Vishwa who was always helpful . Excellent host
Great staff, always Always willing to please and solve my requirements.
modern, clean, great staff,
Try the COMO Halkin instead.
I used to love staying at this property. Location is great. However the service has deteriorated unfortunately. Found the room DND light not working properly. They corrected with a sign which was perfect for me. But then they never came by to replenish with fresh bottle water even when sign was off and not even during normal room cleaning. So I had no bottled water. The sink drain was not working correctly. The tub/shower drain was not working properly. They fixed both upon my request, but for this level of hotel, it should have been right without me requesting. The room is starting to show its age due to wear on the carpet and such. I am going back to London in a few days and based upon this stay I already booked to go to the Sheraton Grand rather than back to COMO Metropolitan.
The price was too expensive, the elevator was broke, they have limited quantities of iron.
Everything about this hotel was great. The room; the service; the location - all are great. When I return to London, this will be my hotel.
Great stay.
Great Hotel
Beautiful boutique hotel in Mayfair, one of the best neighborhoods in London. Nubu is on the first floor. Spacious and clean rooms.
The mattress and pillows were uncomfortable Furniture looked old and the price was too high
I am always impressed how fresh the owners keep the Metropolitan. Service was also impeccable. Location couldn’t be better.
A great hotel in the perfect location
This is a fantastic hotel. In London, there are three things to consider when chooding a hotel: 1) Location, 2) Comfort, 3) Price. The Como wins big-time on all three. The location is right next to Hyde Park near Picadilly, so it's a short walk to bus stops and tube stations. The room is incredibly comfortable and the bed is amazing. The price of the room is reasonable and affordable and in this case, you definitely get what you pay for.
Nice stay and staff are friendly
Overall good
Great location and friendly staff
Great, stylish hotel
the stay was great and the hotel was very nice and the location is amazing and the staff vishioa & max. they are soo professional and friendly thanks
Excellent as always
good
The staff was outstanding. Rooms were spacious, clean, and modern
Excellent Service on arrival and on a continuous basis from staff. Breakfast is excellent. Rooms clean. Only noticed carpet in room a bit old but still ok
Great place, very well located, and very walkable.
Great Hotel - Great Location
We have stayed at the COMO Metropolitan London several times. The staff is friendly and helpful. The rooms are great. The location is perfect. We can’t wait to return.
Solid, decent hotel with good price and good location. Just lacks charm and character. Neither modern nor traditional, elegant British style. Functional.
Where do I begin? At check in, after a long day of travel, they have a waitress asking what you would like to drink. Beware, this is not a complimentary drink/beverage as you would expect. It is a charge. They will stop you as you exit the lobby towards your room. You have been informed! We had a brick house apartment. The lock on the door was broken and did not close. We did not realize this until we came back later that night and pushed the door open. This is not safe and a complete breach of our safety and security. The apartment did not have any heat in the dead of winter (December). They had to send up maintenance to turn on the space heaters. The rooms and entire apartment needed cleaning. There were spider webs, and dirt/debris all over the filthy floors, kitchen, you name it, it felt dirty. The restrooms are so dated and small. The shampoo/conditioner/body wash is almost like water. Thankfully we brought our own toiletries, but if you want watered down toiletries, by all means. The washing machine, was an added benefit, so we thought. Beware, there is no cold water. There is only HOT water. Your clothing may get ruined like ours. If you don't mind this, wash at your own discretion. The dryer does not dry. Hang dry using the racks provided. The elevator...unbelievable. We got stuck in the elevator on the day of checkout. The front desk said, it does a reboot sometimes?!?! Service this already. I don't know how this hotel is 5 stars. Highest 3 star at most.
Not so spotless anymore
I used to be a regular at Como a couple of years ago before Brexit. Although the rooms are simple, the location is great and most of all I appreciated how spotless and well-maintained it always was. I decided to give it a go again yesterday and was disappointed. The rooms are in worse shape: the tub doesn’t drain well, there’s mould around the shower stall and in the sink overflow hole. I appreciated the refreshed equipment in the gym though.
Another great stay at COMO Metropolitan
Another wonderful stay at COMO Metropolitan, great attention to detail. I had a lovely room (801) looking East towards the city - great sunrises! A superb view. Sumptuous selection in the minibar! I had excellent interactions with all the staff especially Roland Rimóczi who was incredibly helpful. I'll be back for sure.
Simply perfect
Simply an amazing hotel! They get everything right, from the fab smelling toiletries to the quailty of the bedding, to the amount of lights in the room this hotel is perfect!
Great hotel. Great location. Would definitely stay again
This is not a five-star hotel. There were many small inconveniences throughout my stay including a broken touchpad, which is required to operate the window shades, climate control and lights. The pendant light in my room was broken, the tv stopped working abruptly midway through my stay, and the bathrooms are in dire need of a renovation. The front desk staff are attentive but uncomfortably so - everyone just stares at you if you linger in the lobby longer than a second. Meanwhile, it is almost impossible to get anyone on the phone for concierge or room service. It’s a run-of-the-mill business motel masquerading as a five star hotel. The rates are low for a reason.
Wonderful hotel with very friendly staff. Would definitely stay again. Only improvement I would suggest is to the gym - functionality of some of the equipment doesn’t work
Nice staff and service
Wonderful staff--shout out to both Robert at concierge and Roland at reception!
London Stopover
3 Day stay at end of Euro trip. Fantastic intake from Staff - great location - esp short walks around great parks.
The staff were superb as they are at all COMO properties. Attentive but discreet. The food was delicious. A thoroughly enjoyable stay, I'd recommend a COMO hotel anywhere
Room was amazing the views on to the park awesome. Very hot in London but the AC worked extremely well. The whole experience was brilliant
Staff were brilliant and really helpful, would definitely stay again
Breakfast needs some improvement!
The hotel is close to many sights, however; I would not stay here again. This area is not good for "normal" people. We felt a bit uncomfortable because this whole area has a lot of wealthy people. The manager corrected a problem that we brought up and I appreciated her quick response. The rooms were high tech but not one of the best rooms I have stayed in during my trips to the UK. For the price, not really worth it.
Outstanding location service and staff. Close to everything in one of the most upscale areas of London
Have been staying here several times and it was always all great but this time it was not. Breakfast was wrong 3 days out of 4 and insufficient (continental for one person charged as if was for two- not fully removed from the bill) Bills for room service have a charge added at the end of the stay, and there is a “general service charge” added to the daily rate). And yet the bills for room service have a line for gratuity as if no service was charged Room was never done before 4pm and twice I had to wait in the lobby for two hours, including one when i asked for the room to be ready in an hour (at 3pm and I had indicated to service it at noon) and I returned one hour after my request to find the room untouched I expected a package and 5 hours after it arrived it was found only when the sender provided time and signatory because the hotel insisted that no package had arrived. Worth 350-400 pounds max not 600 a night.
View of Hyde Park from our room was great. Room was spacious and well designed. Excellent breakfast and breakfast service. Nobu restaurant in the hotel was very impressive, stylish and delicious. Once again excellent service there too. Such a convenient location it is well worth paying more than other hotels for the convenience, service, space and attention to detail.
Excellent Service
Friendly greeting, and nothing was too much trouble. Bonus that the room was ready for an early check in too.
Excellent location and walkability
Perfect business hotel next to shopping and Hyde park. Wonderful location to walk London eateries and high end shops. I would also consider staying here with my wife as I believe it would be enjoyable due to excellent location and the hotel being very nice, quiet and relaxing. Nobu is here as well. Service is impeccable.
it was a very enjoyable stay
The staff was very attentive and although there were more than 120 rooms it felt like a small boutique hotel in terms of service. The room was large and very functional. The reasons I gave a 4 star rating rather than 5 are: - no business center - the breakfast area was in room on the 1st floor with no windows. Not very inviting esp. when you consider the hotel is on the east end of Hyde Park - the bar on the ground level was closed. Overall my experience was very good and I would consider staying there again.
The property is really nice and the staff couldn’t have been any nicer!
Great hotel now slightly out of date (it’s from the early 2000) but since it was over the top when built it is still great and great value
Awesome location, more of a 4 star stay though but price is reasonable compared to neighboring hotels. Spa is an absolute gem. Jana was amazing. Would stay here again as it was cozy, clean and quiet.
Still quality
A little disappointing, we have previously stayed at the hotel and noticed that some of the previous touches have disappeared. No camp;imentary newspapers, and no slippers in the room. Still very good with quality stSyill quality but have to confess I do not like to see loss of amenity.
Nice hotel
Never fails to disappoint. Understated luxury with amazing, professional friendly staff. Thank you 🙏
Basically this hotel is not 5 stars or equivalent. The room was spacious. Other than that, they are old. Housekeeping is rude with entering guest’s room even when I answered come later. The staff in this hotel do not speak English well but they speak well in Spanish and Philippian English. Unless you are from South America, Spain or Philippines, please reconsider to stay in this hotel. Otherwise, there would be communication problems. The airconditioner was out of order. The breakfast was supposed to be included but the front desk told me wrong information that the breakfast was not included. They are total disasters. Please reconsider booking this hotel. They will ruin your trips in London.
Check in was 3pm but my room was not ready at that time. There is currently no bar in the hotel. I was unable to alter the aircon setting in my room. It would not go below 24 degrees. The shower is in the bath (very poor) and the bath was extremely high so difficult to enter and there was no hand rail. Someone will inevitably slip and hurt themselves
Unfortunately the stay at this hotel was not asked expected. I complained about noise above my room ( and I mean noise ) Advised reception of the issue. They seemed indifferent and said they would investigate. Despite this I got little or no sleep. Upon check out - asked if I would stay again ! Certainly for me il seek an alternative hotel next time. Also staff should realise it’s the customers staying at such hotels that funds their wages !
Wonderful hotel and amazing staff! This hotel is within walking distance of Buckingham Palace and Hyde Park. Just a quick walk away from the Hyde Park Underground. I would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to stay in London but not be right in the middle the touristy areas. It is safe and quiet. Quite a few lovely pubs tucked away in Mayfair as well that were wonderful lunch and dinner spots.
I have stayed in this property many times over the years. It has been unchanged with no upgrades since my first stay in 2016. However, other than old TVs, it is still generally up to date, modern, nice and very conveniently located in the heart of Mayfair by Hyde Park. This was an Expedia VIP booking but I was disappointed that despite requesting a room upgrade to only 2sqm larger room with the same view, I was quoted $600/night for it! All I got for the VIP was a cheap bottle of wine which I didn't even use. I spent a lot of money and stayed 7 nights so I would have appreciated at least a 1-level room upgrade.
Very clean and modern rooms.
Great staff
Great rooms, helpful staff, outstanding location
Felt Like Home!
Perfect location for a Winter Wonderland visit topped off by a great dinner at Nobu. Couldn't have asked for anything more. The staff was brilliant and the room was perfect! We felt at home!
Great hotel
Very good service, check in was very easy, friendly staff and great location. Thoroughly recommend.
Overall a nice stay...
Overall our stay was very good. The room was clean, room service excellent, the only thing lacking a bit for a hotel of this caliber was the reception services.
Good London location hotel. Good standard and staff are very attentive. Breakfast food and staff where excellent
Staff were excellent, very friendly and extremely efficient. Brilliant breakfast, large spacious room. Would stay here again.
Perfect location, Nobu on site was a huge bonus as all restaurants were in lockdown. Room was large with all the equipment we needed. The hotel was very clean, room was spotless. Staff very helpful and kind.
Complimentary water on arrival. My stay was very good.
Very bad experience, I will never come back even if it’s free.
The hotel is in a great location and all of the staff are incredibly friendly helpful and knowledgeable. The room was lovely and the breakfast delicious. I would highly recommend it.
It was amazing, th hotel location is perfect to get to everywhere tbh.. highly really recommended
Never fails to deliver -- Consistent... Attentive...
great staff, amazing location, everything is perfect
Tytytytytytyygyygyyyhyhyuhhhuuhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhghgghggh
Excellent. Spacious rooms. Modern. GREAT location. Stayed in the basic city view room and have zero complaints.
Surely not a 5 star nor a 4 star hotel House cleaning sub-optimal Services minimal or absent The only redeeming factor is location but a little more or less with same location many other better options Very disappointing
Fantastic stay
Always excellent. Great location, service, beds, linen. Gym is also excellent.
A fantastic hotel, great services and most importantly, wonderfully attentive staff!
Service was generally great. Breakfast service was very slow
wonderful. Great Staff. Great place. Excellent location
Two topics to be improved: 1) Bathroom - it could be more modern and the mirror for make up better 2) Heater of the room. The first night was freezen even after change the temperature What I liked most: 1) The two restaurants in the hotel are wonderful. Very good quality 2) The area
The bathroom was very disappointing! The shower drain did not work the entire stay despite having their maintenance fix it 3 times. The minute the shower turned on water started to pool at the bottom. They offered to change my room the last evening however it was already late and I didn't want to move that night then check out the next morning especially since I had an event that night. They did offer to help me move however being that I already unpacked and my things were dispersed, I thought it more inconvenient than anything. The last evening the maintenance even removed the drain and though it helped it still drained too slow and water collected at my feet. Also the light on the mirror in the bathroom didn't work nor did one of the USB connections. The other parts of the room were as advertised and if the drain would have worked overall the price and location would have been pretty good.
Absolutely excellent service and a fabulous location for a 3 day stay! Staff made us feel at home - including at the Gridiron restaurant (excellent). Only comment is the building itself is a bit dated (old carpeting, hard to find plug points, slightly dated bathrooms and tubs). Could use with a slight refurbishing, but would definitely stay again!
The hotel is beautiful but the management is not professional First they gave me a very old apartment without A/c and then asked for 2000 £ more for an apartment with a/c Service was very slow not responding from 1 call
I highly recommend this hotel for the location and the rooms are new and modern
Clean, refreshing, sophisticated, great location. Couldn't have been happier with the property
