I enjoyed my stay. It was close to the jet express. The room was clean, but the air conditioner needs some help. The room seemed clean and just what we needed

Loved that it had several options for food and drink that you could walk to. Friendly staff! Quaint area right by the water but everything you need!

A very bad experience there this past weekend. People up yelling until 2-3am, then more people yelling in the parking lot, no room darkening blinds so the little sleep we got was interrupted as soon as the sun came up. All of this at $295 for one night?! Awful. I can’t see my or my family ever staying here again. I had stayed here in August of 2022 and it was so much better.

Mediocre

It wa mediocre at best. The room was missing a few amenities, such as iron and board. Ice bucket. And ice machine. The air conditioner didn’t work well. It was wet in the room. Like the moisture was being sucked back into the room.

Nice but overpriced.

Room and hotel were nice. But you're paying for the location near jet express. $300 for one night was pretty steep for what you get. Staff were friendly and helpful. No breakfast which is crazy for that price. Great if you're taking a trip to the island, but wouldnt pay 300 for that hotel otherwise.

We had a wonderful stay! Everything was clean and comfortable! Loved the jetted tub in the room. Staff was so nice and accommodating.

Convenient hotel to Jet Express

Liked close to Jet Express, downtown and dining options.. room was very average…. Beds decent, towels are very thin and cheap feeling, refrigerator would make loud popping noise keeping us awake, shades were not light blocking so got very bright in the room early in the morning. It was just an ok experience..not bad not great…

Property is mediocre for staying in Port Clinton but what we really did not like was the Mexican restaurant at the site had music ridiculously loud until late hours. After 11 we wanted to sleep. Not sure why the music had to be so loud.

Okay, but could use updates

Our room was dated. Room was clean. Good setup with pool and outdoor bar. They do have entertainment at the bar on Friday and Saturday. We were in for wedding, so we’re not able to see the entertainer. Staff were friendly, to my wife and I. Price was high for the accommodations.

The rooms look like a typical 80s Holiday Inn but were clean. The front desk people are not trained in hospitality but they really do their best to help. All vending machines were sold out in water and tap water tastes really bad. Bring your own beverages. They have a new pool bar which is what got me the most excited about this property but ended up being a big issue. Beware that they allow access to non-guests. We happened to have to share the space with a group of middle agers who behaved like Spring Breakers. They were very intoxicated, the ladies were flashing their breasts and they were throwing toys around like toddlers and splashing water on everyone who wanted to just enjoy a good time by the pool. I mean, if you are around a pool you will get splashed here and there, but these were massive amounts and these toys near missed my face and head by inches a few times, which triggered me to ask for help. The employees refused to intervene after multiple requests and one bar tender turned rude towards me. They have a Cantina on property that brings a DJ. The party is kind of nice, however people congregate by its exit door and extend the party into the parking lot, which is right below the guest’s windows. It is a lot of noise from people talking loudly and again the property managers seem to not care. THIS IS NOT A GOOD PLACE FOR FAMILIES. It might be a good fit for under 30s with low bar for hospitality looking for party (and low bar for parties too)

Great location. The floor would have been more comfortable than the bed.

Not good!

Door lock stopped working and we had to move to a different room. In that room, none of the plumbing would drain.

"My memorial weekend stay".

The over all experience was not a WOW moment to remember. The complimentary bar of soap was so small it looked like a breath mint. The walls were totally bare. No Continental breakfast, no clock radio or alarm clock.

Clean and comfortable!

Very clean room! Front desk was kind. Will come back again. We always stay at this hotel when ok the area because we know it's clean.

Needs repairs

Not so good. Door lock ran out of battery and we couldn’t get in. We had to move to another room. The tub and sink wouldn’t drain in that room.

Eclipse Party

The hotel staff went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. We drove in Sunday night ate at the attached restaurant and were planning to go to the beach area for the eclipse. We found out from the lot attendant and one of the guests that there was a party across the street, and that we would need passes to park in the lot, and wrist bands for their get together. The "boss lady" would be the one to help us with that he said. She hooked us right up, so we hung out in the lot and watched the eclipse from there with a band playing near the pool as I said making it trip memorable. Much thanks!

Loud vibration in room. Otherwise nice and they are dog friendly. Having eclipse party tomorrow.

Room was comfortable felt it could have been a little cleaner.

Our room was clean and all the workers were very polite and helpful only thing I can say was they need to serve breakfast just a cereal bar with fruit would make the stay excellent

It was a great location by ferry, staff was kind and friendly. The room was clean, carpet was not and bed was hard as a rock. It served it's purpose though

The pool was open until 11pm that was awesome. access to private beach across the street was very nice. Also close to all activities. I took my 5 kids and we had a great time.

Nice location. Staff was helpful. Carpet in rooms was not clean. Key cards were horrible.

Jet Express

Our room was very clean, check in was simple, very convenient location to the jet express and other things, We will stay again for future trips.

You our staff was excellent! Some guests can be incredibly selfish - someone brought 2 dogs and left them alone, the dogs were yapping non stop for quite a while! The young fellow at the desk did all he could but it did not stop until the person owning the dogs came home! The property is perfectly located to get to restaurants bars etc! Thanks

Nice basic hotel and was great location for walking downtown Port Clinton and to Jet Express. Room was clean and nice to have Mr Ed's connected for drinks and good food! Definitely would stay here again. Reasonable pricing for area also.

Property was clean, in good repair, surprisingly client and the coffee was excellent.

The hotel was clean and safe. I booked a room with 2 queen beds and was given 2 full-size and when asked about it, I was told that was all they had. No extra pillows or blankets were available. There was a big event going on in the area and they did have rooms available at such a last minute and the price was good. We would stay there again but will bring extra pillows next time

LOVED THE FACILITIES.. OUT DOOR BAR AND MR ED'S WERE WONDERFUL

We stayed in a room with a jacuzzi..it had a nasty bathtub ring in it..The Windows were filthy ( I actually left a sticky note on the Window saying " clean me) I'm clean houses for a living and I seen a lot it of little details left out in the tidying of the room. On a good note the beds were very comfy .and staff very friendly

The beds were not comfortable.

The property is connected to a bar/restaurant called Mr Eds. The bartender working that evening was super very friendly and customer oriented. This is hard to find today. The room was reasonable for what I required- no issues noted.

Close to jet express. Nice restaurant-bar inside. Very clean rooms and spacious.

The sunrise

It was conveniently located to everything. Across the street from the lake and a nice restaurant. Will definitely stay there again.

We rented a jacuzzi room that was awful. The tub and floors were filthy. Our view was of the side of a building or something. Most of the carpet squares did not match up allowing dirt to get trapped in between. The base of the toilet at the floor was absolutely disgusting. The comforter on the bed might as well have been a cargo blanket.

Elevator was slow and our room was across from it so when it hit the floor it would ding loud enough to hear it in the room

Staff was very helpful. We came up a day early and they helped us find a room for the night. Room for first night was a little dated, but clean. Room for 2nd night was nice. Views of the lake from both rooms were very nice. Would stay there again.

One of the best locations around, and Extremely fresh, along with soft comfortable beds.

Loitering

The bar closes apparently at 11 and there were people fighting and arguing all night in the hall. None of the management seemed to care and nothing was done.

Very Nice!

Our stay was amazing, We had a great time. We arrived at 7 a.m. to see if we could pre check-in because we wouldn't be back until after 6 p.m. and our room wasn't rented the night before so we were able to bring our luggage in. That was awesome!!

The showers suck

This property is convenient to Jet Express, has an amazing pool and pool bar with great staff, and onsite dining facilities. Wheelchair accessibility accommodations and a pool lift should be improved.

Tub didn’t drain, found a dirty blanket wrapped in a ball by bathroom shelf, music from downstairs was really loud (even on the 2nd floor)

even though we were right next to the outdoor bar we could barely hear anything from it in our room. only thing i can think of that was a bit of a concern is that when we got to our room from check in the door was not locked. it took extra effort to shut it each time. we locked at night and had no issues with it completely shutting with the extra efforts. room 104

Nice clean hotel in a good area. In an area where there wasn’t a lot of Mayflies (at least I didn’t notice them as much here) which was Perfect for me. Only down side was the pool was down the entire trip and the bathroom is a bit small, but at least it’s clean! Nice bar/restaurant attached to the hotel with some seriously good pizza!! Great prices too!! Would stay again.

Disappointed

I was disappointed with my stay to say the least. The toilet didn't work, the sink would not drain, qnd we found moldy food in the room. It was terrible, I would not recommend this place to anyone. They did not move us to another room. They gave us a plunger for the toilet and told us to call back when the general manager was in. Very unprofessional.

Been visiting this place for years! Very disappointed at this visit! I book on line when I got there they told me another price(($20) more I showed them my booking and excepted it however upon check out they slapped a room fee and resort fee and taxes on equal to the amount they wanted to charge. Pool was closed! my room was subpar (no doors closed right ). But for 200.00 a night ! No ! I’m truly sorry to see this place go! On to a new adventure! Love Port Clinton we will be back just not to the Commodore.

I hated the view , it was of an alley and a building wall, and a pile of broken concrete & empty paint cans, and ladders, vehicles driving through, and people walking, not enough light in the room, and the bathroom was tiny, definitely not at all worth 300$ , outdated

If looking for a water view look elsewhere.

I was hoping of a better water view or even beach access. Room was nice and served it purpose. Staff was very friendly.

Clean and comfortable.

The hotel is undergoing renovations. But the room was clean and comfortable. There was no cleanup service because of COVID. Parking became an issue because they shared a lot with Mr. Ed’s.

We stayed in room 105 and the tub wouldn’t drain. The sink wouldn’t drain and the toilet wouldn’t flush.Pretty disappointing considering the tub was the reason we booked it in the first place. And not having a bathroom...

No heat in first room, second room could not get key to work, staff or myself. Showered in the morning did not drain, staff tried to move us across the hall they couldn't get the door open so we left

Room was so dirty we had to get a refund and leave. Felt so dirty I had to wash all my clean clothes I had in the suitcase.

It was great we will stay there again.

The location was good and the rooms where clean for the most part.

Not worth what I paid. Beds are uncomfortable and of cheap quality. Was like sleeping on a cot. No outlets to plug in phones at bedside.

The hotel is very outdated. It took three attempts, with three different key cards, to get into our room. Our room had a strange smell, and didn’t appear very clean. The bathroom door wouldn’t close all the way, and the drain in the shower was extremely slow. The bed was somewhat comfortable; however only had a sheet. Upon checkout there were many employees standing around, and not one of them had the required mask on.

Great place to stay if room was clean

The front desk and servers were great! We also enjoyed that it is right across the street from Dock's Beach House where we could enjoy the sunset on the beach. We had gotten a suite 202, the shower had hair on the walls and drain, the comforters had what looked liked dried pizza sauce on them. Not sure how clean the room really was.

Enjoyed our stay very much. Hotel was clean. Pool was nice. Loved the location with the beach across the street. Restaurant had good food and great service.
