Excellent hotel. Room was spacious. Receptionist was lovely. Communal areas carpets were in need of a clean other than that it was a nice hotel
Room was modern, clean and the staff lovely. I slept perfectly despite my room being on the main road. Great sound insulation
I realize this is a budget hotel, but the carpet was dirty. You had to use your card 3 times every time you wanted to enter your room. I think the bed was broken, or perhaps a row of springs was bad. It was a hard part that ran the width of the bed where my hips were. The bathroom was very clean, and the location was pretty good.
Comfy and good value
A friendly receptionist, a small room, but well-maintained, clean and everything one would expect. The tv channels need an update, though.
Awful smelly bedsit AVOID!!!!!
Awful hotel/hostel filthy horrible female member on reception. Beds stained noisey smelly. Avoid at all costs. I dont usually write reviews but this place took my breath away. Should be condemned.
The staff was very kind and accommodating however the room carpet was stained and did not seem to be vacuumed. There was piping in the shower being covered up by crumbling drywall with no temperature regulation for water. Overall, is in a run down area of town…dingy. Would’ve rather paid slightly more for better location.
Very enjoyable. Excellent staff. Very clean and tidy.
We were disappointed.
The room was spacious and had recently been refurbished. The room was clean. The staff were friendly and helpful. The only issue was, the WIFI was very poor and kept stopping. This is an important issue for guests who are travelling.
the room was dirty, the light flickered on and off, there was mould in the bathroom, the carpet was stained and dirty, shower was dirty
Our room was clean, spacious and recently updated. Easy walk to the tube
Nothing fancy, but omfortable, clean everything works. For that price to be in central London? Great
Great stay
Would like to see recycling bins. Great price. Staff a bit happier. Good to see renovations being done Local to all attractions sites and tube stations
Great option.
Excellent location, close to everything
By no means xenophobic but blimey, it felt like I'd been transported to another world. I don't like the definition of 'hotel' these days. You pay alot of money for not alot of 'hotel' type experience. It was a room, with an ensuite shower/toilet etc with a noisy backdrop of hoovering, traffic noise and sirens through the night. For the price in London I guess it's ok value-wise but it's so dated and basic. Not for a special occasion but for neccesity only.
Location
You can hear every little thing your neighbors are doing. Guy in the room upstairs sounded like he weighed 600kg and was doing laps around his room.
Fire alarm went off at 2o clock no apologies very clean
This an excellent hotel for the price in London. The staff were very nice and helpful! It is not a five start hotel but it is a good deal.
Dated but said it is under renovations so we will check it out next year same time
Big room Daily housekeeping Plenty of room in bathroom
Good Stay, unfussy and easy, nice staff
Great for an overnight stay
Great location for my trip to London. Room was clean and quiet, which is what I needed.
The staff were friendly and cheerful. Unfortunately, the room had no Tv remote control, but apart from that, a lovely place to stay. Close to the underground which made travelling around London easy.
Convenient location and professionally run hotel. Liked having a kettle in the room with tea and coffee. Beds were comfortable and room clean and not noisy as we were at the back. We appreciated being able to leave our luggage after checkout until our much later train. Air conditioning was noisy. Two pillows would be a good addition. Overall, it was a positive experience and we would stay again.
Great stay.
Outdated hotel, carpets very old, toilet small and outdated too, however VERY clean, awesome daily room service and friendly staff. Area also very nice. I do recommend.
The hotel was lovely the surrounding area however was not
Ok
great in general
Many thanks we had a great stay
It’s a budget hotel, but it was fine. There is no hotel parking as advertised however.
Don't judge a book - - -
I was pleasantly surprised! Reception doesn't seem that enticing, but once inside it's difficult to fault the environment. My room was comfortable, with the added luxury of air con and opening windows - ok, so the Edgware Road isn't exactly quiet, but sound levels are consistent and easy to adjust to. Comfortable bed, real coathangers, and an excellent bathroom - compact, but spotless, efficient shower, and good storage. Breakfast was pretty good - basic continental with yoghurt , cereal, fruit , ham, cheese, eggs and intriguingly, a pancake maker. Good coffee! Pleasant and helpful staff! Would I return? Yes!
An amazing find. Convenient to Paddington and easy access to Kings Cross and Euston. Pleasant walk to central London. Brilliant staff comfortable room great breakfast and great price. I’ll be back!
We have not been able to contact the property, we left a pair of sunglasses and we would like to recover them if possible. Please send us a contact with them
Bad bad bad.... I hope they change that bed in 107 or 109 i dont even remember my room number ... yes i could have complain but too many hassles already but nevertheless bed should not be that bad at least for that price .... I really like to complain to you Hotels.com because u should review hotels in your site ! Not happy at all....
It is better if they put a small refregirator in rooms .
Despite being an old property it is good value for money. Great location, close to public transportation and easy to get in and out of London and to airports.
Basic but fine.
This is a pretty basic small hotel on the high street. Fine as a base for short stays, only a short stroll to tube station. Rooms could do with updating but are fine, air con is a bit wimpy, breakfast is pretty basic too. Plus side staff were really friendly.
Like a third-world country
The front desk rep. was professional and friendly. Yet, past that the hotel location is not what you would expect at all. It's almost like a 3rd world country old slum. The hotel is very dated. My room was freezing. I have no clue if it offered and Continental breakfast or beverages. My room looked liked it was for 2 seperate reservations so I did not know if some stranger was going to enter at night. The only blessing is it close to 3 train stations to get out of there.
Too small for the price So the room wasn't the similar or same as asked for
Great staff. Great location for transportation, grocery stores, eatery, pharmacy, train station. 20 minutes walk to big shopping area. Breakfast available. Hot, hot water, great water pressure for shower. Tea kettle, coffee and tea with bag available in the room
Friendly staff at check in. Room was very clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. Heating / air-con worked a treat and the room soon warmed up nicely. Continental breakfast was ample enough for me. The coffee machine had a great selection of coffees. Staff were very pleasant and proactive in replenishing boxes of cereal / slices of bread, as needed. More friendly staff when I checked out.
Comfy, quiet and clean
Comfort probably not the right word !
Arrived earlier than check in time. Very good to be allowed access to our room despite this.....although our 2 bed room was only a 1 bed room. This was sorted after going back to reception. The change was made quickly, however the proper room was as hot as the sun, it had an air con unit and small window, looking out onto a brickwall, not overly an issue as our stay was only with easy access to Lords cricket ground in mind. However when it came to bedtime, the room must have been 35 degrees or above, zero chance of sleep, the beds were way past their best and very uncomfortable, springs in them had come and gone long ago and more squeaks than a mouse with his little leg caught in a trap !! Anyhow we got through the night, a few stone lighter due to sweats ! Decor about the standard we expected, dont expect The Stafford ! On check out they tried to charge us for a 2nd room....I think the mix up upon arrival caused them slight confusion ! It was sorted after they looked into it, but a little bit of a waste of out time ! I might spend a bit more on a room next time.....Buy cheap....regret it.... I think that's the saying !!
We have stayed many times for the proximity to Lords. This will be the last time. It always has been a budget hotel but very clean with a reasonable continental breakfast. This time the first room had a TV and kettle that didn't work, There was no housekeeping because the cleaner ( only 1 for a hotel this size!) had called in sick. The poor young guy on reception was doing a double shift from 7am until 11pm because someone else had called in sick. He was so helpful with room changes and clean towels etc and deserves a medal and a pay rise! Really not good enough. We won't be back.
We have stayed here many times before as it is close to Lords. Its very basic but always clean and has light breakfast included. However this time no one informed us at check-in that there wouldn't be breakfast or any housekeeping so when we got back from cricket we had to wash up our cups, find someone to get clean towels and more tea and coffee. Poor young girl on duty was obviously on her own and overworking. Not good enough!
Worth the money
Clean, central. I asked for extra pillows and chair and they sent it up. No breakfast included sadly even though my booking highlighted this but they say it was due to the Covid situation.
Great location; so much culture and such great people. I love this part of London. The hotel front desk staff was professional and kind. The women at the front desk in the mornings and who checked me in was professional and very nice. The room was spotless and clean. Smell of cigarettes were in the hallways which was rather unpleasant. No one should smoke in any hotels, anywhere anymore it’s 2020. If stay again, and will next time I am in london.
ondon vist
Excellent value for money Clean, Friendly staff and great location Great to have air con in extremely hot weather during stay
Was an ok stay
Would not recommend staying here to friends kr family. Reception staff dont seeem to know what they doing air con in room was dusty. There was tea and coffee as promised in room and booked to have breakfast which didnt happen and wasnt informed wasnt going to be happening.
We booked last minute due to the storm and train home not running. Room was clean and ready, breakfast was very efficient and very friendly and helpful staff.
Five Star
Really good quality quiet and comfortable.
Nice, clean & friendly
My 2nd time and still good as before. Clean room, safe, free view TV, modern bathroom (shower) with hot water and soft white towels, Comfy soft bed, with good quality linen. Substantial continental breakfast, croissants, pastry, booked eggs, cheese, yogurt and fresh fruit available. Conveniently located only 4mins walk from the Edgware Rd tube station. With nearby food outlets (KFC) only 2 mins away. Staff very happy to help, supplying extra coffee and milk also shaving gel & razor as had forgotten mine.. overall a gem of a hotel in west London.
London Comfort ?
The hotel room was very basic but clean. The room that we were given seemed quite noisy because of the busy edgeware road which this hotel is on. The room key ( electronic card ) was very temperamental. I had on at least 2 ocaissions had to trek back to reception to get the key reinitialised for me to be able to enter my room. Breakfast was ok as a basic continental. I think the price charged even at a reduced rate was still far too much for what you got.
Overpriced
they really need to make a better first impression - the street is grim and then you walk into a tiny, shabby lobby. The room was large, clean and tidy. It would be fine for an emergency stay, but at a lower price.
Comfy, clean and adequate ...
In London for a weekend trip. Breakfast was adequate, room ok, cleanliness was ok but room was very hot. Air conditioning was weak, didn't do anything unless you stood immediately under it. Had to have it running day and night to keep it bareable ... Very little natural air. Location of hotel ok but not the best area. The staff were not particularly chatty or friendly, they did their job, but English was not their first language and accents were strong. It is a very international area, as white British we felt very much the minority.
Good place to Stay with family
It was a family trip... over all stay was good...room was clean ....could have been much better.. if toilet seat was fixed properly, very small size wash basin...... tv size was too small with no good channels for family.
It was hard to find as the sign for the hotel was so small and it looked like a shop front. It was very, very warm in the room and the A/C hardly blew out any cold air.
London trip July 2019
Person at the reception was very good. She made sure we get coffee at 6:30 when we left for airport before the breakfast started. Hotel was clean and comfortable.
ardis
We thought the room was a good size as was the bathroom. It was very clean throughout and the breakfast was good. Would stay again for sure. The staff were also very friendly. It as like a yard is as looked tiny from the outside but was really quite big inside.
Visiting for cricket world cup
Visiting for the cricket World Cup. Picked this hotel based on close to Lords Cricket Ground. It was a 10 minute easy walk to Lords. Clean and functional hotel. Wifi is erratic. Close to tube station and easily accessible from Heathrow. Daily breakfast was same everyday. No frills functional bed and breakfast nothing fancy.
Gratitude. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Great ambiance and wonderful atmosphere at Edgware Road. Thank You Zulqarnain Jamil
Good location it is what it is . Bed comfortable shower good
Hotel stay
Super stay at the Comfort Inn Edgware Road
Not a premium experience but priced like one.
The people who work there are fine and friendly and what they have is clean. I had a very noisy stay as not sound protected and on a noisy main road. Sink was cracked and shower cubicle only stayed closed with the help of an improvised metal handle. Some of the electrical installation in the bathroom frankly baffling and suspect. See photos.
I loved the room and facilities and how spacious it really was
Room looked smaller than advertised. Hot/Cold shower was not working as well.
Ok if just needing somewhere to sleep , something close to tube and not too expensive. Bit noisy as on the main road, and room was too warm.
Near where we wanted to be. Clean and tidy. Decent continental breakfast.
Air con didn’t work nor did the WIFI .. the rest was fine
London trip for Lords
Basic but comfortable and clean. Staff helpful.
Well located for Lord's cricket ground
Unassuming frontage to Edgewater Road, with a deceptively large hotel behind.
Small but in good condition despite humble exterior. Friendly staff. Local area not in center of town but OK with proximity to Little Venice & cricket grounds.
Hotel in walking distance of Lords Cricket ground
Hotel not in a very nice area especially at night and expensive for what it had to offer. Complimentary continental breakfast was good
Breakfast was disappointing. Very limited and mostly toast. Room temperature was hard to regulate and the AC made noise all night. My other room (kids) was very able to get cool and bathroom was HOT all week.
not great
location was good.pretty central to where i needed to go. check in was very easy and quick. the staff were really friendly, they repaired the room safe immediately for me. the hose on the shower was broken, didn't report it at the time as my stay was for two nights only as it worked to a degree. the air conditioning unit was like an asthmatic mouse. i understand the time of year it being mid June but the heat in this little room was unbearable so i got very little sleep as the only window that could be opened was about 12' x 10' had to leave that closed as the traffic was very loud. the breakfast was continental and self service..(good coffee). the hotel front was dated and needs desperately to be modernized. over all the staff were really lovely.the hotel was clean. but the air conditioning really needs to be addressed especially at the prices charged. the breakfast could be improved.
Good value, nice room, poor customer service
The room was very comfortable and clean. The customer service when checking-in was rather poor. Overall satisfied with our stay, and a good price for central London.
Good value for money for overnight stay
I went with low expectations, £42 for a hotel in London seemed to good to be true. However I was pleasantly surprised; there was hot water, a kettle/tea in rooms, a lot of space and actually wifi in rooms (although it did disconnect a few times). Breakfast was fairly good as well, it had a big range. The area is a bit off putting and may scare you off at first however it is conveniently located near the Bakerloo line, tesco, sainsburys, a number of little restaurants and a dominoes so there is plenty to eat near by. Overall very good value for money.
Great value
Great value. If you book direct through the hotel, even better value + unlimited free wifi (compared to the 30 mins you get included if you book through a partner).
Great value for London
Good value, room quite modern and clean. However, breakfast was disappointing.
Good value
A simple comfortable place for a nights stay. Nice variety for breakfast
Would never go back
Everything falling apart.. patchy or non existent internet connection. I could go on, it suffices to say that one should avoid this establishment in a wide circle.
Not great value for money
It wasn't a great experience in all honesty. Wasn't good value, air con in the room didn't work so struggled to have a good nights sleep. The breakfast was average and no variety. There was no iron in the room which for a business stay isn't great. However the location was good.
Really good
Good
not bad at all
Given what I paid, this is not bad at all. I attended a conference at Hilton (about 10 minute walk). Hilton charges twice more and no breakfast. But Comfort Inn Edgware Rd gives you breakfast. I think this is a decent hotel and good enough for me.
Nice value for money hotel
Good location. Rooms bit small. Staff ok but could do with more training
Almost a top rating: wifi was only problem.
Would have had my top rating if Wifi had been better. Was much better at a restaurant and at Paddington Station and Heathrow Airport. Room was nice. AC worked great. Breakfast was good. Will I stay there again? Don't know. I'll have to call and be assured wifi is robust and working.
Very clean and comfortable stay. A great base to explore the city close to everything
Couple in adjacent bedroom talked all night so we got no sleep at all. They were smoking also which came into our room via the bathroom & was very unpleasant. At least it was just a 1 night stay.
good hotel for family trips
good value
Cheap and cheerful
We got an offer on the booking, and stayed at a very cheap price for central London. The hotel was basic and small, but clean. Service OK. Breakfast again basic but what was there was nice and we both enjoyed it. Cheap and cheerful, exactly what we expected, so no complaints from us. The only thing we didn't like was the location - its not in the nicest area.
Very close to the city center - Value for money
A decent hotel located within zone 1 of London. The room was very spacious, equipped with a big flat TV.
Nice hotel
Nice hotel but quite a walk down the edgeware road
Simple hotel
The hotel itself is very comfortable. Nothing fancy but had air conditioning. Close to the tube and attractions but definitely not the prettiest part of town.
Would definitely recommend you stay here.
A very pleasant stay, with everything on your doorstep. Local amenities in the area available all day and night. Close to the tube station for easy access to the rest of London. Within walking distance from Hyde Park and Oxford Road.Staff are very welcoming and pleasant on arrival and throughout our stay.
Poor
Air con was like a generator running / walls paper thin / outside noise riidcioilous / no hot breakfast and even bread that was on was still frozen. In a poor area as it was all foreign people and foreign restraunts. The staff were really nice and it was no reflection on them. If in a wheel chair forger it the lift can squeezing person in.
Great value for money
Great room and soacious.
Great for a one-night stay.
We were in London for a gig in Kentish Town, so were just looking for a bed for the night. The hotel was clean and well maintained, the bed was very comfortable and the room was warm. The continental breakfast was good and kept us going nicely until lunch time. The location is pretty good as well. We've stayed in a few hotels in London and this one definitely comes towards the top of our list. Overall, we were very happy with the hotel and will probably use it when we go to London for gigs in future.
Cracking sounding floor hence a lot of noise from the above room when they were walking; otherwise no issues.
5 star review
Fantastic hotel in Edgware. We had our 2 year old daughter and it felt comfortable and safe. Also, a great shower.
