Bedbugs
We weren't able to stay overnight as we had to vacate due to bedbugs/tics - 10/10 would not ever recommend.
Very friendly staff and welcome to the property.
Staff very friendly
Convenient, comfortable, a little tired.
Fantastic location for a conference at the Winter Gardens. So good to be right on the doorstep so you can pop back between sessions if needed. Very friendly and helpful staff. Room was comfortable and clean but quite tired. Corridors were very narrow and very worn out carpets. Breakfast was okay - but “English and continental” was a stretch. Contknental = toast and cereal: no fruit/pastry etc. Overall very convenient, reasonably comfortable, clean room
It was ok for a last minute overnight stay. The place is in need of refurbishment. However it was clean and the staff were friendly. Typical of this type of property for the area.
Great location
Great location, clean and friendly helpful staff.
Not bad
First of all a shout out to the staff. Craig was on the front desk who was cheerful and welcoming. Check in was a breeze. The night manager was also friendly whilst serving a couple of late night (very cheap!) drinks in the hotel bar. The public areas were clean and tidy, although the stairs and landing carpets are in need of a deep clean. The triple room itself (£65 for the one night stay) whilst refurbished was showing signs of wear and tear plus it was clear the refurb had not been prepped and was somewhat slap dash. The bathroom had not been refurbished, was dated (an avocado basin and toilet!) and the shower cubicle had signs of black mould, but was clean. That said, the beds were very comfortable and despite the room being on a main road and over looking a car park was surprisingly quiet, so got a good nights sleep. The comments are purely for others to decide if this hotel is right for them. Personally the negatives were not enough to complain to the staff about and wouldn't prevent another stay there. The charming staff more than made up for it!
Photos vs reality are very different
It was certainly an ‘experience’ but not somewhere I’ll be staying again. The rooms in the photo differ greatly from what we experienced. Very uncomfortable bed. Extremely loud hotel until 4am, then after only a few hours sleep, woke up to not even have a working shower. Eventually after 6 minutes of running the water, finally got hot water… but the shower adapter had 2 settings at that point: freezing cold, or scalding hot. Overall, very disappointed.
My favourite Blackpool hotel
For a Blackpool hotel, you’ll be pleasantly surprised. Clean, comfortable, fabulous customer service and great facilities. Perfect location for all that the place has to offer, and car parking directly outside the front door. I particularly enjoyed the cooked breakfast!!
Mould on the bedding, outdated room from the pictures, bleached bathroom mat. Peeling wallpaper and stained walls. Yellowing over the walls as if a smoker had lived there. Bathroom fan was very loud. Shower had very weak pressure but was warm. Could hear everyone passing the room due to loud door outside my room. It’s a good place to just lay your head for the night at a cheap price but do not expect anything more than the minimum here. Not necessary good. But not all that bad. I know they’re currently doing improvements. I may have just had an old room
really nice place
Very basic and photos dont reflect hotel
The hotel room in itself was clean which was my main concern. We had a "refurbished" room but the refurb is basic tk say the least. New beds and a lick of paint. The rest of the furniture was old and marked. The bathroom was very old. Towel rail and toilet roll holder both broken and black damp patches on the ceiling. The Corridors are very grubby and run down and when we arrived there was a terrible smell of cigarette smoke which i advised reception of. The person who checked us in on Tuesday and served us later in thw bar was fantastic! Very helpful and friendly. Staff the remainder of the stay were hard to track down. The photos definitely do not represent the hotel
Fair price but really needs an update. Rooms not great!
The staff were friendly and helpful, the breakfast was nice too
Overall a very pleasant clean tidy hotel. Entertainment too which is good for residents except those already in bed at half midnight (i was working all day the next day so had gone up about midnight). Would stay again, good room for the price, was only me so booked the single but the hotel upgraded to a small double but perfectly good room.
Cleanliness issues in room following late check in
We arrived and couldn’t check in on time as room not ready. Finally got key 1 1/2 hours after check in stated. Got to the room to find stained sheet and cupboards full of half eaten food and stuff left over from last guests (toothbrushes and other items). Toilet was constantly making a noise like it had just been flushed and general furniture in poor condition. A shame really as hotel lounge/ bar was good and staff were very friendly and helpful. Worth also stating that following us raising the issue with room, they rectified this - it was as if our room hadn’t been cleaned at all. Overall without the room issues the location was good and hotel downstairs area good. Was informed renovations are ongoing so could be better in the future but with so many options to choose from, you would have to question a return.
Great hotel
Great hotel and great location really enjoyed our stay and will book again when returning to Blackpool
Comfort it was
Excellent place.staff very helpful and always on hand 24/7...clean establishment..nice size room..also has evening entertainment.
Yucky, stay away.
Convenient location, but sooo run down. Asked for help with heater as it was cold, was told it was on a timer, it never came on. No hot water in shower. Bugs of sone kind, like small ladybug. Very old and shabby. Dont stay here!
Great place to stay if your visiting Blackpool. Especially great fir being so close to the Opera House Winter Gardens
Thank you and enjoyed our stay.
Staff and management were excellent, couldn't do enough for you. Also we experienced that they completely care, about their customers, checking on the young people who were staying there, and that they were safe, after being out drinking, all day. I really would like to say thank you. You are a brilliant team that work well together. I would definitely return here again. Breakfast definitely worth having. The staff will make you welcome and that makes a difference 😉
Lovely stay
Lovely stay here with my family, they couldn’t do enough for us. Lovely friendly team. The bar man last night was amazing went above and beyond for the kids and also made lovely cocktails. Thank you
Get a new cleaner and manager
The location is excellent and literally next to the Winter Gardens. Parking is available for £16 for 18 hours in the car park literally in front of the hotel. We arrived to check in at 3pm and by 4pm we had left. The lady and younger shaved head guy on reception were lovely, we were given our room, number 30 and went up. Upon entering the room it smelt horrific of poo. The toilet was splattered with faeces and because it was in like a cupboard with no windows it was impossible to get rid of the smell. We had asked for a return room (birthday treat) and the furniture was cheap chipped and shoddy. The view was of the back of the building, which needs a good clean and the windows need a wash, we asked to change rooms and was given room 37. The room smelt fresh, and things were much better until we looked closer. The window ledge was disgusting, so were the skirting boards. We then looked in the bathroom and was greeted with the ceiling literally covered in mould. The bathroom resembled something out of the 1980’s, green bathroom suite, scruffy, and the most dust I’ve ever seen on the pipes behind the sink and toilet. We asked hotels.com to move us, they contacted the owner ? , and he gave us 3 minutes to get checked out and out of the property. The older guy, assistant manager/ owner whatever he is, needs customer service training asap, he was unwilling to change our rooms again coz I’d find fault in any rooms apparently. Well I wouldn’t if they were clean and acceptable!!
We’ll be back
Staff - fabulous, helpful and friendly. Spotlessly clean hotel. Some rooms have been refurbished but ours was one of those not done yet so decor and fixings were dated but clean. The room was cold even with the radiator on but they must know it’s a problem because there was a fan heater which soon warmed the room up. Comfiest bed I’ve ever slept in and the pillows were ace too. Had a wonderful night’s sleep as the room was very quiet. Spotless bedding and towels. Loved it. We’re already planning our next stay.
Nice little place
Stayed here on the lead up to Christmas as we had a theatre trip at the Winter Gardens booked. The location was absolutely perfect - a 4 minute walk. I was very pleased with the rate, which was reasonable. We used the car park opposite, which cost £16 for 18 hours, which again, I thought was reasonable. The hotel was very welcoming and the staff we came across were all friendly. We (family of four - one adult three children) stayed in a family room (sleeps 5) which was small but functional. It was nicely presented and everything was clean and I was pleased to find coat hangers in the wardrobe as there is nothing more annoying than not being able to hang your clothes up! The communal areas were all nicely presented and clean. The breakfast was good and the service was friendly. All in all really happy with my stay here and would definitely book again.
Enjoyed our stay the hotel was warm and clean the staff were great and the breakfast was excellent
Good standards. Breakfast very hot and appetising.
Overnight Stay
Comfortable hotel, no frills but clean and tidy. Really friendly staff. Good location with everything in walking distance
Good value
Excellent for the price. Clean. Comfortable beds. Hot shower. Friendly staff. No noise in evening.for the price cant complain
Perfectly for me.
I was meet by a professional and friendly staff who gave me my room number and let me know if there was any thing I needed just ask and also if there was any ploblems .When I was in my room there was a easy to read book that had all the information about my stay. The staff to keep me comtable were really excellent at they job well done. I had a great time with enough privacy.
Location is good but…
The hotel is apparently in the process of being refurbished however, we were unlucky and were in a room that was small, cold, noisy and unloved, and the stairs and hallways were just the same. The only way to get hot water was to leave the shower running for 10 minutes and then it only came out at a dribble. Location-wise, it was great!
Within close walking distance to Blackpool town centre Property is overdue a complete refurbishment. Windows are single glass, some didn't fully close or lock, odd glass pain was cracked. Bathroom outdated.
Great place to stay, wonderful staff and good location. We will return
Whoop
Had such a lovely break
V nice stay clean room was nice Breakfast was very nice
Cold shower
Hotel tired and dated, room was adequate for a solo stay, bed comfy and a quiet night so slept well. Got up for a shower in the morning and no hot water 😩 cold shower was not what i was expecting. Breakfast was adequate but not worth the £8.
Overnight trip with show
This was our first time at the Comfort Inn Gresham but it won’t be our last everyone was very helpful and polite our room was light and airy although the toilet was a bit snug. Breakfast was good. Overall a really good experience and excellent venue for the Winter Gardens and Shopping
Lovely place
Lovely hotel. Clean and welcoming. Most of the staff were lovely.
Great service at breakfast. Staff helped with extra requests. Bed was a bit sma
Really not comfort..
The hotel is old old old and have a really bad smell when we check in and in the entire hotel as well. The wifi password is a super weird long one but didnt even work still The room is tiny and structure is weird. Your bed is next to the toilet sink which is not in the toilet…. And the sink make noise whenever someone use the sink in different room or different floor. So you basically hear everything. The toilet is also very tiny, cant even fit in a single person. The loo is half step away from the shower. So you cant step out the shower without your body touch the loo. Which is very not hygiene! But during our trip in blackpool we found that the whole town is full of old hotels so it might not be there problem only. Maybe the whole town is lack of tourist so its not updated. We also found it hard to look for a decent hotel when we book… Side note, the hotel is refurnishing and said will be done by June 2022 so the hotel said there might be chance to guve us an old room (while the pics online show new room) but we went there at late june 2022. They are still giving us the old room and tbh theres not even much people staying in the hotel! Coz when we had breakfast, we only see one other person staying.
Just avoid it..
Well it was awful. I didn’t even stay. Arrived and was given the key to a dirty room, then another key for a dirty room. Then a key for a vile room. I ended up walking out and stayed somewhere else and requesting a refund. Looks NOTHING like the pictures.
What a relaxing stay!
We are having a lovely stay in the dutchman, the rooms were spotless, the waters hot, (which iit isn't everywhere). The buffee breakfast was plenty overall would defanatly come again.
Revamped room, pleasent hotel with friendly staff.
Basic but good.
Comfy bed. On suite shower and toilet. Convenient location. Room only option. Good value for money.
Excellent Hotel
This was the best Hoell ive stayed at in Blackpool. The hotel was lovely and the room was really comfortable and clean. The staff are very friendly and i really enjoyed my stay. Would definitely recommend 👌
Family room
Couldn't fault it! The room was perfect the staff was all lovely they went above and beyond cannot wait to come back with my girls
Awful hotel
Room was very dated, not as per the photos. Thin windows gathered lots of condensation and felt like you were sleeping in the street for noise. No hot water in the sink, hairdryer didn't work so had to request another, radiator didn't work so was given a heater. Lots of noise from doors banging as people in other rooms going in and out from 5am. Room was left unlocked after room service had been in.
Hotel was lovely and clean we had a family room an was a good size for 3 of us. The hotel was in really good location central to everything an very good base. There’s a car park over road that was £10 for 24hrs. Lovely little family break
Great weekend wuth freinds
I booked a single room, it had facilities of own kettle coffee, tea, etc, tv, shower in the room, the 3 quarter size bed in the room was comfy, good walking distance to the front.
Lives up to the name! Comfort inn
Beds are so comfort full memory foam mattress rooms are clean but dated but I understand they were making there way through the hotel modernising the rooms, good location car park dead opposite for convenience, nice friendly staff
Friendly
Staff were very friendly and helpful, nothing too much trouble.
Had a lovely stay and staff were fantastic.
AWFUL
Just when you think Blackpool hotels have improved... along comes the "comfort inn"... such a rediculous name. Tiny room, false ceiling with office lighting and filthy marks. Wobbly head board. Bed on a slope Furniture covered in cling film?!?!? Just AWFUL... Really... shop around.
Good location with comfy beds!
Stayed here for a stag do with 10 lads. Booked family rooms. The beds were comfy and clean. Rooms are a bit dated, bathrooms need updating. The shower wasn’t more than a trickle! Down stairs was a pool table, few sofas. And a bar. Place was comfy enough and the bar reasonable! Didn’t eat breakfast so can’t comment but it was £7.99.
The hotel is ideally situated near the tower and shops the hotel could do with a fresh coat of paint but overall our stay was ok
Friendly staff
Perfectly adequate basic B&B fir a couple of nights.
Great b&b
Had a lovely overnight stay with our little boy very clean friendly would definitely recommend and stay again thank you
Great location and ideal for families. Lift access was available. Would recommend
Hidden Gem
Fantastic hotel, very friendly staff and very helpful, room was very clean and beds were really nice to sleep in, the only downside was the shower, it was really hot or really cold no matter how long you tried there was no right setting, but other than the shower I can't complain about the hotel, highly recommended and I would stay again
Poor standard - very disappointed
The standard of this hotel was terrible. The room had no curtain, just a net curtain so I had to purchase and hang my own curtain. The decor and carpet was terrible. The general standard of the hotel was grubby. The carpets on the stairs looked like they had not been hoovered for weeks. It was not a very comfortable or enjoyable stay.
No hot water, window wouldn't shut,
Lovely place to stay. Staff friendly & helpful. Parts of the hotel are still to be upgraded but overall clean, tidy & beds super comfy! Fantastic location & only a 5 minute walk to the promenade. Would definitely recommend.
Just OK
Just ok... sub standard breakfast, struggled to get parking and ended up paying £20 overnight.
N/A
Good for the price
The photos online are a bit misleading - this hotel is dated and a bit tired, but then the same can be said for a lot of accommodation in Blackpool. Would I take my partner? Probably not. On a daily basis the cleaners inventory was strewn across the landing outside of the lifts, there was a questionable red stain on the curtain, and the room was around a million degrees. However, it was cheap, the location is excellent for food and bars, the beds were comfortable and the staff were lovely, so for a group of friends wanting an inexpensive weekend away, it's absolutely fine. 4/5.
Needs investment to justify rates charged.
Hotel seems to be mid renovation as pictures of some rooms look good, however ours was in poor condition, dirty and cramped. The shower had 2 settings of scalding or stone cold. Breakfast was terrible - cheap sausage, greasy egg that somehow tasted of fish. For the fee charged (over £100 including breakfast for 1 night) this was a terrible stay.
We would love to stay here again as staff was so welcomong and kind you had your own freedom to go and come whenever you please. The room was beautiful the only thing that was a down fall was the bathroom tap wpuldnt go hot and the fan kept falling over but everything else was exceptional. Also after coming back in from a long day it was great to be able to have a drink at the bar and play a game of pool. Thank you for a wonderful stay. See you again soon. Mollie
nice break away
Lovely stay in this hotel over the weekend. Staff very attentive nothing was too much. For what we paid for we were very pleased with it it was clean and great location. It isn’t the most modern but for the great price you can’t complain as it was a comfortable stay.
Overall okay staff were accommodating would stay there again bit dated furniture that I was looking on the inside I was told But you were going to renovate before the lockdown so we will stay there again to see if it’s changed next year
Cheap and cheerful
The woman and man I dealt with at different occasions at check in. Where both lovely and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable could do with a bit of tlc in areas but you get what you pay for of you want 5* pay the 5* price. This hotel was good value for money.
When we checked in down stairs was ok.When we went through the corridors to our room it was awful.Dirty shabby. When we entered our room it was no better. The beds were clean but thst was abiut it.The net curtains were hanging off ripped and dirty grey..The milk was off just lumps the chsir legs were hsnging off.Bathroom was moldy and dirty.Do not stay here.Only good thing was location. Manager was rude and arrogant with all guests..
Comfortable stay
Great value for money. Staff very polite, welcoming and helpful. I had booked 3 rooms, 2 triples and a twin. My daughter was disturbed by noisy people in the room above her so I had to complain at reception, who dealt with the problem. A brilliant location behind the Tower. Although parts of the hotel are a little tired we would stay again. Comfortable, clean beds.
Myself, wife and 2 kids enjoyed our one night stay in the hotel. Had everything we needed. Location is ideal situated near the tower and directly behind the Winter Gardens. Having read negative reviews I was unsure what to expect but although it was basic we had everything we needed. The manager was excellent to deal with and could not have been more welcoming. The bar area was reasonably priced and was ideal for a quieter place to relax and have a drink with the family.
Where do i begin....
Well where do i begin. Turning up was okay but then i saw the room. Hairs on pillows. Hair in bathrooms. Dirty walls. Just plain disgusting. Then i have three peeping toms at my window who have decided to smoke on the roof and begin to look into mine big no no for me. Here is the best bit. I am awoken at 2am by POLICE due to a room search as there is a gentlemen staying here they are looking for. I am now tired. My anxiety has been affected. My girlfriend is unhappy. I have wasted money. Will not be booking again.
Hotel was very cold but swrved its purpose for 1 night.
