The property was adequate, although a bit run down i.e. cracked switch plates and dirty baseboards. The room was cold and couldn't stay warmed up. There were only this coverlets on both beds and no real blankets or comforters. My parents were unable to stay the second night due to the frigid conditions. We made the decision to crowd into another space for a warm, good night's sleep.

It’s a nice enough place for a motel, but the owner acts as if he’s doing you a favor by checking you in. Not at all friendly. Both times I’ve stayed here, there is a lot of outside noise late into the night. Will not return.

good location. Entire structure needed repairs and , insects in rooms. pool was under repair. ice machine was disguesting, venting machine not working. Bad repair job on walls. Holes in dry walls.

The front desk guy was very rude at check in and they had no restroom in the lobby. The room had a smell of must so I couldn’t stay. I left the property and got an AirBnB. So I lost the money on the stay but I really had no other option.

3 reasons I give this stay an overall 2 stars. Towels were paper thin. Although they updated the rooms and nicely done, the bathroom left a lot of room for improvement. Perhaps a door stop so the knob doesn’t make holes in the plaster and fix not cover up the water damaged walls snd base trim, even the nails have rusted. And thirdly, they really need to upgrade the wi-fi. I had a hard time connecting due to weak signal and then it continuously kept knocking me off and I had to retry. I would only stay here in a pinch and not if you required internet access- just too weak and unstable.

Nice room. A lot of updates have been done. The only thing was the sound the plumbing made, especially when flushing toilet. Sounds like a ghost of a baby or lady crying out. But overall stay was good. We would stay again.

This is an older building, but it has everything you may need. Hair dryer, iron n board, tv, microwave, very comfortable beds, and easy access and parking. Not sure about winter stays, my door would probably have a cold draft. For my needs and I’m not a fancy person just down to earth in need of a place to stay this was great.

Rooms are being renovated looks nice. Breakfast could be better and the property around pool could use a revamp lots of broken lamps.

Deep clean needed bad..

Our stay was rough.. I should’ve taken more pictures.. they need to do some serious cleaning in that place & could have nice rooms like the display pictures they use for advertising.. I was pretty disappointed to walk in & immediately feel like there was mold growing somewhere. Found some rough mildew in the AC unit.. and the filter was so dirty it wasn’t getting any air.. there was very noticeable dirty light switches.. The sink was disgusting, the bathroom door & ceiling had splashes of dark colored stuff.. the shower/ tub drain seemed to be clogged & wasn’t draining well at all.. hardwood floors so you could see they didn’t even bother to sweep or mop before we arrived.. the bed was pretty comfy but only 2 small standard pillows for both queen beds..

Room was clean, love the wood floor and the fridge and microwave in the room as well. I did recommend getting better blankets. It is a very thin sheet as a comforter and I had to go to the store to buy a blanket. That needs improving for sure.

Room looked and smelled clean/new. Dirty shirt on floor behind chair, tho. Hotel secluded up a quiet hillside.No near dining. 3 small bugs seen by sink area. No coffee cups-was asked to just come to kitchen. At check out( vibe was-why are u here-u did Expedia), not asked how everything was, never said thank you, etc. I left there feeling like I was bothering them. I would stay again if desperate and exhausted, but otherwise, I want to be treated like a customer that’s appreciated.

Beautiful property and spacious rooms. It was very clean. Bed and pillows were great. Only complaint was there wasn't black out curtains in the room. There was even eggs and sausage for breakfast.

Clean property. My only concern was the toilet needed to be secured. They are remodeling rooms, so I think it just was overlooked.

Room was clean and comfortable, but for a former econolodge, I thought the price was a bit steep.

Tryon International

Just a quick last minute weekend getaway to Tryon. The hotel was very convenient, and the bed was amazingly comfortable.

We did not stay. It was a Motel, not a Hotel as advertised. We did not even go in. The outside was somewhat run down looking. We drove to Greenville SC and stayed there.

It was convenient to the places we were there for.

There was a significant of mold in the A/C so we couldn't turn it on. Therefor the air in the room became humid and sticky.

Gets the job done

It’s a really old ‘remodeled’ Days Inn. It took a lot of effort to get the door to my room to actually close and latch and the chain was broken off the inside. Room itself was dirty and toilet was very wiggly. Bed was average and I brought my own pillow thankfully. Water pressure in the shower was good so that was nice.

opened the door and was hit with enough bleach to burn my eyes. Kept door open for 2 hours. Went to call desk but phone did not work. next night party outside my door till 1, then dog howling at 5;45 am. had to check out and find another place to stay..

The room was not very clean. It looks like they are in the middle of transitioning from another hotel chain, complete with a full dumpster in the parking lot. The toilet was not bolted to the floor and the shower would not fully shut off. I hate giving bad reviews but I would not stay here again.

Stay in Your Car

Room odors. Mattress was like a box. Plumbing made loud noises. I wish I had just slept in my car instead of wasting money on this dump.

This place was sufficient for our needs. There were no high end hotels in the area and this one was clean and quiet.

Older but very clean.

Stayed two nights while looking for a home to purchase. Was conveniently located to come and go while looking. Realtor met me there a few times. Rooms was quiet and clean.

Columbus at the inn and suits!

The hotel needs remodeling. It took us 60 mn to “”program “ the TV remote in order to watch the news. The wind was howling theough the door and walls The lady at the desk helped well but she could not do much

They did a real nice job renovating this hotel. Looks like it use to be a Days Inn and they changed the name to Columbus Inn. Upon arriving I was greeted with a friendly receptionist. The room was nice and clean. Breakfast was everything they said it would be.

This is a Days inn. We got bait and switched and spent 20 dollars more for a bed. Drawers missing, shelf in shower was torn out. Outdoor walkways, warm damp and dark rooms. Barely cable, just an old school remote with no guide or idea what channel is what. Smelled heavily of bleach, much like locker rooms. Otherwise if you just need a place to crash it has a bed, just wasnt worth what i paid for it.

Overall a 7 out of 10. The room was clean but there was food in the refrigerator from the last guest. The outside of the hotel has parts from toilets and plumbing as well as the new water heater. Not great curb appeal.
