The property is dated but it was comfortable and had everything we needed.

Great location, large comfortable room. Well stocked kitchenette. Only downside was wifi kept going in and out. And there was no a/c or fan.

The location was great. Check in was good and easy , free parking. Beds were really comfortable. The apartment was a little bit outdated but had everything we needed.

Clean, spacious, well equipped, and in a great location close to the CBD. Management was helpful, while being very unobtrusive. Would happily stay here again.

I have double charged from a hotel. I told a reception when I came to check in on 30 November 2024 that I had paid. However she told me. I did not pay yet and she ask me to pay again.After I recheck my room was paid on 8 July 2024.I think the staff at check in counter lack of training and make a big mistake.

We had room 810. It was spacious with bedroom upstairs. Kitchen had everything we needed. It was walking distance to main part of town for shops and dining

Very good size room and location for the city. Plenty of eating options nearby. Free parking. WiFi worked but not very strong. Room cleaning didn’t happen when we were there for 3 nights.

Close to CBD, walkable, easy to find location. About the room. I booked a twin room, small space but adequate. The shower door did not close completely therefore water pooling on the floor when showering if not careful. Great kitchen fully stocked with everything you need on a short stay.

Easy to find easy parking, close to resturants

Convenient to central Christchurch and also very quiet. Reception when we checked in was bit frosty as they seemed think we did not have a booking. Otherwise a good place to stay.

The owner was very helpful and gave us a map with many destinations and great advice. We found the location excellent to walk to dining, shopping and sites. I would stay there again!

Quiet

The room was generally good but it did have a really odd smell - like farm animals? - and the upstairs bedroom was a bit annoying if you needed to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night. On the upside the rooms were quiet and dark and parking was convenient.

Perfect stay in Christchurch.

Our flight was delayed, but the team did such an incredible job accommodating, to the extent of ensuring the electric blankets were on, and the place was ready for us to feel comfortable as quickly as possible. Thankfully we found this spot, so close to many things downtown as well as in such good condition.

Great modern motel that is quite walkable to the town center. The parking area is a bit tight, but that is really the only issue. I would definitely stay there again and would be happy to recommend it to friends.

We had a nice stay at Colombo in the City Heating was very good . We were kept nice and warm in the room even though it was very cold and didnt even need the heater at night. Convenient location and friendly staff. Going back to stay another two nights after our South Island tour.

Well maintained property, about 10-15min walk into the city. Easy parking on site. We were upstairs and there were a lot of stairs to the bedroom which could be difficult for some.

Henrietta is an excellent host, it was very cold when I was in CHC, Henrietta had put the heater and the electric blanket on in my room, a very nice warm and thoughtful welcome after a cold day out. Very clean and well presented property in quiet but central location.

We loved the apartment. It was warm & clean it was and it was so quiet which we really liked. The office lady & cleaning ladies were lovely & friendly. We loved how they were so accommodating to us. The only thing we found was that the dryer down in the laundry didn't dry our clothes so we had to find a laundromat to dry them. Other than that we will definitely book here again.

This motel is close to the central city but in a quiet location. It’s easy walking with a number of dining options close by. It was clean, comfortable and well set up.

Enjoyable Stay

Good location of motel which is about 10 minute walk into the city centre. Rooms are a good size and in good condition. The only real downside was that the wifi signal could be a bit weak at times. Overall i would stay here again.

The property was very clean and updated. The only draw back, was that the WI-FI was so weak and slow that it was unuasable.

1br appt but only had a microwave for cooking. Bedroom upstairs and bathroom downstairs. Otherwise, it was quite comfortable and an easy walk to the city.

We checked in in a breeze. The owner or staff (a mature man) checked us in. We were able to park our car easily within the place. The room was clean and laundry room (which you have to pay $2 for washer and $2 for dryer) was functioning well. Bed was comfortable too. The restaurants and shopping area was near, about 15 mins walk. Highly recommended. Thanks to the lady and the man for attending to our requests and guiding us to our room.

Everything was clean and well cared-for, very friendly reception at check-in, we walked to Cathedral square and downtown.

Convenient Motel

The room was nice and roomy. The cleaning staff were lovely and the owners friendly. Location was very handy to everything. We could walk to town and the casino, nearby restaurants and the bus was just round the corner. We did have a few problems. The vanity in the bathroom was leaking making the bathroom floor slippery and dangerous. A plumber was booked for the next day, so using that bathroom with towels on the floor was a bit tricky. We also had to be up and dressed for the plumber the next day. We did ask to be moved, but we’re told they were fully booked. The safe did not work. An electrician was called in for the next day, when we again had to be up and dressed for them to arrive. The window next to the sliding door onto our courtyard was broken. To get out the door we had to open the window so door would slide, then the window would not close. The owners knew about this. We did feel a bit inconvenienced by these problems, and were offered apologies but nothing else. We would stay again if problems were fixed.

Everything was good. Just what we were looking for. Would have no hesitation in booking again.

Good option in Christchurch

A good option in Christchurch. We were walkable to downtown and even had a little patio to have an afternoon drink. The room had a kitchenette and was cleaned daily.

Very nice motel close to city. Only $6.50 UBer ride to town. Very quiet couldn’t even hear cars leaving in morning. Comfortable bed only improve is heating system not that hot. Would stay again good value for money as very spacious.

Was disappointed that the room configuration was not what I booked on Wotif, and that they actually didn't have any rooms that matched the online booking (I specifically booked this motel for its twin room with 2 double beds - instead got a queen and single). Bathroom layout is awkward to use, no room to hang towels/clothes or set out toiletries. On site parking is good but very difficult to get in and out of when full
