Polite, clean and quiet place to stay

Not the first time I stayed at Cocomat. And not the last time I hope. Is a pleasant hotel with nice Cocomat furniture and their very comfortable beds and bed sheets. Nothing flashy but really calm atmosphere in a nicely designed hotel.

I love their bedlinnen & like the quiet location & the decor & the garden of this hotel. My favourite since a long time! Sorry, I forget their staff… friendly, always ready to help. And also the food is nice when you arrive late and just want to eat and hang out in your bedroom.

CocoMat was a lovely surprise boutique experience! Staff were kind, courteous and helpful. It was like walking into a spa oasis in the lobby as well as the room. Impeccably clean, everything felt fresh and well maintained. This hotel was recommended as somewhere to stay the night before an afternoon flight the next day, the distance to the highway concerned me, driving through the side streets of Athens can feel confusing but honestly after I did a preview of GPS instructions the trip to the airport was effortless! It was a calming experience to be in a neighborhood location. 5 minute drive to shops and restaurants or 15 minute stroll through lovely neighborhoods, I strolled!! Beds and pillows were very comfortable, linens were top notch, black out drapes were very appreciated and the balcony in our corner room was a wonderful surprise, can’t get a balcony in the big hotels ! I will definitely stay here again if I’m in Athens!

Very clean, nice, well designed.

It was a beautiful room and amazing staff!! The only thing we didn’t like was the open concept shower. When using the handheld shower, it was difficult to prevent the water from splashing around the room.

Breakfast excellent, friendly service and staff, and close to train station. Did not like hand washer sink in bedroom area and TV limited to Greek channels

A perfect experience

My 5th FABtastic experience at coco-mat hotel kifissia and it is as perfect as the 1st stay. Subtle, kind, just upscale enough but but never snobby service and the firm bed leaves my back and me energized for the next day. A most lovely eating and Libby area is also perfect for a book reading midday. For a responsible traveler, I look for and appreciate the few hotels on the planet which incorporate eco ideals. “Don’t waste food” is a positive message which the hotel delivers. I wish such messages would be as popular and delivered by those awful rap performers. Can you imagine a world where mindful intention was the pop culture?

Generally a very good property. Some very small maintenance and wear issues in the room. Overall good and very comfortable.

Hotel was very comfortable and relaxing. Staff were very helpful and polite. Breakfast was delicious! The neighbourhood which the hotel is located in, is very quiet and any restaurants were within a 15-25 min walk. There's a small supermarket and market with a short distance.

The decor was fresh, modern and boutique-y. We were greeted very kindly in an informal setting very different from most hotels. Great breakfast buffet. I didn't realize until we got there that the hotel serves as a sort of living catalog for the furniture, housewares and personal care products the company sells. This includes their super comfy beds.

Was a little bit hard to find in a residential area but it was excellent The breakfast was excellent

Although it was our first visit the staff greeted us like old customers. We were checked in informally and no credit card was requested. We were shown where we would have complementary breakfast and told we could come for dinner till ten if we wished. Then the young man said he had a gift for us and handed us two sets of CocoMat products. He told us that our beds would also be from the renowned CocoMat company. We slept well in our clean and comfortable room, had and amazing breakfast and checked out with ease the next day. The cost for such comfort was very reasonable and the proximity to the highway and the airport was perfect. We will return when in Athens!

Quiet neighborhood Very friendly and helpful staff BUT The showers were rediculous, like trying to shower in a 2 foot square closet, can’t help but flood the bathroom as there is no curtain Plus very far from restaurants, long walk on a busy street to find a tavern

I was positively surprised by this hotel. Hidden in a residential area it has a great ambiance which makes for a relaxing stay.

A walk into town

In a leafy quiet area of kifisia/Attica. Really pleasant facility. Welcome drink, gift on arrival and very friendly team. Lobby was really nice and comfy and food from the restaurant was superb.

Top hotel

Lovely staff, very warm welcome at 4.30am, and no fuss when we arrived for breakfast at 11.50. Amazing breakfast, lots of it homemade, and all top quality. Highly recommended.

We expected to be more clean.

The hotel is perfect - delicious organic breakfasts, wonderful service, beautifully designed and environmentally friendly, super comfortable beds and very relaxing! I loved the fact that there were no plastics used in the hotel and no carpets in the rooms. It's the best hotel I have stayed in!

The outside patio was beautiful and the hotel room we said containing a loft and side room was beautiful and comfortable! I wish we had stayed here longer.

Excellent, quirky, comfortable, friendly and stylish place, offering great service a nd good food. Off the beaten track so quiet and restful. You will need to think about transport but plenty of taxis are at hand.

Breakfast is amazing. Room are well appointed and beds are like heaven. Staff is super friendly. One thing: airco was so noisy on the 4th floor that we could not sleep. The day after we were moved to another room.

Excellent overall. Very fast and smooth checkin and checkout. Ultra-comfortable bed. Minor issue with the AC which was quickly fixed by reception.

They got our booking wrong so the rooms we booked were not available. The hotel rectified the situation but it caused tension on our break that could have been avoided.

Wonderful Quiet Stay

Feels like home, just better. Hotel was very well furnished and the design was very well thought out. It was set in a very green lush neighborhood walking distance from public transport.

In a swanky, quiet part of Athens; Not Center

We had a wonderful balcony suite on the 4th floor. The room was lovely, with a nice view, even from the shower! However, the hotel is very hard to find! Our taxi driver drove around and around, swearing in Albanian, trying to find it, so be aware of that! This hotel is not near the plaka or other cultural sites--it is in a quiet, swanky area--, so be aware of that too. We thought we were booking Coco Mat downtown, and were surprised to see where it was (apparently they have a sister hotel that you get bumped to if they are full). There is nothing within walking distance. The breakfast is not included in the price.

Staff were welcoming and helpful. We really enjoyed our overnight visit - I'd definitely stay there again.

Good hotel in a very quiet location

A great hotel serving a very nice buffet breakfast. About 35 minutes from the centre of Athens via the Metro (station is just a 10 minute walk away).

Simply Superb!

If you are looking for a place to stay anywhere near this location and the price is right, then stop searching, this is the hotel….period! Fantastic service, lovely comfortable room, great restaurant and breakfast, good WIFI….. simply a quality top drawer mid-range priced boutique hotel. Pre stay correspondence was excellent and concise, airport transfer with their preferred partner (details can be found on their official web page) was perfect….book with confidence and enjoy a hassle free stay.

Lovely place but a nightmare to find

Overall it's a very nice place to stay with pleasant staff but it's in the middle of a residential area where everything looks the same and it's on the other side of the railway so you need to know the bridge crossing if you have a car or even on foot. It's not to easy to find and even once you're across it's difficult with the one way streets. Obviously GPS is essential

Comfortable, clean and friendly stay in leafy ATH

Coco-Mat hotel is a bit of a showroom for fantastically comfortable mattresses, but every effort is made to be clean, natural and light. A very comfortable stay, with lots of unexpected extras - so many things were on the house, from the welcome drinks to the goodbye ones. Excellent dinner recommendation and map. Would definitely recommend!

lovely hotel close to kiffisia

lovely little place, really cool decoration, very comfortable, pleasant staff. my only problem was that room was not very big and also the toilet had some problems with ventilation, otherwise was fine

Beautiful hotel, fantastic hideaway, great service

Great stay overall, there was just a small service glitch on check-in which the hotel more than compensated for later on by offering us an upgraded loft suite. We didn't use it as we were out in Athens most of the day but we did appreciate the effort. The hotel is exceptionally well designed and lovely with its residential setting, garden like vibe with lemon trees lining the interior walk ways. The grounds are beautiful and extremely relaxing. The breakfast was fantastic. Would definitely stay here again. The rooms have a glassed encased shower, would just pay a little more attention to the drain but overall not a problem. Took metro into Athens, easy walk over to metro and very straightforward getting into Athens and going to Kifisia downtown where there's nice upscale shopping and dining.

Feel-good hotel for the connaisseurs. Highly rcommended. Enough said, two more words and i am done, this 50-word limit is a pain in the ...seriously now, great place to stay. Very cool and quality of sleep guaranteed. Didn't try brekkie but thete is a Veneti bakery 4' drive (10' walk) which is all you need.

nice hotel in a safe, quite area

Very modern room, spacious, next to bus or tube station, cozy lounge area where you can have nespresso coffee or any kind of drinks, strength wifi, safe car park area.

Best sleep ever

The comfiest bed I have ever slept on! very cool, chilled hotel, amazing food and lovely vibe. Friendly staff, 5 mins walk to the Kat train station, and 10 mins to Kifisia town. Very quiet residential area, which I preferred to the madness of the city centre.

Highly recommend Coco-Mat!

The hotel was immaculate, the staff was GREAT, food was very good and the room was very comfortable. It's less then a 5 min walk to the Metro which provides a direct link to the City center.

Good for soft landing at the start of trip!

Worked as a great location for right after flying in to Greece. While I gave the location a 4 instead of 5, for us it was great because more in a neighborhood than in the middle of things, so quieter. Also, being on the outskirts of town much easier to try and get to by rental car (so maybe a "5" for location depending on your needs). Great staff at the hotel at check in and also at the breakfast in the morning. Made us feel welcome. Was above expectations

Nicest hotel of my trip

Super Relaxing!

Wow! This hotel is a true relaxing getaway! The beds are out of this world comfortable and the decor is simple chic. Everything is clean and the coco-mat products are amazing! The hotel staff was friendly and even made me breakfast to go at 4am. The hotel is about 45min by metro from downtown Athens but in a very nice neighborhood that is good for exploring as well. Highly recommended for a quiet relaxing stay!

If I could give this place more stars I would. Best service ever - Hotel airport transfers are the best and I highly recommend those - thank you Jon! The Team are amazing rooms are just excellent everything I needed very modern and fresh, clean! Location is perfect, the taxi costs ~5 euro to the closest shopping, eating, nightlife but I also recommend the Hotel dining its just, omg that chicken.. was amazing the service, prices its all very very reasonable - downtown Athens is only ~15euro via Taxi and all its public transport is right by the hotel, I really can't speak more highly of them thanks for helping confirm my tours as well I had the best stay ever.

Contemporary Hotel

Nice location. Surrounding area and grounds of hotel well maintained. Rooms cleaned daily. Comfortable bed, pillows were a bit hard. Shower cubicle and wash hand basin were in same room as the bed, a bit strange! Hotel staff not very friendly!

Great place to unwind

This was a real surprise, with a really modern but relaxing decor and atmosphere. The dinner and breKfast was great with local organic produce. We stayed here for one night to relax after a hectic few days traveling from Australia and it didn't disappoint. A title out of town for those wishing to make it a base for seeing Athens but worth a visit.. Would love to pick the whole hotel up and take it back to Australia as these places are a rare find

Really, really comfortable and relaxing

The hotel features mattresses and related items manufactured by CocoMat. Extraordinary comfort! The hotel is pleasant and calming. The staff is very helpful. Since the hotel is in a residential neighborhood, there is not much to do, but the metro station is a 10 minute walk away.

A great night's sleep

This hotel features the amazing Coco-Mat bedding. The beds are the most most comfortable you will find anywhere! The hotel is very stylish. I've stayed at many hotels in Athens. This one is a bit out of the way, but but the overall quality, and the value for money is way above many of the hotels closer to the center of Athens.

Modern stylish hotel

We had a four day stay at this wonderful hotel. The staff were helpful and friendly. The restaurant was impressive and the rooms comfortable with luxurious beds. We did have a problem with the air conditioning which had been turned off and the room tended to get too hot. The electric door lock malfunctioned a few times as well. I think we were just unlucky. We would definitely go back.

Wonderful hotel, amazing comfort and breakfast was phenomenal. Not convenient for 1 night in Athens as it's a bit far from the airport, but worth the drive as this hotel was amazing!

Amazing organic hotel

So incredibly amazing what a hotel. All the food is organic service outstanding. The best bed I have ever slept in. Do yourself a favor if you want to stay in a nice neighborhood outside of Athens.

Nice hotel w/really comfy beds in res. area

This is a brand new hotel featuring the Coco Mat brand everything,the brand that seems to be taking over Greece. This little boutique sits in a nice, quiet, residential area 20 minutes from the airport, has a modern vibe with make your own cappuccino (maybe not so great of an idea for those lacking sleep & in serious need of caffeine) honor bar and small, comfy rooms and even smaller, but very efficient use of space, bathrooms. If you know your way around Athens (crazy if your driving, but if you're use to it, not a huge problem) and are staying in the area for business or visiting nearby friends, this is a good choice. A first time visitor however, would be wise to book something more central. No view, other than trees plus some streets are blocked off, during construction, while the hotel is being finished. Overall I liked this hotel & the staff was very helpful, but it's not for everyone.

Return visit to Kifisia

First visited Kifisia in 1973. It was good to return, but I would not have recognised it! The hotel was very convenient for metro and train.

Great Oasis

My husband and I stayed for 8 nights at Hotel Nafsika because of great reviews. The hotel had a nice calming energy. No matter what we were doing each day, as soos as we walked through the front door, we felt so much happier and relieved. As others have said, it's an easy walk from the Metro station and is in a quiet residential neighborhood. A lot of natural wood and materials are used throughout the hotel. We also loved the breakfast! They served fresh-squeezed OJ, (cooked to order) eggs/omelet with veggies or meat, several types of artisanal bread, hot baked item, fruit salad, cheeses, cold cuts, yogurt, and 3 types of goodies. They also had self-serve espresso machines and teas. They had honey, praline, and house-made strawberry jam on the table. They were all-you-can-eat. The staff was very helpful and personable. It helped that there were only 22 rooms. The only complaints we had were the tight space and very heavy sliding closet door. Hotel Nafsika is definitely a highlight of our trip to Greece.

A very quite place. Home away from Home.

Staff was very co-operative, since I am pure vegetarian they were very helpful in deciding my food. They helped me in customizing my meal with smiling face and great enthusiasm.

Relaxing suburban comfort in North Athens

Kiffissia is a quiet leafy suburb north of Athens and a peaceful escape from the heat and bustle for city dwellers in the Summer months. This hotel was designed with restfulness and ease in mind. From the first greeting at reception to the delightfully simple but well-prepared meals with local ingredients and the quiet comfortable rooms with their superb beds- this was a dream stay. There is more to Kiffissia and Coco_Mat then a jumping off point for visiting Athens. It is a pleasant district in its own right with pleasant walks and bright centre and lively nightspots.

Quiet and Personal

The COCO-MAT Hotel Nafsika is a perfect hotel for escaping the city. The service and food were exceptional and the hotel is small enough that the staff is attentive to your every need.

The small but comfortable hotel I ever stayed

This hotel is smaller, but it really comfortable to stay. Especial for its bed and those accessory, there are all in top quality. The service in this hotel is very hospitable, and they let me feel like to stay in my home! When I visit Athens in next time, and this hotel will be my first choice!

Off the beaten track...

Very nice little hotel. The staff could not have been more friendly and accomedating. The food was superb! The shower was a little odd for me, but I'm a traditionalist and the shower was not. The WIFI service was not working 4 of the 5 nights I was there, although this was out of the hotel's control. Also, there was construction going on next door (loud during the day) and I feel this should have been disclosed. All in all, I would stay again without thinking twice!

Home away from home

Very difficult to find in a residential neighbourhood, but once you have arrived it is great - both the hotel and the nice quiet neighbourhood. A small hotel. The restaurant has a small menu too, but food is great.

A great base for work or pleasure in Athens

This was a return visit after a year, I was not disappointed as the same friendly informal atmosphere in comfortable surroundings was maintained. The food in the evening has moved on by leaps and bounds from functional to truly delicious and it is worth visiting for this alone.

Great boutique hotel.

A superb boutique hotel with friendly, attentive staff. The restaurant meals were suberb, as was the breakfast and home-made jams. Highly recommended.

Worth the Stay.

This was my second time stay with the hotel and I found it pleasing and definitely would be recommending if you looking at a comfort. I would say it is simple but yet sophisticated and staff are always there to help you around. May lack some extra amenities but if you looking at a peaceful rest upon your days schedule, you will find a peaceful sleep in your room.

Nafsika- hidden boutique

Booked this hotel blind- was the only available near Kifisia. As we arrived I thought I had made a mistake, but as we went in my view changed. Personal welcome, extremely helpful, excellent room (my girlfriend is a bit of a interior designer and she loved it), free wifi etc 5 mins walk to nearest metro, 15 mins to key shops (Gucci, Louis Vitton etc) and to town. Have recommended it to my company to use for out of town travellers. Breakfast was cooked to order - all fresh. Excellent value
