The staff was absolutely incredible. It's a shame that the rooftop & pool are closed. Breakfast bread could use an improvement Location is fantastic.

I was very impressed with my stay. The staff were superb, providing outstanding service with a personal touch that made my experience all the more enjoyable. The location is fantastic, offering easy access to historical, commercial, and culinary hotspots. The rooms were cleverly designed, skillfully concealing their relatively small size, especially for two people sharing. The beds were very comfortable, and the shower very spacious. The breakfast was excellent. I will definitely be staying here again.

Location, location, location, great hotel, room was nice, food was great! Breakfast was delicious.

Room was clean and modern, easy access to shops, food, and sites like the Parthenon and Museum. Staff was attentive and courteous.

The loss of the roof terrace dramatically reduces the intrinsic value of this property. The mattress in 810 was uncomfortably lumpy, and the duvet too hot. I think the Coco-Mat hotel formula is now overpriced, at least at this location. The room decor reminds me of an upscale college dormitory. And the complimentary juice from concentrate Coke do nothing to help the image.

Beautiful hotel with excellent staff. The layout of our room with plenty of storage made our visit easy. Great walkable neighborhood near the Acropolis, dozens of restaurants and unlimited shopping. The included breakfast is outstanding. The Coco Matt BC is a fully renovated, modern hotel with a relaxing vibe.

Nice clean hotel with friendly staff. Perfect hotel to explore the sights of Athens. The room was on the small side, but we did have a balcony with a few of the Acropolis.

Yes! Highly Recommend

Highly recommend for the hotel’s service and breakfast. Suggest a room upgrade for one of the comfortable beds and better lighting. Our first room had deeply sagging beds and it was dark and depressing due to the deeply sunken pot lights that created shadows but didn’t provide any ambient lighting. Thank you Coco Mat for your quick action and kindness in moving us to a more comfortable room. Also… Coco Mat is a common name in Athens. Make sure you double check the address in your GPS.

Coco Mat was an excellent choice for our stay. It is a short walk to eateries, cafes and gelato. The museum and acropolis entrance is an easy 10 minute walk. The staff were super helpful and the buffet had lots of choices for breakfast. Some people complained about the absence of the pool and rooftop but it was clearly indicated to us upon booking that this was unavailable. I would also recommend their transfer service that they provide.

A very quiet and calm hotel, conveniently situated in a safe location for central tourist attractions, dining and shopping. Easy transport by metro to and from the airport.

This hotel is in a great location for those looking to stay close to the Acropolis. Staff are great and there are plenty of food options in the area. I would not hesitate to stay there if I return to Athens. The area around the hotel is safe as well.

We enjoyed every aspect of our stay with an outstanding staff, extremely quiet rooms, wonderful breakfast. We only are removing a star because of the issue with the hotel and government removing the ability to access the top two floors for rooftop views and pool. Not their fault but sadly it is part of the experience and detracted from the stay. We were able to go to a hotel rooftop nearby to get some pictures of the Acropolis area. We would definitely recommend the hotel for everything - if they workout the issues with the government then definitely would stay every time in Athens. Great staff, perfect location and extremely quiet. Kudos to all for a great vacation.

Great location for doing all the tourits attractions in athens

Location near historical sites. Amazing staff and facility. Only issue was that we booked thinking that rooftop pool and restaurant was available and then we were told that the top floor and roof would not be accessible due to city restrictions.

Hotel is modern, clean, friendly staff and close to all popular attractions, shopping and restaurants. Two things that were not good were: it was quite noise late into the night with other guests being loud in the main lounge, which all the rooms face, and staff didn't seem to make any attempt to request them to quiet down in favour of all other guests. The other thing was that I was told I'd have to pay quite a high fee for breakfast when in fact I later found out that my paperwork showed breakfast included. But that was only after I'd left. Despite all this I am happy to recommend them and would be happy to stay there again if I ever came back to Athens.

This hotel was perfectly situated to be near the Acropolis, museums, and the shopping areas of the Plaka (5 minute walk) and the Flea Market (15minute walk). Nice breakfast buffet included. The staff couldn’t have been nicer. Lots of sidewalk cafes literally steps away, and highly recommend Daphne’s for a fine dining experience.

Great hotel in a convenient location to the Acropolis. The staff were friendly and helpful. We had a slight issue with wifi in our room but they quickly changed our room. The breakfast was good with a lot of options. Rooms aren’t large but big enough for two people to comfortably exist and a lovely balcony area. Everything was clean and we enjoyed our stay

The breakfast included at this place is GREAT! So much variety, and such amazing foods. Rooms aren't huge, but our stay was amazing! The staff made everything wonderful. Easy check in, held our suitcases pre-checkin. Had a cab ready for us on our departure. Would definitely return here!

This is one of the best hotels I have stayed. The food here was great and as expedia guest we got water, pepsi in a reusable bag and then they brought wine to our room. This is very close to Parthenon and Acropolis museum

The staff was very friendly from the moment we arrived until we left. The location of the hotel was very nice and was within walking distance of everything we wanted to visit including restaurants, shopping, Acropolis museum, Acropolis, Parliament etc. The hotel is comfortable and has a really nice breakfast. The staff takes great care of their guests.

Loved the hotel, location and room. Would have been even better if the rooftop bar/pool were open. Highly recommend. Great view too.

The staff were incredibly helpful. NOTE there is no rooftop pool or restaurant. I booked this hotel based on pictures only to find out that it was indefinitely closed in March 2024. However they recommended we go to the indoor pool at their sister hotel less than a 10min car ride away. The staff also provided us with breakfast to go since our flight left before the breakfast station opened.

Can’t get a better view of the Parthenon than room 605! It was perfect! I would have enjoyed patio chairs on balcony to better enjoy our time with that amazing view! Staff was beyond excellent and very accommodating. Restaurant food was delicious. Highly recommend this hotel

Staff were amazing, rooms were comfortable and new, great location if you want to visit Athens for sight seeing and everything you need at your door from shops, restaurants, kiosks and in half an hours walk you can tour a lot of the popular side of Athens.

Exceptional location and convenience, Really spotless with an amazing charm

This is the perfect hotel at the perfect location. Everything I wanted to do was close by including the hop on hop off bus, the Acropolis and the Acropolis museum. Lots of good restaurants (food at the hotel was really good) and there is a spa.

The shower was cold and had to wait for 5-7 minutes. I couldn't turn off the lights and hotels staff had to come and turn off the fuse for that. haven't seen anything like that in the hotels.

This property was so close to everything. The views were great. The staff was terrific and so accommodating. We had to catch an early shuttle to the airport and they had a bag breakfast ready for us. They always went above and beyond.

Taxi strike unannounced, no effort by staff to arrange alternate service. Just take public transit. we had flight to catch. Left up to guest to find own service.

Pros: The location was great as it was very close to the acropolis, literally takes only about 5 - 8 min to walk to the acropolis museum. The lobby looks great as it well kept and clean. The staff are friendly enough and the breakfast spread is just amazing. Cons: When we first checked in we were given a room that was in a building next to the main building. It is kind of awkard as you would have to walk pass the bar and “back kitchen” area where they leave dirty plates and etc, to get the elevator. The room was very noisy. I usually don’t complain too much about noise but this room when I first entered I could CLEARLY hear the cars/bus/motorcycle/mopeds drive by. I thought may be the windows were open so I checked behind the curtains and surprisingly the windows were shut. I opened the windows as I was curious to know if it was really loud oustide but no, windows were the problem here and it did not provide much soundproofing. I requested to change the room and the staff changed it for us to a different room with a balcony on the third floor in the same building. As soon as I walked in the hotel room I went straight to the balcony to check if it was quieter than the previous room. This time I found a spider about 2 inches big on the curtains, and then when I looked down I saw a colony of ants on the floor behind the curtains. Now the balcony had some tree branches falling over it so I am guess someone left the balcony door open long enough for those pests to enter.

Only stayed for one night but it was really clean and comfortable to sleep

Great stay. Hotel was a short walk from The Acropolis. We were able to check in early and everything was very smooth. Breakfast was great, with a wide variety on offer. Staff were friendly and always happy to assist.

Perfect location for Acropolis and Metro stations. Easy walking distance to restaurants, bars and shopping. Ideal place to stay in central Athens if you want to base yourself to see the lot.

I have stayed in Cocomat hotels before, this one had an atrium in the middle of the building and it was too noisy until midnight noise coming from the inside atrium. The price was too expensive for what i got in general. Thank you

We were given room 802 by a very nice lady when we checked in. The room was perfect it had a great view of the Acropolis. The staff and this hotel deserve 5 stars. It’s in a great location. Every one was very nice and went above and beyond. We checked out of the hotel at 3:00 am to catch our flight. We were given breakfast boxes. I love this hotel and highly recommend it.
