We arrived at the address as per the booking (which is incorrect) and was faced with a derelict, drained pool and run down buildings and no reception. We eventually got through to someone via the phone number to be told they have moved everyone to another venue named: Panareti Coral Bay Resort. The apartment was outdated, had mould around the bath, Aircon not working in one room and most importantly was NOTHING like the images on the booking. We was miss-sold and misled. I took multiple photos as a comparison but i cannot attach these unfortunately as this would highlight what we encountered. Please do not book this if you want to be welcomed with what you paid for. We hardly stayed at the venue and didn't feel our stuff was safe whilst we was not there.
Ok for 1 or 2 nights at most
The reception area is a tiny room and it is locked. You need to dial a number found on the door for someone to come for check in. They advertise pool but pool is empty. Everything they advertise is nearby meaning you need to drive to go there. The apartment though was clean and spacious.
The place was deserted and neglected. I did not agree to stay and spend the night at the place, so I was transferred to another place.
DO NOT BOOK HERE! This place is a scam and does not exist. They forward your name to another resort that is dirty and cheap and looks nothing like the pictures you book. They also won’t inform you of this until you show up. We got there at 11 pm to a man standing there telling us to go somewhere else. This place needs to be removed.
Dirty, Unloved, and NOT Like the Pitcures
Shows a lot of promise but generally quite unloved. Damaged furniture, cracked floor tiles but a great sized apartment, exceptional views, nice pool and walkable to the village centre. Dirty pillows, no interest in covid-safety from staff and a general feeling of abandonment due to lack of guests. The litter around the pool stayed there longer than we did.
This property is possibly the worst I have EVER been to. We checked out the minute we checked in and never got to speak to anyone to get a refund. So they have normally processed my stay without even us staying there. The “reception” is a tiny room without air conditioning, the receptionist could barely speak english. The reception is a tiny room woth a dirty carpet and a fan not even a window. Outside the door there were dirty unwashed clothes including bed sheets thrown on the floor. The flats were nothing like advertised, broken chairs on the balcony, a thick dirty blanket on the beddings (it’s currently 40 degrees) the flat was not cleaned properly, the curtains were ripped. And I have photos of everything!!! I really hope expedia takes this property down because it’s an embarrassment to cypriot tourism and expedia as a booking platform which doesn’t verify the properties they have on there. We ended up booking a hotel (so these holidays cost us twice what they would have originally).
Only good was the size of the apartment and the friendly receptionist. There were no lights in the parking, the tv was not working, balcony doors were broken, no wifi in the room even if it says that there is free wifi, communal areas such as parking were not clean, overall the place looked abandoned.
Quite secluded in the mountains , amenities in apartment particularly the kitchen were good. But no hair dryer or iron. Shower was poor. Paint peeling off walls . We didn’t have a car so walking to village very exhausting. We stayed 4 days bedding and towels never replaced.
Property to far from anywhere.. Hired a car and moved to sister property to be on flat area.. To Hilly here and nothing around
Property was clean but not quite like the pictures
I used this accomodation whilst staying out there for some work on my own property. Its was ok has some damage from storms over the winter that had just been painted over. Fridge in my studio flat ran constantly through the night and there are a lot of cockerills live nearby that are noisy througout the night not the properties fault but annoying all the same. Was ok for what i needed i only slept there and didnt use the pool etc. Aircon was very poor didnt cool the room. I was in block A which has a road that cars cut through at speed. Wouldnt go on holiday there for me personally. Guy on reception or maintenance office was very pleasant and helpful. Would probably not be back ideal for what i needed. I didmt report any issues as i didmt have time etc. Was on for sleeping in.
The property is towards the top end of Pegeia so recommend people have a vehicle. Plenty of covered car parking. We stayed their 5 years ago and this time found exterior finishes to be flaking giving a bad look. Internally the flat still looked modern, clean and tidy. Caution or be ware flat is unserviced during stay so will need to buy some toiletries and bin bags etc. Although mid week a bag of fresh linens were deposited outside our door. Great views from our room on the top floor of block A.
We booked a 2 bedroom apartment for 1 night, the accommodation was very clean but very sparse, nothing at all like the pictures though, it was VERY BASIC, not somewhere I would chose to stay longer than 1 night
Coral Bay
When we arrived at our hotel we found that there had been a flood. We were offered alternative room at there sister hotel. The Coral Bay Hotel. Everything turned out great and the staff went out of there way to ensure we were happy.
We were moved to St Nicolas as this property was flooded. I was not pleased as St Nicolas we had no hot water the first 2 days. The hotel did get an engineer but I think the problem was the floods and consistent rain. I would not stay here again. The reception was friendly but the hotel I wanted was a better one so I felt I was given a cheap room in this hotel
Location to my friends house, only 1 set of bedding when 2 men staying in room, shower worked well but bracket to hold shower was broken and reported first day but not fixed.
In a peaceful and rural location away from busy towns. One can experience rural life of Cyprus. The accommodation itself is good.. but lacked enough cutlery in the house.. also remotes were not working.
The apartment was very nice and clean, lots of kitchen utensils, large fridge. Plenty of towels, spare sheet, extra blanket and pillow. It was cold so we were glad if the heater in the bedroom. The second lining on the curtains were ripped so only came down about 1/3 of the way. The first layer was very thin, so light shone in in the morning, and at night with the lights on, people would have been able to see in. Couldn’t use the bed side lamps as they had two pin plugs and the wall sockets were for 3 pin. In the lounge the tv has a two pin plug that had been pushed into the 3 hole socket. I’m not sure if that’s ok or not, but we weren’t able to plug in the two pin plugs, and didn’t want to risk it. It was out of season, so we didn’t use the pool area, but it looked nice.
Good place for holiday
Small but perfect
We rented a room for the day as we had a late flight home. It was clean and had everything you need. The reception guy was really kind and accommodating
We arrived at the accommodation late evening. Hard to find with very insufficient sign age and lighting to read the small signs. No direction to the small hill side reception, which once found was poorly lit. Accommodation in need of some attention with lots of crack walls and some over grown weeds in areas. We upgraded to a one bedroom apartment from the Studio we had booked. We felt at first that the property was no longer being used. Eventually we got to our room which was spacious and reasonable clean, yet with very limited views, esp considering the apartment complex is called Coral view resort. TV choice very limited, Wi Fi very poor with almost no reception on the complex. On an upward note, the pool was clean and pleasant, we had it to out selves most of the time. They have a sister Hotel near the beach that you can also use, free, with a health club. the upgrade was only 20 euro for four nights and we checked out at 6:30pm and they did not charge us. So in summary, dated accommodation in need of some maintenance, not of 4 star standards, however if you have a car and dont mind staying in the hills and want something spacious and cheap then it may be for you.
Lovely accommodation , close to local amenities , very clean , very spacious well equipped apartment, friendly staff
Nicely furnished, spacious, well equipped apartment. Staff were brilliant very friendly and helpful. Initially booked one apartment for three of us but were given the apartment next door at no extra cost. A hire car or own means of transport is a must tho.
nice apartment
long way from the nearest place to eat or drink nothing on site only the pool it did advertise snacks and drink at the pool when we booked the apartment was superb but nothing to do on site very poor
Overall bad experience
On arrival we were shown to a 2 bed town house, no a 2 bed apartment. When I advised the manager that this was not what we booked he said he was full ant that was all that was available. The curtains were ripped, plaster was coming off the walls, the table outside was falling to bits, only one shower worked, the some lights had no bulbs, inportantly on the staircase. top roof terrace locked an unaccessible. The house was not cleaned properly, the bedding and pillow smelt of stale sweat and we had to was them. The clothes horse was broken. the air conditioning units smelt when switched on. The fridge freezer, was very hot on the outside, not sure if this is safe. Managers attitude to these issues were that all the other customers had the same issues and that there was nothing he could do. The pool was very dirty and by mid afternoon a bad sewerage smell eminated across the pool are. There was insufficient umbrellas that weren't broken and the sunbeds were in a very poor state of repair. Generally in need of some attention the property could be made nice. Peyia is a lovely place, not too commercialised like the coastal resorts with nice restaurants. A car is preferable.
Unacceptable behavior
It was the worst experience ever. Upon the arrival at 3:00pm o clock as says in the terms there was no one in the reception. We called many repeated times at the mobile number that instructed on the door but no one answered. We were waiting for approximately half an hour under 37 degrees of Celsius. I was starting looking on the internet for somewhere else to stay. Finally the guy on the reception appeared instead of apologizing he was really rude. Apart from the other he said that an emergency happened like a fire exposure and it was in the basement that’s why he didn’t bring his cell phone with him. When he said to me with a very rude way it wasn’t a half an hour that you were waiting but only 20 minutes then I said lets go and there is no chance to stay in that place or pay. We cancelled the reservation and we left. We immediate booked at a different hotel, a last minute booking but turn into a much better choice. It was an unacceptable behavior and if I can find the manager I would really like to have a conversation with him and explain to him how his employees are acting.
No wifi
Our two day stay was very good only problem was no wifi even when we logged in with password it didn't work I asked other guests and theyhad same problem apart from that we did like our stay there but I won't go back because of the poor wifi
Above Expectations
Above expectations. The location was beautiful and overlooked Coral Bay and the village. The hotel was beautiful, the service was great. We made an error with our airport transfer and the manager took us. When I return to Paphos, I will be staying here again!
Disappointing
Often no hot water or drinking water available at the apartment. Hotel staff where dismissive whenever I requested assistance. Dead insects where in the apartment on arrival. It advertised as having a gym but there was no gym available on site. Pool was cleaned once in ten days and some guests resorted to cleaning it themselves so that their children could use it.
coral view hotel
At this hotel "Devastating" if the management hadn't changed us to their sister hotel there would have been insermountable problems
Disgusting!
Met by an abrupt and rude staff member upon check in who charged us €20 more for our stay than the price given as there were 6 of us in a 2 bedroom condo and not 2 people. Upon rechecking the price it showed no difference as to 2 or 6 people. So unsure why they charged us more! Room was dirty, dirt marks all up the walls. Curtains were ripped in the bedrooms. Top of fridge dirty. Blood on mattress of sofa bed. When voicing our concerns to the staff member (on the phone as he refused to come to reception to speak to us) he didn't seem bothered and didn't believe us that the room was how we described. We decided to pack up and leave after less than 24 hours there. He would not come to reception for check out and told us to throw the key through the open window of reception! Will not be staying again that's for sure!!!! Would not recommend!
we were the only occupants, were offered to go to sister hotel in Coral Bay on arrival late Saturday night
terrable
ripped curtain linings heaters didnt work no house keeping at all no sheets on bed patio door didnt shut pool filthy flooded outside toilets and one room didnt even have a window in it it was disconected completly, never anyone at reception to talk about faults and complain to never ever again
don't go here without a car.
Coral View advertises free Wi fi. No wi fi . Dont even think about staying here unless you are closely related to a mountain goat. We as two over 65s found the only way to get a supermarket is by taxi as their is nothing nearby. If I hadnt taken my mobile with me we would have had to spend the week in the apartment as any time we wanted to go out we needed to phone taxi to take us back. The apartment is well equipped but the cable tv advertised is not available. The explanation was that the tellys had been upgraded and the cable box ( it was in a drawer ) could not be connected so a video player was to take its place. Fine you would think but I never yet saw a video shop. The sea view from the apartments was lovely but that is not to say the sea was near it was just that we were so high up the hills that we could see for miles. The young man in reception (reception was about the size of my boxroom) was so helpful but if we needed to see him we had to climb a hill that even Jack and Jill would have struggled with. It should be made very clear in advertising that these apartments are not suitable for any body who had any mobility problems and that to go anywhere a car or the use of taxis is a must.
Paphos experience
I didn't enjoy my stay at the club coral view for these reasons : Mattress very uncomfortable.fridge very noisy.toilet fun very noisy.car park area night time very dark no lighting.far away from town.not easy to find poor signage.staff do not know much about the country.
Good Enough
clean apartments. great views. roosters crowing in the morning. would prefer to be by the coast but for the price we paid we were satisfied.
Clean, comfortable and great value.
Lovely apartment with all he requirements for self catering. Everything clean and comfortable. Lovely pool. Easy 10 minute walk to local high street and simple drive to Pathos and further afield. Would go again.
It was ok!
Apartment was nice, but not very clean there were stains on the sheets and the floor was filthy! Quite a few ants that need taking care of, and the wifi is awful!
Bit disappointing.
We expected the accommodation to be basic because of the price, and that's exactly what we got. It was clean and had a well equipped kitchen area. However, the place was a bit tired. Dirty walls, stained dining chairs and broken outdoor furniture. There were lots of ants, even in our bedroom upstairs. We woke up one morning with them in the bed. We asked if there was anything that could be done, but were told to go buy spray. The manager was unfriendly and not helpful and hardly there. The description of high speed internet is misleading. You cannot connect easily. There is no linen change during your stay, or a cleaning service. As other reviewers say, the location is set on a steep hillside, so a car is a must. Stunning views tho. We loved coral bay, but wouldn't stay here again.
Clean and spacious
Nice apartment overall. It felt a little bare due to no ornaments or pictures or lamps at all giving it no warmth or character but saying that, everything worked, was spacious, lovely view, very very clean, probably the cleanest apartment I have stayed in. Bed was a little hard for my taste but suited my boyfriend so you can't please everyone. Check in was easy, finding the reception was not and getting to the apartment at 8pm from reception was dangerous as was pitch black and no lights showing you where the steps are. Take a torch or use your phone like we did. It's a little out the way of the hussle and bustle but a taxi to coral beach area was 10 euros. Overall would recommend.
its not a hotel, its self catering .it was very good .downside the reception is seldom open. I. never saw any staff . we were supposed to get into our room at 2 pm . a man turned up at 2:45 pm to let us into our room .hilly location .
I wouldn't stay there
The apartment didn't had my reservation when I arrived even it was booked a week in advance. I booked again for three more days extension I even pod for it on the booking day three hours later they told me I had to leave because the room was booked! They send me to their sister hotel which is much cheaper but still charged me the full price of the other one.
Very nice location, very quiet
The location of the apartments is perfect. Very quiet and cool. The apartment itself was in good condition but is in need of some maintenance. All of the apartments should have a canopy on the veranda because the sun is very strong from noon to sunset. It would also be nice to have a working poolbar at the pool area.
Club coral view
Club coral view is a nice place to stay with clean rooms, nice pool and covered parking area.Nice modern appartments with nice view on top of Peya hill. You need a gps to find it as it is located deep inside Peyia village. You definitly need a car to move around as the location is relatively far from the beach restaurants and supermarkets. There is a pool bar on the complex but during our stay it was closed.
Dont do it to yourself.
WE have arrived to the hotel and being told that there is no reservation on our name and that the hotel is full... so they moved us to another hotel on their network... the AC was not functioning most of the day (nightmare), the room was not clean and the beds were so uncomfortable that I found myself sleeping on the sofa.
A distance to beaches
Lovely apartment but not close to any beaches, shops etc. Up high in the cliffs so would definitely recommend hiring a car to get around
Great peoperty
Amazing property very friendly and helpful staf would defenetely stay here again
Good value for money
Free wifi only available in the lobby and not your room. Still, the location is ideal for you to forget about your phone and focus on family time. Attendant was very helpful and the room was of very good quality if you excuse the smell of stagnant smoke in our room.
Cyprus in January 2016
What a lovely site and apartment with helpful and friendly staff. We arrived in Larnaca found our hire car got lost but eventually arrived at the reception, out host was telephoned and took us to our apartment which was wonderful. We stayed a full week and enjoyed everything. We were the only guests I believe, it was very quiet and cold brrrr
Quiet location, but up a steep hill.
A pleasant location with good views to the south over the bay. Coral Bay is a few miles away, so you need to use a car or taxi to get there, but there are shops and bars/restaurants nearby in the village centre. Apartment was spacious and well fitted out with car parking on site. As it was November I didn't use the pool facilities. The free Wi-Fi was a bit variable, but did work some of the time.
Nice hotel with for nice value
The paraneti resort is a nice place to stay if you a looking comfort and be next to the beach and from the coral bay avenue. The only thing that I would like have had, was to have WiFi in the room. For the rest the hotel was nice. With a nice swimming pool and facilities.
Good and bad things
Overall our stay was ok but when I booked the place it said house and not town house. I thought that was somewhat deceiving. I wouldn't have booked it if I knew it had stairs. Anyway, the other thing was that the map was wrong and it took us 2 hours to find the place. At the end we stayed somewhere and the receptionist came and direct us to the place. Definitely the place can use some renovation and some new curtains which were hold together with a tape. Another thing that was not nice was that they gave us only one remote control for the 3 air conditions. (Finally we got one more after a lot of negotiations) The swimming pool was very good. I liked the fact that the place was not very busy so it was quiet. With a better management and a good renovation it can become a great place for vacation.
Family holiday
A family of five, stayed at 2 bedroom apartment. We enjoyed it. The only complain is no internet in apartment, no hot tub as well. Need a car if you want to visit local beachs.
Nice apartments, nice view.
Nice new apartments with very nice view and nice pool but without any room service.
Dubious business practices
I was disappointed to learn that even though I booked the hotel and had a confirmation number from Hotels.com, the hotel was fully booked and they could not accommodate me due to a clerical error. Instead they sent me to another hotel which is unacceptable. For this and for the poor customer service, I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Note: I did not stay at this hotel so I am only rating the hotel service and my overall experience with the staff, not the actual hotel or room condition, etc.
Great modern apartments. Clean, spacious, views
Just returned from Peyia. Lovely relaxing apartments. Will definitely be returning. Fantastic pool, views. No grumbles at all. Loved it. Small hut where you can get snacks and drinks until 6pm, lovely people running it. We arrived very late as our flight was delayed, and the owner was fine, we just had to call him on arrival and he came to show us our accommodation. We booked a two bed apartment and got upgraded to a town house - brilliant. Clean spacious, modern, large fridge n latest Bosch wachine machine. Beautiful views. Hot hot hot. To clarify Hairdryers not provided, but an iron iis. Tips: The blue kitchen sink tap is drinking water as comes straight from the mains, so safe. Make sure you turn on the air conditioning switch underneath the units. You take the rubbish down to the big green bin on the road outside. There is underground parking. Hope the above is useful. These were just things we had to discover for ourselves, no bother, but if reading this review it will save you time on arrival.
Town house
Very clean plenty of room with two on suits plus down stairs toilet about 10_15 min walk to town center with a few bars that do meals bank and supermarket but if you like to get about could not find any buses had to pay taxi to get about or hire a car it is not good for the less mobile as it is hilly but quite
Coral view
The resort is situated in lovely, quiet area on top of the hill looking down towards coral bay. 10min taxi to coral bay where there are various restaurants, etc. The staff at the resort were very friendly and on hand when we needed any help with anything. Myself and the others would stay again. If you are looking for somewhere that isn't too overcrowded to stay, i would definitely recommend!
Great Stay
We stayed at Club Coral for 2 weeks. Be aware that car is a must for the location of the hotel as its around 8-10 minutes far from the busy coral bay, however, it is a walking distance to the bus lane. The Apartments are location in a quiet neighborhood, with a great view, make sure you get the top floors. Pool is very clean. The Apartment and the balcony are spacious. Staff are helpful.
Nice quiet hotel
The staff were friendly but at the same time gave you privacy. Rooms are very clean and shaded private parking
Short but lovely holiday
PROS The house was very nice with large areas, very clean and nice furniture. Everything was new and comfortable. Lovely view of the swimming pool and the sea side. The swimming pool area was charming too, although we didn't swim since it was cold. CONS Very bad wi-fi , limited connection. No blackout curtains in the bedrooms, we woke up from 6.30 in the morning from the sunlight. No visa, we had to pay with cash!!
Club Coral View
All clean and have stayed there three times before. Only criticism would be the poor room safes (operate with a key that is always temperamental) and very poor WiFi. It states WiFi access in the booking but you can only get access on a balcony and not in the apartment itself which isn't very helpful at all.
Awesome Pool & Patio
We had an overall enjoyable stay at Club Coral View Resort in a 1 bedroom Condo for 5 nights. Pros: The Rooms large in size, Self-Catering with Washing Machine, Full size Fridge/Freezer etc. We had 2 Air Conditioners (AC) to use free of charge.Awesome clean 30 meter swimming pool & awesome Patio with stunning views. Very friendly cleaning lady who did a very good job when cleaning our condo. Very good location for relaxing & taking it easy. Cons: The "resort" has no facilities like restaurants, bars, coffee shop.Club Coral View is situated up the hill in Pegeia which is +_ 5km from the main touristy area of Coral Bay - It is HIGHLY recommended to rent a car since walking up and down the hill is not for everyone. There is NO High speed Wi-Fi Internet Access. You get a username / password combo valid for 7 days but with no activity it times out frequently. It is extremely slow and we basically had to sit on the Patio to get a Wi-Fi Signal. We could also use the Wi-Fi at the Pool Area. Better to use your own 3G device for Internet Access. We only had 4 - TV stations - only 1 English (Euronews. Since housekeeping is once a week we had to take out our own trash and purchase our own garbage bags and toilet paper when we ran out. No shower gel, shampoo were provided - only one very little bar of soap during our complete stay We can recommend "Phidias Tavern Restaurant" for awesome Greek/Cyprus food. We will stay at Club Coral View Resort again when visiting Cyprus in future.
You need to know where you are coming
The units are great. Large, comfortable, very well furnished. Pool is lovely also. Now to the minor issues: The location is a little remote from Pafos. About 15 minutes drive. there are local small supermarkets etc. but a car is a must. Units are lacking in some minor aspects. no shutters to the windows and curtains are not enough to block the sun. Internet connection is not usable. No soap and sponge for the dishes... Unit was clean and maintained but also a little dusty. Overall, it's a very nice place for those who looks for a quiet place to sit in the sun.
Wonderful
Very clean und super comfort. Realy good for family but not only!
Great place to stay!
We really had a nice time staying in this place.Apartment was really good, we had there everything we need it. People were very friendly and helpful. We went to Cyprus for the first time and we loved it. Such a beautiful place to go. Lots of things to see. You can get lost in mythology following Aphrodite steps, walk around archaeological park in Paphos (Thumbs of Kings ,amazing mosaics )Hike in the mountains ,spend lazy days on the beach. If you have a chance try to go to Nicosia It is a very interesting place to see but completely different then the rest of Greeks Cyprus (but remember to have your ID if you want go to the Turkish side)And the food!!!!Lots of tavern with amazing food.
We sincerely enjoyed our time at these Apartments
It was initially very hard to find our Apartment, as it is in the middle of town in Pegia. Also, the number listed in Expedia is incorrect, so we had to stop at a tavern to help us find the place. After getting settled in, we had some electrical issues for the first two days, but our apartment contact was always there to assist us, even at midnight. The pool was a lot of fun, and the kids really enjoyed staying there. You must have a rental car if you stay here, as there is not much in the neighborhood to do. It is a good 1.5KM walk to the closest restaurant. Inside, the apartment was nice and clean, and everything you need to cook and clean is provided for you. We stayed for 10 days, and often cooked our own meals which was a lot of fun. They also provided us one complimentary house cleaning and they changed out all of the sheets. Overall, it is a great place to stay. Short drive to Coral Beach, restaurants in Coral Bay, and lots of local supermarkets. We would definitely stay here again.
Lovely view
The rooms were clean and big. The swimming pool was clean. There are no amenities like a restaurant or a small cafeteria where you can have a drink.
Fantastic Views
Our house had views right down to the coast, which were breath taking. A point to note, though is that WiFi does not always work throughout the complex.
Super apartment in very nice complex in quiet area
Very enjoyable stay lovely pool quiet village area very hilly need car to get around.
Lovely complex above Coral Bay, Cyprus
Easy to book, this complex was very clean, smart and beautifully furnished. A very quiet area, we had the pool to ourselves for the weekend! The beaches are only a 10 minute drive away, and the bus to Pafos was easy to use.
Lovely place
Great place to stay. Only problem was checking out is 10 am :-(
beautiful view
Lovely accommadation in a lovely village overlooking coral bay with stunning views. Manager very helpful and welcoming. 2 bedroom house was clean and had everything you need for a self catering holiday. Would definitely go back.
Fantastic hotel - choose house option!
House was amazing - 2 proper bedrooms and 3 bathrooms with private terrace and great open plan kitchen/living room. Really clean - maid service does come midweek (ignore other reviews on that point). Supermarket and restaurants in easy walking distance even with little kids. Kids pool v small and adults pool amazing but quite deep throughout. I found it warm enough even at start of April. Staff really helpful. Incredibly good value. Much nicer looking than hotels in coral bay and in easy car journey distance
Club Coral View Resort | Hotel in Pegeia | Travala.com
I cannot believe Expedia list this abomination of a place. No water in the pool just years of dirt and leaves tell you all you need to know about this scam complex!
