Love the washer and dryer and underground parking

My wife was working nights, and it was very loud in the hallways from the cleaners. That’s the only bad thing I had.

Great rooms, good staff, decent continental breakfast

This is my second stay here. Room was good but not as nice as first time and was closer to highway and could hear the traffic. I had a pet with me and this room had carpet (first time did not). Obviously other pets had been here as my dog focused on alot of areas in room. Next time will ask for no carpet. Hot tub not working but not a big deal for me. Some sketchy people in reception area when I went out with pet in middle of the night but there is a "security guard" on sight. All in all you just can't beat what this place has to offer for amenities and location.

False advertising and poor communication.

I read the reviews prior to booking this room and it stated the hot tub is always out of order so I called the hotel to verify if the hot tub was working. They assured me the hot tub was running. 2 nights later I am checking in and the hot tub is now broken. I said I called to confirm the hot tub was working and they looked confused why someone told me it was working when it clearly was not. This should be a partial to full reimbursement from Hotels or the establishment as false advertising. This hot tub option should be removed as one of the amenities and clearly listed in the app if working or not. The room was good but the whole reason I booked the establishment was for the hot tub otherwise I would have chosen a different hotel.

Did not get any notice that the hot tub part of the hotel was closed. This was part of the reason for the stay and it was only after check in on the way to elevator, but there is a sign that states that the area is closed until further notice

This was my first stay here but it will not be my last. It exceeded my expectations. Exceptional staff, clean rooms and excellent amenities. I was surprised how quiet it was at night and there is great grocery stores and food options. The hot tub was shut down but that was not an issue for me.

Overall a great place to stay while in Fort McMurray

Excellent for cleanliness !!!!! 5/5!!! Food was 5/5!! They changed it up each day as best they could for a standard hotel breakfast! Staff was 5/5!!!! Gave us extra blankets and gave us no grief at check in!

Room was incredible. Small things abound. Very enjoyable stay. Wont stay anywhere else.

Hot tub was not working which was why I booked this place, and there was garbage left in the kitchen garbage I had to take out.

Worst free breakfast ever

This was a great place to stay. Only bad review I would give is the breakfast wasn’t the greatest, but if your a light eater it was good Would definitely recommend this property

The servive was excellent, front desk staff were very professional. The Clearwater hotel is very clean & comfortable, would recommend it and would stay again!

The hotel was great. Rooms very spacious and clean. It was very quiet at night and not much noise even though it was right beside the highway. Unground parking was a nice touch.

Close to Montana’s was a plus. A few sketchy people in the area is the only detractant

Clean but basic

The cleaning staff were friendly and thorough. The underground parking was great. The hot tub was smaller than the pictures made it seem. The fitness room was very hot (not air conditioned). We were woken several mornings by doors slamming that we believe was housekeeping staff because our room was at the very end of the hall where housekeeping gathered. Room was equipped with enough utensils and dishes but larger quantities of shampoo and conditioner would be nice, especially since most people stay at this hotel for extended stays.

The full kitchen and washer and dryer was a nice surprise rooms are large . Staff are very friendly i would stay here again .

The property is dark and dingy and there were beetles crawling all over my suite. They were spraying RAID in the unit while I was there and I had to breathe the RAID fumes as well. I think the staff try really hard but this building needs a renovation.

It was fine. Compared to previous years staying there. This hotel could use some freshing up. New paint...brighter lighting in halls....my room was clean but food left in fridge from previous person staying.

Great place to stay - I have 3 kids and appreciated the kitchen and laundry in the room. Superstore is across the street to purchase groceries easily, the Peter Pond Mall is across the parking lot. Underground parking was appreciated as we knew our vehicle was safe with the locked doors. The location was nice and close to The Discovery Centre to learn about the oil sands, and MacDonald Island for swimming. The hot breakfast was fantastic (the 3 times we enjoyed it)- compliments to the chef.

Heat wouldn't turn off

The heat wouldn't turn off. I asked for someone to fix it or give me a new room, the solution for them was to bring me an air conditioner. I had to turn off the breaker to stop the heat and the AC unit still struggled to keep up. Wasn't bad at night with the door open but i ended up checking out a few hours early because it was too hot

It was alright... nothing to write home about. Was good things and bad things about it. Breakfast looked nothing like the pics and the gym is quite lacking. Decent sized room though and you could smoke on the balcony. Take that for what yoy will

The location was great and room amenities as well. Having a separate bedroom, full kitchen and washer and drying in our suite was fantastic given we were there for a week. But for whatever reason, the entire hotel was so hot. Our thermostat in our room registered 27 degrees and higher the entire time we were there despite having the system set to cool and having all of our windows open day and night. Given we had a room on the highway side, this meant for a very noisy, uncomfortable stay. Would still stay here again though and hope that the HVAC system gets sorted out.

Wifi password didn’t work for the first day. Only gave us one room key, and when we got the second, it wasn’t activated. Could only get ice at the desk as ice machines were not working in any floors, when we were told that we could get ice on 2nd and 4th. . Breakfast was ok. Room was very worn but ok for clean. Had to ask for pillows as only two provided. Parking lot wasn’t cleared. Very dirty. Breakfast was ok. Cleaning staff were very nice but front desk could use a little more warmth in effort to feel like you’re welcome. Training would fix that. Over all would say it was ok stay. But for the price should be rating higher.

The room was on a slant as well as the bed. Our room was built over a ramp and never levelled making it uncomfortable to stay in.

Room was very clean, bed extremely comfortable, best sleep ever. Only missing toaster oven which we like to use .

Rooms were spacious and had well equipped kitchenettes. Filtered water near the ice maker was a nice bonus. Secure underground parking was also a nice feature.

Hotel California

It’s comfortable and clean, but noisy with traffic but I use white noise to relax so once it was on the traffic noise was minimized. Hot tub could be hotter didn’t get a chance to have breakfast cause we were too hungover from partying at the casino then our friends took us out for breakfast the next day.
