The Manager was lovely. The rooms were very adequate, spotlessly clean and an excellent air-conditioning unit. My only hassle was that there was no iron available. There was on night one, but it disappeared. Parking fabulous and proximity to main roads and shopping excellent.

We had a good sized end unit, the staff were helpful and we enjoyed the honest, classic style.

Excellent stay, spacious units for family

Staff were super friendly an helpful. The cleanliness was terrible. There was even a old used toothbrush in one of the bedroom drawers an what looked like bloodstains on carpet in lounge. Furniture was very outdated

You get what you pay for - okay for those on a limited budget.

Nice and quite place to stay. A bit run down but was decent and comfortable for our 2 nights that we stayed here. Would have liked it that they supplied more than 1 and a quarter used toilet paper for 4 people. And the soap/shampoo dispenser should be filled to actually use it in the shower. It had only 1 drop left in it. I think maybe lowering the price for the night would suit this place. I think charging over $150 a night might be a bit pricey. The parking is great as it is right outside the room. The windows were a bit weird too. But it was a nice enough place to stay.

Tidy unit, dated but comfortable. Attention to detail lacking, no shampoo, soap, light bulbs missing, no food tongs, pans well used, chairs uncomfortable, compendium outdated. Furniture and fittings past use by.

Room is dated but clean and very functional. Only complaint is that the beds were very uncomfortable.

Business trip

Overall nice and tidy.

Amazing people lovely and kind. Enjoyed our whole weekend, had no problems what so ever. Will definitely be back again sometime :)

Overall I am happy with the stay, one thing I would suggest is changing the covers on bed to something brighter as the brown looks old and dirty. Other than that the motel was good for what we paid and good location.

Good budget motel. Wardrobe door needs fixing as it was stuck.

Reasonably clean and tidy they allowed us into our room early which was great as we were able to freshen up after our journey

when you are welcomed by a couple of cockroaches in your room it doesn't leave a very good impression on ones stay. And then there was the ants on the bench in the kitchen. Thankfully I ate out. Didn't leave me wanting to go back or recommend ot others

Our trip was for PHOENIX INTERNATIONAL DANCE WORKSHOP. Great location for this and for supermarket. We took two room and made sleeping work. Unfortunately they had another guest that was not very welcoming. Could do with a good scrub in rooms. - Kitchen stove in 3 needs upgrade. - bathroom could do with a scrub and fix windows. And telephones in the room would be great or staff answering work phone or transfer it to another line at night.

I LIKED JUST ABOUT EVERYTHING. NICE CLEAN WELL KEPT ROOM WITH AIR/HEAT (HEAT PUMP) - GREAT SERVICE >> FRESH TOWEL EVERY DAY etc...HAD A STUDIO ROOM WHICH WAS QUITE SPACIOUS. MANAGERS DID NOT SPEAK ENGLISH WELL, BUT WE COMMUNICATED OK. PARKING WAS A BIT TIGHT IN BACK NON-SMOKING ROOMS, BUT AWAY FROM ALL STREET NOISE AND "VERY QUITE" BACK THERE.I DEFINITELY WOULD "HIGHLY RECOMMEND" IT AND WILL BOOK IT AGAIN THROUGH EXPEDIA AGAIN WHEN VISITING HAMILTON. CLOSE IN... BUT NOT TO CLOSE TO CITY CENTER. I EVEN STAYED AN ADDITIONAL 2 NIGHTS !!! THUMBS UP 👍👍👍 FOR THE "CLASSIC MOTEL"AND "EXPEDIA"...CHEERS FROM HASTINGS, NEW ZEALAND

Large rooms, well appointed kitchen, 2 TV sets (one in the lounge and one in the main bedroom. older decor and a bit rough but still good value, room were clean but my room had a significant cockroach infestation, I got up during the night for a glass of water to find 30 to 40 cockroach's in the kitchen. Also there was black mold in the shower. (room number 5)

Lots of road noise at this motel. Old joinery so not double glazed and right next to a busy intersection. The room was clean but the beds were very tired. Could feel the springs in them and they were saggy. Not a lot of sleep here.

In nice, quiet location

I had to kill 4 spiders once we arrived, I guess it is a personal preference but I don't want to share my room with them. Other than that the room was clean and functional and it was great to have the air conditioning on such a hot day. The bed was very soft, (I am used to a firmer mattress) but again that is a personal preference.

Additional and unexpected charge!

We were very surprised and disappointed that we had to pay an additional $10 to have our dog with us! This facility is promoted as 'Pet Friendly' and nowhere on their website does it mention an additional fee to have your dog with you. We consider $125.00 too much for the age and condition of these motels - let alone to pay another unexpected $10!

Comfortable clean (but old) accomodation, with all the necessities for a family short stay. Would stay again!! Loved the fact that our house trained dog was welcomed and was not an isssue. Central location.

I needed an inexpensive motel in the northern part of Hamilton and this fitted my plans perfectly.

Clean and comfortable beds-we can take our dog. Good location for dog walks.

Basics in Hamilton

Basic hotel, slightly cramped with a double & single in each room, firm mattresses, wouldn't mind betting they used to be 2 bedroom units hence the seperate kitchen & lounge.

Had to saty here because all other hotels and Motels nearer town were fully booked because of international cricket event. The motel rooms are very dated and need a major makeover to bring it in to the 2000's despite this rooms where tidy and clean and the bed was just great to sleep in. Would definitely stay again if I had too

Convenient location with good service

Convenient for restaurants and groceries, close to the beautiful Hamilton Lake for lakeside walking. Great hot tub bubble bath, located on a motel street. Internet is unstable. Just the right distance from the Waitomo Glowworm cave and Hobbiton movie set.

Handy and clean

Hotel staff were great. Room was clean and tidy just very dated. I would use again if in the area.

For what we paid for 3 nights, it was disappointing. Fridge was very noisy, (turned it off at night) traffic was extremely noisy being at the front and right on the main RD. Someones leftover shampoo left in shower with after shave foam.Husband had to put a battery in the smoke alarm as it kept pipping early morning. Curtain needed fixing and again husband helped with this. Swimming pool was a bit yuk.Needs a makeover, seems to be stuck in the 60's. Not at all what I expected for such a high price.

Great value for money

Spacious, clean, comfortable motel with all the services we required. It had a full kitchen, separate bedroom, air-con, wifi and was clean a s a whistle. The price we paid was great value for money. Road noise was not an issue. It is not a plush top end motel but was very acceptable with more space than any new motel I have seen.

disappointed

We have stayed 3 times now and this time round our small dog almost wasnt allowed to stay as apparently hotel policies have changed, we were told that they had customers which were allergic to pet hair. Our answer to that is if room was cleaned properly after vacated then that wouldnt be a problem. We were quite offended, also plans had changed and we no longer had my kids staying night with us so i asked if we could get smaller room, i stated i wasnt worried bout price difference but they said they were fully booked, but partner and i noticed vacancy sign during whole stay so were not impressed with service over this.

Motel stay

Only stayed one night. Light bulb in bedroom was blown. Plug in sink was detached from chain. Windows could not be closed properly and needed attention. Mould was present in bathroom area.

Bit smelly

I wasn't expecting five star by any means, and the room was as expected but the room smelt of smoke. Which was especially unappealling as we had 3 children. Even my PJ's smelt of smoke when I unpacked my bag later that day.

Night in Hamilton

Arrived in dark, manager very helpful and although it was cold and frosty the unit was warm and cosy. Manager gave us good advice about getting to destinations in Hamilton.

Cheap motel

You get what you pay for, clean, reasonable price...

We arrivd late due to traveling afar.ther was no milk nor was ther a selection ov refreshmnts.the apartmnt was tidy and warm tho. Th receptionist was very unaccomadating on th fone wile I was tryin to get ther on time

Noisy, old, smelly and very uncomfortable. For the cost of one night here and would expect it to be a lot more modernised

It was a quiet peaceful motel with great staff.

My wife is a light sleeper so she and I were able to get a good nights sleep ready for an early start Saturday.
