Service is really good

A Great Stay

It was a great experience. As soon as we got to the Front Desk we had a pleasant welcoming. A smiling and friendly face welcomed us and the check in was smooth. Breakfast was really good and abundant.

Skip This Dump!!

This place should be closed down. The pictures online are very old and the reality of this place is it is lower than a homeless shelter. My flight was delayed so I called and notified the hotel of my pending late arrival. Upon arriving and going to my room, the door was opened and it was apparent that someone had been in the room because the towels and pillows were missing. I immediately returned to the front desk and was denied a new room. I refused to walk without my shoes on in the room and the shower drain was clogged. I visited the front desk four times and requested to be moved and was told they didn’t have any room available. There was a whole in the ceiling and visible mode growing in the room. The next morning, I demanded a refund because I didn’t sleep an ounce in that drug infested place (yes people were hangout smoking drugs in the open) and I have never been so sick from a place. BEWARE!!

Good locatiob

They had to change me to another room. The lamp doesn’t work. And the hair dryer of the room they moved me doesn’t works too. Beds are old. They don’t have tv Chanel’s. Only the news and one of cartoons

Full of bugs we had no choice but to cancel it was not safe for my children, and the knowing that families have children the room had TV but no service property is very old. No more clarion hotel for us..

The room cost was low. The rooms need a LOT of upgrading. No tissues, toilet paper roll just sitting on counter. Bathroom drain had a lot of stuff stuck down in it…. Toothpaste cap, hair etc. Window shade didn’t work. WiFi didn’t work even with the correct user name and password. When I tried to call, phone didn’t work either. I would not recommend this facility.

The front lobby was nice and clean wonderful worker at front. It was looking great until we got to our room! We were given room 136 and we quickly noticed that it did NOT have an iron or blow dryer like other hotels have. The beds are not queens but full size. So it’s tight for 2 people per bed. The main issue was the door had a lot of issue with closing the door which kind of worried us if it was actually secure or not.

Need to upgrade mattesses

Beds and pillows are at its ends. Need to replace a while back. I got a room with two beds neither are good. They have the bed with the very very noticeable place where people sleep sunken. the mattress has been worn down. I haven't been able to sleep. :(

Me and my husband traveled to McAllen for my daughter's graduation however, the Hotel was nothing compared to what we saw in the internet. The room I picked and paid for wasn't available, so they gave us an alternate room, that was dirty and no toiletry at all, no phone, our room was not cleaned the next day, one night there was so much noise going around from when we got to the room til pass one in the morning, yelling, on the halls and running around, kids and adults no respect at all, doors slamming. I called the lobby and spoke to the receptionist, he told me "oh I know who it is, I'll take care of it" but nothing happened, My husband had to go to the lobby after I called 3 times to have someone talk to those guest, they stopped after passes 1 in the morning. At check out I exposed my aggravation to the person at the front desk, and the one who came to talk to me was the "Housekeeper"! I said I wanted to speak to the manager, and the housekeeper said, "There's no manager here"!' Hotel was nothing like what I saw in the Internet. I understand that price says it all, however, we wanted to give it a shot. Shopping and dining close by, that was good. other than that, not recommended.

Rooms were not up to par. In comparison to the pictures on file it was totally different in the room. There was rust in the tub on the lamps. There was very little light. The box of the bed was smaller so the mattresses didn’t fit properly each end was bigger and you couldn’t lay in bed we had to bring an air mattress. Not the experience we were expecting for the price we paid. The only thing that was awesome was the air conditioner and the breakfast. The staff was also very friendly.

Favorite hotel to stay at

I usually don’t leave a review, but the stay was so bad it was impossible not to. The hallways are dark and the doors look like they’ve been punched. My room had no lamps. The phone wasn’t plugged in to anything. There was no plug nearby. The tv did not work. The latch on my door would not close. The AC was so loud it was truly impossible to fall asleep. The bed was noisy. Every time I moved it would squeak loudly. It felt unsafe and scary. I had to make a 10 hour drive the next morning with no sleep. I regret staying here.

This property was not make for a disabled person, second no mini refrigerator or microwave in room. Plus we got the run around where our room was at then walked into our room no toilet papers and or towels they went and told them he man make it seem like we took the stuff. Very rude employees

Al principio nos asignaron una habitación que estaba ocupada, lo peor es que nuestra llave la programaron y si abrió, había huéspedes en la habitación y si nosotros nos asustamos al abrir la habitación no imagino las personas que estaban descansando. La siguiente habitación que nos asignaron tenía encharcamiento por que el clima tiraba demasiada agua, el baño toda la noche se escucho que tiraba agua y no nos dejaron toallas.

We arrived to our room, the room card did not work, had to go back to the desk and get a new one, the couple traveling with us had same thing happen to them. We go to our room, the carpet was ripped in multiple places, we had no lamps in our room, went to desk to inquire why we had no lights in our room, they said they would bring some to our room and never came, we ended up falling asleep. The air condition barely worked ended up waking up multiple times as the room was around 86 degrees. There was also no curtains, just a pull-down blind, and the street lights shined through our window all night., he also had a coffee pot but no coffee, no pot to brew it zip zero nothing. In the morning they stated breakfast would be at 7 am had to wait until 7:35 for breakfast, we walked outside in the daylight and multiple windows to the hotel were broken, the landscaping was poor and the parking lot was dirty. Just stay away from this place just horrible.

Hotel en general muy sucio, los pisos, baños, la regadera tenía hongo en las esquinas, sin mantenimiento el hotel, no nos dejaban toallas en nuestra habitación y la tele de una de las habitaciones no funcionaba. El personal en general regular

Bien Pero le faltó..

Nos hispedamos 4 personas, todo bien en cuanto a la comida incluida, solo para.mejorar deberían dar más de dos barritas de jabón para el baño y dos toallas, no incluyeron lao típicos vasos de platico, ni más cosas ie facilitan la estadía de uso de los baños.

It was such a low quality hotel. No A/C in the lobby, hallway or eating area. There was a very dirty appearance of walls and carpet. After walking upstairs due to NO elevator the key to the door didn’t even work. The door hardware had a gap on the door. It literally looked like a roach Motel. Many people and kids loitered the exterior and hallways. My coworker got the impression there would be bedbugs and so we cancelled and left.

A bad surprise

We stayed here as an emergency measure because our AC went out. We were very disappointed. From the mold in the room that agitated our allergies and asthma to the dirty sheets, it was a bad experience.

Rooms need to be remodel, a/c on my room worked off and on until it finally stopped working, mattresses are uncomfortable, much better to sleep on the floor, the room across mine had plumbing issues so there was water everywhere on the hallway, guest had to movecto a difficult room, as I did where the ac stopped and, good location, good employees but terrible place.

People complain about stupid stuff.. i understand this is not a 5 star hotel. But it was extremely run down and extremely noisy. Doors wouldnt stay closed so they flapped in the wind and walls were paper thin. Guess it was because they didnt have any plaster on them hardly.. lol It was very clean and housekeepers done extremely well..staff was super polite.. just not up to par with the other stuff

Complete wreck stay

The first hotel room that was assigned was poor with the door lock not working. The second room given to me the bathroom door didn’t shut completely and the television did not work only cause I couldn’t find a rom for that night I would’ve been gone also it seem like they were working on the next floor with loud banging and hammering. Totally a poor stay!

Great house keeping

Unfortunately, this property is in very bad shape. It seems as though it is not being maintain. Everything was dirty and smell really bad. My wife and i lasted two hours there and decided to rent another hotel room and loose the money we had already spent to stay here for three nights. The property is in a good location; however, until it is renovated and maintain properly i do not recomment anyone to stay here.

What can I say, you get what you pay for. Rooms are sparse, seriously, I’ve been in hospital rooms with more decorations. A sad place to stay. Airport shuttle is not guaranteed and is in one of the kitchen staffs personal car. If kitchen staff is working the “breakfast” there is no shuttle. You are allowed one scoop of eggs only even if that’s all you’re eating. Really gave them too many stars, but at least the people at the front desk were nice. The price may be attractive but it ends there.

Hair dryer almost caused a fire. Bathroom air extractor did not work. Quality of room forniture TV etc, Low.

Door key didn't work. Had to stop by the front desk to get the door opened manually. I had to wait in the lobby for 10 min. for someone to come. Bad experience.

This is is dump. This is a tear down building! Don't recommend anything about it. Carpet was torn and filthy. Had not been vacuumed in ages. Bathroom tub was dirty and no glazing,so very slippery. Toilet only flushed after 3 tries. A/C did not work properly-set it to 67 and it went to 63 and below. Horrid hole in wall. No sink stopper. The complementary airport shuttle did not happen in the evening, had to resort to $15 taxi for 1.6 miles. SAD. There was a morning shuttle, but it was so dirty and dented, it was embarrassing. Paint stains on seats and tons of dirt. More like someone living in it....The breakfast was only decent thing. Just tear the place down. And the wall art was borderline obscene.

The evening staff was so friendly and helpful. The air condition was a bit noisy, but over all it was a pleasant stay!

I accidentally spilled a drink on the bed. And asked the cleaning lady if she could change the sheets due to the spill. When I got back everything looked nice and neat and at the moment I go to bed I see she used the same bedding I already head including the dirt sheets.

It was too rainy, so they had problems with leakage, Front desk took a long time to check me in and a lot of people complaining.

Clean and good. Breakfast included.

Coffee machine broken on arrival, stale smell, children running in the halls (with a soccer ball), no stair rail with uneven steps, horrible breakfast, stains. Truly disgusting

Sucia la habitación, la lampara no funcionada y estaba rota, la regadera estaba tapada no se iba el agua y las llaves rotas, la ropa de cama de encima se veia que fue usada por otras personas antes. No tienen mucho personal para limpieza, para mantenimiento de las habitaciones y el menú del desayuno siempre es lo mismo y casi no hau muchas cosas de comar cómo antes de la pandemia.

The night clerk gave us excellent service.

The room was on the second floor. The stairs were steep and chipped up and the first set had no hand rails. The hallway had garbage on the floor and the room was not clean. There was a dead bug in the fridge. Linens were not clean. There was a gap under the door that let light shine in.

I didnt really enjoy the fact i had to walk all the way down and the orher entrance to room was unavailable and u had use a key to enter building .

I like the service of the staff personal

I have been here before and had an awful experience in the past, the poperty was very bad, dirty, walls coming off. Promised myself never to come back, until my wife did the reservation and was a pleasant surprise, everything got fixed, by far best breakfast in town.

Internet did not function. Lighting very poor with one broken lamp. Wouldn’t have been much help even if it worked. Served a very nice breakfast

Great cost

The room was clean and service was good. The only thing that was troublesome was that the handicapped room was not in the best location. The beds in the handicapped room were too high. I had two rooms for 3 nights and everyday that we were there we had to get our room keys provisioned so that we could get back into the building and our rooms.

The general condition of the facility needs reconditioning, the price charged is average as others available and the room conditions are not adequate.

The property itself was OK. I’ve given it mostly for stars because I think it could use a little updating. However, I give five stars to the staff. Every single person was extraordinarily kind and helpful to me. I really appreciated that.

Will be better if you have a new waffle maker machine,the ones do you have are to okd and the waffles stick on it even if I use cooking spray😳

The bathroom appeared as though it was mid-renovation and the contractor ran out of money. The vanity pedestal sink is secured to the wall with an unsanded unfinished 2x4. There was no toilet paper holder, the roll was on top of the towel rack and was brown from age. The door lock looked as if someone attempted to pry it open, but was unsuccessful, which I guess that's good. The card keys kept becoming unprogrammed which had me going to the front desk every time I returned to the hotel. The staff seemed annoyed to help, except for the night shift employee who was kind and understanding. There is no business center as advertised. They have two computers that have been removed and will charge for prints beyond 2 pages. The bed was lumpy, and the supports seemed strained to hold up even the weight of the bed as if someone decided to jump on the bed multiple times until they felt the wooden supports crack. While I appreciate the cleaning power of Fabulouso, it has a powerful scent that can make me nauseous. The entire hotel smelled like they just poured Fabulouso down the halls. Needless to say, I was not impressed with my stay at the Clarion Inn.

Had an amazing time while I was vending at a convention for the weekend. Great front desk assistance, and the hot breakfast was incredible!!! Food just like my grandma use to prepare when I would visit!!!

Great experience!

For being an old building it was surprisingly clean. Staff was helpful. Out side buuilding was a little run down. But i did get what i paid for.

BED BUGS EVERYWHERE!!! Barley saw our room and decided to not touch anything and leave! The worst part is management didnt approve our refund !!!!

The hallway smelled like marijuana. No complimentary toothbrush, AC was not working properly but we were given a fan so that helped. Toilet seat was broken. Telephone had no cord so we had to go to the front desk to report. Drawers for the dresser wouldn't stay closed, did hurt my knee going to the restroom in the dark. Breakfast was very good. Staff was a great at handling everything.

Door lock on room 133 was missing. No wash cloths available. Restaurant was not open. Outside door to the building not function.

Poor Maintenance

The floors look dirty. Couldn’t get cold water either in the shower or the sink. The door to the outside was unlocked and heard people in an out all night long letting the door slam. The service we received when checking in was excellent and very accommodating but that was the only redeeming quality of this hotel.
