Good location and friendly staff

Average hotel - dated rooms, breakfast disaster

This hotel is very average. Staff at check in were friendly and professional and the room was spacious, but it was dated with uncomfortable slippery bath to shower in. Our room wasn’t cleaned properly within our stay and tea bags were not refilled. The breakfast was an absolute disaster - people standing and running everywhere looking for tables as there was no organisation and not enough space for all the guests. It was very stressful and result of poor hotel’s planning. The early bird breakfast (before 6.30/7am) on our second day was a joke too - no coffee and most of the food taken even though it was only 6am. The coffee they use is nasty cheap Nescafé.

Car parking robbery

Fell foul of the Swedish car parking system of pre booking in the car park below the hotel. Went to the basement in the evening looking for a machine to pay for my parking. NO machine . You must use an APP to pay for your space . The hotel have no facilities to be able to pay through them for the spaces in THEIR building basement. Parking ticket was issued at 02:00am by traffic warden . Do not use a hire car in Sweden . Also had to pay a fine plus a £25 fee to do a bank transfer as they don’t accept credit card payments for fines .

Great hotel with view over a beautiful park garden. Nice location. Love the hotel gym. Best breakfast and close to shopping.

Good hotel but could be great

Staff were very nice at reception, restaurant and spa. Room was a bit tired, door to mini fridge was not aligned difficult to open and bathroom had some mould on the floor in the grouting. We used the gym and that was very well equipped. Also the spa but the pool heater was not working, they kindly offered a refund or rebook

Very central location

The perfect lay over before a flight back to London.

Unfortunately the check in staff were not familiar with gift vouchers. The hotel was booked via the internet. On arrival a voucher for the full amount of the stay was handed over as payment, however the lady in reception said that she could not accept this voucher as the hotel was not booked through their own website. Therefore payment had to be made by card and the voucher could not be used. After making a call to the hotel’s head office it appears as though the hotel staff were incorrect and the voucher should have been accepted. A refund was then made onto the payment card but was told could take 3-5 days. Considering the person checking in was only 19 and not from Sweden, and the hotel stay cost him all his shopping money, well that’s not acceptable. No compensation has been made yet either, barely got a ‘sorry’.. This was always our go to hotel but after this weekend, I’m not so sure anymore!

Very nice stay

Good location, just next to the terminus of Arlanda Express. Amazing open air swimming pool with a wonderful views to the city. A huge traffic during the breakfast.

Amazing incredible breakfast buffet, so many vegan options and it was all so fresh and delicious. Super kind staff too!

Great reception staff, horrendous accomodation

The receptionist that checked me in named Debbie was incredibly friendly and accommodating. I gave the service at reception 5 stars. We came in late from a Christmas dinner and was verbally harassed by the guard. I have never been so disrespected at a hotel, not even much cheaper hotels. In the morning I took a bath, and when the water drained it completely flooded the entire bathroom, so I was walking in a pool of water. I booked a more expensive suite, as I wanted to have a great evening, but staying at this hotel ruined my evening. We weren't offered any compensation, and do not recommend this hotel to anyone. I would recommend travelers to stay at the Radisson Blu viking hotel instead of this one.

Stylish hotel with friendly, professional and hepful staff. Excellent buffet breakfast. Convenient to Central Station and public transport.

My favorite hotel when in stockholm

All is well here. My blow dryer did not work and they did not have one available. It’s a block from the train station so that is ideal

Interesting stay. Booked two twin beds, premium. Arrived to one bed. Was told it was two separate...technically yes, but pushed together and you can't separate because the side tables are attached to the walls. It took four staff and an hour to figure this out. Finally got to our room and it was ok but definitely not a premium room. Looked directly in to other rooms. Staff were good about it but seemed really confused even though the two twin Premium was what was we had booked. The shower was terrible with a moving door and water everywhere. Like, really water everywhere. Beds were way too soft. Our bathroom wasn't cleaned well and there was even pee on the floor around the toilet. Yuck. The hotel and breakfast was chaotic, crowded and loud. The entrance to the hotel and the tight hall by the very slow elevators was not great. The spa and swim area seemed nice but open and close quite early. The evening restaurant was great, as was the staff. Parking is handy but very expensive. Lots walkable around and very near the train.

Margaux at reception was very professional and friendly. The staff overall was great. The hotel was clean and conveniently located right next to the Arlanda Express train to the airport or a 30-minute taxi ride. I had some drinks at the bar, and they were good. The place is cozy. The room was spacious for European standards.

Staff was helpful and efficient. Attended a conference and all went smoothly.

Nice stay but breakfast was chaotic the first day with people holding spots for others - who never did show up. Another section was very dark. Staff were very nice and the room was nice

A very modern hotel in the heart of Stockholm, a short walk from central station. Hotel facilities were great, with a lovely restaurant.

Second time i stay in this hotel and it does stand out compared to other hotels in the area. The breakfast is also the best. Room sizes are very adicuate compared to other hotels in Stockholm

Biggest let down of the property is the way the rooms are! Should have listened to the rest of the reviews. The room bed was awful, for the amount of money charged its not worth it. Most hotels will also supply with a basic bottle of water but not this one. The lobby looks chic and where most amount of money is spent. The bedroom finishes the minute you enter it, with sofa couch like beds, toilet amenities poor. I am returning to Sweden in few weeks but have chosen to book the Hilton instead which was cheaper 😂

Room quality was very poor. I had oremiur room booked, but two rooms were below standard without a safe and wardrove. Rooms were too small in sizes.

The front desk workers are exceptionally good. Very professional and high-end. We just came from Oslo though, at the clarion hub… so we had certain expectations due got be cost being even more, but even with the upgraded room (we were grateful to have been given), the quality is extremely poor as compared to the Oslo property. For the cost we would unfortunately not stay again unless the room looked more modern and sofisticated. The two hotels don’t seem like the same brand except for the lobby and dining areas. It felt deceiving in a way.

It was nice to have the spa facilities, staff are pleasant and very helpful. It's away from the central tourist liveliness but near enough to walk there. It's about a five minute walk to the Arlanda express station. Do be mindful that you can only have access to the pool and spa facilitied if you book a treatment, or you pay an additional fee for 3 hours. The breakfast spread is lovely. My room didn't come with a safe and it was supposed to. I'd go there again.

The hotel shines through its common facilities that overlook a park. Good and fresh breakfast from 7 to 11. Good restaurant although a bit pricey(we tried meatballs, pasta and burger with truffle mayo for the fries). The restaurant is beautiful. There is a rooftop (but it is tiny) where cocktails from the menu are only served to the clients of the spa. The pool is not accessible unless you pay the extra charge for the spa (which was really disappointing because we were not aware of this when we booked). So, you do not see the pool from the rooftop. There is a playroom for young children and a ping pong table that you can use while you wait for your room to be ready. Our 7 year old kids appreciated it for a short while, put the costumes on but got bored quickly. We did appreciate having it while waiting for our room. The family room on the 3rd floor felt small and dark, did not have a view, and I don’t remember closets for clothes. There were very little amenities in the room ( a desk, Rituals cosmetics). Unfortunately we noticed that the bathroom had a bad smell after a few hours. The room was Ok and comfortable for a one night stay. It felt very pricey though. We could leave our luggage in the storage room while waiting for our room.

First visit to Stockholm and loved it! Hotel got great vibe, staff excellent all around the hotel especially our lovely barman 6th-11th July. Breakfast choice amazing - will definitely return - best hotel we’ve ever stayed at!

Location and staff reception was very good in general Sweden is a very safe country and highly recommend to be visited as well as Norway

The hotel was in a perfect central location of Stockholm making most activities/attractions within walking distance. The hotel was very clean and the staff were very pleasant. The roof top bar was an added bonus. I cannot fault this hotel in any way.

Staff was always helpful and friendly. Room was dirty(floor and carpets were not cleaned), pillows were left on the floor on one of the days, dirty mugs were left and not replaced.

Every time we stay at the Sign it is fantastic! Feels so comfortable but plenty posh. Food is great but the staff is even better. Conveniently next to central rail but also easily walkable.

Room 703 facing the park is simply fantastic! If I'm ever in Stockholm, I'll be staying here again!

Lovely staff. Very small rooms. Impossible to pump shampoo out of the bottles… they didn’t provide shower gel only 2 shampoo for some reason. Small rooftop pool you have to pay to use. Great breakfast but if you leave your table to go and get something they will take your food away especially if it’s close to closing time. I wish they were more flexible about the closing time— it felt like I was being thrown out promptly!

Bar is too small for the amount of rooms they have. Often no place to have a drink. Furthermore the hotel is fine and location is good but very hugh. The pillows are terrible, sleeping on a napkin is more comfortable

The hotel needs to improve. The staff need to check furniture in the rooms for operation. The towels were in condition of rags. It’s a shame for cleaning staff to put them in the rooms. Breakfast was just OK. The front desk Albin was excellent!!!

This hotel is super convenient to central station & Arlanda Express. It is also very convenient to shopping & restaurants and Gamla Stan is within a reasonable walk of the hotel. The hotel features a vast breakfast buffet with so many options to suit any palate. The rooms are roomy & clean. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here & would absolutely recommend.

Fantastic hotel! My wife and I stayed here for a long weekend and the hotel. The roof top spa was excellent and the breakfast in the hotel was incredible, there was literally every food you could imagine and top quality too. Location is superb and central. Glad we chose here as it was superb.

Nice 4 star hotel

Great location. Staff were so helpful and friendly. The breakfast was amazing.

Likes: Great location; hotel friendly and helpful; excellent breakfast choices; room was spacious and clean. Had an issue with the room and staff immediately was responsive. Apologized for the inconvenience and gave us two 75 Krona discount coupons to use at the hotel restaurant. Dislikes: One reason for selecting the hotel was ot had a pool. Upon check-in, we were advised there was a charge for using the pool i.e. $40 per day on the weekend and $20 per day during the week. This was not mentioned in the Expedia listing. As a result and high cost, we didn't use the pool. The shower in the room is very difficult to get in and out of. Consequently would not recommend the room for handicapped and/or elderly as there is the likelihood of slipping or falling. Overall the hotel is a good one.

Lower floors seems not renovated and rooms are little bit shabby. SPA and roof pool on 8th floor are fantastic as well as breakfast.

4* Hotel with 5* Service in great central location

The hotel located conveniently only one block away from the exit of the Arlanda Airport Express.The Central Train Station and T-Centralen and Stockholm City undeground stops in Stockholm are also only a few more minutes away on foot. My request for a superior double room at a higher floors not far way from the lifts and stairs were all met. The room has the views of the Norra Bantorget garden and the city skyline. Excellent breakfast with a full range of cold and hot dishes was included in the rate. Breakfast is served between 7-10am but try to be there before 8am if you prefer to avoid the crowd. I particularly enjoyed the fresh fruits and the pancakes. Reception desk is 24/7 so no problem for late check in. The usual checkout time is noon that is already later than most other city hotels. Our return flight is 5pm and the staff were very helpful to allow us to check out at 1pm without any surcharges. The good gesture enabled us to spend as long as we could in the city withiout worrying about packing for the afternoon flight home. I will definitely recommend anyone to stay at the Clarion Hotel Sign. It may appear to be outside the Old Town but its closeness to the public transport offsets any accessibility issues. Beside, it is also a nice walk between the hotel to downtown and Glama Stan full of shops and sights.

Very misleading advertising . Pretends to be a 4 star hotel with spa/gym facilities but this is actually not included in the hotel at all and needs a separate booking and payment. I travel quite a lot and I’ve never stayed in a hotel where guests are charged to use advertised facilities. Wouldn’t stay again.

Not happy regular

Got to hotel at 0000 and they had sold my prepaid room. Night 1 of 3 nights. Sent to sister hotel carrying 20kg box with very iffy directions. No help. Just blaming Experior. Very sad as in the last 2 years I have booked +- 20nights in Clarion hotels in Sweden and Finland. Were always my go to hotel. Sorry no more.

Home away from home

I stay here on a regular basis as I travel to Stockholm regularly. Staff are always friendly and efficient. Food always good. Rooms are always just right. Thank you.

Excellent stay

Fabulous stay, had a family room which had 4 individual beds, v comfortable. Breakfast was fantastic, plenty of choice and a GF area.

The hotel markets having a pool but does not adequately disclose that you must pay a large fee to use the pool.

Close to public transport and restaurants. But major problems are heat in the room are maxed out at 3 degrees Celsius and can’t heat the water in the shower as much. I guess they are saving the environment and money but difficult for travelers from USA.

One night stay in Stockholm.

Location is fantastic, breakfast very good (try the omelette) bar has a ton of beverages to choose from, even if the opening times are a bit odd sometimes. The room was very clean, comfy bed and staff when checking in are very friendly. Can highly recommend to stay here.

Friendly and convenient with fab gym and good vibe

The staff were so nice and helpful. The gym is fantastic! It’s called Fit&Fab and has a great vibe with good music, cool lighting and modern equipment. Breakfast was delicious and healthy and catered to all my gluten free and dairy free needs with gluten free crackers, smoked salmon, humus, salad, cucumber, tomato, berry smoothie, good coffee with oat milk. The perfect start to my day. Great location just 2 mins walk to the main shopping street and 15 mins walk to the old town. The pool and spa with motion loungers was lovely. The dinner menu was more limited with mostly italian dishes, pasta and raw fish which were not my taste. Overall, I enjoyed my stay here and highly recommend it!

Unique room (junior suite) triangular in shape! Minor cleanliness issues but overall excellent. Stayed 6 nights.

Pleasant stay

Check-in experience was very good, room was reasonably clean. The double bed was two single beds combined and even the duvet were two single ones? It's not uncomfortable though.

Great location. Clean and tidy

A great hotel. Very friendly staff (esp Debbie on reception) I would advise not to stay on 3rd floor above the conference room as party noise comes through the floor. Very spacious room and comfy bed. We were moved to the 8th floor which was great for the spa. Whilst you do have to paid for 3 hours it's worth it. Breakfast was huge with lots of options.
