The spaciousness of the room interior. The facilities provided. Easy and quick access to Lambton Quay and surrounding areas.
Great location, easy walking access to all of the CBD. Nice and quiet in the evening as a short walk away from the main nightlife spots
Beautiful room; friendly and helpful staff; and great location.
Awesome location to visit Wellington and hotel was superb
We had a good sized 2 bed room. A bit tired, could do with a make over. Parking was a struggle, particularly if you want your car secure
confidence
Comfortable and convenient
was easy to walk to the places that mattered on the visit
The property is properly maintained, centrally located in a metro area, and has the same issues prevalent in many metro areas, an indigent population that can be unpredictable.
Such a nice place to stay. Heaps of things are close by.
Spacious room with microwave and toaster. Central to the CBD and short walk to warf precinct.
Everything we needed. Comfy bed and convenient location.
Always very neat and clean, friendly staff
Love our stay. Staff is nice and approachable. Room service is good.
Adina CityLife was super close to everything. I had a very pleasant shock when arriving at our "room" - it was a whole suite. Would highly recommend Adina CityLife, and will most certainly be booking here again if we get back to Wellington.
It’s right in the city centre and the rooms are big
Very convenient location for visiting Wellington.
The front desk staff was fantastic.
when we called room service they would asnwer straight away and help us with our needs no matter what lady at the check in was extremely helpful
No VIP benefits received. If you're hoping for any, don't bother staying here. The beds are also ancient and it's like sleeping on a banana
Central coty location
Awesome
Rest and Rejuvenation
Another overnight stay for rest and rejuvenation after driving fromChristchurch and the Ferry. Reception were accommodating and we had an excellent nights rest.
With our ferry crossing to Picton cancelled,we had to find a place for the night. Needed to be in town, close to the ferry and be affordable. Apart from no jug to boil there was everything we needed.
The apartment we stayed in was in excellent condition for our family of four (2 teenagers plus mum and dad). The kitchen was very well equipped with a decent sized fridge/freezer and an oven, which is unusual in the type of accommodation. Everything was clean and neat, and the staff were very friendly.
Central to everything! But finding the main entrance and parking was terrible. The 2 bedroom suit was amazing and right by the cable car and close walk to museum, great shoppong
.
it was okay but would have been better if tv option included youtube or netflix
Very spacious and having the 24 hour checkin was essential for a late night (and delayed) arriving flight. Very convenient location.
Everything was so close. Only minutes walk to the wharf for drinks and dinner, and alot to see
Clean, neat and great spot. Just note parking is 31$ a night.
No free parking
So.toget 5 stars just isn't going to happen . Any hotel with out parking ,or has paid parking losses 2,3 stars straight away, other wise like most hotels in new Zealand its over priced . Rooms clean amenities ok. Central location, but the no cities in new Zealand are that big.
Check in staff mad eit easy for late night with kids
Central to everything.
All satisfactory
Big rooms with 2 bedrooms and great access to Lampton Key
The front of the hotel is on Lampton Quay but reception is 6 floors up. It is a tricky to find the car entrance and park8ng down a long alley behind the hotel and taxis and tours seem to want to pick up at the end of the alley instead of the streetside front.
Location was central
Great location right in the heart of the city. Room was lovely and spacious however, was starting to look a little tired.
Lovely hotel. Convenient to everything.
Convenient location
Location was central and very convenient to many touristy activities. Room was very large with a sitting area, and came equipped with dishes and silverware. Water pressure was strong and hot water was always available. Service was very friendly and prompt.
Large space, great for longer stays
Location
Quiet and very convenient
We were upgraded to a very spacious and well-eqipped apartment. Only downside was the small mean bath towels!
Good central location in the business district. Easy parking at the rear. Inhouse dining options are poor though, only room service orders through 3 takeaways.
Staff were helpful and quick service. Room was fantastic. I just wish I didn't need to pay $31.00 for parking for 1 night.
Easy bus to and from the airport. Walking distance to the conference i attended. Nice large and comfortable room.
Not enough hot water but staff helped out good outcome.
Well looked after by staff. Felt safe during an earthquake tremor that night.
It would be good to provide a toothpaste and toothbrush and some cookies in the room.
Great place to stay. Very convenient location and everything we needed was walkable. Staff very friendly and nice. Room clean, tidy and comfortable.
Great Clean Quiet
Great staff and location, but the internals of the property were getting old. Some elements had been updated like the bathroom in the kitchen. We had a little baby with us and the curtains didn’t fully close so would let light in, especially at night it would let the lights from the city in. The curtains were pretty old and weathered. Needs a bathroom toilet brush and better extraction fan, if you know what I mean lol. Otherwise the one bedroom room was a good size for us and location was hard to beat.
Very good stay..
Very good stay. My friend & I had a two bedroom suite. Nice & clean, plenty of towels which we appreciated. Excellent location. We inquired about a late check out which we were able to get for no extra charge. Excellent staff who were very friendly & helpful. Would definitely stay again.
Great space. Could do with a bit of an update.
Location and parking
A quiet, comfortable room in a handily located hotel with excellent staff service.
Location excellent for Wellington cod. Room compact but adequate. Amenities comprehensive. Room clean and bed very comfortable with a number of pillow options. room a little dark as there were only two small windows but as we were only staying for 1 night this didn't matter. Parking ok but a little inconvenient as we had to drive into another car park.
Spacoius comfortable room. Walking distance to anything you could possibly need. Layout was somewhat awkward, bathroom felt a bit small despite the size of the suite.
Nice central place to stay.
The rooms are spacious and clean, but we found that the heating systems aren’t up to the job. Arriving to an apartment that was freezing cold was not a nice experience, and the heat pump was not working. In retrospect we should have got hot drinks and sat out near reception while the place warmed up after maintenance sorted it, but we shouldn’t have had to. On day 2 a very old (but effective) wall heater expired, filling our apartment with acrid smoke, resulting in having to be moved to another apartment that again was very cold, think 12 degrees Celsius. The bedrooms were only heated by a tiny fan heater, which of course cannot safely be used while asleep. My daughter’s room facing the street would have been 10 degrees C at most on some mornings. To be told with attitude by reception that we could have asked for electric blankets was unhelpful. They can’t be safely used all night either.
short stay
as usual a comfortable stay in a good location.
Great location
Great location. Good facilities except heating- relied on small fan heater in lounge area
Central location
Parking is a little bit of a problem, so check it out throughly . Room was superb and the price just great. Awesome value for money
Friendly and accommodating staff. Comfortable beds and room had all required amenities. Ngā mihi.
fantastic stay for a family (we had the two-room suite). the location is excellent in the middle of everything for truism. The room is luxurious, huge and both bedrooms are separate. full kitchen and washer-dryer in the bathroom. great value
We liked the property because it was right in city and close to shops and places to eat. We have nothing to not like about it. We loved it.
Awesome location
My second time staying there. Very convenient. Alright price.
We liked the very convenient position of the Hotel, it was easy walking to everywhere we wanted to go, staff were very helpful
Location was good. Reception staff very welcoming. No service of room during our stay was dissappointing.
We have stayed at Citylife on Lambton Quay in Wellington several times and have always found it to be excellent. Great location. Very good reception service, with fast check-in and check-out. Rooms are spacious, well appointed, clean and tidy.
Our stay here was great. We arrived super early and our room was ready which was an awesome start! It was clean and tidy and great to have a separate room and living area. We didn't really use the kitchen too much as only there for two nights - but it had all the amenities. The staff were friendly and helpful.
Great location, great having 24 hour front desk as we arrived from Australia around 3am. With shops right at your door most things are in walking distance.
Friendly and attentive staff
Solo tourist visit
Great hotel in a good location. Reception staff were friendly and helpful. Can drop off luggage before using car park which is just 100m away. Bed was the most comfortable I've ever slept in when at a hotel and the range of pillows available was excellent.
We booked this hotel for one night while we had dinner in the city. The location was perfect, and the size of the room was very good. The staff weren't very knowledgeable about surrounding areas eg; shopping. Or about the pillow menu, when asked. Overall was a pleasant stay.
Convenient to shops and where we needed to be. Wasn't impressed with the size of the room given we were there for 2 nights.
The City Life was a great place to stay. Staff were so helpful and friendly, room was spacious, clean and super quiet considering it is in central Wellington. Coffee, tea, hot chocolate, plenty of towels, the list goes on. My friend who was with me booked to stay there again in a couple of months and I have recommended it to other friends and family.
Walkable to the museum, shops, groceries & restaurants
Location was great and parking was easy. Not many food options close by after 9pm but I e made do.
Nice location: walking distance to the Railway Station and all the attractions. I received a suite and discount on food thanks to Expedia. The suite was very clean and had good amenities. The only thing that needs attention is the tiny, unstable space provided for putting soap and shampoo while taking a shower.
Very comfortable. I will return
Great location, good facilities in suite
Great hotel, great location
We stayed at CityLife for 3 nights as part of our first trip to NZ. Couldn't fault the hotel at all. The rooms were spacious, the kitchen ideal for having/making breakfast in the room, we used the laundry facilities in the bathroom to freshen up some clothes and the reception staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is within a few shops from the cable car, there is a grocery store and pharmacist within a few hundred yards and the harbour and museums within 10 minutes walk. It is also only a 10 minute walk to the railway station. We used the airport Express bus ($10 pp) and got off at the stop that was a few yards from the hotel. This is a fairly small hotel and doesn't have a restaurant so if you like a large reception area and meals then this is not for you. We found plenty of places to eat by the quay and overall thoroughly enjoyed our short time in Wellington.
Good location, clean, well maintained.
Very nice one bedroom apartment in downtown Wellington. Close to everything. Very nice staff.
It was much easier to find than I had expected with the reviews. The staff was very helpful. Our room was an upgrade that I had not expected and was very big and well equipped.
Great staff, close to everything without being super loud
Nothing extra to add, reception staff were super friendly
.
Hard to find. Terrible parking .Helpful staff
Didn’t like the room outlook onto an ugly old wall with half dead sparsely planted greenery that didn’t hide it. Averaging over $500 per night that’s not what we expect. Have stayed here a few times over the last 17 years since we left NZ, but this will be the last stay. There are far nicer choices.
The property is convenient for where we wanted to go and do while we were in Wellington. Easy to get to from the motorway.. They upgraded our room to the 2brm apartment which then allowed our daughter to have her own room and not just a pull out bed.
Spacious and clean. Great value.

Didn't realise you had to pay for overnight parking at the property. Property was modern and very clean. Beds were very comfortable. Couldn't fault anything. Would definitely book again.
