Good place to stay
The staff can be a little nicer and more attentive. Its like they picked the wrong work. They are working in hospitality and none is offered.
Is a very convenient place, restaurant right next to the hotel and there is a guard checking parking lot at night.
The girls in the front desk were very rude and incompetent my phone didn’t work and neither did my WiFi I had to go down stairs and wait 10 minutes to get the WiFi fixed because I couldn’t call them the air points rite at you the bed was really hard carpet around the floors is all torn will never stay there again
They barely clean the room, didn't replace the soap neither the towels. Poor experience , was expecting way more from a Marriott hotel.
I stayed here a few weeks ago and this time it cost double, the room and bed linen weren’t as clean. The breakfast area wasn’t being tended to. The trash cans were so full you couldn’t throw away your plate. The coffee machine only dispensed hot water and the tables were messy from the people that had eaten before you.
Mal servicio y sobre todo el desayuno muy mal.
La ubicacion es muy conveniente.
NUNCA ME HOSPEDE AHÍ Y NO ME QUIEREN HACER MI REEMBOLSO!
Ive stayed there several times for work. This last time I noticed they got a whole new front desk staff. Its only been a month since i stayed there last. I arrived 30 mins before check in. They said my room wasnt ready so went new door to el papalote (great resturant) to waste some time. When I showed up to check in there was a long line. It took an hour for me to get checked in. The new staff is horribly slow. It took the her 15-20 mins to check in each guest. Even with exsisting reservations. I get to the room to see its not ready and the havent even started cleaning it yet. The cleaning staff in fustration asked (politly) if i could go down and ask for another room. This took another 10 minutes only because I decided to cut the line and force them to help me. Despite seeing i had come back down they didnt immediately help me as i believe they should have. They had to call another lady from the back to help me. After finally checking into my room, i couldnt connect to the wifi and the tv never worked. They got the wifi fixed but never bothered to mention the tv at this point. This experience was horrible, it makes me never want to stay there again, but my company books that hotel. I hope it goes better in a fews weeks when i have to return.
Average
Check in was excellent. I was allowed to park in view of the lobby which was good since my car is full of household items. Access to the property was a challenge as I couldn’t cross the highway easily. Maybe instructions on doing this would be useful
Todo estuvo excelente , lo único malo es que se escucha todo el ruido de los autos que pasan por la avenida y casi no pudimos dormir , pero lo demás excelente .
Difficult access.
Carpet on aisles and room with stains and dirty
Only good thing is their location
This hotel used to be decent at a decent price. It is clearly overpriced. The rooms stink, the pillow are more like rags, everything is dirty. I asked if there was security at the parking lot, “sometimes, there are times when the guards is not there”.
The hotel is becoming a no-choice.Bad smell in bathroom, worn towels, no change at frontdesk for vending machine, noisy as trucks are allowed to park in front of the hotel. The only good thing is the restaurant next door. Even the burger joint is bad. I'll come back in case I work north Monterrey, but I'll try to leave as quick as possible.
Sad to see this place that we usually enjoy go down like this. Extremely low water pressure from the shower head, towels stained, and they took like 25 minutes just to check us in. Water was also dripping at the front entrance smelled like sewer water.
I found my hand towel not so clean , I have to request an extra body towel ( we are a couple) and right outside the elevator was an man underwear on the 4th Floor
Clean
Kind people and quite place to stay.
Excellent service from the hotel staff
dirty sheets and bathroom
Ok
Very convenient, right on the highway. Check-in was painfully slow, first room stank of cigarette smoke and only one bath towel provided.
Good location near highway, enclosed parking for better safety, breakfast was alright, rooms are clean... recommended!
I reserved a room for 3 people, my son arrived a day before my husband and I. When we arrived at the hotel they did not want to give us a key because my son did not inform them of our arrival. The person in charge explained to us that it was a security issue. But I told him that he could make a call to my son and confirm what we were saying. He didn't want to, until he saw me very upset and he accepted. I understand that they want to take their precautions but they should be more flexible considering that we were offering to identify ourselves.
Ok
Todo muy bonito.
The breakfast could be better, the eggs we found the egg shell that still have the brand. They don’t look like scrambled eggs, change chef if not one, then get one
Comfortable and accessible
Conviene right off the main highway
Second time staying here. Reasonable, comfortable and convenient.
location
Very convenient heading North. More difficult to get to and to leave again heading south. Good mexican restaurant and Starbucks next door
Good for the price. Clean safe place. Carl Jr & one other restaurant. Convenient to Hwy. I wish you had more channels to watch in English. I would stay here again.
.
Bad Pillow
Good for what we paid for. Pillow was terrible.
Bring breakfast back
Everything was exactly as expected except the quality of the breakfast has slipped a bit. Possibly this is due to COVID, but I sure hope it improves back to its former wonderful status. Also there was no ice available.
Recomendable
Todo estuvo muy bien, está muy limpio el lugar y son muy amables
Stinky
The room had an odd smell, musty? Could not adjust fan or AC in room.
Overall, good needs some repairs. Bkfast could be better, service excellent. Good
Got a room on fifth floor with room of the airport across the highway. Made for a very interesting stay.
This is just about the only easy option when traveling south into Mexico from the border. This was our third stay. The carpeting is ready to be replaced. Only 1 6oz bottle of water was in the room for 2 guests and the vending machine was out of order. However, there was a 5 gallon bottle available in the dining area.
Everything thing was fine but no hot water in shower.
Nice!
Very comfortable bed and they allow pet dogs with cash deposit. se permiten perros :)
Convenient location for travelers
The rooms are clean, minimalist. Lots of outlets for charging. The real asset here is the location for travelers, as it's located across from the general aviation airport Monterrey Del Norte, and between the end of the Nuevo-Laredo toll road and the Monterrey bypass toll road.
Convenient on the free highway. Very cold front desk person on checkin, could not get internet to work, 1 towel only in bathroom. Breakfast was decent. Comfortable, basic room.
A pesar de tener reservación con cargo en línea a la tarjeta de crédito, dijeron que no podían hacerlo asi y que se requería una tarjeta fisica
Convenient location, clean, friendly and helpful staff. There is a good restaurant right next to the hotel.
Property fine. I made a mistake in believing that City Express Norte Airport was the one near the airport; it turned out to be far away on another airport. This confusion was made worst because City Express would not change my reservation. They turned me away during a terrible thunderstorm.
Good.
Clean, great location next to local airport. Options for food, drink, and coffee nearby. Quiet and comfortable rooms.
I DID NOT LIKE THAT WE DID NOT HAVE TOILET PAPER IN OUR ROOM AND WE ONLY HAD TWO BATH TOWELS IN OUR DOUBLE BEDROOM. I INFORMED THE FRONT DESK WHICH THEY DID NOT RESPOND QUICKLY. I HAD TO GO DOWN TO SEE WHAT WAS TAKING TOO LONG. AND THE GENTLEMEN WORKING THAT NITE HAD NOTHING BUT EXCUSES TO WHY HE HAD NOT GONE TO GIVE US THE TOWELS AND TOILET PAPER.
Not the best hotel, not the best attention. The room small
En general muy sucio todo, el servicio bueno, pero todo muy sucio
Good Price. Terrible WiFi.
Terrible WiFi You should fix the Sidewalk to the convenience store next to the hotel.
Last minute booking!!!
For what we needed it was a good night sleep.. We didn't want to risk driving at night so this was on way back to Texas and it was good for what we paid. Breakfast was decent too!!!
Great hotel stay
The stay was great, service was wonderful, breakfast was great my kids loved it, the only down side is that you have no microwave or mini fridge in the room other than that great hotel.
Great stop for travelers.
Nice utilitarian hotel, located just north of the Cuota around Monterrey. It makes for a good stop if you are traveling beyond Monterrey. It's walking distance from the Del Norte general aviation airport. The hotel was clean, road noise was not a factor which is amazing considering it's proximity to a busy thoroughfare. The breakfast buffet was good, wi-fi worked well. Parking was a bit limited, there's a Carl's Jr. that shares the lot.
The hotel is fine for the price I paid. There are not many choices for dining in the immediate surroundings but, I guess the easy way to arrive compensate for the lack of choices for food.
Clean, comfortable, modern.
Can’t beat location for proximity to Del Norte airport. Good breakfast, and a couple of close choices for dinner.
Very nice place.
The hotel staff was great, the the property was very nice. I was there for 11 nights and the only problem was the regular power outages.
Good service, not so comfortable
Good service and clean, not so comfortable, very austere rooms. High humidity because of A/C. Wi Fi service not available even with guest user password. Few nearby amenities.
N
The room was had a humidity or mold odor Was terrible All other aspects perfect It was a pitty because service was excellent
The only thing I don't like is the bed. Otherwise everything is great. First time I go to the happy our and it was great!
The television didn’t work phone was locked and toilet didn’t flush
Quick stop over
This is our stop over hotel on the way to the border. Since last time we stayed here, there were improvements made to the cleanliness of the room. It was nice. The bed abre comforable but the pillows are terrible. For only one night this is a good stop over hotel.
This is the filthiest hotel I have ever been to. In our room there were some dirty tissues (not ours) r d stains on carpet, trash all over. The bedspread was sticky. The phone is locked so you can’t call the front desk. If you want to ask or complain about something you need to go downstairs. The only convenience is the location.
Best location for road warriors but so-so comfort
Incredibly for an international highway and a big hotel chain, the reception folks spoke no English but my Spanish was good enough--still, annoying. The laminated desk was warped from a water spill, the shower was laughably limp (ah, Mexico) and the breakfast was dry eggs and watery beans. The coffee machine was sooo slow a line of 5 guests developed for our morning jolt. Thankfully, it was so bad no one had to wait for a second cup. Amazingly, there are no other places like this right on the highway to Laredo so if time is an issue, you just suck it up and stay. Someone please give these guys some competition--they (we) need it!
Great stay
Great location, great people
Really nice, except no hair dryer
This hotel was in a great location for us, just off 85 toward the U.S. The hotel was clean and very nice. Everything seemed to be budget, which was just fine. The only thing we were disappointed with was their was no hair dryer, however, we would stay again and bring our own.
Convince plus cleanliness
Last week was our first stay at the City Express Norte in Monterrey, Mexico. This is a really good hotel on the north side of the city that is on the highway going to Laredo. It is a somewhat sparse business hotel, but it is clean, has a great location, offers breakfast (actually starting at 6 am!1..great for travelers) as well as late afternoon snacks. We will stay there again when traveling to the Laredo area.
They couldn't find my reservation # that was given by hotels.com luck they had a couple of rooms available if not they said I woulda had to have gone somewhere else
City Express Nuevo Laredo Monterrey
Enrique and Manuel were extremely helpful and friendly. Hotel is very clean and well maintained.
Great location for travelers
Staff very helpful and accommodating. 24 hour security checks
Staff and customer service
We arrived early 1 hour prior to the check in time. The front desk lady told me that we couldn’t check in yet, because it’s not time. I said OK we will be waiting here in the lobby. She replied back to me NO, you can not be in the lobby it’s only for guest who are already in. I said I have my kids and it’s 98 degrees outside. It’s really hot. She said, well you can not be here until your check in time and turn around and keep on talking with her coworker. Very rude, unfriendly and unprofessional staff. Very disappointed. Horrible customer service. So we left and come back, when we get to the room, there is not a TV control remote, so we call the front desk, they said we will bring you one in 5 minuets... we wait 30 min. and call again and ask them, they said we are check into right now somebody will be there shortly, we waited 15 min and no one ever showed up. Until my husband went down stairs to tell them again. Horrible staff, terrible customer service, very unprofessional and unfriendly. When you travel by your self it’s another story, but when you have kids with you please understand the circumstances and help to have a good experience. How could they told me that we couldn’t be waiting in the lobby because we haven’t check in. It was only 1 hour before the check in time. Very unhappy and disappointed customers.
Very convenient location for specific airport trav
Staff and location are excellent, however, the room had several issues. Internet was difficult to access (staff helped me resolve it with special access code). Air conditioning unit had no remote and pointed directly at bed. In the middle of the night it stopped cooling. No water pressure in the shower.
Absolutely a five star stay!!
This hotel was an amazing experience. From the front desk, to management and all the hotel staff, I was made to feel at home. Breakfast was always delicious and fresh and the coffee was some of the best I've had. There were plenty of good eating establishments right beside the hotel and a free shuttle and reasonably priced taxi service. I'm looking forward to a return visit filled with rest and relaxation.
Recent Stay
I like this location due to it being at the junction of 85 & 40. This lets me travel between Laredo and Guadalajara without getting too messed up with the Monterrey traffic chaos. Price is reasonable for a hotel of this class and there are a couple of dining options right on the premises. Good thing because there is nothing else for miles around. Check-in was a bit rough because they had computer issues and could not find a record of my reservation through Hotels.com.
Nice if you work north of the city.
I've been traveling to MTY the whole year and I don't find a replacement for this hotel. If you are in the north area is the best.
This is a brand new hotel, right on the highway so great for traveling to Larado from Monterrey direction. Clean, comfortable, great bed and good breakfast. We would stay here again. Absolutely nothing but offices and factories around plus a couple of fast food restaurants. Did eat at Gracias a couple of minutes drive north on the right hand side of the road. Tricky to get to the first one you will see which is on the left hand side of the road. It is quite expensive to take the toll road called the Perifico. I might consider the slower road that runs parallel.
Bad AC with noise which did not let me sleep
Good location and cleanness but the AC had an annoying loud noise that would change noise type every so often so I could never get used to it, and the AC control on the wall was not working. Room got hot at some points and then cold again. I had a terrible sleep that night.
Great hotel in the middle of nowhere!
I had to go there for work. There is nothing around but a couple restaurants. Staff make their best to make you feel great. Room is very basic, business style. I'll go back if I have a chance.
No clean
The floor wasn't cleaned on my second night
Monterrey norte
Very well situated, good breakfast and very helpfull staff
Very comfortable. Good breakfast. Great location if you are trying to avoid Monterrey and heading straight to saltillo the morning after.
Excelent service and new instalations. Tre hot breakfast is very good and clean rooms.
Convenient and clean
If You are on your way to or from the U.S border. It is a rather convenient location- avoiding entering the Monterrey metropolitan area.
They did not have my reservation
Very bad hotel, they did not find my reservation and had not rooms left
Convenient & economical
Convenient but confusing from hotels.com which side of the airport it is
Great Job! just a few things
Hotel service was always very nice. New restaurant open next door that has really good food. WiFi is very weak most of the day, only good in the early morning. Water in the shower is also very weak. Beds are very hard, I am not sure if its a culture thing but I felt like I was sleeping on the floor. Overall pretty good.
Horrible
Horrible, When I get the room online I required Mariano Escobedo International Airport, it showed City Express and I book it, When I arrived to Monterrey, I get to the Hotel and the receptionist told me i was on the wrong Hotel. That it was another in the other side of the city and she contact the other one and they said that they do not have shuttle there to pick me up because it was to far. Been out of town I decided not to risk myself taking a cab. The worst aver happened
Perfect if your TRAVELING
If your traveling and not want to experience time loss and traffic hassle, this is the perfect hotel for you... Good breakfast and great staff personal... Quick and easy reservation
Fast, nice, simple
Hotel City Express is Excellent
I liked this hotel so much I booked the rest of my trip through Mexico to stay in Hotel City Express. I was just as happy in San Luis Potosi, and very impressed in Puebla (City Express Suites both locations).
Monterrey stay was creat
It was a good stay, all good.
Avoid this hotel
The hotel is in the middle of nowhere and in a very bad neighbourhoud.
Not good - Not near MTY airport!!!
Don't be confused, this hotel is near the old Monterrey aiport, not the new one...they are 30 minutes apart. The hotel doesn't have a restaurant and there is only a burger fast food restaurant at walking distance. The area shuttle only works until 7pm...so not very useful! The neighborhood is really bad, next to a jail, police station...
City Express by Marriott Monterrey Norte | Hotel in Apodaca | Travala.com
I didn't like the smell of humidity in the bathroom and the sofa bed was old and very dirty.
