Rooms are small, but cozy and clean. Right on the beach. Good for couples and or corporate guests.

Rude and unhelpful front desk staff. Low ceilings. Noisy as hell. Construction site next door.

Room condition is very old and poor. need renovation and proper aircirculation . if window need protetction then put some jaali or gril after glass, so that we can have some fresh air. Very humid and AC were not controlling the temperature.

The Citizen Hotel was a great stop for me on the way to the International Airport. The room was very comfortable and I enjoyed the buffet before leaving for the airport. The staff was very helpful.

I always stay in this hotel for its outside sea front dinning and sitting to relax my holiday but this time expedia and citizen hotel thoroughly let me down with my family as it was your responsibilty to check if this hotel was in construction. this is not fare at all as my holiday was ruined. please I would like you to refund my monies

Good place to stay. Most weird access to the beach. You can only leave the hotel to access the beach, but you have to walk all the way around the beach to get back into the hotel. I suggest they have a simple resident only access (using the room key card) to get back into the hotel directly from the beach.

Citizen Hotel Would not stay again. It is a clean but VERY compact building with a lot of staff But lots of things go wrong even tho they have staff to fix things quickly it is annoying especially middle of night My in-room safe needed 4 separate visits to fix it. Extra $7AUD @ Hotel Sea Princess is a bargain! Stay there

Nice little hotel...was here 12 years ago and i can see, feel the difference. Even the type of local clientele is different. Hotels needs an upgrade espcially restuarant..i did not risk eating .. The room was nice and comfortable. Nothing special but i would stay again. Reception was also good and quick, woke me as requsted. The owners just need to invest in the hotel and staff otherwise its going to be run down .

One of the most pathetic and worst Hotel I have ever stayed. It was my 10th wedding anniversary. So I was there with my family. The hotel does not have any respect for their guest. The restaurant in the hotel is facing the beach. Miss behaviours and nudity from the public has to be born and tolerated by the guest... on complain to the management it falls on deaf ears. The hotel is meant for Kapuso one night stand druggies and smokers not recommended for any family is a kid. I do not have cribs for babies also.

The manager and staff is extremely rude and don’t provide the amenities accurately though they have the facilities available for the guests. They steal the money from the guest’s account and don’t provide the invoices to the guests which is a major drawback. I had a very bad experience with the hotel citizen. The cleanliness is not maintained and the staff is so abusive. Regarding the executive room, they took the money from me when I did the booking online and gave my room to other guests which they informed me upon reaching the hotel citizens. This is the way they treat with the guests . The hotel manager and staff gave my executive room to other guests when I did the prepaid payment online booking with the hotel citizens even a day ago. Our stay was amazing. Location of the hotel is great even though room size was small. This Propery is right on the beach. Service given by the employees and the breakfast was really good.

The staff and management were excellent. The location and security was also good, but unfortunately, the property is a little dated and dusty probably due to it’s seaside location. Overall, an okay place.

My room was not clean. Bedsheets were bit dirty and found some hair as well. So clearly it was not cleaned well. I was promised a sea view room (was told all rooms have sea view). But the view was not facing sea. From one corner of window i could see the sea in a narrow gap. Checkin took a bit of time. I went at 12:15 pm Location is a big plus. Just next to Juhu beach.

I liked that it was right on the beach. The hotel room was quite small, and we spotted a cockroach in the room. The cleanliness level was very low!

Good budget friendly hotel on the beach. Shower pressure was excellent but only issue was shower curtain which could have been better….they could have just put glass shower door considering I was told that room was recently renovated! Overall would recommend the hotel as good location right on the beach and reasonably priced. Breakfast was average but can’t complain at this price point.

Warm welcome and excellent check-in at 3.45am after an over night flight from London. Very impressive, as were the sliding glass windows and room which had been installed to protect the beach view restaurant from the strong monsoon wind and rain. The WiFi facilities still need to be improved, even though some changes have been made to install a router in each room.

Kinda dirty. Dirtier than I expected for the price. The cleaning staff needs to really clean this place up. Restaurant was okay - for breakfast. Lunch was so-so. Great location right on Juhu for 1/3 the price of fancier places. But I couldn't bring my wife here. Maybe next time I'll stay in one of their deluxe rooms, that might be nicer.

Mixed experience

The dining service need some improvement: more choice of light non-Indian food for breakfast, omelette and scrambled egg service is a waste of time as these should be prepared in advance just like all the other foods, instead of having to order it and waiting for its arrival. I ordered omelette three times and it was never delivered, quite a frustrating start for a day. The rest of the staff was very helpful. The Hotel's Internet service was also a bit unpredictable, and a few times difficult to connect to it.

Nice setting at beach with bar and restaurant facing the sea. I would suggest cutting the loud music in the bar so that customers could enjoy the beautiful natural sound of the waves. The room had a sea view but the room itself was very small. I would suggest the hotel should invest in new towels as the ones provided were rather grey and worn. Otherwise a very friendly welcoming hotel.

Small hotel on the beach in Juhu. Can have your breakfast on the terrace immediately overlooking the beach. Rooms are a bit on the small side and the bathrooms are starting to look a bit dated. Excellent water pressure and loads of hot water. Coffee and Tea making facilities provided. Helpful friendly staff.

Do not go there. Not worth the money. Breakfast is okay, but amenities are pretty bad. No proper Wi-Fi in the room. Struggled to use internet and even the bed was bad by itself

Remains a good place to stay on the beach

I have stayed here several times over the year and the Citizen remains a good place to stay. Great location, breakfast selection not huge but enough, staff very good, just maybe too many of them. Some times you cant get to the breakfast buffet because there are just too many staff in the room.

It was nice to be at the beach away from the busy city but still close to the airport ( 20 min drive early morning). I think it is a good spot for a layover stay. The staff was really friendly.

Staff Excellent however rooms are not!

This Hotel is a mixed bag. Nice reception and restaurant area but the rooms are in need of a complete refit. Staff. Excellent cannot help enough especially in the restaurant. Room. There is no such thing as an Executive room or Delux don't be fooled. It is like buying a first/business class plane ticket and being put on the isle seat next to the toilets at the back of the plane. Also the rooms are small and I was alone so not so bad but more than that it would be a struggle. In addition the bathroom is tiny. Food. Generally very good wide choice maybe too much. Location. On the beach but very run down and the adjacent properties! Well it looks like development stopped some years ago. You may be lucky enough to get a view of the part concrete structure I had. Ensure you request direct sea view or a room facing south. Wifi. When working excellent. Complicated system and different routers dotted around the hotel. Restaurant particularly weak. Drives me nuts!

Poor service, very small room

The hotel is located on the Juhu beach and so the views are beautiful. HOWEVER, the views are service provided by nature, NOT by hotel staff. Rooms are very very small, even for one person. The bathrooms are extremely small and the showers have a couple of inexpensive shower curtains. So every time you shower the entire bathroom gets wet. The beds are a painful trip hazard Everything about the room is very cheap. The bed linen, furniture, toiletries, towels...all very poorquality, not at all correlated with the price we paid! They advertise a 'bay view restaurant'. On the first day they said it is raining, so the 'bay view' is closed. They served food inside a very very tiny claustrophobic room. The hotel is supposed to have beach access but they closed it up because the floors will get wet! Second day we went to have dinner with the 'bay view'. They took us to a side alley and seated us. The main restaurant is reserved for a private party, so instead of closing off the restaurant, they seated their customers in a alley beside the hotel that smelled of toilet! We lost all our appetite! Back in the room I asked room service to send us ginger tea. They sent us normal tea. When I called them and asked, the guy had no clue. Then he said he can send ginger tea after 10-15 min. It was already past 10PM, so I told him we don't want to wait. Surprisingly, the staff was not at all apologetic for the bad service!

Quick efficient check in Very comfortable rooms great shower. Having our breakfast overlooking the beach was so amazing. Breakfast was very tasty especially made to order omelette. Service was really attentive. Great choice for lunch and evening menu meals.

Horrible hotel. Damp room and bedsheets. Very narrow corridor. Breakfast had very few options. Even though being on such a great location the rooms don't have a front sea view . Very small rooms and the bathroom is literally for dwarfs. Charges too high for what is offered. Old hotel , definitely needs a renovation. Staff is fine. Overall very disappointing .

Cheap, clean, beach front with good free breakfast

We had some problems with checking in. I had originally booked it for a Mon night check in, then changed the booking to Tuesday night...confirmed by Hotels.com. We arrived late on Tuesday night...after midnight, so technically Wednesday morning 1am. I had put a note on the booking that it would be a late check in due to flight arrival. The hotel had never received the change in dates from Hotel.com and was disputing the change. They eventually conceded, and gave us the room. Other than that snafu, which was more of Hotel.com's fault, the stay was nice. Washroom in the room is small. Breakfast buffet was very good, waitstaff was excellent. The other inconvenience was having to walk around the block to get to the beach as the door to the beach access from the hotel is kept locked to keep out non-guests. Beach is clean, not sure about the water. No locals were swimming...which I took as a sign not to go in. Hotels.com advertises a swimming pool, but saw no indication of one.

Run Down ...

When I got to my room, the room was not clean, there was cigarette butts on the floor. The AC leaked, making the floor slippery, the elevator was out of commission for a few hours every day. The Phone did not work for the first 2 hours. I was promised a room with a sea view, what I got was room, over looking a construction site. Staff were not well trained at all. Terrible terrible experience.

Food was delicious.. good breakfast. Restaurat on ground floor was amazing as it was beach side.. Restaurant on 4 floor was sub standard as it was lookin lyk normal residential terrace with halogen lights.

The staff was very gelpful. Location was great. Price of the f food was a bit high than the reataurants in tge neighborhod but food was tasty.

Awesome Property, Service and the View

Staying Bang on Juhu Beach in Mumbai is honestly a very different feeling of awesomeness !!! I have been visiting Mumbai for work since the last 6 years but never had a good hotel experience but guess that problem for me is solved for good !!!

Compact and Nice

Its a smart clean and lovely place to stay. The restaurant and bar is small and nice to dine and to meet people, it has most of the facilities.

Beach time!

Rooms are a bit small for 3 people, but the hotel is right on the beach. The staff was helpful and friendly. Will recommend this hotel if you decide to stay in the Juhu beach area.
