Spacious room in great location

Spacious and comfortable, with enough room to stretch. Separate seating, so bed doesn’t dominate. Quiet. Good to have kitchenette. Handy to restaurants & all city experiences.

An absolutely wonderful hotel. The service was great. The rooms were great. Location is awesome! Hint they do have parking on site at extra cost and EVS charging included if you book.

Citadines on Bourke is my go-to hotel in Melbourne; quiet, located within walking distance of trams, attractions, eateries. Even if one ventures out to see a show in the theatre district or goes to a jazz venue, it’s an easy walk home. Plenty of cheap and cheerful or more upmarket eats within a 10 minute walk. Beds are comfortable, rooms are spacious and well designed and cost is very reasonable.

Convenient location near centre of CBD and close to trams and trains. Good size room. Friendly staff.

The staff at this property were all excellent, but I want to give a special shoutout to Julianna. She went above and beyond to help us with transportation in the city, which for us was our biggest challenge in traveling, as we are used to just jumping in our car and going wherever we need to go.

A great downtown location with easy access to other transportation. Lots of shops and restaurants close by. Spacious rooms with a kitchenette, and a beautiful lap pool.

Beware, especially if the ‘upgrade’ offered to you in a bidding process! Rooms not as advertised. Cleanliness not a priority in communal areas.

Everything was pretty much good except the wifi was crap, kept on going in and out but probably because I was on the 21st floor. I did not receive any VIP treatment even though mentioned it at reception area. I would stay here again, it is very convenient with tram stop outside and shops and restaurants nearby.

Maybe it's a personal thing but I hate it when hotels marry me off...nowhere do I write Mrs but always get called by it. That aside, the fitness centre was well equipped, rooms spacious and comfortable. Lifts fast and plenty which makes a nice change. Safe luggage storage. Would definitely stay again.

Great central hotel and good customer service. But ive never recieved an upgrade or the bottle of wine as part of being a gold expedia member.

Good stay. Didn't look as big or luxurious as the pictures. Didn't get the welcome bottle of wine offered on arrival but the gave it to us later when we let them know. Very comfortable bed.

I recently stayed at Citadines Bourke Street, and I was thoroughly impressed! The cleanliness of the property was outstanding; every corner was spotless, making the stay incredibly comfortable and stress-free. Great friendly service. Comfy bed and clean and tidy. Reasonably priced. Room was a bit tired and in need of an update of paint and soft furnishings

The property has a very budget and rough finish. All rooms on one side look at a concrete wall, no view whatsoever for all 25 floors. We asked to pay to upgrade to a room with a view but they wouldn’t allow it, even though we were told they had rooms available. House keeping only came once during our 5 day stay. Location is a bit far out of the way from everything, however there is a tram stop right outside that is useful. It was quiet on the 24th floor.

The Good: Clean and well presented room. Fridge on and cold. Easy check in and check out. Well laid out rooms. Good location in city The Not So Good: Air con turned off middle of the night. Bed too soft and dipped in the middle, felt like I was sleeping in a hammock. No lights on when we arrived, room was dark and very un-inviting. No minibar, no views and very simple, ‘no-frills’ facilities

Good location and very quiet but… Grout in shower needed a good clean, room was dark no natural light, vote was a concrete wall, air con wasn’t very effective and lifts were very slow and unreliable

Nice hotel in the heart of the city. Travelling with a friend and although they couldn't provide a room with twin beds as they were fully booked, they provided a very comfy roll out bed at no extra cost. Friendly and helpful staff.

Was disappointed with servicing of room. Was told not provided unless requested, so requested but one towel and 2 teabags left. No rubbish removal or bed made

Super convenient location right next to Chinatown and Bourke street mall. Room size is generous however the wear and tear us noticeable around the hotel.

Good location, great staff. They didn’t have the twin beds set up, as I requested when I made the booking, but a member of the staff came quickly and set up another bed at no extra cost. Gym is nice, sauna needs to be hotter.

Stayed for one night. Room was clean and quiet and as was described. Parking was easy and posed no hassles. The area around Burke st has undergone a bit of a renaissance in regards to dinning so there were plenty of food options nearby. I would definitely stay again.

Originally I was in a room with 2 small beds but it was rectified and overall it was a positive experience once my room was changed. It was close to groceries and restaurants so that was good.

The kitchen facilities, pool & gym were brilliant. & location in the city was perfect for my interests.

Great location and all thing were great but the bed moved everytime my daughter rolled over - it was a king’s size and just mum and daughter trio so thought it would be fine but the mattress hadn’t any partner disturbance and we both had an awful sleep!😴

Good location for anyone travelling for business - close to shops and restaurants, close to tram station.

The hotel is in a great location. The carpets were poorly cleaned and maintained. There were 2 lifts that were not operational. 1 lift that was functional broke with passengers stuck inside. The one cleaner was oversubscribed and could not clean all of the rooms daily.

Booked this hotel for my partner who had an extended stay for a conference. He enjoyed the gym and pool facilities which were convenient and well maintained.

Great location, wonderful staff, clean spacious room, edgy feel

Friendly receptionist. I found some hair around the drain in the bathroom.

Guest services did their best to help. The temp control in the room could not be altered. The fridge froze everything and couldn't be altered. The safe initially had a flat battery which was replaced but then the inside of the safe door fell off. A shelf in the bathroom mirror cabinet fell out. The shower controls didnt function and water not hot enough until the toilet was flushed. The carpet was thread bare and the room was filthy.

Great room mini studio apartment so it was really good. The sauna was also good restaurants nearby trams right out the front. Everything close by friendly staff easy check in and check out will be staying there again.

Clean and convenient. I have never received the “VIP benefits” in this case a room upgrade and a bottle of wine. Not sure why Expedia continues to advertise this and never deliver. The hotel itself though was the perfect place to sleep after seeing a concert at the forum.

Found that once inside the room it was very quiet and felt very rested after my 2 night stay. The location was great as it was close to everything that I needed. Must say the bed was just so comfortable! I would stay here again.

Poor property condition, excellent service

Hard to give this review because the service, communication and booking experience was amazing but the property itself fell short. Dusty rooms, dirty cupboards, worst of all, a toilet that flooded every time we showered. The water leaked and flooded the entire bathroom. Sink was not able to drain water properly - overall seemed this property needs to be renovated / maintained better. Walls were very thin - can here everything through the rooms (even from next door)

Sadly, I'd give it a miss.

I booked a room with 2 single beds. We were supposed to have an early check in and explained we needed it as my friend was having an important meeting with her legal team. The room wasn't ready and when my friend eventually got into the room, she found a double bed! She explained that I had booked 2 single beds so they bought in a fold up single bed. It was uncomfortable and didn't leave much room to get around. I have a walker. There was no apology and no discount for their muck up. It is a beautiful, excellently placed property but sadly has incompetant staff.

Won’t come back!

Arrived to given the wrong room configuration. I was told they had a ‘glitch’ in the system, they could not give me another room. They offered a portable bed at $50 per night. I declined to pay it. Then was offered ‘let’s go halves and pay $25’. What the hell, they want me to pay for their glitch?? I declined and was then given a bed at no cost. Room was comfy enough although the tv was initially in Chinese. Glassware had lip marks all around the edges. We received No ‘hotels vip offers’ and none was communicated like free bottle of wine or late check out. Overall would not go back.

I have stayed her many times over the years with my previous job ~ the overall service has slipped ~ we were put in a room for someone that had a disability - coul not stand upright in the shower to wash hair as shower head low for someone in a wheel chair - there was a fire alarm went off on one of the nights - guests had no idea what to do ~ many used the lifts instead of fire stairs or stated in their rooms when it was announced to evacuate . There used to be folders with information ~ our paper work said we had a king bed when we booked we had a queen bed - cleaners didn’t come and empty rubbish in our room when we were there - toilet paper supplies not replenished - overall very disappointing- the standard of service has definitely slipped . Will stay somewhere else next time for the amount we paid

Staff were very professional, pleasant and helpful. Our room was modern and spacious, beds very comfortable but the walls/touch points in room and around hotel require cleaning/detailing.

The property is conveniently located in central Melbourne with a tram stop right outside the front door, train station a short walk away, China Town one street over and restaurants very close by. Staff were friendly and check in was quick and easy. We requested a quiet room and that's what we got; away from the lift and near the end of a corridor. Housekeeping is not daily, but that suited us.

Modern clean and central

Central location with lots of restaurants and theatres around. Hotel was clean and spacious but no crockery even though there was a kitchenette with hot plates and dishwasher. TV picture was fuzzy but we went out anyway so not an issue for us. Friendly and efficient checkin and express check out was good. No restaurant so no breakfast available but would stay again

My sister and I stayed last weekend. I chose this place because we had stayed here before and enjoyed it. We saw Beauty and Beast and it was just a 5 min walk around the corner. I would stay again based on location. Thanks again for everything. See you next time. Karen

Shower was amazing like have a massage and heat pack all at once Bed comfy although not very well made by staff. Overall a great place to say and very convenient
