Wow .. an incredible experience and location

Incredible setting over Gordon’s Bay. Fantastic service and hospitality. So many small details and exceptional quality, the sheets, the bathroom amenities, books galore, honesty bar and the best breakfast experience. I wish we’d stayed longer!

Overlooking Gordon's Bay, the Chocolate Box is a paradise in which to relax and unwind. The room was fantastic with all the mod cons you could need. They even have cooking facilities and a DVD library should you want a night in. We just loved it here, the hospitality is incredible and breakfast out of this world! Thank you so much for a perfect stay.

CHOCLATE BOX DECADENCE!

EXCELLENT Atay. My 2nd trip to Chocolate Box- Felt like going home. Absolutely loved the sublime decadence of the place. Will definitely go back. This is one experience I would recommend. LOVE personified!

Great location, great hotel, great staff

We spent four nights at the Chocolate Box after Two Oceans and was pleasantly surprised at the proximity to the Helderberg and its wine farms and restaurants. The staff were super friendly and treated us like family. The views and sunsets were to die for and the rooms large, well maintained and very comfortable.

Chocolate delight

Olaf and his team are fantastic, so welcoming and very knowledgeable about the local area. The breakfast offers juices, coffees and teas, cheese and bread selection, cereal, and a menu for eggs and other hot items. The location is great, with an amazing view of the bay, and fantastic as a base for exploring along the coast road in either direction. Olaf suggested some amazing restaurants and vineyards to visit. I'll definitely be staying there next time I visit South Africa! Much more welcoming than a hotel but with all the same facilities.

What a gem!

What a fantastic experience. Olaf and Bernadette were fascinatingly helpful. The room opens into the the gardens and the view of the mountains and the bay. The custom breakfast was spectacular and sumptuous, with a side of fresh local fruits. Olaf got us a fabulous degustation reservation at Waterkloolf. In short, the area, the cuisine, the hospitality were all top-notch.

Ideally placed to explore the surrounding area. The owners were very welcoming and attentive to guests needs. Accommodation was elegantly contemporary yet calm and comfortable. Breakfast particularly good. Bernadette , Brad and Olaf work hard to ensure you have the best possible experience as their guests. No hesitation in recommending.

Cocoa powdered perfection

Very welcoming and friendly staff. Lovely views over Gordon's Bay with a well laid out deck. Super breakfast with good variety including homemade muesli and Brad's award winning muffins. Will be back

Fantastic guesthouse with a very warm welcome from our hosts and amazing breakfast Lots of useful information about the local area This hotel is a great base to explore Stellenbosch and the wine region Many thoughtful touches in the rooms Artistic decor Locally sourced products/toiletries etc Well stocked honesty bar Our only regret? We were only able to stay 1 night

Beautiful views

Stayed our last night in Cape Town. This place is beautiful, clean and updated with a cute modern feel. The owners were beyond welcoming, perfect.. close to many places to eat and watch sunset. It was to windy to enjoy the pool and the balcony.. we left early to catch our flight home, so we missed out on breakfast, but we were left some yummy fresh fruit and yougart..a real nice surprise. The homemade truffles were delicious, as well as the candy bowls.. Super happy with stay, thanks guys.. highly recommended..

We loved our stay. Brad and Oloff were lovely hosts and saw to our every need. I've already raved about it to friends and family. My friends indicated that she considered it a great hen party location :-)

You will not be disappointed with any element of your stay here! Gorgeous decor throughout the property, extremely comfortable and stylish rooms, superb hosts, amazing views and generally a product you would expect from a high end boutique hotel! You won't need lunch after their breakfast either!

Beautiful guest house with lots of nice little extras. The hosts were friendly and helpful and served a delicious freshly cooked breakfast with plenty of choice.

Gorgeous interior decorators dream B & B

You feel like you have just stepped into a home designer show place when you enter this lovely hotel. It is brand new and in a Safe neighborhood. Easy access to everything. Excellent service from our wonderful hosts Brad and Olaf. Unexpected treasure that is close to airport, hermanus, wine country - you do need a car. Spectacular views! We loved the sunsets! The breakfast was to die for!! You have to have one of Olaf's omlettes - best ever! Our hosts gave us the best suggestions of where to go - wineries, restaurants, site seeing. You must stay here if you are in S Africa! Brad and Olaf are so warm and hospitable - they made our trip!!
