Absouloutly love this boutique hotel. Very convenient to explore museums and other attraction in Madrid. So many dining options to chose. The hotel is very chic very clean also. I definitely recommend it!

Great, convenient place to stay in Madrid. Nothing fancy but it was perfectly fine for our 3 night stay. Any time there was an issue and we mentioned it to staff, they took care of it right away. Sabrina at the front desk was very helpful and helped us check in early.

At first, the red walls and the red neon room sign caused me rejection. But once inside the room, I found it clean and spacious. I was in room 501. It has a balcony and high ceilings. The bathroom was nice in the shower outstanding I will definitely be back.

Room temperature was too warm, they locked the air-con temperature only providing heat, you are no choice to switch off during the stay(October). But no ventilation unless you open the balcony door, but it was too noisy and didn’t feel safe when you sleeping at night.

Great hotel in central location

The location of the hotel was perfect. We were right in the centre, with all of the amenities you need on your doorstep. Only 20-30 minute walk to the museums and galleries. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful and welcoming. We would definitely stay here again.

We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Chic & Basic Dot. It was in the heart of Madrid, very near Plaza Mayor and the Metro station to get anywhere in this big city.

We only stayed for one night, but we were delighted! The staff was so friendly and welcoming. David took the time to help us find our way around Madrid and gave great suggestions. Our room was clean, comfortable, and modern. The hotel is in a great location. We highly recommend this hotel.

1st time Madrid tourist

Overall, it was a good experience as a European hotel. I think adding some little items help the guests to relax in the room (like providing a small coffee maker, some teabags ) BTW, the patio light and telephone didn't work in our roo. 🙃 😑

The property was in an excellent location. The room was very nice and clean. The front desk staff were awesome. They were able to provide specific accurate directions to where we wanted to go. I highly recommend this property.

Hotel has the best location, nice rooms, and awesome staff. 5 min walk to La Plaza Mayor, and Puerta del Sol, and La Gran Via.

Hot water was a problem since in the middle of the shower you will get cold water and then hot again. My night light did not work. Other than that, the location was great, close to many restaurants and shops

I didn’t like the bright lights and dark environment. My room was not clean and air conditioning didn’t work.

We only stayed here for a night, but had a great experience. The hotel is small but really cute, and the staff is friendly. Decor is cute and modern. Rooms are small, but clean and comfortable.... and quiet! So, all-in-all we really liked it and would stay there again if making a quick stop in Madrid. And another plus: easy access to airport via Cercanías trains.

Friendly staff, clean quiet room

The hotel was a vibe, the styling was amazing. The staff were so friendly and helpful, even the breakfast was a revelation - we were not expecting to like it but loved it! The location is perfect, so much to see and do within walking distance too, also close to all major transport links.

Great location, friendly staff

We stayed here for 4 nights and it was lovely! Small room but it had everything we needed. We felt very safe in the area and its close distance to basically anywhere we went. The restaurant attached to the hotel was very good as well. The only thing is that the walls are very thin but nothing earplugs couldn’t fix. Overall a great experience and would recommend to anyone staying in Madrid.

It’s in the center of the shopping district so it’s expected to hear folks passing by since we had a terrace too. David (reception) is the best. Helpful and very kind. Highly recommend the place

Modern hotel in central location

The hotel was very clean and it looked updated. The room was small but we had a beautiful garden. It is perfectly located. We loved our stay.

Dated, bad smell, broken fixtures, good location

Dated motel, many things are broken or not working such as doors, closet doors, also shower drain clogged, never fixed. The paint decoration is super dark and gloomy. Musty smell in the room. No desk or chair, no hot water kettle in room. The only plus is the location which is very central. Pillows were not comfortable. No breakfast included. Poor experience.

Perfect place in center of Madrid

Great place and value for money in the center of Madrid. Friendly service, comfortable and spacious room and bathroom (it was designed for a disabled person). The shower tended to flood the bathroom a little if showering for too long. Breakfast was served in the eatery next door, which was fine, but started only from 8:00 which was rather late.

Property located in busy shopping area, but just off the main drag. We enjoyed a quiet night-there aren’t bars or restaurants in the immediate area. Easy walk to metro stop, shopping, Puerta del Sol, Plaza Mayor. Clean room, good AC! Easy check in, friendly and helpful staff.

Buena ubicacion.

Dirty bathroom, toilet wasn't clean when I checked in. Sink was clogged. Flooring was dirty stained.

Great location unfortunately don’t stay on 2nd floor. Shopping store with lots music from 10a-10p The car and garbage pick up through out the night. So 2nd floor is bad. Otherwise convenient to all atresctions

I liked the property and was glad too hear they upgraded my room. It was just what we needed for two nights in Madrid. The room was clean, comfortable bed and it had space to hang out clothes. The shower had warm water and I enjoyed using the hand wand instead of the main shower head when I didn't want to get my hair wet. The front desk employees were friendly and helped give us some local dinner options also. I enjoyed the bottle of water our room had since we forgot to buy extra water for the room. I would recommend and also return to stay again.

Centrally located near Puerto Del Sol. Clean and comfortable room that was perfect for me and my wife. I saw other review about the shower arrangement, the shower is around the corner from the bedroom but there is no door to close if noise or privacy is an issue for you. It wasn’t for us but be aware.

I am a solo female traveler. The Chic&Dot was easy, safe, and clean. The staff is incredibly friendly, speaks English, and makes everything so smooth. The location is perfect to explore Madrid. You can walk everywhere.

Friendly and helpful staff. Great central location. Our room was spacious. Breakfast hours (8-10) and offerings were very limited. Also, the restaurant uses sweetener in place of sugar so we did not enjoy our coffee or baked goods.

Basic amenities overall - but clean with amazing staff. Every staff member was thoughtful and informative. Location was great - just a bit tricky to get to due to road restrictions but wasy enough to get to with proper directions. Only criticism is no body lotion, facial tissues or wash cloths provided.

A good and modern option in a very central location. Lots of shops and attractions nearby but VERY touristy and busy so nights can be noisy. Comfortable and clean (but small) room and bed was fine. Shower temp was bit inconsistent but internet was strong, there's a lift in the building, and a cafe next door.
