Great location and friendly staff. You can hear the planes fly over as it’s near the airport, but found out room was quiet otherwise.
Very good location and access to the beach very family oriented and friendly
Well located hotel
Good location in Chaweng district close from restaurants, mall etc… Good point for the charming reception: a local drink & sweet cake were very welcomed. The hotel was good but the room was very humid though. Not nice to get disturbed by the smokers around the pools, I think they should prevent people from smoking around or in the pool (authorized in the pool bar). Breakfast was just ok. Too bad that the front beach has no beach but you can always swim there when there’s no rough sea.
I had a great stay at chaweng regent resort, the service was outstanding. May, the manager, was especially helpful and made our experience memorable. Highly recommend this hotel!
Very noisy and low value for money
The hotel is located right near the airport and the plains are flying right above the hotel. The departing plains woke us every morning. It is not highly maintained. the deck is not in a good shape. We also had multiple power outages during the nights, so the lights and the air condition stopped working and when the electricity turned on, it created noice that woke us uo (not to mention the heat without aire condition). Find a hotel that is not right under the plain route - 300m will be ok. This hotel is low value for the money
Good hotel. Staff friendly and helpful. Room clean. Good size bathroom. Nice balcony overlooking the pool. Two good sized pools. Beach good. A little rocky at low tide. Can be noisy at night due to beach bar a few doors up,
Great position and very helpful and friendly staff.
Location is great, staff are very helpful and go out of their way to help you. Room is spacious and nice. Breakfast was good as well. Directly on the beach. Downside near the airport and near by clubbing in the a.m. woke me up twice.
Very disappointed with the stay. Booked based on the pictures which don’t reflect the reality. Hotel is in a very busy area. We paid a premium price so expected the price to match what we paid for. We paid £1200 for 9 nights from 24th June to 3rd July. We checked out some of the hotels nearby to compare. We could have stayed at Elephant Beach Club & Resort or Ark Beach Club & resort for only £500 for 9 nights. Those also looked more modern. So definitely Chaweng Regent is over charging. As another comparison we went and checked out the Hyatt Regency as well which is a 5 star hotel. That hotel is in a more quieter place and the 9 night stay would have cost only £1700 which is more worth it. I’m very disappointed about the price paid vs quality of the hotel. This hotel should be in the same price range as Elephant Beach Club & Resort or Ark Beach Club & resort which are only 3 star hotels.
Good property but below standard service
Excellent location on the beach, quiet but central with loads to walk to. It’s an older hotel but well maintained. Staff weren’t amazing. My room was only cleaned every couple of days. Reception take a deposit to cover extras but say this will take 2-3 weeks to be refunded after check out - why every other hotel in the world does this within a couple of days. On check out I was told to wait 10 minutes whilst they send someone to check the room! I walked off at this.
Excellent location, great for families with a superb pool and on the beach
Worth a visit
Good hotel but a bit tired looking. Great place to relax, attached to beech and walking distance to local venues.
The Chaweng Regent Beach Resort is an excellent choice for accommodation in Samui. Close to all activities in Chaweng Beach and plenty of dining and bar choices. The property itself is very neat and well maintained. The staff were fantastic and very helpful. Unfortunately the main pool was under renovation during our stay but was close to being completed. Breakfast had a great choice of different foods. We would thoroughly recommend a stay at this hotel and we will stay again when we return to Samui.
Directly on the beach in downtown Cheweng. Staff were amazing and so accomodating. Room was sizeable and super clean. Air Con was fabulous. Bed was very comfortable. One pool was out due to storm repairs but the other pool was available as well as the beach. In return they provided a buffet lunch for the inconvenience. Would I stay again? Absolutely I would and would also recommend to family and friends.
Friendly and helpful staff. Location to things was good.
Great position and nicely presented overall.
At check-in, our room didn’t match the photos that we had booked, which was frustrating and not a great start to the trip. The manager, May, did an excellent job of finding a solution for us, which we highly appreciated. She was definitely the saving grace. But I wouldn’t come back or recommend the hotel. For the money we paid VS what we actually got, it was a let down compared to the rest of our trip/ hotels that we stayed at. Front desk staff were “hot and cold”. Some were helpful, others looked miserable. The property itself is quite big, which is nice, but the pool areas always felt a bit over-crowded. Breakfast was average at best, and at 750 THB p/person, not worth it. The beach access was nice, it’s great if you have kids as the property backs into a lagoon. Overall, I feel the hotel is overpriced for what you get and I’d strongly encourage others to shop around
Great location in central Samui, walking distance to all the markets. The room was clean and spacious with an amazing view of the beach front. They also upgraded our room which was a bonus. Staff were friendly.
Employees are the issue at this property specifically the front desk
Beautiful grounds , clean and friendly staff
Absolutely wonderful place to stay! Our room was spacious, steps to the beach, both property pools, and the restaurant. The property has wonderful walking paths through lush vegetation and the koi ponds are terrific water features. There is a small but very functional gym and many relaxing settings to kick back and relax. This hotel exceeded our expectations and we will definitely be booking again for our next Koh Samui trip.
Very good hotel
My Prents happy place
The whole resort, staff, management are Amazing. This is our go to venue in Samui, indivuals like May & Yao will go above and beyond to accommodate.
Good breakfast clean nice grounds all good
Friendly staff, clean facilities
Every thing was excellent 👍
Hotel is very clean. Staff very happy and helpful.
We had a deluxe beach view room and it was lovely waking up to the sound of the ocean. Staff are brilliant and property itself is lovely. The only (minor) negatives are that the bars close at 2300 - even an extension to 0000 would have been nice. Also, the last shuttle into Chaweng beach is at 1900. Again, if that ran a little later, that would be great. You can walk into Chaweng in about 15-20mins though. Food was very good and beds very comfortable.
I have been staying here many times in the past years, this is the most memorable and exciting one that I experienced
Great resort - the staff are very attentive and helpful and made our stay relaxing. While all staff were excellent, F was particularly friendly and made our stay memorable. Great team at Chaweng Regent! Thank-you!
Absolutely beautiful; great central location; staff were incredible. The room was well appointed. Breakfast was wonderful!!
Great location and friendly staff.
Go elsewhere
Very disappointing for so many reasons, mainly a total lack of customer service. There are far better hotels in Chaweng in this price bracket.
Very friendly staffs, excellent, quiet but centric location. Some of electric outlet were loose. Can be improved.
I booked the Premier Room, it is huge but they did not good use of the space, so the whole room feels big and empty (didnt sleep well for the first 2 nights because of mosquitos). suggest to book the normal room instead. did not receive discount on F&B too. overall still recommend this hotel because of location and efficient staffs
Had a great 8 night stay at the Chaweng Regent. Area is great, probably best area of Samui to stay IMO, lots to do as well as lots of restaurants and shopping nearby. Staff where excellent. Breakfast buffet was great and they make a good coffee. Pools are excellent, property is also right on the beach. Rooms where very clean and property well maintained. I was lucky enough to get an upgrade to the Royal Suite which is spectacular. Highly recommend this property. Enjoyed every minute there.
Would love to stay here again
10 out of 10 would stay again. We had one of the new beach villas with ocean an ocean view. It was spectacular.
Great place to stay with kids, clean , nice pool and beach access. Right in town so you can walk to shops and restaurants.
The resort is very well located in the heart of the shopping and dining area of the island, The rooms are a little bit outdated but very well maintained and set up, Breakfast is something which needs a lot of improvement towards the Western taste. Overall an excellent place to sleep in, with perfect staff service.
Resort was very nice and staff go above and beyond to make your stay there. Also the AC in my room when i arrive didn't work and Pam (manager on duty) sorted the problem and changed the room and upgraded the room for the inconvenience caused.
Very uncomfortable bed and pillows, had to get different pillows 2 days in as sore neck and shoulders . Resort directly under flight pass to airport!!!
Great property, small, nice and quiet, great pool and beach out front is beautiful. The staff is incredible and “Choke”’at the Front desk was simply amazing, so helpful. We went to the Hyatt Regency after, amazing property, but over all, we prefer the Regent Chaweng….
The property is well maintained with excellent facilities. Lovely pool area and an adequate gym. The staff were all lovely, friendly and efficient. The beach area in front of the hotel is clean and safe for swimming. My spa villa was very comfortable, clean and functional. Located in a lovely garden setting. Highly recommended.
One of the best and most beautiful resorts in Chaweng with excellent service
Helpful friendly staff. Went out of their way to enable a late checkout which made the final day of our stay before a late flight home much more enjoyable.
Lovely holiday. Resort and room getting a bit dated but still a lovely experience
Beautiful Hotel Staffs are friendly Easy access to restaurants and shopping area We've got an upgrade to Melati Beach and Spa Resort added value to our trip
Good stay but definitely not a 5*
I enjoyed my stay with this hotel. It’s definitely not a 5 star. I would say 3.5 stars. It’s really dated and desperate need of renovations. There are a lot of mosquitoes around, I was bite around 16 times in 2 days…. Positives is that it is so close to everything party. I ate it the resort restaurant a couple of times and really enjoyed the food. I wouldn’t return mainly because too many mosquitos.
The Staff Member / Manager lied to my face about the room above my spa sweet being booked out. Not only did I find it available on numerous site including the hotel's own site another manager late that night confirmed it was not booked for the duration of my dates booked. Unethical and unprofessional
be aware!!!!!!
the resort itself is very nice. and the service is good as well. but: 1. the room is not fully clean especially when you found mold in the shower. 2. the hotel decided to charge the full amount 2 weeks before our arrival. despite our agreement with hotel.com that the charge will be at the hotel. 3. at the check out the hotel try to charge us for ticket from different room with forge our signature. (we have picture of the receipt). 4. the hotel take 4000 baht deposit at check in which is way over other hotels charge. 5. the hotel don't have business center.
Overall, it was an excellent experience
Nice hotel, but jacuzzi in bedroom is open to the outside and was infested with bugs. So we couldn’t use it.
Good location on the main, commercial Chaweng drag with many dining and shopping options. Hotel is composed of villas and small buildings within a green tropical garden. Wear and tear caused by COVID inactivity is visible but not significant and easy to ignore.Hotel has an appealing low key, casual vibe. One thing to be aware of is that the beach in front of hotel is practically non-existent for most of the day due to erosion and high tide. In late afternoon when sea level recedes it starts connecting to adjacent, walkable stretch of Chaweng beach.
This is a nice property. There is a lot of action nearby. That’s why I choose this place. Plus it’s a nice quiet sleep. Breakfast is great too. Coffee well it’s Thai coffee and it’s good. Food is really good too as I had dinner 4 times, but expensive. It’s good to eat out too. Don’t buy the hotel discount prepay deal. You’ll find you stay in the hotel eating their food. Would I go back? Yes. Oh I received an ear infection because I was swimming a lot. At the Bangkok airport I dropped by boots and was given antibiotics. Was better the next morning. Was shocked I healed so quickly.
Nice
Excellent position. Restaurants, bars and markets right outside resort. A good selection for breakfast. The two pool areas have plenty of lounges. Plus there are lounges on the beach where the water is very calm. Would definitely stay again.
Beautiful. Friendly staff. Excellent location. Clean, spacious and well appointed rooms. Very welcoming
Wonderful experience
I enjoyed the stay overall. The location is perfect in the middle of everything, the food was great, and although the property is dated, it is well maintained with a feel of being in nature. Staff response was inconsistent, as some were wonderful and attentive while others were lacking and not as friendly, maybe refresher training is needed. As I said, overall it was a lovely stay, and I will go again with my partner for vacation.
מלון מעולה
The property is lovely and close to lots of restaurants. It’s a bit of an oasis in an otherwise bustling area of Koh Samui. Our room was quiet and peaceful. The breakfasts were great. Highly recommend.
Noise level
Everything was good but it noisy at night times.
My 2nd time here. Used to have hostess greeting and bringing you to seats for breakfast. No more. Also, have to ask for coffee, no offer from servers.
Best Position for a Hotel in Chaweng post Covid
Chaweng Regent Beach Resort is probably the best situated Hotel in the Post Covid Chaweng. Around the Hotel, most of the shops and restaurants are open (some old favourites in the same place, others moved to smaller premises). Towards the ends of Chaweng the devastation is more prominent, with lots of shops currently still closed, so we were very lucky to be staying here. Position, position , position. It is clear that the two years without income has taken its toll on the hotel and that it will take time to restore to its original glory. Income can now be spent on regenerating and getting back on its feet. It remains a great stay, with good rooms, clean, proper breakfast and affordable. One thing that MUST change is the music at the swimming pool. The same music for 5 days in a row, over and over, will grind your nerves in the end.
The receptionists was not friendly. The water tank is the washroom was busted.
Great place to stay
Hotel: The hotel is located at chaweng Beach and it looks like they used the last year to do a lot of renovation. Room: Our room was upgraded and we were staying right next to the pool with outdoor jacuzzi. Pool: The pool itself is not that big and honestly it should be cleaned a bit more often. But I guess during covid and lack of hotel guests that was not really an priority at that time. Breakfast: The breakfast was a la card and fullfilled our needs. As short term guests of just a few days more than sufficient. However in my opinion, if you stay longer it will get pretty boring. But again, I assume that this is temporary because lack of hotel guests and they usually would have a breakfast buffet?! Staff: Just amazing. Everyone was so kind and helpful with all our needs. I couldn't ask for anything more. Thank all of you for an outstanding service.
It is right by the beach, with beautiful fine sand. There were very little waves during low tide due to a wall of rocks in the distance, which was perfect beach swimming conditions for our small kids. They enjoyed playing by the beach. The resort also has pools for toddlers, kids, and grown ups. They have a restaurant near the beach, and can serve you while you’re lounging on the beach. Only Not all of the food on the menu were available, and wifi wa
Melati Beach Resort/Chaweng Regent Resort
The Melati Beach Resort, (where I stayed because the related property, the Chaweng Regent Beach Resort, was closed), was great. The staff were friendly and helpful, the food was good, and the facilities were clean and well maintained. I would definitely stay there again and recommend it to others.
Great hotel very helpful and friendly staff ideal for beach and shops right outside hotel with plenty of restaurants
The property is nice and clean, it has its own beach access and has a nice restaurant and spa. Buffet breakfast had many choices from American, traditional and cheese/fruit, omelette station. We stayed in a Premier room. It was comfortable but not as they claim 5-star rooms. The area of Chewang Beach is a busy part so if you’re looking for a peaceful and serene property, it’s not the place to be. However, we spoke to the restaurant’s manager and he had the front office manager talk to us. They offered us to spend the next day or two at their sister’s property called Melati Beach Resort, and we spent the next two days there. The shuttle van was free and it’s about 20-25 minutes ride. We left at 1:30 pm then back to Chewang Regent by 9:30 pm, taking their 9 pm shuttle van. For this, I would give them 5 stars!
The staff were exceptionally helpful whenever I had a problem. The maids cleaned thoroughly every day. The pool was always clean and though we have stayed in 5 star hotels. The Chaweng Regent was just as good . If I had one issue. It is that with the hotel and sun beds so close to the sea. You can be constantly bothered by people selling stuff on the beach. Loved our stay .Thank you for all your help, front desk staff
Very clean, good location, nice staff, and I loved everything about the hotel. Highly recommended for future stay in Koh Samui
Great resort in a great location. On one side you have a spectacular beach on the other side an active dining and shopping area. People are very friendly, and they are easy to communicate with. English was spoken everywhere we went. It is a safe area to move about in and an excellent choice for experiencing Thailand.
The property was so beautiful and we loved the staff + service!
We loved our room - in front of the pool - main level which I believe is an upgraded room. The room was immaculate and the bathroom was stunning. Front desk staff was fine. There was a loose plank on the walkway in front of our room. Another guest tripped and hurt himself and despite a maintenance person and security guard witnessing, they did not repair it. It was not fixed until the next morning when my husband went to the front desk and asked for it to be fixed asap before someone else was hurt. The breakfast buffet was fantastic with lots of selections. We would absolutely stay here again in the same type of room - or better.
The whole place was fantastic. From check in the check out it was enjoyable. So much so we will definitely come back soon.
Difficult communication
The staff has to improve their English language proficiency since it is very difficult to communicate with them.
Good resort
Overall a nice resort. Service was friendly at most areas. Pillows are super uncomfortable in my opinion. I liked the modern and big bathrooms however bath water is yellow. The resort has two pools. The back pool service is very average. They also don't provide any towels so you always have to go to the other pool to get some. Location is great though. The beach is average and nicer if you walk further down the beach. Whilst room service was good we had to call several times for towels as they did not restock them. Overall a good place to stay though.
Friendly staff. Perfect location close to everything.
Great hotel. Beautiful landscape, right on water, breakfast buffet/restaurant right on water. I like that it's a very serene & peaceful hotel, but it's still close to everything as it's on a main street next to shops, restaurants, massage places etc.
The location is the best feature of this property. The high tides and swell make it unsafe for small children this time of year and the Regent has a natural reef to protect the beach.
Not as good as expected.
When checking in we were not told portions of the hotel were undergoing renovations. Main dinner restaurant closed as under renovations and when you sit in the one beside the beach you get to listen to power saws and nailers. Doors to patio had large gaps so bugs had free entry. Overall was not as pressed and previous reviews led me to expect!
great property, very clean and well maintained. in room hot tub had dirty water though so I refused to use it.
Lovely place
Place was nice, but for how much you’re paying you’d expect more. Beautiful pool and right on beach. But you can get a better bang for your buck at a nearby hotel
I love everything about this place the locations fantastic the staff are very accommodating and very helpful the facility is nice clean., highly recommend this place to everyone.. Definitely staying here again once I come back to Koh Samui
Excellent service, extremely friendly staff, beautiful grounds, centrally located, breakfast is terrific, view and access to chewang beach is fantastic. This was our 5th time at the resort, it gets better every time!!! Will definitely be back
Central, beautiful accommodations, friendly staff, 4th visit, will definitely stay again
We have stayed here before and loved it, the service is fantastic. Unfortunately this time our room (which looked beautiful) caused a lot of mould to start growing on our clothes and on our return both of us were quite sick. I don’t think the other rooms would have this problem.
The location and the ambience inside the resort made us feel very comfortable and a paradise like vacation. We enjoyed the access to the beach and the food was excellent, the dancing show was reallly nice! The room was cozy and pretty. We would stay there again!
Unique? Nothing unique about the place. Food not so good. Not much privacy in most of the rooms.
Great place in the middle of the Chaweng beach. It is close to everything you need. The hotel is very comfi. Nice rooms. Great staff. Two nice pools and most importantly right on the beach.
Great resort
This resort was very nice and the service was great. Compared to all the other resorts on the Island this one was great. I would return to this resort without a doubt.
We had an amazing time, the staff was very friendly.
The location was excellent, nice property ,pool and beach area
We can never fault this property. It’s our 4th stay here and the staff are friendly, restaurant food is amazing and breakfasts huge and varied. Rooms are comfy and kept very clean with good options from standard to more spacious with spa etc. location on the beach, not a great one but just a 5 minute walk to deeper blue waters. Love our stay always.
Quality hotel. Rooms excellent. Good location. Staff extremely friendly and helpful but limited English caused a few minor difficulties.
Excellent location and the room was clean and spacious
This property is Very Sweet and Peaceful, very Zen.
Sprawling green oasis with luxurious grand premier room. Garden pool had an enchanted feel to it. Wish the property had a more conventional beach (with waves).
An average stay
Bad hotel blood stained sheets, power problems, asked for early check in didn't get that jus some where u would never visit again
This time over 20 years we've stayed at this property and it never disappoints. Upgraded for new year to a beach front villa and it was worth every cent.
