Perfect in every way, like a second home.

Staying at Charlotte Street is a home away from home, as a Firmdale property the style and amenities are top notch and the staff is excellent. 10 out of 10 as always.

Whenever I’m in London, this is where I stay. Excellent hotel. Bustling restaurant and hotel lobby but once in your room it’s silent. Amazing acoustics in terms of noise. Super cozy and great breakfast. Highly recommend!

A charming hotel! I plan to tell all my American friends about this gem of a hotel.

Staff in restaurant was terrible rude. Even though staying in hotel we were not worthy to sit in the empty restaurant for a drink. I assume he runs the restaurant to maximize personal tips and I needed to give him £20 to sit in a restaurant at 1730 for a quick drink with my wife I complained to front desk and it drew blank looks. Assume they don't care so much. Also no coffee in room or common area, must go to restaurant and pay £5 for a cup. Owners apparently don't like coffee (weird). Rooms are heavily perfumed as are all toiletries. Avoid!

This is a great little luxury hotel with lots of character and individually beautifully decorated rooms. It's super comfortable and welcoming with helpful, knowledgeable staff. There are lots of excellent restaurants in the area. Great stay even if too brief.

The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. They make you feel important and ask about your day. The food is delicious . The rooms are creatively and beautifully decorated. It is a treat and complete pleasure to stay there.

It’s a beautiful, immaculate hotel and the staff was polite, engaging and helpful. I can’t wait to return. I’m an American and visited London for the first time with my daughter.

Just Stunning…

This is our 3rd stay with the Firmdale group and Charlotte St doesn’t disappoint… perfect location within easy walking distance of both Regent St and Soho yet quiet at night. Room 100 was beautiful - Kit Kemp at her finest… If you can book room to include breakfast as can be quite pricy as everything is itemised but otherwise simply stunning.

The location was very centrally located. The attention to detail by the staff was greatly appreciated. Cleanliness and quality of rooms was 5-star.

A few staff members- Lauren ( waitress) Liz( room service) Matteo( head concierge) & Bell staff - went out of their way to be helpful. What I did not like- the view out of our room window was really ugly- metal heating & air conditioning units. Also, the dining room was really loud & noisy.

Design fantastic, check-in staff good but breakfast area not up to standard of hotel generally. Service there slow, tables cramped/crowded, and maitre d’ confused, had to state room several times.

Exceptional service from the front desk and doormen. Lovely bar, perfect location.

Love this hotel. Everything is great: bedding, decor, staff, location. Will be back!

Wonderful property in ideal location

Everything about the hotel is fantastic. From the decor, to the service, to the location. I wish we had stayed here longer. It will be the first property we look at when planning a return trip.

The staff were amazing! Incredibly friendly, helpful, professional and attentive, they made us feel completely at home. The rooms are lovely, light and clean with all the amenities you need and if there is anything else required it is very quickly delivered to the room. In the bar/restaurant, the food is delicious and drinks are delivered promptly. We had an incredible time and were looked after extremely well! Thank you all so much!

This hotel has a designer decor with care. You can see the owners enjoy to make guest comfortable and happy. It is not bland and generic. Lovely place. Great breakfast.

Perfect

This is my favorite London hotel. Everything is perfect.

After my second stay here, I'm even more of a fan. The staff are very helpful and accommodating. The rooms are impeccable, super clean. The decor is fresh, modern and cheerful. The Brits are fearless in their approach to mixing patterns, textures etc. and that is very much the case here with excellent results. The sitting rooms are inviting, and make a nice place to work using the free wi-fi. The breakfast is fantastic with a large and varied selection. Service is prompt and thoughtful. The bar is lively at night. The neighborhood has many restaurants and coffee spots. I'll be back soon.

The room was beautiful. The hotel is situated on a cute street in a great location. The staff was amazing! Very helpful with recommendations and showing you how to get around. Will definitely stay here again!!

Beautiful cozy chic hotel

Always love all the Firmdale hotels. Ultimate in style, coziness and comfort. Rooms smell great, and have stunning fabrics and a lot of warmth. Bathrooms are luxe with heated towels and lovely products.

Instant favorite!

I absolutely fell in love with this hotel and it is my new favorite in London. The staff are absolutely amazing, attentive to every detail, kind and courteous, and simply lovely to interact with. There is so much attention paid to the details in this hotel, and the level of effort makes for a memorable experience. The rooms are a haven, unusually quiet in the middle of the city, thoughtfully designed and decorated. The mini bar is top quality and the honesty bar on the ground floor of the hotel is a real treat. I enjoyed breakfast at Oscar very much and can highly recommend the lobster benedict. The avocado on toast and omelets could use some more seasoning, but the poached eggs were right on the mark. And finally, a luxury hotel bar that feels cozy and welcoming, offers loads of choice for drinks, a nice range of snacks, and doesn’t make me pay a premium to be there! I didn’t want to leave the hotel! Well done to the entire team that make this hotel one of a kind!

Great base for all that London has to offer

We were delighted to return to the Charlotte Street hotel, one of our London favourites. Welcoming staff, lovely rooms and residents lounge, great breakfast and location. We look forward to returning soon.

A gem of a hotel.

A very nice and upmarket Hotel, This was one now ticked off my bucket list. 5 Mins walk to all the best places. You can sometimes see the odd celeb in and around the hotel. I will defiantly be back.

Truly a gem!

I've stayed at the Charlotte Street Hotel for business a few times but while on lay-over between holiday and home I chose to treat my wife and daughter to this great hotel. It is gorgeous with an amazing staff, perfect rooms and the location is perfect!

Loved the fine linens and the comfortable bed. Slept well each night. Had problem with the TV but it was resolved promptly by a staff member. A lovely hotel with good interior design. The restaurant offers an excellent breakfast buffet and an interesting menu with wide selections.

The Charlotte Street Hotel is dreamy!

Like all the Firmdale Hotels I have stayed in, the Charlotte St is divine. The cozy, warm atmosphere, superior design and art works displayed everywhere, and incredible helpfulness of the staff are all top notch. You can't do any better than stay at one of these hotels. The Charlotte St is particularly well-located and perfect for walking around London. I can't recommend it more.

Superb hotel

I love Kit Kemp's interior design and was delighted to stay at the Charlotte St Hotel. It entirely lived up to my very high expectations, with one exception. The bar area and restaurant were very busy and noisy on each evening of our two-night stay. It was very hard to hear each other in the restaurant (we are both just over 70), so the first night we went down the street to another restaurant. The next night, it was again noisy, so the very helpful staff suggested we eat in the drawing room. There were a few other hotel guests there, but it was quiet and we enjoyed an excellent meal in front of the fire in that lovely room. I cannot fault Charlotte St Hotel in any other respect. The staff are exceptionally helpful, the hotel is extremely comfortable, and the decor is superb.

It was good except our floor was being renovated and they couldn't accommodate us except over the noisy restaurant as an alternative. Location was great and the room itself was nice. Just loud listening to the workers outside our room each morning and the intense aroma of paint/paint removal was overwhelming.

centrally located

Excellent staff and service! Very beautiful and high-end room decoration and appointments. Excellent amenities, especially for the bathroom..Excellent bedding (down comforter & feather pillows), though personally I prefer the comforter not tucked in at the bottom, and I found the blanket on top of the comforter superfluous. And though I put two extra pillows in the closet, the maid put them back on my bed (why can't maids leave things arranged the way guests prefer?). Excellent blackout curtains, but they they unfortunately don't close entirely. The lighting at the bathroom mirror could be better, and a handheld shower in the shower stall would be helpful. Though room service is fast, I missed having a coffee machine in the room or hot water kettle to make instant coffee, especially since the room service pot of coffee gets cold fast. .

Excellent hotel in Bloomsbury

Great hotel, very clean, decorated with taste. Location excellent for theaters. Staff excellent. We stayed in a two levels loft, spacious, quiet. Excellent beds. Bathroom very comfortable. Ideal for couple with children.

Great place to stay, quiet, yet close to Oxford Street and Soho. Staff couldn't be nicer and very helpful. Great food, wine and a lovely venue for a family birthday spanning 3 generations. Highly recommended.

Location, Staff, Hotel, SUPERB!!!!!!!

Wonderful Hotel and there mission is to make your stay with them unforgettable, and they accomplished that. The Hotel called me the day before our departure to ask there was anything they could do to make our stay more injoyable. I think that gesture shows just what a frist class Hotel you are dealing with. Would go back in a flash!!!!!

Fabulous hotel in Fitzrovia

Visited London for business and pleasure for three days in April, and stayed at the Charlotte Street Hotel. This was my second time at this hotel. The facilities are immaculate. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, well designed, and a pleasure to stay in. The bathrooms are similarly well-proportioned and tasteful and everything functions as it should.

We were Pampered

What more can we say. Our 13-year old never wanted to leave (a television over the bath!) We loved the cozy fire and a cup of tea in the honesty bar after a cool walk home from the theater.

Very good hotel

Excellent, stylish hotel with well trained and friendly staff. We had a very comfortable, beautifully decorated room. Our only reservation is that the hotel restaurant, while good, was far too noisy for our taste. However, the hotel is located within easy walking distance of many good restaurants.

Wonderful boutique hotel in Soho

We stayed here on last two nights of our honeymoon after our African Safari. The hotel was in a great neighborhood with a local, non touristy feel. Very convenient and close to the underground. The hotel was very clean and the rooms were huge, especially for London. Overall a very good stay. The only slight negative was that the front of house staff seemed a bit cold and unfriendly.

How hotels should be

Wonderful staff, attentive and thoughtful without being intrusive. Really enjoyed or stay and were given an unprompted upgrade to one of the amazing suites due to a special occasion.
