this a value for money hotel but location is not very good
Nice Hotel
It was my first time in QATAR and enjoined there. It was only one full day but I visited many places and suggest that any one will go to QATAR to vist the places I went to it. For example: I went to the Iraqi restaurant for the Lunch they very good menu and they have the special Iraqi TEA after you finish your meal go down stairs and ask the cashier for one small cup. Also, I visited the LULU'AH area it has a good coffee shops and good places to walk with the people and to do shopping. Really it was very good and ALLAH willing I'll visit it again once I have time.
It has to be one star hotel
It is very small, in bad neighborhood and unfriendly staff
affordable cost.
Overall hotel is good.
Maybe you find better alternatives
The pillows were very bad. For a cheap stay is ok because all the rest of hotels in Doha are expensive. The employees were nice and helpful but the food in the restaurant was bad. Breakfast not good also.
I recommend this hotel
The Hotel is clean. The staff is great. The prices are so reasonable comparing with the prices in the city although that I think the prices in the city are very high comparing with the prices in North America. The only problem is the location. The hotel is located in very busy area that has bad traffic especially in the rush hours but that does not mean the rooms are not quite.
My experience
Hotels.com indicated that this was bed and breakfast but the hotel front desk denied this so my stay did not include breakfast - a bit disappointing!
Good Experience. Only the Breakfast was a hitch.
Overall the Experience was very good. Being in Najma Area, is close to all areas of Doha and Industrial Areas. Breakfast was disappointing. Advertised the rates with breakfast and then when we reach there, it is not included. This is not the first time that it has happed to me specially in Qatar. May be it is the wrong information provided by the site and not the Hotel. Not very sure. Restaurants were available nearby, so it was not a big problem.
good for a short stay
Hotel is good for a short stay ..,no complains for the price I paid
Good option for low budget
Confortable, Amigable staff good overall, it is not excellent but price value is well balanced
Nice hotel with great. Staff
Great. Location and. Best hotel in town highly recommended
True 3-Star property
I wouldn't stay here again. The staff was nice and the breakfast was good but the quality of the hotel was very low-end. I booked 6 nights and only stayed 2 because I didn't feel comfortable there. My sheets had some stains on them and the bathroom could use upgrading but It was generally clean though. It will serve its purpose if you're looking for something just to eat, sleep and shower in I guess. I don't think I realized it was a 3 star property when I booked it and I've learned that what we consider 5-star in the US doesn't translate here so I'll only be staying in 5-star properties from now on in Doha and the UAE.
Just ok
Stayed here for a nap during a short layover. Good service and the room was clean and adequate, no complaints, but I found the hotel a bit tired and run down. My room had a faint smokey smell as someone had clearly been smoking there previously. Perfectly adequate for a layover but I would recommend the Concorde Hotel over this hotel where I stayed for another layover (similar price, similar airport location). That hotel was much higher class. But if that hotel is not available and you just need a place to nap during a layover, this hotel will serve that purpose just fine.
Very Freindly Staff - Wil Stay Again
Excellent - only down side was that we did not get transfer to the Airport as it was too early in the morning. However, that was the only thing.
Great hotel but bad location.
Value for Money...in Doha that is.
Almost every hotel in Doha is expensive, way over priced. The location of the Chairmen Hotel is not the best but the room was clean and for the money this was a good deal. The gym had a few pieces of cardio equipment if I remember correctly which was fine. I will stay there again. If you only need a bed, an internet connection and a basic gym, this is the best hotel for the money. No frills here.
Good enough for one night
An average hotel. The staff were welcoming at the beginning. The service is poor. The airport shuttle is not available all the time even if you called ahead of time to schedule. The concierge is also not available all the time. We had to wait an hour for the shuttle, another 30 mins for the concierge to come take our luggages. The buffet was good but overpriced for the poor service. The location is good if you wanna be close to the airport. The hotel is good for one night only. The neighborhood is very noisy (industrial city).
Friendly staff, silverfish in bed
Good Points: 1. Staff were friendly, when I checked in thetried to charge me for the room, when normally it is already paid for by Expedia. Eventually the receptionist let me use his personal laptop to check my email and it turned out that for this hotel expedia just makes the booking. Bad Points: 1. Taxi drivers don't seem to know it or be prepared to use the address to get there which is a pain. 2. Found a silverfish (insect) in my bed.
Good C/P choice
good C/P ,suitable for budget trip.
