Location
Excellent as long as you don't want a hot shower
This was a lovely hotel with a great location. There was a lot of street and hotel noise during the day but it all stopped by 10pm and we had no trouble sleeping. Room was large with it's own balcony and breakfast was really good. Shower room was also large with big shower, unfortunately on two of our three mornings the water was rather cold. It was hot by the afternoon. Not sure why and the staff weren't helpful in providing an explanation. It was February and the coldest night for 40 years so perhaps it's all solar heating and the backup isn't powerful enough. So if you aren't staying in the winter would thoroughly recommend.
Very Central. And I was given one of the traditional stone-house rooms and it’s very cosy and soundproof is great. Will stay again
The hotel staff are very helpful and cordial especially the hotel general manager and the young gentleman who works at the front desk. The hotel owner is a classic kind person who is totally focused on customer experience and service. Although his son managed an incident so disgracefully. The hotel is located in a central location and close to all the dining and shopping options. The breakfast was fantastic and the staff were super pleasant and polite. The hotel is highly recommended, the beds are very comfortable and the room is cleaned very well.
We got a huge room at the friendly reception. Central location steps from Ledra St. Plenty of inexpensive parking underground at the nearby moat.
Functional stay
Good location to explore Nicosia. However the hotel is very dated and needs some money spending on it. Old fashioned furnishings, limited hot water on a morning. Basic breakfast. Doesn’t justify the price tag.
M
The location was very convenient and central in Nicosia. The room was great and very spacious and the staff were absolutely amazing! Would recommended to any all my friends and family, we will definitely stay there again!
Cleanliness, friendliness, and breakfast.
Nice area, lots of walking around to look at the shops
Likes, great location and wonderful hotel would definitely stay again. Dislike no parking
Beautiful room - very nice staff Breakfast was excellent! But the surrounding area on the dangerous/ sketchy side of things
Third time staying here. Always a good stay and right in Nicosia so very hand for walking around the city. Rooms are large and clean and a good choice of food for breakfast..
The hotel is good, clean, safe. The staff is good .The breakfast is great. Only the area around the the hotel is laud at night time
Dissapointing and bleak hotel/rooms
Location wise the hotel is pretty good.. Otherwise i found the rooms to be drab and basic. There was a stain on our sheets and we asked them to be changed. The house keepers had left. So the person at the front desk reluctantly brought a new sheet up. Just handed it to me and walked off. Also the bed covers were too small for the bed size. Which is very strange. Breakfadt was average. Also, the hotel had emailed us to say that offsite parking was 5 euro for 24hrs. However, all of the options that they suggested are now 12 euro. So, incorrect information was given. No a good stay overall, but nice accommodation seems to be lacking in Nicosia.
Ideal position
Nice place. Relatively cheap but decent for price. Easy check in, decent clean room, nice big bathroom. Area was so so. Lots of young guys hanging around and no car park albeit there is one reasonable close but may not suit older or those with kids
Everything was good except for ventilation. Air conditioning was not adjustable to accommodate for the unusually warm temperatures in early April. It was set to winter temps and the rooms couldn’t be cooled off. Windows couldn’t be left open due to mosquitoes coming into your room to feast.
Große, saubere Zimmer mit renovieren Bädern. Sehr freundliches Personal. Gutes frisches Omelett zum Frühstück. Leider sehr hellhörig insbesondere die Zimmer zur Fußgängerzone sind recht laut. In unserem Zimmer völlig durchgelegene Matratzen. Auswahl beim Frühstück recht übersichtlich. Für das Gebotene recht teuer.
Good hotel rooms are very basic bathrooms very small
Okay hotel
The hotel is fine, but not disabled-friendly. The breakfast buffet could use more variety. The location is right in the city center. Staff are nice, and the price is good.
Nice hotel, great location to all sights in old town. The hotel staff was helpful and pleasant. The hotel it self was good. The shower, the bed and the space was all very adequate.
Property was in a fantastic location with easy walking everywhere. Room was very nice and spacious and clean. Staff were great and breakfast was very good. Only problem was that we had a room at the front of the hotel and the noise was unbelievable. No traffic but people in restaurants very loud till early hours of morning.
Friendly and comfortable hotel, very centrally situated and convenient for the old city. Spacious bedrooms, varied and plentiful breakfasts, large lobby/lounge area with bar.
We stay here every time we are in Nicosia
American who has visited 81 Countries Impressed
I had a very nice stay @ Centrum. It’s a great location, right in the middle of things. The air conditioning worked well, which was important because it was in the 90s each day. Plus, it was quiet. The breakfast was also nice & Cornelius and Lili (from Romania) were cheerful & helpful. Paris was also very helpful @ the front desk with suggestions, directions, arranging my Taxi and pouring Ouzo @ the bar!
Very friendly and helpful staff, location cant be beat.
Sizeable room, giant comfortable bed, great location. Only negatives were the aircon was set to heating only, and the shower head was badly clogged with limescale. Really enjoyed staying & would visit again.
Good Area, Smallish Room, Clerk Surly at End
The Centrum well located, near major pedestrian walkway Ledra Street. Lots of shops, few restaurants. Easy access to Border crossing to Turkish North Cyprus at end of street. Nice lobby w/ bar area & many sofas. Breakfast area required circuitous route through intriguing museum of old artifacts. Good breakfast, attentive staff. Room small, compared to Arab hotels. Huge bed filled room, making it difficult to move around. There was a balcony area, never used by me and a small extra room for luggage, but nothing else in it. Might have been a sitting area with chairs and such, but only a luggage rack. TV was terrible. No English stations for news. Even BBC was in Greek. There were a few stations with American films in orig. language and Greek subtitles, but no CNN, as all other hotels had. Ridiculous. Bathroom very small. Equipped and such, but shower was tiny, and you really had to maneuver through room to get to small bathroom. Final note. 2 of 3 clerks, Angela and Pericles were great. Chris, morning guy was surly. Others were helpful with directions and suggestions, he not so. What pissed me off was I expected a taxi to take me and my large bag, heavy carry-on and satchel to the bus station. I'd taken a cab when I arrived on bus from Paphos, where I flew in. I subsequently saw it was not a long walk, but with bags difficult. Chris mocked me and balked at calling a cab. I yelled and he did so, but couldn't confirm. Angry, I stormed off with bags, w/difficulty to station.
Great location
Nice staff and super comfortable beds. A good utility hotel. Well located in Nicosia. Everything is walkable.
Need more staff as they were unable to staff the bar whilst checking in late arrivals.
Very handy location.
Great Location
Fantastic centrally located hotel. Parking is a bit of a lottery as max stay 1 hour unless you head to the big car park by the bus station which is a 3-4min walk. Cost is approx €7.50 overnight. Good selection at Breakfast buffet. Room a good size and spotlessly clean.
great location, clean and nice
location is great. Hotel is clean and comfort.
Was OK
Good one Nice breakfast
Great location, great hotel
Great location, plentiful breakfasts included, great lounge, nice bathroom
Very nice executive/family room with a nice bathroom and good aircon. The staff were friendly and the breakfast excellent. Overall a great place to stay close to Ledra St.
GOOD
Very central in Nicosia, great location and very friendly clean hotel. Can be a bit noisy but nothing more than you would expect in the middle of a city
It was the worst hotel I have ever visited in my life. Not good at all comparing with what they show on internet. They should show exactly the conditions of the rooms. And the price is really high comparing with what we get. I payed 100$ at Crown Plaza in Athens, and it is one of the best hotel. I payed the same price at Centrum hotel, and it doesn't reach 2 stars, for me. Crowdy, dirty, rooms not isolated, and no alternative, and when I said I can't sleep because it is crowdy, they told me to leave the hotel if I'm not satisfied.
Best thing was customer service!
The Hotel had an odd smell in the room and especially the bathroom. Poor quality beds and towels. Advertising a bar in the hotel that no one staffed. Overall we were not real satisfied with this hotel.
For the executive room I have booked, I expected to have a room similar to the one I saw in the picture. In the contrary, I got another room which is not at the standard of an executive one. Plus, for an executive room, I am supposed to have a city view from my balcony which was not the case. My room was at the second floor and my view was the balconies of other building behind the hotels. So disappointing. It was the first trip with my fiancée and I wanted it to be perfect but didn't get the chance to show her what room I booked for us because I got a room that is completely different than what was said in the booking.
Great location
I enjoyed my stay but found the rooms rather dull and uninviting. A great location though and easily accessible to the old city
just ok.... but great location
We stayed in the executive suite, which is just bigger than the other rooms. The bathroom as updated, which was great. The beds however are not great, nor is the dated fridge in the room and the electrics I had to turn off as they were making such a noise... We have been staying in the centrum hotel for years, as the location is excellent. The hotel is nothing to shout about, but not terrible either.
I loved my stay in Centrum hotel. The location was perfect, staff friendly and very helpfull.
My room wasn't booked. Somebody from the staff deleted my reservation. They had to move me to another very bad hotel nearby. Very bad experience. 1st time it happens to me although i am a frequent traveller.
Clean Hotel close to city center
Great location in downtown Nicosia. Located in a pedestrian zone but parking just across the next street was not a problem and not expensive. Friendly staff, a clean room and a great breakfast made it a good stay.
Nice Centrally Located Hotel
Very nice modern and comfortable hotel with wonderful staff in a perfect location. The closest parking lot is easy to get to but very expensive. I paid 25 euros to keep my car here for 2 and half days.
The bed was too soft, but the room and location were good. The shower was amazing!
Fantastic location right next to Ledra Street so easy access to shopping, restraints etc. Room was clean and comfortable if a little stark (hard floors, no pictures on the walls, no frame on mirror) bed was huge and comfy. Breakfast was good, great coffee and nice selection of hot and cold foods. Restaurant is lovely traditional building. Staff all friendly.
The staff are friendly and genuinely interested in your comfort. Breakfast here is top flight with a nice variety of offerings from halloumi to locally crafted sausages and breads. The espresso machine alone is worth getting up for! The property is conveniently located within the old city walls in the center of a vibrant shopping/dining area in Nicosia about a seven-minute walk from the Ledra Street crossing point. the only downside to this hotel is that the doors are thin so you may hear clatter of keys and slamming of doors in the evenings. Forgot to mention that the showers produce a strong flow of hot water almost instantly, a nice eco-friendly feature that makes for a pleasant clean-up after a long day of sightseeing! Lobby area is also spacious and well designed giving the place a mediterranean feel with plenty of travertine and open windows.
Old traditional style was great with very friendly staff and a great location
Not satisfied
It is located close to the border, but overall not satisfied with their services. Frontdesk staff need more training.
The Centrum was in an excellent location to see the old city because that’s where it is located.. The staff was helpful and the hotel was decorated with antiques. The only minor negative is there is no parking on site and you need to use a public parking area about 4 blocks away.
City Break
Perfect location for a short stay in the old city. Very helpful and pleasant staff!
Location fabulous, good 3 star hotel for short breaks in Nicosia
Great location. Nice staff. Good breakfast. Little old building and rooms. Some bad smell attimes in bathroom due to old pipes.
Great staff, great location
We had a 3 night stay in july and would definitely recommend this hotel. The check in was easy. The hotel was clean and well presented and the staff were all great! Particularly the staff that ran the restaurant in the morning for breakfast. We had vegetarians, meat eaters and fussy children in our group and everyone was well catered for.
Location is very central in the old town. Room is clean with good AC.
Location was excellent. Disappointingly the restaurant was closed apart for breakfast and the bar service was poor to say the least.
Public areas very modern. Staff on reception during the day very helpful and welcoming. Wi-fi good. Bedroom a bit disappointing compared to pictures on the website. It had been partly renovated but was rather spartan and lacked any colour or coziness. Doors, tiles etc had not been upgraded. Pictures on website do not match the bathrooms in standard room and do not really give good representation Breakfast very disappointing, compared to pictures on website and other reviews. Excellent convenient location but very noisy at night.
Fine but rooms can be a bit noisy
Very friendly staff and a nice room with comfortable bed. Walls very thin so can clearly hear adjacent rooms. Very convenient for central Nicosia. Decent breakfast.
The hotel lives up to its name - it is (I think) the most central hotel in Nicosia, a few yards from the main street (Ledra), bus station and all facilities. It's in two parts, the modern hotel with the reception, bar, rooms with balconies etc, and an older building with the attractive restaurant and three traditional rooms. I had one of these. These had large windows with wooden shutters and high ceilings but not a great view. Pleasant enough. This distinction was not clear on the website though the price was lower. One window/shutter did not shut so noise got in. The bathroom drains were somewhat overpowering. Breakfast was a good choice, both Cypriot and British, with a friendly manager. Overall a good option.
A good hotel for where it is
As central as you can get in Nicosia old town and certainly the best option here. It was immaculately clean and staff were very helpful, but don't assume a good here compares with top hotels elsewhere. It was good considering where it was but nothing special in the bigger picture. Also, be aware, that in mid winter, there is not a lot of vibrancy in Nicosia old town.
We loved the breakfast so much. There are some mosquitoes in the room that we did not like.
Very well run hotel close to the old town couldn’t of asked for more 👍👍
A 2 day stay
The heritage rooms were wonderful but the staircase access may be difficult for anyone who has trouble with stairs. We loved it and staff were very helpful without cases.
Great hotel - staff very friendly and room very clean. Also good wifi and nice breakfast.
I will book in this hotel everytime i go to nicosia
Hotel is right in the heart of the old city, perfect location. The rooms are large and clean. The breakfast could be updated a bit but the restaurant itself is very nice.
Great Hotel & Staff beware of parking
For Drivers there is no parking and Nicosia is redeveloping the area streets and parking area not a problem if you have one small bag carry. Nearest is the one near the bus terminal but gets full at busy times. But from this ideal location for shops, restaurant's sit seeing. The hotel and staff very good breakfast great thanks for making us welcome :-)
Very nice hotel, lovely bright room with a wide terrace, enjoyed it.We have been to Nicosia many times ,we go to see friends and a gallery we know in arsinois street near THe tower. Ledra area is very lively with lots of great eating places and lots of history.
Ok
Staff was good. Bed was uncomfortable. Location close to shops and restaurants, but parking was a hassle. Nowhere to unload people and luggage either.
Small quirky hotel
A very quirky hotel with lots of character.
No AC, by owner's choice, in otel in hot mid April
My main complaint was the lack of ac. Even though it was in the low 30s C or low 80s F, the AC for the building was set on heat. While it cooled off during the nights, the only way to let the cooler night air in was by opening a door to a common balcony, which is not a safe way to sleep. After many other guests complained, mgmt relented to put the AC to a normal mode so that guests could adjust the temperature while in their rooms. There was no reason, other than being cheap, for mgmt/owners to do this.
City centre hotel
It was January, wet & cold.Room was not very cosy or warm. We found it noisy. Probably as it was an old hotel. Staff were friendly & helpful.
Great location
You cannot beat its location, right in the middle of everything.... which comes with a lot of noise. Very poor sound proofing of the rooms and bathrooms need work. Staff was more than great. I would consider staying again just because of its location
Was a two days weekend trip
Hotel location is magnificent, just in the middle of down town and near to all restaurants, bars, bus stations and markets. Hotel staff was friendly expet that blonde lady 🙄. Rooms are on the decnet size, clean and cozy. Didn’t like how noisy it become at the weenends, but understandable given the location of the hotel.
Nice location and great stay
I had a good experience at this hotel. I stayed for 4 nights and i felt really good . The staff is amazing and very helpful, good breakfast and location is perfect very close to the sightseeinghs and ledras street. I will definetely reccomend this hotel!
November 2017
Good position for long distance bus station and Ledra Street. Very basic hotel, no atmosphere. Noise all night.
Great hotel
The room was very hot. The person on reception says it was cold the week before we arrived and he had put the heating on. It was very noisy outside the hotel until about 3am I have to say we have stayed at this hotel and not had any problems with noise so this was a "one off".
Could be so much better.
Great location and the hotel looks like they've spent all their money on the reception as the rest of the hotel is lacking. Sheets were dirty, i gave them the chance to change them but on return they were still dirty so had to find a maid who then changed them. Asked for a wake up call but never received one. The bed was uncomfortable and the room was very noisy at night.
Excellent very convenient city centre location.Always a pleasure
centre of Nicosia
We were given a triple room on arrival the room was at the side of the hotel looking straight down to an area with shops coffee houses and restaurants. We had a broken nights sleep so asked to be moved. We we given another room on the same floor this was slightly better noise wise. Everthing about this hotel is good but do expect noise - not for light sleepers.
Brilliant location for the old town.
Right next to the shopping area with loads of nice bars, coffee shops and restaurants. Nearby parking near the bus station. Good value for money and I would stay there again!
the room was very noisy as it was opposite a night club so I was unable to sleep
Excellent stay.
Ideal, quiet location within city walls. Very friendly, helpful staff. Breakfast in covered outdoor restaurant area. Wonderful value for money.
Great location great service comfort and clean
Kind and Very Helpful Staff. Particularly George!
I had flown out to Nicosia as my step daughter had unfortunately been admitted to hospital whilst on holiday. Whilst the hotel was clean and a good 3 star it was the staff were exceptionally kind and helpful. My thanks to them and in particular George who went above and beyond for me.
Was treated great and throughout my stay!
From George's kindness upon arrival and throughout my stay, I have no complaints. ALL of the staff were very nice, too. Great location in the old city and right next door to the main shopping street, Ledra. My room was in great condition, as it appeared that it was recenlty renovated. Can't beat the value I got for 3 nights stay either, including breakfast.
We were very close to all places we wanted to see all within walking distance
Great Location Hotel.
The front desk staff was very helpful finding rent car for me on sunday.
Great location
Positive - Great location, very nice staff. Negative - small room, small shower, not so much facilities, poor breakfast.
Located IN the old city. Close to all amenities.
Good hotel
Good hotel right in centre of town , good breakfast good air con. Only stayed one night didn't use facilities. Shopping area on doorstep with lots of bars and restaurants. I would stay here again
Hotel overbooked - I cannot recommend it
The hotel overbooked so we were moved to what was to my eyes clearly an inferior hotel, despite the best efforts of the receptionist to persuade us that it was a better hotel than the Centrum. As I am a regular visitor to Nicosia I knew the hotel he was moving us to, so I called his bluff on that one. I will not book the Centrum again as the hotel overbooks so you risk paying a premium for a hotel you do not get to stay in. I have to say, hotels.com dealt with the situation brilliantly, and although they could not reinstate our booking at the Centrum, the response of hotels.com has not put me off using its website. After all, it was not hotels.com fault, it was this untrustworthy hotel.
Great place in the middle of the old city center
The room was very big and comfortable. It was located in the middle of the old city center next to the shopping center and the main roads. The room was very clean and the staff was very nice. The entrance to the dining room is beautiful and decorated with traditional decoration. We arrived to Nicosia in order to get married and the town hall is 1 minute walk. The only problem was the noise during the night from the street and the pubs.

Great location
Very comfortable hotel situated right on Ledra Street so brilliant for the Ledra crossing into the north and transport links from the bus station.
