Very nice room close to city center very hospitable host

Be Fully Informed About This Hotel

Hotel was to arrange taxi to pick us up at railroad station but our train was 15 minutes late (beyond our control) and the taxi, unbeknownst to us, only was to wait 5 minutes! We paid TWICE for a taxi!!! Also, unbeknownst to us, the hotel charged us an addition 3% for using credit card!!! Overall, room was very clean and tidy. However, everything (furnishings, fixtures, sink, etc.) is outdated — 60s style. Carpet is very worn and needs to be replaced yesterday.

They tried to ask for parking fee and about to charge my card and when I asked it said to be parking included. Still he insisted that he needs to collect parking fee.

Christchurch stay

Motel was only 10 minutes walk to the city centre and there were a couple of restaurants within 5 minutes. Large fridge, microwave, toaster and TV had lots of channels.

Overall great location, only 10 min walking distance to the historic center. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable.

The staff were excellent and super accommodating, when I arrived I thought I had booked a twin room but it was a king. The staff were amazing in helping resolve the issue quickly and also giving us great tips on where to eat and shop

Staff were very friendly and upgraded us for free first few days whilst there was availability. Rooms were cleaned daily and to a good standard and nice and quiet.

Very spacious and modern rooms. Loved the jet spa bath also.

Wotif price $140 - check in price $154?!!!! Absolute rubbish we were charged extra for a car park. I’m been travelling for 20 years - you pay for a secure HOTEL car park, sure. But not a regular motel. Also, a spa bath, it’s not a “tub”.

Lovely place to stay!!!

Excellent central location with very friendly hosts.

The room was spacious and could be heated easily and also had an electric blanket. The only fault was coping with the tightness of the taps, walking to cafes and restaurants was easy. The situation of the motel was perfect for getting around the city and also for visiting Hagley park. A great cafe there is a real bonus.

I don’t know why I liked this motel as much as I did, but I found it very comfortable. It is located within walking distance of the bus terminal and shopping. The guy at the desk was very helpful and friendly. I’d happily stay there again.

Very Nice

The night host was very nice. We got there a little late but he made sure we had parking for our van. We had a bedroom upstairs and a bed downstairs. It was just great.

Conveniently located. It was a good spot for one night, I like the bed warmer and towel warmer. Not a lot of light in our room but wasn’t there li g, a 20 minute walk to city ce yet

Good city centre motel

The rooms were well stocked with drink options and I appreciated how clear they were about the recycling. The television had a reasonable number of channels available. It was easy to walk to the city centre and find local shops and restaurants.

This place was ideal for our overnight Christchurch trip. Central, with free parking, very clean and friendly. We were very happy to be upgraded to a bigger room.

Love the excellent location service professional and friendly. Can I suggest some proper coffee and a plunger. I need a good coffee first thing and coffee sachets are not satisfactory. Otherwise it was fine especially for the price.

Great centrally located motel on Colombo Street. Easy walk to city centre. Were given an upgrade on arrival. Only minor thing was the wifi kept dipping out.

The Centrepoint is a great motel, less than 10 minutes walk into central Christchurch. Our room was very spacious and very clean. We utilised the laundry facilities which was very handy. Good parking onsite and very reasonably priced. Happy to recommend.

We found the location quite convenient, as we mostly walked our way around Christchurch. The bed was very comfortable and the shower worked perfectly. Room was very clean. Managers of hotel were friendly and helpful.

Room was quite small which made it tough to squeeze in all our stuff but it was clean and convenient to the city. Room had fridge and microwave which was good. Car parking on site was free and easy. Reception staff friendly.

Well equipped and comfortable room, seemingly put together by someone with experience of travelling with luggage. Not the most stylish but practicality more than made up for that. Staff friendly and helpful.

The property as a whole was decent. We had to clean some black mold off the ceiling in the bathroom didn’t get to a few spider webs 🕸️ in the ceiling. Other than that check in was fast and the old coffee French Press was replaced with a better new one very quickly 👍. The location is great we could walk and ran anywhere central. Went to 3 different markets. Christchurch was a fantastic foodie city and finding good coffee was ez as well.

Both the accommodation and staff were excellent. A 3 night stay in total that very much contributed to my wonderful first ever time in Christchurch. Susie & Leon were lovely & friendly owners and they both could not have been more helpful. I highly recommend Centrepoiint on Colombo and would certainly stay there again.
