This is a delightful place in the middle of town. Perfect for walking to parks, the water, restaurants, the market and museums. The house is spacious and clean, and the host is accommodating. Two rooms are not en suite, so if that's important to you, make sure you double check. We got used to walking to the bathroom; it made it feel like we lived in the entire space. Very nice. Highly recommended.

I went in the off season so there were only ever a couple other guests in an 8 room Guesthouse - but the space is very well kept, clean, pretty. The courtyard is nice. Eduardo is helpful. I think it would be more difficult to share the kitchen space and you’d hear other people more if the place was full. Overall though - a good spot! Basically within the old city so it’s nice!

Clean and quiet

Clean, quiet, very comfortable, and centrally located for easy movement around the city and island. The kitchen was stocked with basics, space had a washing machine, and the common areas were spacious. Would def stay here again. Eduardo was very friendly and helpful as well

Excellent place to stay. Clean, spacious. Was there my entire trip. Location is very good and parking convenient. It is an easy drive to the east and west of the island. Ponta Delgada can be explored on foot. Eduardo was very helpful with good tips on how to explore the island and restaurant/food recommendations.

The best location in Ponta Delgada with the famous Mercado Market right in front of you and the shops and restaurants all nearby just a few minutes walkikg distance. Its also very quiet for sleeping even though you are right in the centre on a main road. The rooms are large and very comfortable beds and good dining area. The kitchen though is really small and it was good nobody else was using it when I had to cook my meals. Not enough room in the kitchen and little disorganized

Great place to stay. If I return, I would stay here again. I loved they had a washing machine for guests, a small kitchen, and lovely common areas.

Staff were friendly. Prompt check in. Staff held our bags after checkout as we were on a tour before our flight left that evening. Cozy, felt like home. Cleanliness needs some work. Rooms need updating, even just some pictures on the wall. Very convenient location, within walking distance to all of Ponta Delgada.

We cook, relax, enjoy other wonderful people ,travel about , return , put our feet up, enjoy a glass of wine, a piece of cheese and a great feeling.

Nice stay, Ao Mercado

Ao Mercado is a nice, small hotel in the middle of Punta Delgada. It's easy walking to main parts of the small town, convenient free parking nearby and plenty of coffee shops and restaurants nearby. It was raining quite a bit when I was there, and activities are limited to avoid it, but the nearby museums were excellent to pass time. The owner, Maria, was very responsive to calls/texts. I had an issue with low flow in the shower in my room when I checked in and she quickly responded and switched my room. The rest of my stay was lovely. There is a common area/living room which was being used by a family with a small child. I didn't spend much time in the hotel to take advantage of it or the kitchen and onsite laundry, but other guests seemed to appreciate them and use it!

Highly pleased with our stay at Guest House Ao Mercado. Maria was amazing - so personable and accommodating! She went out of her way to make our experience was as pleasant as possible. The guest house has everything you could need and more, even freshly picked avocados from the garden. Super charming - made to feel like you're in your own home. Super clean and secure with a code to enter the facility and lock/key to room and bathroom. Walkable to all the hotspots in Ponta Delgada and parking was accessible whether it be street parking or parking lot 1-2 blocks down. Highly recommend! Will definitely be staying here again on my future trips to São Miguel.

We stayed there in July/August 2023. Place was clean and the host was very helpful. Quiet back garden to chill out. Good location, walking distance to shops, cafes and botanical gardens. Surely would recommend and go back.

The welcome we received by Maria was warm and informative. The home is lovely and we had a chance to interact with other guests. Location is excellent and directly across from the central market.

This was a lovely guest house, providing a quiet retreat very close to the busy town center. Kitchen facility allowed for some meals to be taken "at home". The owner was beyond helpful and accommodating. A great travel experience.

A Sweet and Memorable Stay

We enjoyed every part of our 7 day stay with CC Guest House. A convenient location We liked our room , enjoyed cooking our breakfast and dinner in the kitchen and sitting at the lovely communal style table , shown in the CC Guest House photos. Beautiful guesthouse in central location

The guesthouse is beautiful, clean and comfortable. Large bedroom and plenty of shared spaces. Location is also excellent and close to everything in town on foot. Maria was a wonderful host and went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable and enjoyable.

Clean, lovely and well located

Check in was very straightforward, our host was responsive and helpful, everything was sparkling clean and the room was perfect for what we needed. The location is ideal, very close to the centre and easily walkable to restaurants.

Such a treat to stay here! Immaculately clean, beautifully appointed and it's in a great walkable location in the historic part of Ponta Delgada. Maria is a treasure, very warm and inviting. She can help you arrange tours throughout the islands by mountain or road bikes, van and hiking tours. And the tea shop Terra Verde was amazing - great recommendation!

This is really an exceptionally nice guest house. It is spacious, located in the middle of the touristic center, but with the big patio and garden it still offers a lot of calmness and relaxation. Rooms are big, clean and well-equipped. We also very much liked the fully equipped kitchen and the possibility to do laundry in the washing machine. The personnel was very nice and arranged a taxi transfer for us. We can clearly recommend to go here, it is a perfect location for a stay in Ponta Delgada.

Ce guesthouse est magnifique. Dans une vieille maison de la ville. Le propriétaire est charmante. On s’y sent comme à la maison. Il faut un peu tourner pour trouver une place de parking mais on a toujours trouvé assez près.

Eine perfekte Unterkunft für einen Aufenthalt auf den Azoren. Saubere und geräumige Zimmer, ideal gelegen, um schnell in der Altstadt zu sein mit vielen Restaurants und Cafés. Gastgeberin Maria ist unglaublich hilfsbereit und zuvorkommend. Wir hatten Probleme mit dem Rückflug und konnten gegen Mitternacht problemlos wieder ins Hotel. Sie gab‘ uns ebenfalls viele sehr brauchbare Tipps für die 3 Tage auf der Insel.

Hyggeligt og centralt

Ao Mercado ligger lige overfor Farmers Market, meget centralt og der er ikke langt til spisesteder. Gæstehuset er et gammelt byhus som er nænsomt renoveret og rigtigt fint indrettet. Værterne er ualmindeligt hjælpsomme og imødekommende, og de er gerne behjælpelige med forslag til vandre- og cykelture. Vi boede i et dejligt lyst værelse m delt bad og toilet og det fungerer bare. Sengene var rigtig gode og der blev skiftet håndklæder mindst hver anden dag. Køkkenet er lille, men har alt hvad man har brug for. Værelser med delt bad og toilet vender ud til en vej som på enkelte tider af døgnet kan være ret befærdet, så er man meget lysfølsom, skal man booke et værelse m eget bad, da disse værelser vender ud mod haven.,

Very beautiful and clean guesthouse. A warm welcome by the proprietary. A so cute garden. Very good localization in Ponta Delgada, close to restaurants and in the center.

Total nyrenoveret charmerende hus, der var pænt, rent og ordentlige forhold. Meget begejstret for både det indvendige og udvendige. Særdeles hjælpsom værter, der gjorde alt for at man følte sig hjemme, og sørgede for at man ikke manglede noget. Hyggeligt at der ikke var flere værelser, det gjorde opholdet meget mere hyggeligt. Tusind gange bedre end et stort hotel.

Assolutamente consigliato!

Bellissima struttura, in pieno centro a ponta delgada. Camere enormi, nuovissime e pulitissime. A disposizione degli ospiti un enorme soggiorno, una cucina ed uno spazio esterno delizioso. Francisco il proprietario è stato premuroso ed attento rendendo il nostro soggiorno ancora più bello. Assolutamente consigliato!
