Great location, nice staff, room is great for the price. Beds aren’t super soft and wifi is patchy. Overall great value. Breakfast was pretty good and fast!

Very nice staff and excellent free breakfast selection. The room is a good size and quiet. Hot shower great pressure. The sheets and pillows could do with an upgrade, they were flat and lumpy at the end of life. Overall great value for money.

Wonderful Hotel in Cat Ba

Great little hotel on Cat Ba island! Basically every experience I had here was perfect. Reception was super nice when I checked in and he was quick to give me tips about things to do and tours available. Booked a motorbike from him and went on the route he recommended too. The room was comfy and clean although there was construction going on next door (not their fault). Breakfast was also really good each morning. They have a little menu you can choose from. No issues extending my stay either. Would come back here next time I go to Cat Ba!

Comfy bed, hot shower and A/C

Comfy bed, but crowded room with 2 large beds. Might be good for some groups. A hot shower and basic supplies provided. Close to all the shops, restaurants and tours. Laundry and a scooter rental next door. Quiet after 6pm and the a/c was decent and drown out the roosters. Breakfast was weak, no butter or jam. Overall very good value.

Absolutely wonderful!! I arrived at 8am and they let me check in right away, so helpful. I booked a day boat trip with them at a good price with an excellent company. Breakfasts were nice, all staff were professional and helpful. Highly recommend!!

The price of a decent room was equal to the price of a chicken burger and a bottle of Bia Hà Nội down the street. The receptionist was friendly and helpful.

Okay Overall

We stayed here two nights. It's location is convenient and the free breakfast is nice. A bit cold in the rooms, but it was winter when we were there.

Good Value

The management was very helpful and smiling. The location is within easy walking distance of the harbor and many good restaurants. The bedroom was nice enough. But it took twenty-five minutes for the hot water in the bathroom to heat up and far too long for the bathroom floor to drain.

The staff are super friendly and helpful. They made us feel at home in the hotel. We didn’t want daily housekeeping but they did give us fresh towels and extra supplies when needed. Our room was very spacious and clean. The shower was very good and the bed was comfortable. The hotel has a good breakfast with many choices. We would definitely stay here again.

I wouldn't recommend

Unfortunately when we arrived to the hotel the staff gave the impression that they were not expecting us. I had booked this hotel for 4 nights weeks before our trip. I gave them my phone to show them my booking confirmation of payment and we were met with a wave of them telling us we didn't have a reservation and we hadn't paid yet, both of which were u true. To cut a long story short they overbooked the hotel and didn't have any room for us. They then came around to the idea that we had infact paid. They showed us to our room which was for all the world a storage room with two dounle beds, no keys given to us, the door had window glass giving us no privacy. While sitting in the room staff walked into our room without knocking. We left and found alternative accommodation for that night, returning the next morning to check into a double room- we would have loved to find another room for our next 3 nights in CatBa but as we'd paid in advance this financially wasn't an option for us. The room we had was fine, very basic but clean. Bathroom was in need of TLC. Drain for shower had no grate and there was a smell of faces from it. Hotel was incredibly noisy from 6.30 in the morning with guests in and out of each other's rooms shouting and banging doors. The same commotion was happening at night until about 11pm. I know the staff are not to blame for this but no effort was made to tell guests to be mindful of others. We couldn't wait to leave.

The girl at the front desk was very helpful and nice and breakfast was good. Our room had a bit of mold on the wall when we arrived, there was also mold on the floor in the bathroom beside the toilet, and our room came with no towels. However our room did have AC, and once we got over the milder had a pleasant stay here.

Absolutely fantastic place.

We have stayed for one night only , but only can talk highly about the hotel. We had a delux room on the 6th floor - nothing special about the room , but it has all you need and it’s definately great value for the money. Shower is over almost over the toilet , but we have found this almost everywhere we have stayed in Vietnam. Breakfast is cooked to order - limited selection - we had fried noodles and I certainly would recommend - it was delicious! Not so sure about coffee (but I don’t believe Vietnamese knows how to make coffee!) Lady at the reception was absolutely great - she couldn’t do enough for us and helped us with all our transfers , she was very sweet and patient , helped us with any queries we had. Overall - don’t expect too much , but it’s great value for a price and we would stay here again.

Catba Island Hotel is nothing special

I checked-in without any problems but the staff were not openly welcoming and did not offer any assistance about the local area. The room was spacious with TV, AC and min fridge. The bathroom shower and toilet all OK. Breakfast was included in the rate but was very poor. The hotel was on a street with building construction going on outside and the noise could be heard from my room. It wasn't a big problem as i used earplugs to sleep.

I wouldn't recommend this hotel. The beds were very hard and uncomfortable, as were the pillows. There were no hand towels or face cloths and the shower wasn't enclosed. The staff were nice though and the location was convenient to all amenities.

Good place

Nice hotel. Really friendly receptionist who tried to help with everything. She works really hard and is basically on shift all the time. Breakfast is the usual omelet with bread but it's free so not too bad. Well worth the money with a good location.

Perfektes Hotel. Sie waren sehr herzlich, das Personal war super freundlich und hilfsbereit. Sie organisieren sehr professionell einen Ausflug zur Lan-Ha-Bucht zu wettbewerbsfähigen Preisen und haben auch Bustickets zu vielen Orten, die sehr praktisch sind, wenn man sie an der Hoteltür abholt. Der Wäscheservice ist hier sehr schnell und sauber. Insgesamt sehr zu empfehlen, schönes und großes Zimmer, sehr leckeres Frühstück

The room was really nice, very spacious and clean. Their service is cheap but the quality is very good, they book a trip to visit Lan Ha Bay cheaper than everyone on the same boat, bus tickets and laundry are also cheaper than other places on Cat ba island. Thanks a lot...

The location is good with walking distance to the harbour. The hotel was old and the room was pretty basic. The fridge in our room did not work. You get what you pay for and nothing extra. Happy that the hotel provide scooter rental.

Location ist ganz gut, schaut auch schön aus, leider funktionierte fast nichts im Zimmer. Steckdosen nur mit viel Gewalt und Gebete einstecken können, aber das Fenster war wirklich toll!! Ist ein gutes Zimmer, gehört nur mal repariert alles. Leider versteht das Personal kaum englisch und es war nicht einfach, sich bei Problemen mit ihnen zu unterhalten, was über den normalen smalltalk hinaus geht. Lichtschalter und Aircon funktionierten auch nicht richtig.

it was cleaned, comfortable beds, good shower. Breakfast was nice and enough for me. Few minutes to walk to the main street so it was quiet. Good recommendation.

It was supper clean more than i thought. We had breakfast with food, tea, coffee, fruits, (banana pancake was so amazing), i love it. I think it will be cost a lots of money if i eat them in some restaurants on main street. Easy to go to the Catco beaches, the view point. I could rent moto bike from here to go around the island. The 2nd day, visit Lan Ha bay by boat that was good idea and i also booked bus tickets to Hanoi with cheap price from here. Thanks for every thing.

많은 부분에서 부족하였습니다. 꿉꿉함과 에어콘의 청결도 및 화장실의 벌레.. 위치도 생각보다 별로고,... 호텔직원은 자리에 20분 이상 비우기도 하고... 대화도 안되고.... 별로 추천하고 싶지 않네요.
