Excellent located hotel

This hotel is not the one in Hotels.com photo - it's opposite! Good location, pedestrianised road outside minimised road noise. Staff on reception exceptionally helpful. Rooms spacious, beds comfortable, bathroom and shower good. Excellent toiletries - Rituals. Professional hairdryer in bathroom. Rooms are individually decorated. Breakfast good, varied each day. Only 20 minute walk to the river but longer back due to being uphill! Metro station 3 minutes away. The magnificent Bilbao market just a 5 min8walk away. Luggage storage available after checkout. Only negative was that the 'fridge' was no cooler than the room.

Clean, great staff, great location. My room was ready and they allowed me to check in early. Would definitely recommend and would definitely choose this place again.

Great location, comfy bed, superb hot showers, basic but with everything you could need & the Reception ladies were simply wonderful....very helpful, make reservations if needed and always there to give advise on places to visit etc. The welcome glass of wine was also a wonderful greeting when arriving in Porto.

The terrace was really cute. Loved it was open all evening. Great place to sit and have a glass of wine before bed. Beds were comfortable. Hotel was very clean. We had a balcony, didn't use it though. Staff at the front desk were very sweet. English was great.

Great value for money and convenient location - perfect place to stay to explore Porto

The staff was wonderful. They gave valuable directions, recommendations, and beginner Portuguese lessons. We could not have asked for a better or more welcoming experience. The room and facilities were spotless.

The staff were so friendly, inviting and helpful. It really made our stay the best so far on our trip. The room was clean, modern and conveniently located on the shopping strip.

Very nice, good location

This hotel felt like a real find. It was just a few minutes' walk from a metro station, and located on a pedestrianised shopping street within walking distance of lots of Porto's points of interest. It was bright and modern, clean and comfortable, and the buffet breakfasts were great. But most of all the staff absolutely made our stay - the two receptionists we saw the most on our stay - Angela and Illary - could not have been more smiley, welcoming, friendly, efficient and helpful. Nothing was any trouble, they were full of advice and recommendations and always good humoured right from the warm welcome on arrival to the end of our stay. This was a great base, reasonably priced, and a real little haven in the city. Couldn't recommend it highly enough.

Check-in was smooth and the staff were friendly and helpful. The property is newly renovated, bright and colorful. Perfect for our short stay.

Illary made our stay so much better than it likely would have been. Although I am sure it would have been good, she made it great. So very kind and helpful.

Recent stay

Great location for us, (especially when being dropped off by by the taxi from the airport) Hotel situated at the top end of the pedestrian only main shopping street, so a bit quieter than in the center. Only a minutes walk and you are in the busy area, lots of shops, cafe's etc., Hotel and staff are brilliant, only one small improvement is to have some form of milk for the coffee and tea, also have two small bottles of water when two people are in the room. Would definitely recommend this Hotel.

Fantastic Stay in Central Porto

A lovely 2 night stay at Casual Raizes in Porto. The team were very accommodating. They went out of their way to provide us with a bottle of prosecco and cake to celebrate our recent engagement! It made our stay very special, we can't thank you enough. The room was a great size and was very bright. The Rituals creams/shower gels were a nice touch! The hotel is in a very central location close to plenty of shops, cafes and restaurants. We will absolutely be back! Thanks again to the lovely team at Casual Raizes.

Ants in the room

I would have say that 5he hotel is very good anlless there worent ants in my room. Otherwise I would say the hotel is great This was the only problem,but big one I discovered that only few hours before I leave,so fixing the problem won't help me even Thay suggest

Excellent location in a pedestrianised street lined with cafes, shops, bars etc. The hotel is newly renovated and rooms clean and comfortable. There is more than enough choice for breakfast. We couldn’t fault this hotel and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.

Clean & Great Location

This hotel was clean and in a great location. Breakfast was great too. The beds were comfortable and price was reasonable for such a great location. We would stay again!

Great location but away from any noise. Rooms are a good size and very clean. We were 2 friends travelling and the room provided 1 small bottle of water and 1 of each teabag/coffee sachet. This is their policy but seems mean - I would have expected at least 1 per person. Breakfast - there was no boiling water for tea only hot water from the coffee machine, which was disappointing. I would though stay there again!

Lovely setting and nice breakfast

Perfect position for a city break. Nice buffet breakfast, pleasant staff, all very clean and comfortable.

Little confusion about having breakfast included and we were charged 10 Euro per person. However, reception staff was great and helpful to arrange for bus tickets on line. We truly enjoyed our stay.

A very nice new boutique hotel behind the façade of the previous building. Excellent location to explore the city by foot or public transportation. However, we couldn’t sleep well at all. This may have been an exceptional situation, but when checking in we have been told that the aircon system was still in heating mode and we should open the windows if its too warm for us. It was definitely too warm and when we opened the window to the street below, we had to learn that there was loud noise all night long.

Good location

I really liked this hotel. Great location, clean and quiet modern. The room are spacious. Good breakfast and I love the fresh bread each morning.

These people have done a fabulous job of renovating an old building and making it brand new in a very convenient location. And thanks to the front desk for their helpfulness, their friendliness, and their sense of humour. This stay gets top marks all around. Obrigado!

Séjour familial

Excellent séjour dans cet hotel situé en plein centre et qui donne sur la rue sainte Catherine. Calme,propre. Accueil sympa. On a apprécié sa proximité du centre, du marché et de beaucoup de sites touristiques. Plein de restaurants dans le coin et même un.coiffeur super sympa à 10 euros la coupe :-)

Boa localização e ótimo atendimento. Bom café da manhã.

Gosto muito de este hotel. Isto foi a seconda vez che fique. O pessoal é muito simpático, o quarto (tv, cama, casa de banho, espaço) é óptimo e proprio. Da para à rua mas não é barulhente. A locação é muito boa, perta do metro/ mercado Bolhão, avenida dos Aliados / Trindade. Os preços são muito razonáveis.

Das Hotel liegt am Ende der Einkaufsstraße, von hier aus lässt sich die Stadt gut erkunden. Das Personal ist freundlich und die Zimmer sind gemütlich. In den Betten konnte man sehr gut schlafen. Das Bad ist mit Regendusche und Pflegeprodukten von Rituals. Das Frühstück war lecker und ein guter Start in den Tag.

Hotel muy céntrico, puedes ir caminando a todas partes. Habitaciones espaciosas y limpias, camas muy cómodas. El baño estupendo y nuevo y los productos Ritual. Desayuno correcto. El personal de recepción muy amable y nos aconsejaron muy bien.
