We had a wonderful stay here. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. The location was perfect for us and our room was extremely clean! Would recommend this place to anyone staying in Cusco. I hope to come back soon.
Staff was very friendly and helpful! Great experience! Enjoyed our stay!
We stayed here for 2 evenings and couldn't have asked for a better stay. The location is close to all the nearby shops and restaurants, yet quiet. Breakfast was good, hotel was very cozy and clean there was free potable water and the staff were great. My husband and I got married here and they surprised us with a little gift and bottle of wine! Would recommend this place to anyone.
This hotel is a beautiful oasis in the middle of a somewhat chaotic historic center of Cusco. The hotel is beautiful, and the rooms beautifully decorated, breakfast was fabulous with assorted items to choose from the buffet and then cooked to order eggs. I had to leave early in the morning on my last day and they prepared a sack breakfast for me to take with me on the road. The staff was always very friendly and helpful and I highly recommend highly recommend this hotel.
This is a really hotel, not just a family/Airbnb style hotel. 24 hours front desk. I have no issues on English communication. It’s pretty important for me who knows nothing about Spanish except Hola and gracias. They are very professional, efficient. The only thing is, you need to walk a quite steep side way to access the hotel, but consider this is Cusco, it’s expected.
The location is perfect for what we wanted to do while in Cusco, briefly. Walking distance to the main plaza. Easy to find again. I loved the it was tucked away on a side street too. This made it very quiet. Lovely patio ain the second floor too
The staff was very friendly and helpful, the location was excellent, and the rooms were cute and quiet.
most of the staff were friendly but the transition between rooms between activities and treks was lacking. hopefully they can get this figured out
Very attentive service, clean environments, only difficulties in getting to and from the hotel.
Excelente!!
All staff were helpful and offered excellent service. The property is nice and location is great .
It was a beautiful and unique room. It was a great shower with hot water. Breakfast was really good and staff was friendly.
The service here was absolutely impeccable, the staff were so friendly and went above and beyond to make me feel special! Thank you
This hotel was so adorable and excellent location. The rooms were comfortable, clean and had little details that made it feel special. Above all, the staff was absolutely amazing. They felt like family members welcoming you home after a long trip. They took care of you, remembered your name, offered help and assistance and went out of their way to make sure you were comfortable and taken care of. Hands down the best hosts to your travels of anywhere I've ever traveled to. A Cannot thank enough!
.
This is a completely charming little hotel with the sweetest, kindest staff, lovely breakfast , pretty outdoor terrace and all in a great location . We stayed here before and after a 7 day trek and we treated ourselves to a suite for the end of our trip. This had a lovely jacuzzi tub which was wonderful to soak our aching legs in! Highly recommend for those who prefer a boutique style hotel that will make you feel welcomed and special.
Highly Recommend
We stayed two days before and two days after hiking the Inca Trail. Our room was nicer on the first stay, however both were comfortable and clean. Staff is amazing and willing to assist with booking taxis from/to airport. Breakfast included each morning and if you leave before breakfast they offer a pre made bagged breakfast. Area is located conveniently to shopping, eating and the main square.
Hotel is quaint and in the old part of Cusco. Surroundings are filled with shopping and great restaurants and cafe options. Hotel staff greats you with a smile
Very charming small hotel with friendly service. Enjoyed an upgrade to a loft room. Easy walk to square and tourist sites.
This was a lovely property. The staff was excellent and very helpful with ways to acclimate to the altitude. We got great restaurant recommendations and directions around the San Blas area of Cusco. The only issue was that our room faced a small courtyard area that had very bright fluorescent or LED lighting until 10 or 11 at night that the blackout curtains couldn't quite mask.
This is the best place to stay in Cusco! The staff was so helpful and kind! The hotel itself is beautiful with great views and goes above and beyond. Could not recommend this hotel more for your stay.
Our stay at Casa San Blas was absolutely by far the best experience we've ever had!! Every member of the staff was friendly and extremely helpful! Breakfast was delicious in the morning and on mornings we had to leave early, they provided us with prepared packed meals to take on the go. It is only a short walk to the main square and lots of shopping and dining options in walking distance. Anything that was needed whether taxis or dinner recommendations, the staff was there to help! Cannot recommend this place enough. We had a loft room that had the most beautiful view of the city and mountains. They provided us with hot water bags for the beds and had our room warm for us when we came back at the end of the evening! There was construction outside but honestly it didn't affect our stay in the slightest! Will absolutely stay here again if we come back to cusco.
Serious construction ongoing. Extremely loud noise, jackhammers and other machines beginning around 745am
Beautiful hotel, wonderful staff. Loved the availability of purified water. Locations is SUPERB, very close to the plaza de armas. Breakfast was delightful. The pillows are amazing and the views spectacular.
We loved our stay at Casa San Blas and stayed 3 different times during our trip. Casa San Blas was our home away from home, with friendly, helpful staff and a wonderful ambiance. Clean rooms, attention to detail and the location in the artsy center of Cusco was perfect.
What a lovely hotel! Built in a 16th century casona, the ambiance was a great way to start our stays in Peru. The lobby, the rooms, the staff all wonderful. We felt relaxed from the moment we walked in.
My stay here was incredibly comfortable, great breakfast and a stunning view of the city from my room. The staff was very kind and helpful and allowed me to store my backpack safely when I went on a trek to Asuangate. Highly recommend!
Wonderful staff, especially Aida.
We loved our stay! We stayed in the Condor suite for a week and it was lovely. Clean and charming with a wonderful patio overlooking the city. The service was exceptional. Sophia was so gracious and accommodating. Breakfast buffet was very nice and we were served custom eggs every morning. Location was great as well. Superb boutique hotel. Highly recommend if you like boutique hotels with local charm.
All of the staff were very helpful and they went above and beyond to make sure our time in Cusco was excellent.
The view was spectacular. Plus there was a orquestra playing next door.
It was great!
Friendly personnel, clean and confortable installations, free tea and water 24 hrs, included breakfast by Aida
Check-in did not go as planned, as they acted like I had not reserved a room. We ended up staying in the wrong “style” of room, but it ended up being fine. I booked a king suite for my spouse and I, but they gave us a spite with three beds. Sounds like an upgrade, but we didn’t need all three, and the beds were smaller. We ended up sleeping in separate beds, but it wasn’t really a big deal. They brought us hot water bottles in the evening which was amazing! It got chilly, so to have something clay warming your feet was really great. There were loud noises a few nights - fireworks and some kind of fire alarm that sounded like it was in the building, but Cusco is a busy place and there were some festivals at the time. Overall this was a nice place with great views, but just a few drawbacks. I don’t have any point of comparison for the area, so it’s tough to say whether I recommend or not. It worked well for our stay and it was charming.
This was my 2nd time to stay at Casa San Blas and was just as good as the 1st time. The location is in a great area that’s quiet, but within walking distance to the main square and many restaurants. The staff is always super friendly and accommodating. The rooms are decorated very well and the views of the city are great. The only complaint I have was regarding the streaming service connection to the TV. It was very bad - I couldn’t get through more than 5-10 minutes without the connection trying to buffer which made it very hard to enjoy movies at night as we were winding down. Outside of that everything else was perfect especially for the cost. Would definitely suggest staying here and would come back again in the future.
This is a very cute hotel with great breakfast included. The staff was very attentive and every night they will leave a hot water bag at the bottom of the bed between the blanket and the sheets to comfort your feet after a long day of hiking. That detail was worth the stay in this hotel. The only thing that we should had been advised of is that the hotel is on a steep street that is under construction. Due to the construction taxis could not leave you by the door of the hotel, therefore, you had to carry your luggage up the hill which was very difficult due to the construction. I know is not the hotel fault but they should had the courtesy of letting us know before booking. If it wasn't for that inconvenience I would have given them all 5 stars. Location is good with a lot of restaurants and bars close by.
Situated in a great location for tourism. The staff are extremely helpful and accommodating. The beds are very comfortable and the hot water bottle turn down service is much appreciated!
Wonderful staff.. extremely polite and helpful! Beautiful property! Excellent breakfast!
The breakfast was great. and extras in the room- bottled water, hair products, and soaps. Hot water and pressure was perfect. The bed and linens were so comfy. Location was ideal.
Great place
A few issues in checking because they did not find my booking but assured all would be well. The two men were excellent in making sure I had everything I needed. Checked in room was beautiful, clean bathroom the same. I walked for many hours the men again greeted me with bright smiles and kindness. Highly recommend
The property was unique and romantic. We loved it!!
Nice hotel
Nice hotel with very helpful staff. Near San Blas Plaza which is nicer than being near Plaza de Armas. Only downside is the street in front is temporarily closed due to construction so somewhat inconvenient to do pick ups/drop offs.
We had a cute upstairs suite that had a great view of Cusco. The room was clean, and well-furnished. The staff were quite helpful on check-in and helped get a cheap taxi for the ride back to the airport. Highly recommend!
Home Away from Home
This beautiful hotel is not only well located (only couple of blocks from the main plaza), but quiet, clean, and with a great view of the town from its terrace. The breakfast is awesome, and all the staff super friendly, and helpful in many ways. I can't wait to come back again.
The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Rooms and common spaces were very comfortable.
I stayed in a number of hotels in Cusco, and this one was the all-around BEST! Great location, views, friendly staff, lovely breakfast, very clean and all at a great price. The rooms and staff are very thoughtful, they pay attention to details that so many of their competitors miss. Look no futher! This is the place you want!!
Beautiful Chic Hotel
Just like other reviews this place is very clean, staff s gave great service, bed is very comfortable. Breakfast presentation is like in five star hotel. The standard room has two double bed. Will stay here again!
City view, rustic style
Great place in San Blas to enjoy Cusco
Wonderful staff, wonderful hotel
My husband and I are in love with this property! Besides the location, great Andean decor, the exceptional staff went over and above to make us feel welcome, comfortable and treated us like part of the family. I highly recommend this quaint property to everyone coming to Cusco -why stay at a hotel or major chain when you can stay at this fabulous property! Truth be told -we would have paid more!!
The hotel is in a great location, what changed our experience in staying in Casa San Blas was their receptionists. Mijail and Keila were super helpful and nice. They really helped us to enjoy our time in Cusco as we were not familiar with the city. Mijail helped us to make the Macchu Picchu trip! It was impossible to make it happen without his help. Thank you and we'll be back at this place again. Bahar
#1 go to in Cusco
Hotel was quaint and beautiful. The senior suite and terrace were our favorite.
Really enjoy my stay. Cozy, clean room and friendly caring staff. Very close to a fun and central location. I Would love to stay there again.
This is by far the best hotel I’ve ever stayed in! The staff was so help with everything including getting our covid test done right there in the hotel and in 15mins got our results. Casa San Blas is located in one of the most beautiful streets of Cusco. Get the apartment suite! The view from the bedroom loaf is amazing day and night. We will definitely go back to this beautiful quaint
Very unique hotel nestled in Cusco. Lots of shopping and walking to dm around the area. The hotel staff were very friendly and accommodating!
The hotel was clean, the hotel staff was so thoughtful/kind/helpful in helping us organize our Inca Trail hiking tour (through ‘Peru for Less’ & ‘Wayki Tours’ we were able to have our COVID test in the hotel). Amazing breakfast in our hotel room. Beautiful views!
Amazing! Very cozy and excellent service!
I loved this hotel! The staff went above and beyond to accommodate my husband and I. We stayed in the suite apartment that had the best view from the our bed. Such a cute apartment with several restaurants and mini markets to get food. The breakfast was great and they prepared it for us at 6:30a before our departure home. Such a great place to stay and would definitely stay here again.
Everything was absolutely great, the staff were so friendly and helpful, rooms were great, would highly recommend!!
I like hot water bottles at night to keep your feet warm. I didn't like one of the front desk girls who made a massage appointment without confirming with me. Then said i woukd be charged!
Great staff, wonderful location in the San Blas area of Cusco. Great breakfast, very picturesque hotel!
Great overall San Blas Boutique stay!
Overall great stay. I really liked this place when I got there in terms of location, views, vibe, etc. In the middle of the first night, I ended up needing medical attention for altitude sickness. They were beyond helpful and the rest of the staff made sure to check on me in a very caring manner for the rest of my stay, even offering to have breakfast delivered to my room the morning I returned from the ER. Highly recommended!
tiny place,
good hotel, but compact rooms. very close to main area.no ventilation Getting a cab to this location is a nightmare, it is on one way tiny street.
Loud rooms and unprofessional staff
Would not stay again. The hotel was reasonably priced, spacious rooms. But our room was right next to the lobby and share a window with the lobby, making for a very loud night. They also were pretty sleezy. One issue that we felt slightly perturbed by was they had wine sitting on the counter upon our arrival, but no list of a minibar adjacent to the wine or in the hotel manual. We opened it and the next day were notified of the charge; upon complaining that we had no idea it was not free (they had free water and chocolate in the room!) they showed us the minibar list that was tucked away in the cabinet (not next to any food). I'd like to think this was by mistake, but we felt pretty tricked and did not feel like the hotel responded in a fair way. The front desk said that there was a mistake with the location of the minibar list, but that we would have the pay the cost of the mistake. Save yourself some sleeze and don't stay here.
Vale la pena
Excelente ubicación del hotel, en una zona segura y cerca del casco histórico. La atención de todo el personal merece destacarse por su profesionalidad y trato muy amable. Las camas son cómodas y el desayuno muy bueno.
Casa San Blas has a great family story that you have to read about when you get a room. The staff is extremely helpful and patient. They know how to treat tourists. You are really in the heart of it all with this Hotel !
Highly recommended
This hotel is so cute with nice decor, very clean room and super friendly service. It is located on a hill above the main square, which offers a great view and easy access to the local restaurants and stores. I wish we could stay there longer. If we ever go back to Cusco, we would stay at this hotel again.
Excellent and friendly staff. Beautiful property! This place has Cusco character!!! Delicious food at the restaurant. Extra points for the hot water packs to keep your bed and toes warm through the night!!!!
We loved this hotel! The people were never anything but kind and helpful. It stands out from others by providing little extra touches, like delivering hot water bottles each evening to warm up the beds for the cold June nights; and assisting with your travels needs, like storing your bags when you go to Machu Picchu over night. Although the location is perfect, right behind the Plaza de Armas and the center of all activity in Cusco, it IS up a very steep hill. That hill, though, is lined with gorgeous textile and Peruvian crafts' stores, and there is a simple solution. Always walk down, but take a taxi back up!
I am not one to generally leave reviews, but this lovely and charming boutique hotel with it's very pleasant and helpful staff got me to write my first expedia review. We were welcomed with a nice hot cup of Coca Tea, the hotel is walking distance to Plaza de armas, but the walk back can be a little challenging, as you have to walk uphill. Breakfast was included as part of booking. Breakfast starts at 5:30, but they were willing to pack us something if our excursion would start earlier. They helped me book Cabs and make plans for my stay there. Will definitely recommend this to friends and will go back
Room a bit noisy but staff very nice
Very good place, the stuff goes the extra mile to make sure your stay is satisfactory :)
Friendly and professional staff who are very accommodating. The room I had was quite comfortable with high quality bedding. The display of free filtered water and special teas to assist guests in acclimating to Cusco’s high altitude was a nice touch, and certainly appreciated. And the breakfast buffet was far superior to a similarly priced hotel in the States.
Friendly and very helpful staff from airport pick up to airport drop off everything was well organized. Restaurant had very good food and prompt service. Located 3 blocks from main square so easy access to restaurants, shopping and things to do
Great stay
Great location, staff very accomodating, cleanliness was outstanding, breakfast very good. I would definitely go back there again.
An amazing hotel in a great part of Cusco that is walkable to all the main sites, including the main plaza. The hotel arranged complimentary driver pick-up at the airport for us, in which a rep gave us a bit of info and told us to take it easy with altitude, etc. Very helpful info and a nice service. The hotel check-in was quick, efficient, and very friendly. They helped with our heavy luggage which was great. I think because we were on our honeymoon, they upgraded our room to one with a great view!! The room was amazing. It was clean with all kinds of amenities especially for the kitchen. The shower was very nice too. The bed was comfy and the views were unbeatable. I would stay here again!
Great location. The room is very clean and nice. The breakfast was very good too.
View is misleading: except from bed
Do not expect views off a patio, those are really misguided. The real view was from the upstairs bedroom, off of the stairs. There is a patio, but with roof views - pictures are misleading. The breakfast is alright. The security is a bit stressful - my husband got into the room with a driver's license. The walls are thin, yes, thin. Which means - you hear everything of people walking down the stairs. Check in was ok. You cannot drink the water or use it to brush your teeth (all of Peru) - so you have to ask to keep it full (a bottle water canister in your room). There is a warm hot water bottle they place in your bed - OMGosh - that is nice and toasts your toes. The bathroom is downstairs - which kind of is uncool. If the door had better security, it would made us feel better. I wish they had a place to put luggage downstairs by bathroom - because that is where you take your stuff to and from. The upstairs means you have to carry more. The hotel is on one of those streets like steep streets in San Francisco - so you walk to other places. It is a good place and close to the square, sites, restaurants and shopping.
Nice hotel. Friendly staff and great location. Clean, good food and great price.
Great hidden gem near main plaza
We (family of 4) LOVED Casa San Blas. The hotel location was perfect, just a few min walk down a quaint artsy street to the main plaza de Armas. ATMs, shops, and restaurants lined the narrow vibrant street; there was never a dull moment. We booked two loft rooms on the top floor with a nice kitchenette (which we didn't use, unfortunately) and fridge; some view to the hillside too. Nice bathroom and comfortable robes (and hot water bottle in bed at night). There's no central heating but our portable heater kept us all toasty. A small café on F1 was convenient and offered nice selection of fruits and cold cuts and cereals for breakfast. One can also order eggs prepared anyway you like. Alexandra in the café was super friendly and helpful; her smile brightened our mornings. A beautiful small church and plaza, and many fabulous restaurants just up the street from the hotel. We had a wonderful time and explored many places on foot from the hotel (including Sacsayhuaman ruins). I highly recommend this hotel.
Just a few extra blocks from the main square, but very walkable. A nice quiet haven in Cusco
We arrived after a long night, were well received and given a cup of coca tea and maca to help us deal with the altitude and fatigue. We were given great advice, hot water bottles to warm the beds at night and they let us hold our luggage the day of departure. Breakfast was great. Would absolutely recommend.
Great location. You need to walk a bit uphill but that adds to the atmosphere. Room was comfortable, especially with the heater that they gave us. Breakfast was delicious.
Loved staying here for two nights. It was quiet and secluded but also close to various restaurants and shops. The staff was exceptional. Would definitely recommend!
Excellent everything
From check in to check out the staff was incredible. Don’t stay anywhere else in cusco.
Great spot, nice place
From the moment we checked in we were accommodated when something was requested. The type of room we booked was not what was given and when I pointed it out they apologised and bought us lunch. Lunch wasn’t great but it’s the thought that counts. 👍 Casa San Blas is perfectly located to access the main square and surrounding sites. Our room had a loft bed with a view to the stars and lights In the hills across the valley. There was a singing teacher next door so if you like opera or aspiring opera singers, you are in luck lol. We had a bottle of wine and smiled as it was a pleasant day . Breakfast is included and both the service and food were fine. You might want to leave it at that though as far as food and wine go. Go elsewhere Or do what we did;find a store and buy your own wine! It’s a narrow street to the CSB so expect some arm wrestling with bags if you brought more than your treking pack. Really, everything g was good till our very early check out . We were left to get our own bags d own the stairs from the room and the tha shuttle was supposed to be provided. Instead a taxi guy showed up and he happily took the $50 sole bill I gave him at 4:30 am , instead of the $10 . My fault but no homie shown. Little things. I would recommmend the CSB all in all.
Lovely hotel with character and the nicest staff!
Casa San Blas Boutique Hotel was the perfect place for my husband I to call home in Cusco. All of the staff were so nice, and the hotel itself was clean, beautiful, and had character. Yes, the walk up the hill could be challenging, but we thought of it as "helping us acclimate" to the elevation. The location was great- everything was within walking distance. They had fresh water available all the time, as well as hot tea and coca leaves in the lobby. I got a massage (it cost about $45 US dollars) and it was amazing. Hot water, comfy beds, they even brought in hot water bladders at night to put at the foot of the bed for your feet. Breakfast was included and consisted of a buffet style spread with coffee, tea, oatmeal/cereals, fruit and toast- plus they would cook you eggs. I loved this hotel and would go back in a heartbeat. Highly recommended.
Fantastic!
A great place to stay. It is in a very lively neighborhood, yet serene and private. We had a third floor suite with a terrace, and amazing views of the city. The staff were very friendly and capable. I have only positive things to say about the Casa San Blas Boutique Hotel.
I appreciated the location. A few feet off the street, an adjacent cafe with outside tables, friendly and helpful staff. The hotel provides water in the lobby to refill your water bottles-very useful. There’s a nice upstairs terrace for reading or gazing across the valley. There’s also a music school next door - we heard some arias and classic rock. Ask for interior room if you are concerned about music. Enjoyable experience!
Nice hotel near the city center
Good breakfast. Very helpful staff. Close to the city center.
Best Hotel!
We had an amazing stay at this hotel! All of the staff were friendly and helpful. I had questions about local services and they provided me with accurate information. The location is perfect, the rooms are great, and the price is right! I can't say enough wonderful things about this hotel. If I am in Cusco again I will absolutely stay here.
Wonderful!!
Awesome hotel and great service! Comfortable, good WiFi, great area. Would definitely stay again & recommend it to everyone!
A hostel not a Boutique
In many travelers minds, a boutique hotel implies comfort with a unique character either of style or design. The hotel is a reconstructed family house in a charming ally in the San Blas area, which is just that. It is not rich, nor does it fall into a "Boutique" category. Beds are hard, bathrooms minimalist, more like a hostel.Service is very basic but not exceptional. Staff are not well trained and speak poor English. Breakfast staff are friendly and the manager will come and ask if everything is OK but that's it. We gave our laundry worth $400 in the morning for same day cleaning, which is available at every street corner in Cusco, to find out in the evening prior to departure that it was not delivered back. Could not get the hotel manager to come sort this out and ended up leaving the following morning without it! The manager who promised to sort this out in the morning offered to waiver the hotel stay of $190 in exchange. We had no other options and had to continued our trip for the next 10 days with half our clothes and $210 behind. Peru tourist authority should set better categorizing, regulatory and monitoring system for the mushrooming "boutique" accomodation facilities. This one is a 2.5 at best.
Great place to stay, highly recommend! Thank you.
Great hotel in Cusco
Great boutique hotel in nice setting close to the centre of Cusco. Everything was good about it including the evening delivery of a hot bottle for the bed
Over rated and over priced - noisy
Receptionist was rude. Rooms are very noisy as the doors are all hollow core composite - you can hear conversations on the other side of the door clear as day. We checked out after one night. Bed as hard as plywood. No fan in the bathroom. Electrical problem in the room - one Light flickered and made buzzing noises whenever turned on. I have no idea how this hotel showed 4.5 stars when I booked it - should be 2.5 - 3 stars at best.
First time in Peru!
Casa San Blas Boutique Hotel is the perfect hotel to explore the main plaza of Cusco and have shops and restaurants at your fingertips. Staff was so friendly and accommodating and the yogurt they serve at breakfast is absolutely delicious. We stayed on the top floor which was separated from the rest of the rooms and overlooked the plaza and surrounding homes. If you have a choice I recommend requesting the top room and then you can enjoy coffee on the terrace tables.
Great service, great location
My wife and I visited Cusco and stayed here for 4 days and had a great experience. First of all, it’s in a great location just about a 5 minute walk to plaza de armas and about 10 minutes to the central market in Cusco. All the shopping, restaurants and bars you can want, plus 5-10 minutes to the ruins of Sacssayhuaman. The thing that made our experience so great was the service we received, especially from Robinzon, who was beyond helpful and thoughtful. We arrived almost 5 hours before check in, however Robinzon immediately organized getting our room ready. While that took place, he got out a map of the city, gave us directions to where to shop, recommended restaurants and gave us tips about the city. We also informed him we had a tour to Machu Picchu the next morning and were to be picked up at 4:15 am. He then made sure that a bagged breakfast would be waiting for us to take on our journey to Machu Picchu, which we thought was very thoughtful and kind. The day before we left, we asked if Robinzon could organize a taxi to the airport for the next morning, which he did for half the money we paid to get from the airport to the hotel. Then he asked if we had checked in and had boarding passes for our flight, which we had not. He logged on to the computer, checked us in and printed out our boarding passes. Thank you for your help and if we ever go to Cusco again we will definitely stay at Casa San Blas Boutique Hotel
