Dont miss this place
WOW--I cant say enough about this place. Tranquility when you walk thru the doors. Excellent front desk and then the room. Unbelievable. 15" door's--40" high cathedral ceilings w/ beautiful wood work. Huge bathroom. Perfect location... Right in the middle of walled city but not in all the mess. So perfect. Cant miss....
The staff was very helpful especially Erik. The hotel was clean. The water does not get very hot but maybe that is how it is here. Will stay here again.
Casa Quero is a top notch hotel. i have stayed twice and both times have been excellent.
Excelente y hermosa propiedad, en la noche es muy obscura la calle
The staff were fantastic. This gets a high recommendation from me
We loved casa quero! Steak was very attentive. Place is beautiful!
The pool is under repair and only after I make the reservation and paid the bill someone of the hotel send me a text telling that the pool was closed until after mid May. Pretty bad …
My friend Gina and I had a terrific stay at Casa Quero Hotel. The facility is just beautiful, with large, comfortable rooms, and the location could not be better, within walking distance to most sites and restaurants. The staff is excellent -- Antonio is extremely affable and helpful; his smile brightened our day. We would not hesitate to return to this hotel the next time we're in Cartagena.
Great hotel, only thing I didn’t like was the padlock the doorway to exit the building after hours. Just a little worrisome if you have to leave in a hurry! Other than that it’s homey and quaint!
Excellent service. Very customer oriented.
The hotel is beautiful - very relaxing!
Nice
Great stay. Great staff
Excellent option for Walled City walks.
Sweet In Town hotel
We loved this quaint and historic hotel. Our room was spacious and lovely. The rooftop deck is comfortable and considered. Unfortunately we had to leave very early so missed the breakfast experience. Would likely stay again.
Very nicely kept casa, fantastic quiet but accessible location with wonderful staff and spotless clean!! We feel like aesthetically it could get more attention, and we had some plumbing issues in the shower.. I just need some facilities update in that regard. Otherwise very well equipped
Loved this hotel and would definitely stay again. Rooftop pool is perfect, breakfast is delicious and rooms are clean and spacious. Only minor complaint was hot water in the shower wasn't mixing properly so it would alternate between too hot or luke warm. Totally a minor problem. Overall I really enjoyed the stay and wish we had stayed longer.
LOVED this hotel! Awesome part of town, cute streets, close to amazing restaurants. Spacious rooms, delicious breakfast, great water pressure in the shower! We will definitely be back!
I really loved the staff! They were very sweet about anything I needed. The property is old but will maintained.
The hotel is remarkable. Beautiful, spacious, huge rooms with balconies onto a quiet courtyard or historic streetscape. Amazing breakfasts (Thanks Ena!) and the most helpful staff I have ever met (Yes you Adriana and the team!). I have travelled a lot but have never experienced a that is so beautiful, comfortable, elegant and homey all at the same time. I will never forget the wonderful week we had at Casa Quero.
Amazing location in the old city
An amazingly beautiful and quaint location in the walled city of Cartagena. Very friendly staff. Large rooms with all amenities and a lovely breakfast. Highly recommended
This property made me feel like this was my home away from home. This boutique hotel only has 7 rooms. We stayed in one of the rooms facing the street with a beautiful balcony, and I loved having my coffee there in the mornings. What amazed me was that the entry door was very high. Once I entered the room, I was awed to see the high ceiling throughout the whole unit, including the bathroom. All the grounds in this property are beautiful, close to everything, and within walking distance of the main parts. The staff was terrific and went out and beyond to make our stay memorable. Our stay included breakfast every day; let me tell you, it was delicious, and different options were available. I can't wait to return to Cartagena, and believe me; I will be staying at Casa Quero again; I truly recommend them.
Beautiful hotel…excellent service…had that historic Cartagena feel while still having the best amenities. The morning breakfast was outstanding. Made my stay In Cartagena all the more pleasurable.
Excellent
Quiet restful rooms. Lovely courtyards. Nice breakfast. Excellent location. Highly recommended.
Casa Quero was fabulous!! The neighborhood was just off the busy area and once you entered the hotel you found true peace. Location was perfect, staff was amazing and the room terrific. I would recommend to anyone
Great experience, great staff. Great place to stay in Cartagena
We absolutely loved this mini-hotel (seven rooms). We got the two rooms on the street with a connected balcony which was a very pleasant place to sit in the morning. The room itself had the highest ceiling I have ever seen - it was literally 25-30 feet high. The bathroom had the same ceiling height, plus a double shower and a jacuzzi tub. The overall property is beautiful and peaceful, and the neighborhood of San Diego is the best in Cartagena - a 5-10 minute walk to all the action, but quiet, calm and upscale, with several of the town's best restaurants just around the corner. The staff were very friendly but like much of Colombia, only spoke Spanish. Breakfast was a feast served (not a buffet). The pool area on the roof was under renovation but still open; it would be great if they made it a bit more green/lush like some of the neighboring pools. Overall a fantastic place - strongly recommend.
Excellent location and breakfast. Nice views from rooftop pool. Internet spotty. Room not as nice as in the photos. Enjoyed the hammocks and rocking chairs.
This property is very well located in the center of the old city Very cute boutique hotel and very nice staff Recommended for family or couple
the feeling of going back in time
Nice but need some remodeling
I love the size of the room.
Nice quiet and comfortable place to stay imn Cartagena. Location was fantastic and staff were great. Would stay again - for sure!
A stunning traditional colonial style property and our room was huge (we got the large one with the balcony). Everything was clean and the staff were amazing - always friendly and approachable and ready to help. They took great care of us even up to the last moment when we were leaving and ensured all our luggage was transported to the taxi without us lifting a finger. For me and my partner the stay was perfect. If you are looking for an American-style hotel stay and breakfast then it may not be your thing but for us, the location was great, the property gorgeous and the breakfast more than enough to start the day with (fruit, juice, marmalade & bread and a choice of fried or scrambled eggs cooked to your liking on the spot). The rooms had fans and aircon and were a welcome refuge from the baking heat of Cartagena. The terrace with the pool was lovely for an afternoon break and you were spoilt for choice with different cosy sitting areas throughout the property if you simply wanted to settle down with your book for a bit. Would definitely go back there again :)
Personal amable y educado. Buenas habitaciones y desayuno. Localización en el centro pero reservada, muy bueno.
Everything was Superb!!!
My stay at Casa Quero Hotel Boutique was exceptional!!! My living quarters were beautiful and the hotel staff were extremely kind and made sure that all of my needs and desires were fulfilled. I ighly recommend this Hotel to anyone who visits Cartagena!
Room musty
Welcoming quiet place
Fun little quiet hotel. Make sure to get the awesome room with balcony.
Beautiful colonial home, gorgeous decor, a five star experience, super clean, friendly staff, my best experience in Cartagena
Great team but doors and locks need to be updated and replaced. Also, emailed twice prior to arrival and no response received.
Well located, but overpriced for what it is. Pretry basic rooms for the price.
Friendly, accommodating staff. Great location; easy to walk to shopping, restaurants, attractions. Pleasant, comfortable common areas to relax in the hotel. Roof-top pool. Great breakfast with options.
Nice hotel and very friendly staff. Great location to old town .
Stayed here for 6 nights with my wife and 5 year old son. The room (condessa / grand suite ) was enormous and well equipped. We had a balcony , a massive bed and a temporary bed for my son. We loved going to the pool on the roof every morning and the breakfast was great. The staff were friendly and accommodating too. Really great location in centro historico where everything is basically within a 10 minute walk. I wouldn't hesitate booking again. top notch.
Great service, friendly hosts! The beds were comfortable and the room was larger than expected.
I've stayed at this boutique hotel 2x now, and I will go back. The location is excellent, the space is charming, breakfast delicious and the while it's small, I love the roof top pool. Highly recommend!
Cute hotel fitting in with the style and decor of the old town. Rooms have window AC but it’s not centrally air conditioned
Cozy feel, secure, and attentive service. Elsa was excellent! Convenient location!! Will be back!
Great old city stay
Wonderful city center hotel. Tastefully built into an old home. The rooms were spacious and well equipped. The staff were very helpful. Old Cartagena was right on the doorsteps.
Beautiful, peaceful, perfect!
Great little boutique hotel in the center of the old town! A 5-10 minute walk from anywhere we wanted to go. So cute and quaint, the breakfast was delicious, and all the employees were so nice! My only small complaint is that noise in the courtyard can be heard in the room, but it’s not too bad! A beautiful oasis in the middle of the city, enjoy!!
The absolute most perfect beyond par experience one can hope for. Everything was absolutely perfect.
As a small boutique hotel it provides a wonderful level of privacy, along with fine amenities (roof top pool, excellent breakfast, AC) which make for a relaxing and comfortable stay. A great choice for location and a way to escape the heat in Cartagena. Walkable to many restaurants, museums, and nightlife. Would highly recommend to anyone considering a visit to Cartagena.
The entire staff was amazing !!!!!!!!!! It was like beign Home. Thank you for the wonderfull experience. We will see you soon
Amazing stay! Was an oasis in middle of the hustle and bustle of the center of Cartagena. Wonderful and helpful staff, comfortable room & public areas of the hotel. Highly recommend!
It felt like home. It started out with my fiance and I arriving hours earlier than check-in due to an early flight. Even though we were early, the staff worked hard to get us into our room as soon as possible. While we waited, we chatted with the owner, who was extremely friendly and provided many recommendations of things to do during our trip. This type of treatment didn't end at check-in as the staff, especially Elsie and Jacqueline, went above and beyond in making us feel like we were in our own home. On our last day, we got amazing massages. The staff do everything in their power to make sure you have a relaxing and memorable experience. Plus, the house is amazingly beautiful in its architecture and has many communal locations that are extremely relaxing, such as a second floor lounge area with hammocks and a third floor roof deck with swimming pool. It is for these and many other reasons, that there is only one place we recommend you stay if you are headed to Cartagena: that's Casa Quero.
Staff was great very helpful. Quiet retreat in the heart of the Walled City
Beautiful hotel located in prime location. The whole setup is dreamy and rustic.
A Traveler's Dream Come True!
Casa Quero is a traveler's dream come true! It has everything you could want: lovely property, central location, large and beautiful rooms/bathrooms (w/ A/C and WiFi), delicious made-to-order breakfast each day and a staff that was friendly, attentive, and went above and beyond to make sure our stay was perfect. Also, Casa Quero is very secure, private and quiet. Many thanks to all the staff for such a wonderful vacation and a special thanks to Elsi, Jesus, Cindy and Angelica. If you have time while at Casa Quero, treat yourself to an incredible massage from Yorleidis. We've told everyone about our stay here and recommend it highly! 5+ stars! We look forward to another visit.
the property was clean. the hotel had a sun room and small pool at the top and hammocks on the second floor which we enjoyed during our stay. We had a basement room which led out to the courtyard. what we liked most about the room was it was quiet - silent - which is not always the case even at 5 star colombian hotels. it also had a steam bath which we did not use.
Great location. Very nice room size. Would recommend.
Beautiful unique property with old charm. Room was very large and clean. Great location. Highly recommend if looking for a quiet smaller boutique experience.
Staff are all very friendly and helpful. Grand suite is very big and nice, but the balcony looks out to another building that you can almost touch. We still loved it! If you book the junior suite, I would recommend the "balconies" one on the second floor.
Incredible boutique hotel located in a quiet part of the old city but close to many of the places you will want to visit. The stag are both friendly and capable, with all the small details addressed.
Beautiful hotel with "Pica" the Tucan, gorgeous room, lxurious bathroom with a hot tub, and great service! It's also centrally located en la Ciudad Murallada. AMAZING!
Nice hotel close to everything the staff and breakfast
Great historical feeling, This is used to be a Count's home. The staff was great and super attentive. We had a two year old and everyone was friendly and helpful. Breakfast which was delicious, was included so we didn't have to leave early to eat. The location was also very centralized and we could walk everywhere.
Crazy Noise - Impossible to relax
The hotel is fabulous, however, there is heavy construction going on next door. This means that VERY loud noise of power tools is present starting 8:30 am. I tried relaxing from my room, from the pool, from the breakfast area: IMPOSSIBLE. Check if there will be constructions before booking, if there is, plan something else. PLenty of awesome hotels in the area to have a power tool on your ears at all times.
Great hotel
Great hotel, great staff, quiet room. Excelente location inside the walled vity
Quaint small hotel in nice, quiet area
Great locatio, walking distance to all of old town and Getsemani but on a quiet street. Wonderful room, good a/c, nice pool to cool down in afternoon, friendly staff. Same breakfast every day but has fruit, bread, juice, coffee and eggs. Jesse did great job helping with trip to Rosario Islands.
lovely perfect place
My wife is in love with this place. from the location to the staff and the rooms everything was amazing. it kind of became our spot.
It was such a wonderful stay. Wish we could have stayed longer. Central location. Beautiful quaint hotel and the staff is so friendly and helpful.
Charming hotel in old city
We had a lovely stay at Casa Quero. The lobby and common spaces were cool and peaceful - a welcome contrast to the bustle outside. Our room was clean, lovely, and very spacious, with a high wooden ceiling and large windows. The bathroom was also huge and well-appointed,
A dream!
We had an INCREDIBLE time at Hotel Casa Quero. The entire staff is lovely and thoughtful and the hotel is breathtaking. We'd definitely recommend it!
Very Cute Hotel
Extremely beautiful hotel on a very tranquil block in the old city.
Great location
Great location in walled city, easy access to get around Hotel and staff were very nice Having more then 1 English/bilingual speaking staff would have been helpful Noisy environment with construction next door House toucan noisy in the early morning and our room on 1st floor facing courtyard allows noise to be easily heard
This hotel is truly wonderful.
I was unprepared for the beauty of this hotel. It was stunning. I am soooooo very glad I didn't book the room in one of the beach side resorts. I'm sure they're perfect and if I had been in a relax-and-beach mode I'd have enjoyed them just fine, but I was really glad to be in the middle of one of the older parts of the city surrounded by incredible restaurants, quaint shops, horse drawn carriages and happy tourists and happy Colombians. Plus the staff here are very friendly and helpful. The rooftop pool is wonderful as was my room; a two-person shower, jacuzzi, big screen tv, balcony, and AC. When I return in a few months I am definitely returning. This hotel delivered on the quality for a reasonable cost.
Plaster falling from ceiling & cockroach
Asked staff to help schedule day trip to Playa Blanca and trip was cancelled last minute. Plaster was falling from the ceiling onto our bed. Hot water in the shower ran out after 3 minutes. Bath tub did not work. We had to kill a cockroach in our room on our final night. Ordered expensive drinks by hotel pool which took 40 minutes to arrive and order was wrong. Outdated decor.
Place staff
CLean and staff very friendly Lose to everything
Beautiful Boutique Hotel with Wonderful Staff
A great hotel, super clean, incredibly charming, wonderful breakfast and a toucan! Highly recommend.
Love Casa Quero, great staff, food, location. I will return!
Great Boutique Hotel
If you're looking for a great place to stay in Cartagena then Hotel Quero is it!! The Staff is very attentive, the rooms are clean and with only 7 rooms it's quiet and peaceful 😊
Overpriced
We booked a 3 night stay at Casa Quero as wanted some luxury and relaxation after 3 weeks backpacking. We were given the Refugio room which on ground floor just past the breakfast room. I was shocked when we walked in as it absolutely stank of damp and couldn't believe anyone would sleep in there. We were told they would move us the next day which was far from ideal as meant we couldn't unpack so was very unsettling and not a great start especially when we were spending so much money on the room! I was underwhelmed and disappointed by the poor customer service and poor standards of the place. When we were moved to our new room India, it was nice enough but did not feel like a junior suite which I had booked and it didn't have any hot water. I think you can find much nicer places for the same or even lower price.
Wonderful little hotel!
Great boutique Cartagena hotel! The staff bent over backwards to meet our every need. Our room, Condessa, was large, very comfortable and well air conditioned. Food was quite good as well for a quaint in-house meal. The only minor area of improvement would be in maintenance of facilities. A solid 4+/5 hotel in the midst of colonial Cartagena superstars.
Amazing romantic converted Latin manor
Great hotel/b&b. High end local experience. Enormously high ceilings in suites give a feeling of great opulence; stellar bathroom and attention to details. 24 hour service staff extremely courteous and multi lingual.
Calm and quaint stay
You arrive at a door with a bell on the street. The door is answered always by staff and you enter into a cool and lush courtyard with large palms, birds, and comfortable couches. It is very quiet. We went upstairs to our room which was large with a wonderful bath with double showers and a large jetted tub. We had a safe and small refrig. A large ceiling fan and air conditioner kept the room wonderful. Enjoyed our stay here. The only very small problem was a hostel across the street where we could hear the people from their balcony but it was so slight not to cause a problem. Staff was great and the breakfast was pleasant. They had bikes available to take around the city. Easy access to the city. Loved the colorful lanterns hanging in the street! This is a conde nast rated b&b.
Great people, great value, horrible beaches
In town beaches are poor. Baku playa Blanca is a must miss- 1 hour car ride each way through some of the ugliest industrial countryside I have ever seen. Machete weilding locals stop all cars and ask for a 3000 CBP "conteibution" to road clearing. Then, the. Each is so crowded you cant walk, stand, or get in water without canned sardines coming to mind. Food service is good, drinks are good. BEWARE of all massage women, trinket vendors, hair braiders etc. INCEDIBLY aggresive, persistent, will not leave you alone. " no" , just lets them ask your name, where you are from. Shopping in town caries from high class to mostly junk. Anytime you spend more than 200,000 CPB in. Store get an invoice and your charge bill!!! At the airport you will get 16% back on your credit card! Will I return. Probably not. Beach situation is 99% of why.
Love this place
It was amazing I didn't want to leave. The food was made fresh and it was great. Location was amazing. Can't say enough good things about this place.
Nice hotel, quite atmosphere, very secure.
My husband and I enjoyed our visit to Cartagena, and made the right decision to stay in the City Center, is the best part of Cartagena, very nice colonial ambiance, easy to walk to everywhere and to see all the different attractions within the city center. The people in general, very nice, friendly, and they do not insist in you buying from them, they will offer their products, but if you say you're not interested, they leave you alone. Beatyful colonial restored houses, flowers on their balconies everywhere, beautiful entrance doors that makes the Colonial architecture shine. The churches are beautiful. Indeed quite impress with the overall experience. You find security patrolling or walking in the city center, which gives you a sense of security. The city is the perfect getaway for a couple days of rest. The Hotel were we stayed was very comfortable, rooms very spacious and the service personnel very nice and attentive.
A wonderful visit to Cartagena
We visited Cartagena for our honeymoon and stayed a week in Casa Quero, a beautiful colonial house restored into a boutique hotel/B&B. We loved that it only had seven rooms so it never felt overly busy or crowded. The staff was friendly and attentive, they all went above and beyond our expectations, and made us feel at home. Our room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. The rooftop pool was well kept, had great views, and was perfect for relaxing after a day exploring the city. The breakfast was delicious, we appreciated that they had a variety of options, all fresh and made to order. It is also walking distance to many restaurants (across the street from La Mulata), stores, and attractions. Definitely recommend it!
Quintessential Cartagena
This 7 room boutique hotel is a converted private home with a lovely central courtyard with 2 beautiful toucans. Entering the hotel one realizes the privacy, however, it is very hot. At any rate, we were warmly greeted and shown our large room which had wonderful air-conditioning. We had all of the amenities expected, although at most hotels, as with this one, there are no wash cloths. The breakfast staff were lovely and served a variety of menu options such as the iconic arepa. I would recommend, if you do not speak any Spanish, to study a few words such as left, right, reservations, wake-up call, etc. Spanish is definitely the primary language. The location is very good. It is near the San Diego Plaza and near the Santa Clara (Sofitel) hotel and right near the city walls.
Solid hotel option in Cartagena. Quiet street and hotel, close to good restaurants, squares, ramparts and major sights and also a few blocks away from the very busy shopping area.
great!
Far beyond my expectations. Beautiful hotel with a great staff. I would definitely stay there again.
Lovely oasis in the Walled City
Casa Quero was a quiet and relaxing little hotel in the Walled City. Morning breakfast provided coffee, juice, bread, eggs, etc. Rooftop pool was beautiful and relaxing, and there were also several seating areas around to relax. Perfect for a mid-afternoon siesta and swim in between wandering around the city. Rooms were comfortable and spacious with great bathrooms! The staff was very friendly, welcoming, and patient with our questionable Spanish. Highly recommend!
We would highly recommend this delightful hotel. It is in a perfect location, friendly staff, spotless, and the property itself is heavenly. And great food! Perfect!
Lovely boutique hotel within the walled city in Cartagena. Small, personalized and the Grand Suite is gorgeous. Reception staff and welcome could improve but everything else is excellent.
A gem inside the wall
I chose this hotel just because it was inside the city wall, I was really surprised, great place, really nice old building in great condition, way different and better than regular chain hotels. My girlfriend loved it, the staff was always very polite and helpful! I will be back for sure in my next Cartagena trip.
A+ staff, clean, private, quiet..
I had 2 rooms for a week for 3 guests total. The neighborhood is pretty typical for inside the walled city. It is not in a very busy spot so you don't have as much noise as the ones in busier locations. It's a short walk to everything. The staff was A+ and they are what I liked best. It is very private compared to the larger brand name hotels. There's a small rooftop pool that I used a few times and it was very nice and clean. I would stay there again.
I recommend
Very comfortable boutique hotel within walking distance everywhere. They have bicycles Available.the staff is very friendly
Loved every minute of it...
Great experience! The bnb is very cozy and quaint. They provide superb service and are eager to make sure you are comfortable with your stay. The room was very clean and nice and the rooftop pool is a fantastic spot to relax. I will definitely stay there again.

Beautiful hotel in a great location. It was so clean and quiet and I loved the breakfast. Lovely staff as well.
