Mazatlán finest!!!
Allways a nice place to stay!!!
Property was quiet and staff was friendly and accommodating
Special Place
We wish that we could have stayed longer than a week. Staff are very attentive and friendly. Restaurant quite good.Would recommend to anyone who prefers a small hotel with personalized service.
Dining credit not honored
I enjoyed my stay at Casa Lucila for the second time. However, I was very disappointed with the fact that they refused to honor the $25 dining credit I was supposed to receive as a silver member when I booked the room with hotels.com. I wish I would have known this before I had my breakfast and had to pay for an additional charge.
The property did not honor upgrade option, said I need to contact Expedia to get the room upgrade.
Nice little boutique hotel located close to the Old Town and right across from the Malcom. The staff was very friendly and the cleaning crew did a good job of making the bed and providing us towels each day. The restaurant is quite good. That's kind of where the positive stuff stops. For multiple days and multiple hours each day there was a jackhammer being used on property. Pretty much made it impossible to relax in your room or at the pool due to the noise. One morning they were setting up for a large crowd for lunch and started moving chairs and tables at sunrise - roughly 6:00 a.m. Some quick background -The rooms at the property are located around a central courtyard . When they were moving the furniture and hollering at each other, it certainly became impossible to sleep. They don't seem to have a lot of respect for the fact that they have people staying in the rooms. A couple of other things you should be aware of - they do have a pool but it's the size of a large jacuzzi with only six lounge chairs. There are no real good public spaces to sit and relax and the rooms pretty much have a bed and the necessaries. There's no where's good to sit in the rooms either. This is listed as a four-star property but I wouldn't give it anything more than three stars.
I would definitely recommend and come again. I am so thankful for the staff they are definitely dedicated and made my stay very enjoyable.
Everyone was very nice and helpful! it was an easy experience and I really enjoyed my room with the balcony overlooking the ocean. The spa was a cute little room where I had a great massage, and I was staying by myself, but felt super safe, walking from the hotel to the beach and all around the historical district.
unpleasant
I have stayed in this property for many years. This last time it was very unpleaseant. I stayed in the Conchita Room. The staff would not conduct their normal room service, when asking for a refill on a beverage, i was told they were NOT offering daily refills in their Refrigerator. WHen they were, they wouldn't offer the daily room service. It was very disappointing.
The amazing view it offers. Right by the ocean… AMAZING sunsets you can experience as well as sunrises. Would definitely stay there again! Very comfortable bed.
Lovely hotel. Close to the malecón. The restaurant was perfect for breakfast.
The staff was very friendly and eager to please. The location was perfect for our needs. The breakfasts were very good and the much needed air conditioning was great.
How helpful they were was excellent
Excelente lugar muy padre muy bonito su amabilidad de sus empleados su comida del restaurante es lo mejor que he probado gracias 💯💯💯
COMFORT, FRIENDLY, AND NICE.
My experience at Casa Lucila was excellent, the room is big and bathroom, have a big shower and a Jacuzzi inside bathroom, qe stayed in Lucy room, it has AC and cealing fan, swimming pool is to small but for us was great because we was the only ones in there 😀 service was great, food is great, we eat breakfast only but it was so good, drinks, they have a variety of wines, mixology and cocktails, the personal was very friendly, attentive and nice, I definitely will return, its a small hotel, but cozzy, it is great for couples only.
Staff was super friendly and the rooms were well kept for an older building.
Everything about this place! Their espresso martinisss!
Everything is excellent
Beautiful Clwan Property
The bed was a comfy king size and the room was very quiet and restfull. The menu was limited and made even worse because half the items were not available. The restaurant was almost empty and the food was old which gave us digestive discomfort. The staff had nothing to do so they stood around and talked while ignoring us and eventually ever so slowly served us. The elevator was out of order for couple of days. The internet went down a few times (due to the notorious Mega Cable). There are no screens on the room windows, you can't open them for fresh air. The AC and the ceiling fan were very noisy. The toilet flush mechanism plaque fell off. This hotel is acceptable for living for a few days. It feels safe and you will rest, but it's far from a four star, Max, on a good day would be a 3 star and is overpriced. Looks good from the outside and on the internet but we do not recommend it. Can't comment on the pool didn't use it. There are better options in Mazatlan in this high price range.
Very nice property. Friendly and very helpful staff.
First class property..I've stayed many times..
Everything about this hotel was excellent. Thank you.
Excellent stay
Very pleased with our stay at Casa Lucila. The room was beautiful, and comfortable. Stayed 4 nights and also enjoyed the exceptional restaurant. Service, cleanliness and atmosphere were all superb. Definitely recommend and will return.
We stayed here for our wedding night! It was so peaceful; food was amazing; staff was gracious! Would love to stay here again!
First time to another country and when we arrived we were greeted with great hospitality! Entire time for our stay was wonderful and will be returning soon and staying here!
We loved our stay at Casa Lucila. The room was modern and spacious. All the staff were nice and their breakfast was delicious. I would definitely stay here during my next visit to Mazatlan.
Plenty of places nearby to walk to
Beautiful place would definitely stay here again!
Excellent service will visit again
Great location, friendly knowledgeable staff, clean, spacious rooms and nice restaurant. Beautiful hotel. Highly recommend.
Best experience in Mazatlán!
Our room was amazing - top floor, excellent view and service. Always felt very safe… Best sunsets… swimming pool - super nice and comfortable. All the hotel services were amazing! We’re definitely coming back!
The elévator was broken
Excellent property, very friendly staff, very quiet.
Beautiful place.
The rooms were so amazing and the staff was above amazing. Loooooove this hotel. Will stay again. Massage excellent!!! Everything a plus
Very beautiful Hacienda! Very clean and perfect location!
Beautiful, but noisy stay.
The hotel is quaint, but clean and in the quieter area of MAZATLAN. The view was outstanding form our room. The room was one of the largest we’ve ever stayed in. The staff were friendly. But the only down side which is a big one is the construction on next door. We had the Marina room and which is at the end of the hotel and the construction was so loud and intrusive that we could feel our wall vibrate and could actually hear the workers talking. It felt like any minute they were going to pierce through the wall into our room. He advised the staff who were very apologetic and advised it was an ongoing people. But did not offer much else. The other draw back is the room service. They offer to bring food and drinks to your room and are persistent about it then don’t tell you about the automatic tip and room service fee they add. And will gladly still take your cash tip. The bar tender were not very knowledgeable in drink making my husband had to tell them the ingredients of a simple drink we requested then charged $20.00 for the drink. Overall the hotels is beautiful but would not stay again.
The hotel is right on the Malecon and the terrace outside our room looked directly at the ocean view. The room was huge and comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful. Easy walking distance to Old Mazatlan centre.
Perfect
They should have a coffee maker in room
Great place
Amazing
A lovely hotel away from the crowds. The room is divine.
Excellent service, food, clean hotel and staff very helpful and attentive, loved our stay!
The room was quiet, with a cozy bed, and a view of the ocean through a window. However, Casa Lucila lacks the details of a 5 Star boutique; coffee/tea maker, fresh flowers, fresh fruit, dark chocolate, a fresh robe daily. The room actually feels austere (Gran Maria Boutique, in Morelia, is a prime example of a 5 Star)
Good location
The customer service was great. Thanks.
Everything is gorgeous, although the pool is much smaller than what it looks like in the photos. A bit annoying that our room was right next to the pool and very loud people woke us up at 6am on sunday. The rest of the stay was great. Best place to stay in Mazatlan.
Stunning old world charm! Staff second to none!
We booked a room at this hotel through Expedia. When we arrived we were put into a smaller room than we booked and paid for. Tried to have the problem fixed but had no luck. I would like Expedia to contact me. The hotel is a great place to stay. I just wish we could get what we paid for.
Very nice staff. They gave me upgrade which I asked for but did not recognize VIP free upgrade. Charge for upgrade was fair and staff helped me get room I wanted. Overall great staff and cute hotel and nice location.
Location in Olas Altas is terrific but do NOT stay in Alma room, where I stayed for three nights. My clothes, my two suitcases, and even my purse smelled of mildew after just three days there. I noticed the smell as soon as I walked in but when I turned on the air conditioner it seemed to go away. Every time I came back from going out, however, the air had been turned off and the smell was back, strong. It smelled of dampness and I unknowingly carried that stench with me back to Boston. I just dropped off 9 items at the dry cleaners and am washing the rest of my clothes for the 3rd (!) time in hot water. I don't know what else to do. I don't know how the smell can still cling to the clothes. It is awful. I don't know if the other rooms have this issue but don't book Alma. You will regret it. It is definitely not worth the stay for this amount of hassle to try to get the smell of that room off my clothes and suitcases.
The location was just far enough from the hustle and bustle.
We had a great 8 night stay at Casa Lucila! The room (marina room) was awesome. Lots of space. Had all of the regular amenities; if there wasnt something we just asked the staff for it. That room has a jacuzzi tub, as well as a large walk in shower. The staff at Casa Lucila was very nice. They were very personable to talk to. They were also very attentive to making sure our stay was great.
My first trip to Mazatlán did not disappoint. Stayed 3 nights. Excellent views. Comfortable bed. Very attentive staff.
Amazing service
I loved how welcoming and what an amazing place it was to stay in. Definitely recommend
Very happy with their services, super clean, house keeping was very helpful at all times. EXCELLENT SERVICE!
Hand down one of the top 5 hotels my wife and I have stayed at throughout the world. Beautiful views from our room that I don't think can be matched by any other hotel in Mazatlan.
I love this place is quiet .employees are so nice . My stay was fantastic.
Everything was on point well and good hotel would love to visit again
Everything was Excellent, Place Food the treatment. I loved it I want to go back already
Casa Lucila was the nicest hotel in Matzatlan. It’s in the historical district so it’s far from the bustle of city center. Short walk to a gorgeous beach, great for swimming. If you can leave the heated hotel pool with ocean views! So many restaurants a short walk away & taxis were easy to hail if you needed one. The staff were so friendly & helpful & spoke perfect English. Slice of heaven.
The property is nice, the view is amazing, the room was very nice, the pool is in need of some attention. The 25$ credit I was given in my email from Expedia was not honored, even though it was clearly printed on my email. This was a disappointment that will likley keep me from returning to this property.
Modern, clean lines, non-fussy, tranquil. Very good breakfast. Terrific views.
Leaking windows and doors in the room. Room got so wet during tropical storm that they had to move us into a lesser hotel in town without beachfront which we paid for. They offered us a refund but I have not seen it yet. Expedia VIP benefit? 25 dollars hotel credit. They said if we wanted a room upgrade we had to pay for it. Even though we were the only guests in the hotel. Inadequate air conditioning. Room was cool. Bathroom steaming hot. Still waiting for my refund offered in writing by the hotel
The front desk staff was unable to provide an upgrade. I was told to speak to Grisel, but she did not return my call. It was very disappointing not to be able to get one of the rooms facing the ocean. The staff ought to be trained on customer service skills.
I was very pleased with the staff, Everyone was so friendly. The place is amazing, so beautiful I am definitely staying here again.
I loved it all view was the best the service the staff bar tender the guard so polite and very helpful the only thing not that say I hate it but pool closes at seven 😞but it’s worth it I would go back and stay
Property is very nice located, easy access and nice view
If was only 1 night but unbelievable
Best place in Town, everything was excellent, Service, amenities, location. The view amazing!!!
The hotel is very well located to the beach and the lovely historic center of Mazatlan. The hotel itself is housed in an older but well resored villa. We liked it but would prefer if the rooms and the restaurant was lacking personality and style,
Excellent location and the staff were friendly and helpful. Fun
This small hotel has everything... location, view, nice rooms, excellent food and great service.
It was a great time
oldtown
Excellent friendly staff , in an excellent location
Very friendly
Amazing service, very friendly. Would stay again if I return to Mazatlán, MX.
Great place!
Very friendly staff, accommodated al my needs. Went above and beyond all my expectations.
Everything was great for the exemption of a hot water, or an absents of it. Definitely will stay again assuming they fix the hot water situation.
hotel was nicely laid out, the staff was courteous, friendly and very helpful. Excellent food in there restaurant and great service, my wife and I will be staying there again.
It’s the perfect place to stay if you are looking for a beautiful view and walking distance to shops and restaurants. The rooms are large and clean and staff is friendly.
Very large rooms and very quiet , gestándote friendly staff
I liked everything about Casa Lucila. Quiet, friendly, amazing facility. Will definitely go back and recommend it to all my friends.
Great location.
Some rooms are better than others. The two inside rooms with no views are cavernous.
Beautiful hotel, definitely going back
This hotel is itself, beautiful, but also beautifully situated with a lovely view and a nice breeze. The staff were all amazing, the restaurant tuned out great breakfasts, we wanted for nothing. Very conveniently located to the best restaurants in the city, less than 5 minutes walk has you in the heart of the old part of town.
Views of the ocean from balcony were great. Staff were friendly and efficient
The view of the ocean is magnificent, perfect place to observe a beautiful sunset and then go to the bar to share a glass of good wine, with your loved one.
Personal and quiet
As usual, I choose this hotel as been conveniently located, in front of the malecon and next to the historical area. This time the internet failed for a day. Hope it gets fixed! Nice food and drinks!
We love it. We will be back. We will be back!!!!!!!!'
Wish the pool was heated for cooler days in the winter
Romantic place
Great place , great location in front of the ocean with a great view.. great food , great wine and service
Very nice spa like atmosphere in a great location!
I loved the location, beautiful views, excellent service, very clean.
Great location close to the beach and also only a few minutes walk to the historical center. With only eight rooms it was quiet. The rooms were spotless and comfortably large, including the bathroom. Staff were very helpful and polite - it's a very friendly place.
I wish the property was closer to a more accessible beach.
Love this place, very chick and cute. Nice view to the ocean and so close to many restaurants and the buzzle of

Beautiful intimate property with a great staff. Restaurant was very good.
