This hotel was clean, safe, conveniently located to main tourist attractions plenty of shopping and dining options. Staff was amazing receptionist fluent in English included a delicious breakfast the rooms were very clean, incredible staff and beautiful rooftop deck.

Friendly hotel in Quito

We stayed at this hotel twice, before and after our trip to the Galapagos Islands. It is a great place to stay in the historic center of Quito. The staff are very friendly and eager to help. On the day of our arrival, the city center was closed for a sporting event, and they sent personnel to pick us up several blocks from the hotel and help move our belongings.

Great hotel in downtown Quito

This is a great hotel located in the historic center of Quito. The personnel are very helpful and friendly. The breakfast is excellent. They assisted us with airport pick-up and drop-off at a reasonable price and organized local sightseeing trips.

Very well done

This Quito stay was exceptional. Luisa, Luis and staff made everything very comfortable and easy during our 3night stay in June. Breakfast was always fresh. Help we with restaurants as well as travel to and from the airport was very easy thru all communication with Casa..... Rooms very comfortable and building extremely secure.

We had a very nice stay at Casa Hotel Las Plazas! Lucia and Luis were very welcoming. The beds were comfortable and the breakfast delicious. It was good value for the area and convenient to walk to many sites and restaurants. We would stay here again!

Very friendly people. Fixed but ample and tasty breakfast made fresh! Large rooms. Street rooms can be a bit noisy but not bad. Terrific location.

Very accommodating, helpful friendly people. Airport transport was there waiting for us. Beautiful hotel. Nice breakfast of fruit, bread, potatoes (we are vegan and they made it work for us) juice, coffee. Very secure and safe hotel. Great location 3 min walk to sites. Close restaurants. Loved our stay.

Staff are friendliest & most caring of any hotel we've ever stayed. Attentive to every detail and helpful from arranging airport transportation to explaining all about the local fruits and fruit juices at breakfast. A family run business that cares that customers are happy. Happy enough to return, as we did.

We chose this property based on reviews and it did not disappoint. From the beginning of our trip to the very end we received personalized attention and service. The staff are wonderful and extremely accommodating for all needs.

Great and economical hotel near every thing. Great owners and excellent breakfast. They are very helpful and accommodating. The owner prepared for us a breakfast because we had an early tour. The only thing I would have like is a chair in the room. I would definitely recommend the establishment to friends staying in Quito.

This is a great boutique hotel with a friendly, caring and helpful staff. They arranged for airport transfer late at night and made helpful recommendations. It is right in the heart of the historic center and easily walkable to most places. The breakfast was very good and the staff really wanted to help us learn more about their food and the country. The property is in a charming old building. It’s a little worn in a few places but very clean. Great stay in beautiful Quito.

Accommodating Staff/Charming Room in Colonial Area

Located a block away from the main plaza in the colonial section of Quito. Clean rooms and very personable and accommodating staff. Breakfast was a delight; a variety of local fruit was utilized and our server showed us examples of the raw fruit and how it was prepared. There are several patios to relax in, including a rooftop with a view if the city.

We stayed at Casa Hotel Las Plazas for 4 nights and loved it. The location is excellent and the friendliness of the staff is exceptional. Breakfasts were a pleasure as Luisa would take the time to explain the various local fruits that were being served that day. We would definitely stay there again.

The staff were amazing. Friendly. Always suggesting what to do and where to go. Safety was always their concern. The rooms were clean. The breakfast was healthy and tasty. Loved loved it!

We had a wonderful stay at Casa Hotel Las Plazas. The staff really looks after you and makes sure that you have everything you need. Luis and Lucia were stellar and caring. Breakfasts are really good and every morning we would get different freshly squeezed juice from a variety of Ecuadorian fruit and Lucia would tell us a little bit about the fruit they selected each day. Also wonderful is the roof, going up there to just sit and look at the old city and the sunset was lovely. The hotel is conveniently located in the Historic part of town which made going to the Basilica or the Palacio de Carondelet Meer steps away. I recommend staying at this hotel big time!

We had a wonderful stay! The hotel staff went above and beyond to make us comfortable - they were incredibly helpful with recommendations and accommodating to any requests. Breakfast was also delicious. It felt like we were guests in their home. The location is also close to a lot of Quito’s best tourist sites.

The hotel was very clean. It was very quiet as well; we were there mid-week so there were not many other guests. The hotel staff were so helpful and kind. They made breakfast for us each morning (e.g. fruit and yogurt, fresh juice, coffee or tea, bread, and eggs) and taught us each day about the delicious local fruits. They also helped us arrange taxis as needed and helped us to get our Covid test prior to departure. There we so many other little things they did for us to make us feel so welcome there, like making sure we had bottled water each day and putting our wet clothes on the terrace after we were caught in the rain. I would definitely stay at Casa again if I return to Quito.

The staff at the Casa went out of their way to help us with our many queries. They were so nice. Called restaurants for us when we asked. The rooms were clean. The breakfast was lovely. The courtyard area had a lot of light. And the proximity to old town was great - we walked out our door - felt very safe. I would happily stay there again.

The hotel is in a great location. Very safe area and a stone's throw from Palsa Grande. Nice but basic room. Great service. The hosts are very attentive and ready to help with any queries. We loved the homemade content of this small hotel. Senora Lucia, Luis and Mario made our stay unforgettable. Muchas gracias seniores !!! We will definitely stay again at this hotel next time in Quito.

Wonderful boutique family-run hotel! Beautiful interior, very warm and welcoming staff, very pleasant breakfast -- the perfect way to be welcomed to Ecuador.

Gorgeous boutique style hotel in the perfect central location. Delicious hot breakfast everyday was the perfect start to the day. Hotel staff were very helpful and knowledgeable and went out of their way to ensure my stay was perfect. Luis even helped with dinner reservations, airport pickups , took me on a city tour and arranged for COVID testing at the hotel before my travel back home. Would highly recommend.

It is a family run hotel and they make you feel like you are part of the family! It is very close to the Plaza Grande! What ever we asked for the staff would make sure that that happened. Luis the manager arranged for a guide to take us to whatever venues that we wanted to go and would have never found on own! WE would stay there again and highly recommend that every one will do it also!!

Fantastic stay

My friends and I stayed at this boutique hotel for several nights during our visit in Ecuador. We found the staff to be warm and incredibly helpful in all aspects. We actually became friends with the folks. They helped us in so many ways; from coordinating day trip excursions to making great recommendations on where to eat etc. If you ever have an opportunity to be in Quito, you should consider this boutique hotel. The rooms were spacious, clean and well appointed. The lobby featured a colonial design that made the time there so enjoyable as well. 5 stars. We would give 10 stars if it were allowed. Great location 2 blocks from Grand Plaza. Comfortable, small hotel with excellent helpful staff. Spotlessly clean. Good shower. Provided helpful suggestions for eating suppers nearby and arranged taxi for us to get to airport that was reliable. I would stay there again if visiting Quito.

This is my 2nd stay at Las Plazas. The first was comfortable and easy, and this one was no different. The staff are exceptionally helpful and friendly. My room was a very good value. It was comfortable, very clean, and perfect for my 2-night visit. The breakfast is over-the-top for me: fruit, eggs, coffee, fresh juice, all prepared individually for guests. The location is within walking distance of numerous downtown attractions, and it's an easy spot from which to embark/return via Uber. I'm sure I'll be back again.

The Best!

For the price, this hotel can’t be beat. Close to the main square, great service and breakfasts, and Luis makes sure everything goes smoothly. He helped us get tours and transport to other towns, had a guy waiting for us when we got off the plane in Quito at midnight, and made us feel like family. The towels aren’t the most plush, and there can be a bit of noise from the lobby area at times, but these are small details that shouldn’t influence your decision. We will stay here again the next time we come to town.

Staff was great. We asked for a late checkout and they were very accommodating. Location is great with the Plaza right down the street. They helpful with transportation. Small property but nice room with great shower comfortable bed.

Casa Hotel Las Plazas is a wonderful choice for staying in Old Town. The building is charming and well maintained. We stayed in the presidential suite and got to enjoy a balcony over looking the street and sites. No issues with street noise overnight. We arranged to have a driver pick us up at the airport for a reasonable price even though it was late in the evening. The staff was extremely kind and accommodating. They provided us with a map of the area and suggested some sights to see. Everything we wanted to see in Old Town was in a walkable distance from the hotel. I would recommend the breakfast - excellent local food.

This is a charming old house converted to a hotel right in the heart of the old town. The rooms and common areas are filled with tradition decore. The staff is beyond helpful, giving advice on tours, best places to visit and places to eat. It is a 2 minute walk to the central plaza and close to everything to see. Breakfast is absolutely amazing, served by Mario impeccably. I highly recommend this hotel.

Not recommended.

Hotel info did not make it clear that you have to walk up to the second floor to even get to hotel lobby. This is not good for older travelers such as myself. You also had to ring a door bell to get someone to come down to open the door. I will say that the breakfast was very nice and the staff was extremely helpful. The room was very small and sparse and the bathroom was tiny. I would not recommend this hotel. Please buy better bed linen and towels!

This was such a lovely hotel just two blocks from the Presidential Palace in Old Town Quito. The staff were all so kind, pleasant and helpful. The breakfast every morning was fabulous. I would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful stay! Terrific and warm family who owns and runs it. Beds were comfortable and location very central to old town. Breakfasts were fantastic-they were full breakfasts with a different fresh juice every day. Highly recommend!

Very nice, very safe, very close to Plaza Grande.

Spent 4 nights at this hotel in Feb 2018. It is located within an easy 3 minute walk to Plaza Grande on Venezuela St. Tell your taxi driver "Venezuela y Olmedo" that will get you to the nearest corner. The hotel is above a gift shop so you have to be let in/out by the staff. There is a buzzer at the door, and they answer quickly. This is an extra security measure and was not an inconvenience. Staff was excellent, attentive, and eager to help. Breakfasts were excellent and cooked as needed. Don't go out for breakfast!! Staff likes to show you what the juices are made from, etc. Ecuador has a lot of vegetables and fruits that people from other continents have not been exposed to so embrace the new food you will enjoy it! Room was excellent, clean and secure. There was a small safe in one of the nightstand drawers.
