The staff was great and very willing to make our stay easy and comfortable. They were very helpful with information on restaurants, sites and maps.
The staff at reception were really helpful and gave lots of tips for travel. Hotel location was great right near the old square and a short walk to the castle.
Best stay of our whole trip. Beautifully restored property, with lovely Juliet balconies, extremely comfortable rooms, spacious shower, and nice historical design touches. Breakfast was great, especially homemade apple cake, and fantastic customer service (s/o to Vasco in the reception).
Perfect Spot!
Great hotel in a perfect location. Beds were incredibly comfortable. Fantastic included breakfast, nice guest livingroom, cute — everything you’d want! Very clean and wonderful service.
Excellent location and excellent building, rooms, and service. Would definitely want to stay there again.
Wonderful stay in Tomar.
The Casa dos Oficios Hotel in Tomar was wonderful. The room was clean, comfortable and quiet. The people at the front desk were friendly and helpful. The hotel was in a nice location, close to restaurants and shops. The breakfast was great.
Beautiful small hotel with clean, comfortable rooms. Complementary breakfast is good. Wonderful location!
Amazing place, a quiet boutique hotel with excellent attitude and service.
Had a wonderful stay here and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Tomar. The property and rooms are impeccably clean. The sleeping arrangements and amenities are excellent and very comfortable. However what makes this property extra special is that it has tons of heart. The warmth of the staff and genuinely care they have for all guests is much needed and very much welcomed in the hospitality industry. We had two experiences with the staff that blew us away with kindness. One of them was with the receptionist that checked us in to the hotel. We were running late due to some issues on the road and she ended up waiting for us past the check in hour. But what really surprised us was seeing her still waiting for us when we returned from the parking garage (which took much longer than it should have due to some closed roads and one way streets). She wanted to make sure we got back ok. Isn’t that sweet? The other wonderful experience we had was with Vasco. He helped us package and ship a sword back to Miami. We had tried shipping it ourselves, but were having a tough time. We were also tight on time due to a trip to the Azores. If it wasn’t for Vasco helping us we would’ve most likely been forced to leave the sword behind. He’s definitely a wonderful person and a great asset to the hotel guests. The staff and their wonderful hospitality make this a 5 star experience in every way. Thank you so much much for a wonderful experience!
Lovely small hotel; well located, friendly helpful staff, very nice room. Would absolutely recommend staying here when you are visiting Tomar.
Old house remodeled as a hotel - beautiful!!
Amazing place and staff
Beautiful, great location, all staff friendly and very helpful, room spacious, great bed, great bathroom. Really comfortable and well appointed communal sitting area. Highest recommendation!!!
Very nice hotel. very friendly lady on front desk. think we were there on a night when a number of local restaurants were closed. had to park in the nearby multistorey car park, €6 for an overnight stay.
Convento do Christo and castle 5-star sites. Most restaurants closed on Sunday, but staff bailed us out w/ 1 recommendation. No tourist sites and churches open on Monday.
One of the best hotels we’ve stayed at. The staff is wonderful and the hotel is beautiful, super comfortable, and in a perfect location to explore Tomar. Our family of four only stayed one night but we would for sure return. Highly recommended!
Excellent staff and beautiful accommodations
The staff are very nice and friendly. Show us where to visit and how to go there in detail, and prepare a nice breakfast before the regular breakfast time because we need to catch a bus early.
Really recommend these hotel close to everything ❤
These hotel is beutiful clean comfortable The best staff very helpful always around In case you need something coffee in the room and tea very comfortable space to read have a drink or a coffee Really good breakfast ❤️
very well located. Building is historical but bring up to date with all modern amenities. Great staff
This is a surprisingly wonderful hotel. It’s stylish, luxurious, and comfortable. Our host was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was sumptuous.
Lovely room very clean, excellent front desk staff was very helpful with suggestions
This is a charming hotel in a beautiful small city. The room was clean and well set up. We had a door that opened to the street below. The staff were very helpful and welcoming. The breakfast was well made and drinks were available all day long. I would highly recommend.
A wonderful find in Tomar
This hotel is a delight & staff were very helpful. The room was absolutely wonderful. It had large windows which could be opened up & we could let the fresh air blow in. The room was spacious & tastefully decorated. Most importantly the bed was so comfortable. It also had a lovely communal sitting room. I would recommend this hotel highly.
A great little Gem in Tomar.
Great service from the staff and right in the middle of the old city center at a very reasonable price. We only had one night here but it was beautiful. A great blend of the old (hundreds of years) floor visible through a clear floor in places, to the original walls and doors still visible on the inside. They even upgraded us for free to the only suite they have. It was so nice and the breakfast was perfect. Just the right set of options. If you are planning to stay in Tomar, this is where you want to stay. It was a 10 minute walk straight up to the Medieval Knights of the Templars castle and the Monastery of Christ (I hope I got that right). We can’t wait to go back.
The person at the reception was amazing and very kind. She gave us options, directions and recommendations.
Staff went out if their way to assist with parking, directions and restaurant suggestions . Lovely room with features you don’t normally find in more expensive properties. Love the open bar area and reading room. Would not stay anywhere else in Tomar.
Clean, pleasant, great location. Reasonable, too. We hope to return next year!
Lovely hotel with an second floor library and lounge. The lounge has an honesty bar. Make yourself a drink and let them know what you had before check out.
Fantastic hotel in a historic gem of a town
Very comfortable stay here. Breakfast is fantastic and the people at reception are hospitality pros. On site elevator saves your back and legs. The location is easy to get to from the highway and is within easy walking distance of everything in the old city including food and shopping. The start of the walk to Convento de Cristo is also close by. No parking on site, but paid options at either end of the street.
We were lucky to get an early check in. The hotel was lovely and our room was spectacular. Staff were very helpful. We could park in front to unload our luggage and car park was minutes away. 6 euros for 24 hours
A beautifully designed modern hotel built into a centuries-old building in the heart of historic Tomar. Comfortable, spacious room loaded with amenities. Lounge with honour bar for guests, and breakfast room with nice breakfast and attentive service. Very pleasant, efficient and accommodating staff. The best hotel we stayed at during our trip through Portugal.
Very welcoming and beautiful hotel.
The hotel was conveniently located in the old city of Tomar, walking distance to everything. The rooms were very spacious. It was good value for the hotel.
Spectacular
Seriously one of the top hotels we have ever stayed at. Spectacular is an understatement
The hotel is located in an old building centuries old that has been made into comfortable hotel. It is located in the old part of town where there is little traffic and the streets are very walkable. The staff here are very friendly and the rooms were clean and comfortable. There are great restaurants nearby and the trail to the castle is close-by. This town is cute and we will be back and stay at Casa dos Ofícios again.
Excellent staff, very dedicated to help. Great breakfast and service . Very good location.
The location is perfect for walking to all the sights. Reaching the property by car is somewhat tricky and parking is in a public though 24-hour secured parking garage.
Great stay in Tomar
The staff at this location are phenomenal! They were all so helpful and friendly about what to see and where to eat. They were invaluable about parking (driving to the hotel is not for the faint of heart; streets are narrow and sometimes not marked in the most obvious way). Breakfast was ample and served at the table. Our room was a little cramped for 2 large suitcases but we really enjoyed a true king size bed and even a couch.
Would return in a heartbeat
Room was extremely nice, very comfortable bed, great shower and included a very good fulsome breakfast. Much worth the price
Very nicely renovated house in the heart of the old quarter of Tomar. Quiet (on a pedestrianized street). Easy walking distance up to the Convent (10-15 minutes - a "must visit") and the rest of the old town (quiet with not much to see). Very friendly, helpful staff. Good sized room, comfortable bed and good breakfast. Parking is less than 5 minutes away in an indoor garage - 6 euros for a day (you have to go to the office at the exit and pay for a day ticket as soon as you arrive).
Very clean and centrally located. We would stay again.
Truly a unique boutique hotel. Very thoughtful touches everywhere with superb staff.
Staff is very friendly
From check-in to check-out...excellent! Gracious and lovely in every way. Beautiful, immaculately clean property with attention to every detail. When in Tomar, STAY HERE! And, don't miss Tomar on your travels through Portugal. The Knights of the Templar Castle was incredible!
Great location and very nice staff. Very helpful especially managing all te Covid limitations
This is a win place to stay while touring the Tomar region. I had a great stay and it is right in the heart of old town and close to all the sites.
A treasure in Tomar
Lovely new hotel in an historic building. Wonderful friendly staff. Comfortable spacious room. Superb location
What a wonderful little gem this place is. An older property that has been rebuilt with major attention to detail. The rooms are tastefully done and have all of the amenities you would expect in a five-star hotel. Really enjoyed us stay here - even the breakfast was great
The location is ideal and we were welcomed warmly. Breakfast was wonderful and the property is lovely on the Camino as a needed respite and rest.

Property advertises on-site parking, but all parking is off-site in a nearby (3-5 minute walk) covered parking garage -- the hotel provides an in/out pass for 6-7 euro daily rate. Lots of parking space there, but it does require driving around a wide circle of one-way streets to go between the parking and the hotel, or vice-versa On-site breakfast buffet was decent, including an automatic multi-coffee beverage machine. Our "Superior Suite" was pleasantly laid out, but had a few defects which need to be fixed: the bathroom latch didn't work (not lined up properly with the mortises in the door jamb). The heat pump system made loud TAP-TAP noises and gurgling, after each cycle. So we switched it off at night to be able to sleep, but had to turn it on again early due to the February cold. There was a large "commons room" area across the hall from the room, equipped with sofas, tables etc, and various drinks on an honour system. Unfortunately a large group of other guests decided it was perfect for a loud midnight party, which easily woke us up and required intervention to break up the party. Some "quiet hours" signage is needed there to prevent this from happening again. The hotel location could not be better, at the centre of town yet in quiet surroundings. The overall premises are excellent. The staff too. Enough so that this gets a 4/5 rating instead of 3/5.
