Myself and my wife loved staying here it was a beautiful guest house very traditional. We were visiting family so found tbe guest house to be very convenient . If i had to moan about anything it would be the thin walls between the rooms we could here the couple in the next room very clearly which was a little annoying at times but usually only when we wanted to sleep. And again its a very small moan becuase they may of been loud people. The breakfast was great and Siri the cat kept us company at times. The whole place was immaculate and everything had been thought of including the honesty bar which was a nice touch. I would suggest maybe adding some snacks to this as well. I would definitely recommend this guest house to anyone thinking of staying in Amarante. We will be back. Thank you

Amazing property and perfect location to explore Amarante. Only stayed for one night but it was just what I needed. The building is quite old but I like the traditional style of it. I would definitely return if in Amarante again!

Everything was amazing Owner is super nice

Excellent location, a stay full of surprises. Why go for a normal hotel when you can have a wonderful experience somewhere a bit different. Everything was clean, we had the most beautiful pool, the room was great. Just what we wanted.

A lovely quaint hotel with beautiful river views & a private garden with pools. So honey with a shared living room, all decorated for Christmas. Highly recommend it !

One of the Nicest Hotels on our Trip

We were thrilled with this hotel. From the moment our host walked us around and checked us in, we were thrilled with the class and style of the property. An excellent location on a pedestrian walkway overlooking the beautiful lake. Breakfast was great, too. Highly recommend.

It was a quiet cozy place with a very nice view of the river. It's also a very short walking distance from Amarante's main attractions. The place was clean and the staff were very friendly 👍

Great location

The guesthouse is wonderfully located. Parking on site was a bonus. Lino is a gracious host. Local restaurants are great, beware portions can be large. Our double bed though small, was as listed.

Great place and lovely hosts! Only issues were bathroom sink was extremely small and shower pan not deep enough and curtain not long enough to keep water from running unto floor.

Great stay

Beautifully situated overlooking the Tamega river. Close to all tourist amenities in Amarante. Charming traditional accommodation. Well-stocked honesty bar.

Nice place to stay

Hotel was nice, but we have a problem because no booked in the system. Hotels.com changed me to this hotel and already charged from booked. But then I have to pay more to hotel. I will email the new payment to hotels.com soon. Ricardo Costa

Great hotel in Amarante

Perfect hotel in Amarante. The staff was super friendly and nice. Room was very clear and comfortable. The rest of the hotel has a nice pool and many little hidden corners to sit and enjoy a drink from their well stocked fridge. Good restaurants around and everything is in walking distance. Great place!

Amazing spot, super clean and really nice sized rooms. The pool area is very relaxing and the inside of the property is beautiful. Would 100% stay here again. Amarante is also very close to beautiful national parks, vineyards and wine valleys.

Delightful and very friendly

We had a very enjoyable one night stay and would highly recommend! We received a very friendly welcome and appreciated a complimentary upgrade to a larger room which was lovely and clean and warm. The location is perfect being in the centre of Amarante (without being noisy) with easy access to restaurants and places to visit. Breakfast was great with plenty of choice and lovely fresh bread and croissants. One point to note: it's not easy to spot the entrance from the road since the sign is quite small and not very well lit, so drive slowly! There is parking inside, off the road though.
