Nice property for a quick trip to Macchu Picchu
Very happy with our choice.
Ok
The food at the breakfast buffet was very good. The hotel location is very convenient to the train station. My only complaint is that some guests were very loud in the hallway near my room.
All good except, we were asked to pay an extra 10% of the rate, otherwise we wouldn't be able to enter the room!
Wonderful hotel
Casa Andina was the best hotel on our Peru trip. We had a room with river view so the train didn’t bother us at all. We also had a table and 2 chairs at the panorama window. It was beautiful to watch and listen to the river. The staff was very attended. And the breakfast was great. We would stay there again if we’d ever go back.
We could reach out and touch the train almost! Would not have booked had I realized. No wash cloths either. Dining room staff very accommodating!
The staffs were friendly and the room was clean. There were many options for breakfast. The location was great, close to the train station and bus station to Machu Picchu, only a few minutes walk. The only downside was that our room was right next to the train track, so it was a bit noisy throughout the day. You could hear the announcement from the train station all day long. Other than that, everything was great! I would recommend this hotel.
Amazing hotel and staff were friendly and helpful. Within a short walking distance to the train station and the bus stop. Breakfast was delicious
Great Option to stay for one night! Good breakfast!
The view over the river from the room helps create the setting
Very very basic amenities
Staff was great
Great Stay Before Machu Picchu
Great place to stay before seeing Machu Picchu. We enjoyed the view of the river, and since we were facing the back, didn’t have any noise issues from the train. We appreciated the early and hearty breakfast, and the staff were kind enough to let us hang out for awhile after checkout while we waited for our train.
It is a basic property. It is right outside of the train tracks so every time a train passes it fet like, well, a train passing outside your window. Thesmell from the drain permeates the whole room. The staff are nice.
It's fine to just spend the night and head up to Machu Picchu the next morning.
It was all good
Thanks for staff support! Excellent option in machupichu
What a great place to stay while visiting Machu Picchu!
Good
Absolutely love this hotel and area. The front staff was very accommodating and friendly. The room view was the exotic Inca River! The breakfast was outstanding with so many choices including hot and cold beverages! I have no reservations in recommending this hotel!
Great location, very clean. My only concern is that I would love to have AC in my room.
Kind personnel, price on target, good location, clean
all good. if they tell you keep windows closed to avoid mosquitos do so😅
It was great!
It was great, the personnel was very nice. Patty from the reception helped us on giving us a room far from the train noise and with an amazing balcony and view of the river and mountain. We are very happy of the service and location. Breakfast was good too. Walking distance from train station was less than 5 minutes.
Very clean and special place
Easy and close to train station but not noisy
Really excellent.
Everything perfect, very professional staff nice and clean place love it ,I definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Machu Pichu Pueblo
Amazing location. Great staff stunning views with the river and mountains
great staff & facilities, loved the location & free breakfast. I'm glad we stayed in a room that faced the river. I'm not sure if the other side was loud, but no issues on the side we stayed on.
Great hotel
Very helpful and friendly staff members. The room is clean and modern. The breakfast is awesome. We upgraded our room to a one that faces the River. It is very quiet and peaceful. Just make sure you don’t open the windows, as mosquitoes could get in. We made the mistake leaving the windows open when out for dinner. Fortunately, the staff at the hotel stepped in to help us clean it up. Thank you again!
Everything good
Great location and nice hotel. Great buffet breakfast included. Be sure to book a room on the river side and not the train side
Location is great. Has a great view of the river. Love the buffet breakfast. Comfortable and clean. Staff is very friendly.
Great breakfast, great location and a very friendly staff
It was a nice, clean property with great staff. The location was very convenient, but note, there are very active train tracks one one side with trains running 6:30 AM - 10:30 PM. Between the noise and the smell of fumes, you can’t really open the window. The room offered a fan, but not AC. Rooms on the other side of the building were overlooking the River. It was beautiful, but in March, the rapid waters were very loud, so not sure if we could have opened windows if our room was on the River side either. All in all, it was a good experience for a one night stay, but not sure about an extended stay.
Everything was good except that at checkout the staff said I had to make a payment directly to the hotel even though I already paid through Expedia. After verifying with my bank sure enough I was charged by Expedia then again by the hotel. I called Expedia and they cleared it up with the hotel and I will be getting a refund in 7 to 10 days, but how annoying to spend 30 minutes on hold dealing with something like this for no good reason when the hotel should know better.
Great hotel
Beautiful hotel great staff
oVERALL CONVENIENT ACCESS TO STATION AND BUS
Friendly staff
The service staff was very welcoming with a very service friendly approach. Romualdo made the difference.
Nice, clean hotel. Friendly staff. Good breakfast. The rooms were tricky to temperature control with stand alone cooler and heaters.
I really like the hotel, very nice and clean.
Great place to stay
Great location excellent service
Good location, excellent service from employees
very clean and welcoming staffs. early check in and late check out helped is a lot.
Property was amazing. Staff were great, and super friendly. Theyre english was really good! The rooms were really nice. Clean, and even had north American plugs which was a plus. Our room over looked the river. Beautiful view, and created some white noise when sleeping.
The hotel is small but impeccable, and very near the Train Station. I asked for an upgrade to a Junior Suite which I highly recommend so that you have a king size bed and more overall space. The staff members were kind and friendly, specially Elmer at Front Desk. I will definitely stay here again!
Very nice place with the sound of the river. Clean and a nice breakfast with a nice view.
This hotel is amazing with the view of the river, staff is excellent and very respectful, answered all of our questions. Location is excellent and very quite
Staff is very friendly and helpful. Clean rooms and comfy beds! Will definitely come back.
The Hotel rooms are clean and spacious. Breakfast was nice and with good views. Best part is the river facing rooms. Excellent views.
The staff members were very kind and helpful. One of the staff members was waiting at the train station for the arriving customers to help their arrival.
Location is awesome and hotel staff and services are really good. However hotel rooms are not upto the mark.
overall pleasant stay
The overall stay is pretty pleasant. The room is clean and bed is comfortable. Staffs are very friendly. It is very close to bus station and train station, as well as many restaurants near the river. The only problem is that it is too close to train station, so there are many noise during day time. But it is relatively quiet at night, so I don’t feel bothered.
Location & Service great!
Perfect for our needs. Staff very welcoming and helpful. Minimal amenities so don't expect extras but that's not why we were there. Minimal but perfect at the same time!
The hotel was very well located to get the bus to Machu Picchu. Staff was very accommodating and friendly.
The customer service sucks! My train schedule was not working for my hotel stay I requested to change from one day to the next. No I did not ask for a refund just to change Good Customer service goes a long way!!!!
Clean and great location!!!
Conveniently located just steps outside of the train station. I was very pleased with our stay, had a great view to the river and mountain. The breakfast begins at 4am so it's great for those planning on picking to MP early.
My room had no window— not good. Would not have rented room if knew that ahead of time.
Excellent Location, Friendly and attentive staff, Clean, Comfortable
Me and my spouse stayed at Casa Andina Standard Machu Picchu earlier this month. I assume most travelers will stay only one or two nights here so this hotel will satisfy the majority of the travelers, including us. We were hiking to Huayna Picchu in the first morning group so had 6:00 AM entry to Machu Picchu. The breakfast at the hotel was fully ready at 4:30 AM and we were comfortably on one of the first busses up to Machu Picchu by 5:35 AM and arriving at the main gate perfectly on time at 6:00 AM. The hotel is also very close to the train station and we left our baggage at the hotel while up at Machu Picchu where we later collected them smoothly and took the train back to Poroy (Cusco) in the afternoon. We also had a free upgrade, but I checked regular rooms which looked perfectly ok for a short stay.
Highly recommend
This is a straight forward, nothing fancy sort of hotel that was extremely clean, with a great location, and particular good service. It also has an option for a really late check out for an extra fee that we took advance of. This was a HUGE bonus...we did Macchu Picchu in the morning and had booked a later train. With nothing to do in town, it was really nice to get to shower and rest. It is also down a steep hill from the train station and having the porter assist us with bags back up the hill was extremely helpful. I would definitely stay here again.
Good value and location
Nice staff, clean facilities, good location. Very firm bed, small room. Overall, a good place to stay if you want to walk to local shops. The location may be a little busy. Nice little breakfast.
Convenient. Helpful staff. Good breakfast. Recommend for overnight stay
The hotel is very noisy, because it is at train station, and also because the walls are very thin between rooms. Bed not comfortable. Shower smelled of mold. Breakfast poor.
El hotel está bien ubicado a pocos metros de la estación del tren. La habitación tenía una bella lista a la montaña y río. El buffet fue uno de los mejores que probé, variado, tenía refrescos saludables y típicos de la región. Lo recomiendo.
Staff attention and room services. Hotel location is the best in the area.
The beds are very comfortable, the rooms are big and the breakfast is amazing! Walking distance from the train station and the bus that takes you to Machu Picchu. Had a great stay in this hotel.
Great location with wonderful staff. Only, the door of Rm 301 has to be fixed. It is smaller than the frame.
Being adjacent to the train tracks, try to get a room on the other side. There is activity on the tracks through the night
Great location. Walking distance from everything especially the train station. Spectacular view
Clean, modern, close to the train station. Make sure to request a room facing the back side or in the middle, not facing to the train lines
Well siuated nice hotel
This ia a very nice hoel located right next to the railraod trackjs and thefeore close to everything. The only negative was that the wi fi did not work very consisently, but that was probalby not the fault of the hotel. The breakfast buffet was good, not great, but was included. Price was a on the high side comparedd to what we paikd on other parts of South America, but again is proably because of the location.
Quiet and peaceful stay
Really enjoyed staying at this hotel. The town is quite small so it's possible to hear the train from almost everywhere and though the train ran right up the street by this hotel our room was quiet. We stayed in a river room in the back and it was very peaceful! The staff was great and stored our luggage while we went to Machu Picchu after checkout. Most importantly to me the interior oft he hotel was clean, modern, and quiet. I would stay here again!
The location is absolutely perfect. It is on the train line and steps away from some excellent, budget friendly restaurants. The bus to Machu Picchu is also mere meters from the hotel. The views from the room of the river and the mountians at the back of the hotel are also breathtaking. The rooms were always clean and the staff were also very helpful especially Romualdo. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Aguas Calientes.
Birders delight!
Loved our stay! We are birders and the river view rooms are perfect!
The people in the front desk te not well prepared for the position. Not frendly. The maneger count keep his word to solve a problem
Israel and the rest of the staff make you fell welcome. Nice property in Machu Picchu Pueblo .
1 night of good sleep.
The location is excellent, I had a room in the river side and never heard any trains at all. Super clean and modern with decent beds. I would definitely stay again.
minimum 50 characters. Screw cheaptickets email preferences garbage
Clean hotel close to central Aguas Calientes
Very nice hotel with friendly and attentive staff. Only thing I'd change is request/book a room that faced the river; otherwise they face the train station and tracks. This prevented us from keeping the window open to cool the room due to the noise level. All in all - excellent value!
Service was great and very accommodating but rooms were hot.
Good staff and accomadting approach. We had to check out in the early morning, but managed to stay at the lobby till our train departure time.
Vacation fun
Management really cares if you are happy and satisfied. Everyone goes out of their way to greet you
The restaurant packed us a sack lunch due to our miscommumivation about bteakfast being included. It was free, delicious and totally unexpected. They take good care of their guests.
The GOOD-The staff was wonderful & helpful, the breakfast buffet was very good, lots of choices and fresh. Our room had the river view and that was amazing, we loved it! The BAD-The only negative but, it was a BIG dissapointment was that the rooms do not have A/C, therefore the room felt stuffy, we opened the window and the fresh air made it better but, the noise from the river was very loud so, we couldn’t sleep with the window open, my husband also felt a couple of mosquitos because the window had been open. Bottom line, we couldn’t have slept with the window open regardless due to the noise from the river or the few mosquitos so, the A/C was a definite miss!
Excellent
Great breakfast with an excellent view, very convenient and comfortable.
Loved everything.loccation, room, staff. Just book it.
Great location! Very clean property! Great service
Great Machu Picchu Stay
We came to Aguas Callientes to stay the night for our trip to Machu Pichu the following day. We were very familiar with the Casa Andina properties and chose this property due to its proximity to the Urubamba River. Our room was directly on the water which made for a wondrous view! Open the window and the roar of the window was awe inspiring. The room was generously sized and even had a ceiling fan (LOVE)! The hotels dining area was also on the river, making for a beautiful addition to your morning coffee. The wait staff was on point with replenishing coffee and food and orders came out quickly. The area was neat and clean. The hotel was directly across from the train station(across the tracks) and the market. A short walk into town and to the central plaza brought us to the quaint restaurants and shops. The hotel stored our bags in the morning at checkout and we walked down the block to the train station to head to Machu Picchu. After our trip up the mountain, and an easy walk back to the hotel to retrieve our bags, we headed to the train station to travel back to Cusco. The hotel staff is very familiar with this routine and was very accommodating.
Nice hotel on a nice location on a railroad track and the river on the back, nice breakfast buffet too already open at 5am!
The best view of the river
It was great, super clean, ask for the rooms with view of the river, those are the best. Wilmer was super kind and not helped us with our bags, he even took them to the train station. Súper recommended
good location and nice and clean and modern hotel.
Comfortable, clean room with hot water for bathing. The hotel is located near the train station. It is easy to find nice restaurants nearby.
Awesome hotel in Aguas Calientes - Machu Picchu
Absolutely fantastic. Location is perfect, very clean and fresh, friendly staff, good breakfast. Overall awesome!
The location is perfect. Close to the train station, market, and bus to Machu Picchu.
Its a nice hotel in a very touristic area, near many restaurants and small shops.
