Big room and very comfy bed, slept very well. Still, there was a party in the mezzanine floor restaurant on the first night, and since I was on the second floor, it was a bit too loud. If i were to come back, I would for sure ask for a top floor room. I would insist on bathroom cleanliness, there was a funky smell that didn’t go away for 3 days. There is no iron in the room, that was a surprise. Had to change plans about what to wear because of that. Overall, nice stay. The hotel offers easy acces to everything around the city Center, so have this in mind when booking.

The breakfast was a major disappointment, selection was quite limited and didn't match what I was anticipating. I was hoping for a better variety. Additionally, the bathroom in my room felt outdated, and the shower left much to be desired. For a hotel of this caliber, I expected more modern amenities and better functionality.

No hot water for shower. Staff visited and said just run water for 16 mins and it will be hot. Never made a difference.

A comfortable hotel within half an hour walk to the Old Town and other attractions. Staff were polite and friendly. Good breakfast. Room was comfortable and quiet. I had some issues with water temperature in the shower, on one day had mostly cold water and on others temperature was changeable. But I would recommend this hotel.

Very nice

Excellent value for the money, our stay was fantastic. The staff was exceptionally friendly and went out of their way to ensure our experience was memorable. The restaurant and bar offered a wonderful selection, making our overall experience truly enjoyable.

During the heavy hours of checkin (12pm-3pm) it would be better to have more than just one receptionist. I had to wait for about 4 people in front of me before I could get checked in. I was in room 508. Very clean and a very comfort bed I slept fantastic. However the water pressure for hot water in the sink was so low it made it difficult to shave. The shower was slightly better but still had low water pressure as well. I stayed one night and was disappointed. The bar closes at 9:30 in the evening which especially for a Friday I find quite to early. On top of that when I proceeded to drink a beer (that I left the premises to purchase) at around 11 pm on the terrace the hotel security came to me and told me I could not stay there with alcohol. This to me just did not make sense and I really did not appreciate that. The breakfast is fantastic it’s not the average continental breakfast they actually had several hot items cooked perfectly along with the usual typical cold breakfast items as well. 3/5 all in all

Doesn't deserve 4 stars

They tried to give me a significantly smaller single room instead of the double with king bed I had booked, when I complained, they explained they are fully booked (of course they weren't even half booked), the closest to my booking they could give me was a twin room. With really, really narrow beds. If I can say something good, it's that the place felt clean and maybe even quiet, except for the Saturday night when there was a big wedding in the hotel and you could hear that everywhere even after midnight. WiFi practically didn't exist - you could find a network with extremely weak signal (possible to catch with a laptop only), but by no means - usable. 4 stars? Only by registration. Service level - way below.

They had a party that went on until 3am and the music was blasting until then with no regards for sleeping guests

Great hotel

The hotel was clean, great location and near some good restaurants. The hotel staff was great and helpful. He recommended a great restaurant. The hotel transportation to airport was a little pricey. The only negative. I suggest that the hotel get a transport for themselves.

The breakfast was amazing !! Lots of options of fruit, veggies , cheeses , breads & meats !! The bed was extremely comfortable..&slept full nights rested sleep with no noise ..very nice and quiet !! all my 9 nights there !! I got a regular room which was very spacious & the AC worked perfect! . Staff Christian brought up my laundry & was always a great help with questions needed! Location was within a lot of different foods near by like (ramen, pizza, & a great meatballs place other options) meeting point of my tours I took was only a 10 minute walk!! ( which worked out great for me!) close to 4 malls on uber all within 7 minutes away. Few grocery stores near by for snacks and water ETC. Had a really great comfortable stay !!

4 nights in a heat of 41 C the AC was not functioning. Was an nightmare. No any information from the hotel manager and staff no any communication no any minimum service.

Excellent convenient and comfortable.

Very comfortable hotel located on a street car line and between two metro stations. Nicely appointed rooms, comfortable bed (not a King, but two singles pushed together). The only thing I'd wish for is stronger air conditioning -- it works after you figure out how to get it going (turn the switch far past the limit line -- but it cycles on an off so the temperature is not very uniform. Good staff. Didn't use the restaurant do not know how the breakfast is or even if it was open -- I did pass by a window once and saw a man eating a steak though.

New, clean hotel and well located

Keep coming back ever time I visit Bucharest, still pleasant stay and attentive staff!

I stayed there with my husband and checked out at noon. Since our flight back home was at night, we did leave our bags at locker room and came back late afternoon to pick them up. Just before we wre leaving, I realised that I forgot my Phone charger and cable on plug. I ran inside and asked to go and see the room if it was still empty. Gentleman at desk told me the room was already cleaned and if there was any forgotten item, cleaner would bring it to the front desk, but there was nothing brought back from our room. I insisted that he should call the person responsible, but our taxi to the airport showed up and there was a phone call keeping the front desk busy, so I had to leave. After we arrived home we checked everything incase it was in one of the bags, but it was definitely forgotten at Hotel. My husband called the Hotel and after checking throughly, they did find my charger and cable. Since than I am still waiting to hear from them. It is not fair to tell me while I am still there, nothing was forgotten in the room and send me with empty hands.

The room, the facilities, the food, the staff, the location, everything!

I like the rooms which are pretty large and very confortables.In fact all the building is relatively new and large.The food at the bar is good (for the lunch it was the only possibility,instead of the restaurant).The hotel is next door to a grocery store. lt is not far away from the city center,but for me some times is better to stay somewhere else closer to my work ,althougt I like very much this place.

It was clean, well-kept. Staff were friendly. Hotel was not necessarily close to things, but wasn’t too far either.

We took a suite. The AC didn't work, the reception refused to change us towels . The breakfast was pretty good.

Good breakfast. Bistro is good value for money.

Close to public transport (buses and trams) but lack of good nearby restaurants. You have to take a taxi at night.

The receptionist got us a nightmare taxi...

Overall the hotel was excellent. We had, however a very bad experience. The receptionist called a taxi for us, that ended up being a complete nightmare. The driver tried to charge us more money than he should and refused to give us change. I wonder how is it possible that a **** hotel works with such a taxi company.

Some opportunities for improvement: hanging towels should be more convenient, should add tissues to the bathroom, the nice espresso machine of the room was unplugged and one would have to move heavy furniture to reach the outlet.

Superb hotel and staff

Bucharest is a lovely city and not really what I was expecting (it is far smaller than you might imagine). Plenty to do and see and well worth a visit

A very good hotel great room not in the center

It was great. the best breakfast I havr ever eat in a hotel. The room was perfect and the staff were very helpful. The location is a little bit far from the center but it worth it.

Capital Plaza Hotel

Hotel is located in the nice area of Dorobanti Capitale. Close proximity to all public transportation a short walk from the prime minister's office and right nearby nice shops and cafes. The hotel is indeed a true 4 star no more and perhaps no less. Easy access to all venues in Bucharest and for a reasonable room rate. Few points need to be addressed: bed lamp was not working, tv are small by today's standards and for a 4 star hotel (tv set is appropriate for a 3 star hotel or below). The biggest disappointments though are the presence of vermin in the room (on our three day stay we have seen 2 bugs and not the nice kind); bathroom shower had a smell coming from the water drain and they have parties on Friday and Saturday so the hotel felt like a frathouse.

Decently priced, full service four star hotel

little can be said after only a 2 night stay, but we would patronize it again, if returning to Bucharest

Good hotel, would stay again

We stayed for one night, very close to Plaza Victoria. Only thing was the location, not many choices for restaurants. We eat in the hotel - great value for the food we had. Nice clean hotel, good transport connections, good breakfast, handy for the park and plaza Romania.

Good Base of Operations

This was a clean hotel, and was inviting despite its corporate amenities. The breakfast was very good, the cafe on the property very convenient, and the parking garage very welcome in a parking nightmare city such as Bucharest. While not a long walk to downtown, I recommend taking a taxi for city excursions. I will definitely stay here when I venture back to Bucharest in the future - it is a very good base of operations between the city and the airport.

Nice hotel, good location, friendly staff. Good value for money at 50 USD. Missed breakfast so cannot comment. Great for parking. Seems to be a busy hotel, deals are flying fast, missed on my return.

Nice and Modern hotel in Sector 1

Modern and nice hotel situated strategically between Piata Victoria, Piata Romana and Calea Dorobantilor. 10 mins walk to Victoria Metro station and 5 mins walk to Stefan cel Mare Metro station. Hotel is well situated in the trendy part of Bucharest close to supermarkets (Mega Image), Cafes', restaurants and fashion stores. The hotel was well furnished and equipped. The staff were friendly and helpful and the breakfast was good.

Be warned!

I have stayed at the Capitol Plaza 3 nights with a 3 year old child. My first impression and the experience of my first night was great (clean place, nice and polite staff). Totally impressed! However, I was in for a great surprise on my second night. The hotel rents the restaurant for all kind of banquets (it is not sound proof) and these type of events go on until early morning as the Romanian tradition ensues. I did not sleep until 4.30 am the second night and my child woke up multiple times screaming and scared. The noise from 2 parties (a wedding and a baptism) was literally impossible to bear. I called the reception and in spite of talking to a very polite person on the other end of the line, there was nothing to be done. When I went to talk to manager the second day I was told that I should get ready because there was another wedding that night (any other place would have offer something...money back in this case).After arguing they agreed on moving me to another room facing the boulevard.In any civilized place a hotel is a place where people come to rest. If they want to be a party mayhem, then customers should be warned in advance. I would have never booked with them if I would have known. I do recommend the place for its cleanliness and location but only if you stay during weekday and ask in advance to be given a room on the opposite side with the restaurant. I will never stay there again in the future! Sour taste as with most things in Romania...

Great hotel in good location

I was very happy with my stay at this hotel - very quiet, clean and relaxed. Not in the center but it was a pleasant walk to get there. There is a shopping center right beside it so that was useful.

Good stay, however the Wifi connection was pretty poor. However the room was in excellent condition and a good location.

Good business hotel

Stayed two nights for business. Very nice lobby, which makes it great for meetings. Near the Metropolis center which is convenient, but otherwise the street is a very wide and very busy street. Opening the window was noisy. Great gym relative to a hotel.

Nice hotel. It was a little far to walk to the old town which i didnt really factor in. Train stations are not too far away though. Breakfast and restaurant menu were nice. Hotel staff were very kind to move us to another room as there was a wedding downstairs and the noise level was extreme - much better and bigger room. Overall pleasant stay

Good Hotel

Stayed for 3 nights overall and this hotel suited us. It is a little out of the centre but taxis are cheap and the hotel are happy to call one for you so you don't pay over the top. The hotel staff are really friendly and helpful. The bedrooms are a little on the small size but fine for 2 people. We did find the rooms a lttle hot and were unable to cool it down as this is controlled centrally by the hotel so ended up with the window open all night when it had been snowing outside! The breakfast has a good offering. The only bad experience from this trip was that the bar wouldn't serve us when we arrived at 11:30pm even though we were residents and they were clearly serving 2 men who looked like they were regulars. Otherwise all was good.
