The view is spectacular, right on the ocean, centrally located& close to all amenities. Blanket the security lady was efficient and friendly.the negatives of the booking was when you got there you had to pay for wifi, parking & housekeeping.if you did not pay the deposit online they didn’t take credit card deposit at the hotel so you had to pay cash.booking was for 9 days and all you got was 6 sachets of coffee and sugars for your stay so bring your own coffee milk and sugars and dish cloth. We had to wash our own towels and buy our own garbage bags and toilet paper for longer than 2 day stays.staff and housekeepers weren’t friendly except Blanket.when we checked out housekeeping brought a towel to the office showing black marks on it if they couldn’t get it out you would pay for it.the towels were paper thin from the continuous washing. Received my deposit back before leaving. Should add all extra costs into booking instead of charging separately. Would not recommend. Parking is very tight if you have a larger vehicle.
Breathtaking
Peace. My stay was pleasant, thankhs to Janice, Liam & Ian. The view was breathtakingly gorgeous & the staff was kind. Thankh u!!!
Torn curtain in bedroom. Patio door very difficult to open and close. Can't lock properly. Queen size duvet for a king-size bed.
All of the above made it a perfect stay
It’s an excellent location by the Sea, very pleasant, comfortable with extremely helpful and happy staff. If you like the sound of the Ocean washing up to within a few feet of your patio area, this please is a DREAM 🙏😇
On the beach, and exactly as advertised - loved it
You seriously need a car to visit this wonderful city, so it was great that Leisure Bay offered onsite parking. There were reasonable add on fees for parking and wifi, but the 24 hour security team, the daily housekeeping crew and the front desk problem solvers were first class. And then, there's the beach and the views of a brooding Table Mountain, the light show of downtown and the parade of steamers twinking off shore, a neat and tidy kitchen, two bedroons, two bathrooms, a huge balcony and the awesome sound of those waves coming through our wide open patio doors. Important note ... traffic congestion is a given, as is right hand drive with your gear shifter, turn signals flipped to your other hands if you're not a Brit, and a GPS is a must.
It was clean, staff was nice, and oh my gosh the view is amazing. I only can complain that it’s quite far from everything. It was about a 20 minute uber drive every time to the center of cape town one way.
We love the quietness and calmness while listening to the waves. The beautiful Tablemountain view with the city lights, Capetown is just breathtakibg.
Terrible property in a dilapidated condition. You should remove from expedia.
Great Stay
We stayed during the heavy rainstorm but the overall stay was pleasant. The place is clean and spacious. We paid for Wifi but didn't receive the password until the next day as we checked-in after the scheduled time, I think that could have been prepared better but a great stay and would recommend this place.
Prima appartement op unieke locatie met prachtig uitzicht op Tafelberg. Service was uitstekend.
Best time ever with family
We enjoyed our time there, close to all amenities and great views. Wish the kitchen had more pots but otherwise every query was attended to in time
Less than fair
Suites are not luxury as the name states, additional charge for very squeezed out door parking, no lifts so luggage transfer to 3rd floor a mission, bedroom has no heating equipment....
Great location for quick family trip
Great location for a quick family trip with teenagers, close to the city but right on the beach
Superb location across the bay from Cape Town
Where else can you step out of your room walk 40m across the patio and sand dune to a great beach overlooking Cape Town and Table Mountain? The location is superb. The rooms had everything we needed, including ocean view. I had read that the rooms were being refurbished. I think ours was due refurbishment so a little dated but still completely satisfactory. You need a car because downtown Cape Town and the waterfront is probably 3 miles away, but this location gets away from the hustle and bustle of the town center but leaves it and the magnificent Table Mountain view on your doorstep. Good value for money given that we needed two bedrooms for the three of us. Thoroughly recommended
Great furnished apartment at the beach. The staff are great and caring.
Diamond in the raw
Location is perfect for beach goers. They have strict security check in for your Uber driver. There is a breakage policy of 750 Rand at check-in and returned once housekeeping confirms the condition and contents of the room!..yes, I said contents!..Your are given a list of the room contents rowels, pillow cases, sheets, Kitchen utensils, pots, pans, ashtrays, right down to the sink stoppers! I did not bother to check the list to see if it was accurate, but had no issues when I checked. The room I stayed in had a small inadequate safe, that would be hard pressed to hold a tablet. All things considered I would stay here again.
I’ll love to be there again
It’s was lovely
PLEASANT STAY
THE VIEW AND FLAT SIZE WAS EXCELLENT. FOR THE PRICE WE PAID I WAS A BIT BAD THAT THE A/C IN THE ROOM DID NOT WORK. AND IT COULD HAVE A GAS BRAAI??
Home away from home
Amazing self-catering holiday apartments directly on the beach with 2 pools and a small restaurant on site. Cleanliness and customer service of staff is 5 star. Rooms serviced daily with towels changed. Tea/coffee and milk refreshed daily. Although the complex is not within walking distance to nightlife and restaurants (just one Thai restaurant), it is less than a 5 minute drive to fast food outlets: KFC, Nandos, Dominos and a local SPAR supermarket. Breakfast charged at R130 per adult and R50 per child. We would definitely go back.
Nights were extremely cold. No heater or extra bedding was provided. Left early to airport. No assistance with luggage from upper floor. No lifts. The view was excellent.
Magnificent view, great security but smaller rooms
Our suitcases had to stay in living room due to both bedrooms smaller sizes; kitchen tap wobbled; and 2nd bathroom toilet would not stop flushing but otherwise was a perfect venue with magnificent views of Table Bay and Table Mountain through sliding doors in main bedroom and living room onto balcony. Kitchen and bedroom/bath linens = well equipped. Security was excellent. I would stay here again.
Beautiful view. Bus to waterfront and table view.
I travel alone I felt safe. As a woman. Was very convenient to all the places.
Nice place but must pay for food, wifi, parking
Hotel is beautiful with private beach access and incredible scenery. Room was clean, bed was uncomfortable....I slept mostly on the sofa. Pool is not heated....only used once during my 9days stay, paid food available and delicious, staff are amazing, great security, Free WIFI only in lobby but it's slow, even if paid for unlimited service, it was terrible. Nothing to do around the hotel but city in only 10 drive/taxi away.
Quiet oasis
Excellent coffee and tea station and a fine place to remover for not much money
Beautiful
Great
Apartments are great, great location, space etc. Staff breakfast services was..... missing
Scenic and luxury apartment
The unit and area was amazing. The food service, restaurants in the area was lacking.
Convenient and good value for money
Just a quick overnight stay. Very good value for money. Will definitely use them again :-)
Clean
It was amazing, great welcome and we enjoyed our holiday
Hôtel at the beach
We had an Apartment with 2 sleepingrooms. Not the most modern one but with oceanview right on the beach. View to the table mountain included. It's in a save region with very good security.
Very friendly and comfortable accommodation option
Great option for families who need easy parking, a bit of space to run around, great comfort, lot if sutra he space, beautiful views... With very friendly staff. Negative is that the location is isolated from the rest if the city (also an advantage) and traffic to and from the city centre can be nightmarish - but great bus service option
Awesome night out in Cape town
I must say I was a little nervous about staying at the hotel from the reviews I had read, however upon arrival I was pleasantly surprised. It was excellently located with amazing views and directly on the beach which was so awesome as the weather was amazing whilst we where there. The rooms was good, clean and just prefect for us. We had underfloor heating as well as an Air-con for hot and cold air. The TV worked well and the bed was super comfortable. The resort had the cleanest pool I had ever seen, no jokes. The staff were friendly and very helpful. We didn't have to pay extra for parking and the area as quiet where stayed, yet bustling at the same time in the surrounds. We didn't unfortunately get the opportunity to try the food although there was light meals, drink and breakfast on offer as my husband had already made plans for else where. The hotel looked exactly like it did on the website / pictures. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely go back again.
We have stayed at Leisure Bay before, but I was very upset this time, because the prepaid electricity had run out and since the reception close at 10pm, we had to go out on a cold winter's night to buy electricity. Luckily we are from Cape Town, so we knew where to go. It didnt just happen the first night, but also the second!
Was lovely but seems as if maintenance is required on quite a few areas... The hotel needs to be defined as well: is it a hotel or a residential complex?
Very good hotel
It was nice to stay here for 4 days. Staff is very helpful. Hotel is very good.
perfect view and private
lots of space , on beach , u will need a car
We wanted a place where we could come back and relax after our day trips throughout Cape Town and this was the perfect set it was very reasonable we had a full kitchen two balconies two bedrooms and it was on the beach
A Nightmare ,We WON'T STAY IN THAT HOTEL AGAIN !!!
Nightmare We WON'T STAY, NEVER IN THIS HOTEL AGAIN !!! we arrived late, after a day of activities, The air conditioning did not work, when we were to the front desk, it was closed (after 9:00 pm every day), the only person available was a security guard who tried to find someone to fix the AC with out any result, after several attempts, and phone calls we had to "sleep" with the balcony doors open, we could not sleep afraid of any assault, next day the customer service manager suggested to write an e-mail to the Hotel Directory,I HAVE NOT RECEIVED ANY ANSWER YET!!!,after 12 days...,the master bedroom does not have shower,we have to use all,the same bathroom to take a shower ..., the Hotel does not have shuttle bus as stated on the Facilities, the breakfast which has an additional, is from -9:00-11:00, we arrive at 10:00, there was nothing , we have to request food, then, they were to the kitchen looking for something, They don't have any hospitality culture !!DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY WITHOUT ANY WARRANTY, I PAID $132.0 for a night during Spring Brake, for nothing
A Traveller's Worst Nightmare
My wife and I arrived at the hotel following a 30 hour trip from the USA with no sleep. We had arranged ahead of time for a late arrival and were told that the security guard would have our key for us. (we arrived right on schedule, one hour after the reception area closed for the night) The guard had no key and could not contact anyone. However, he did have our name on his list. We were forced to go find another hotel for the night on our own at nearly 3X the cost of our original reservation. We visited the original hotel the following day and were informed that they would not charge us for the night that had been prepaid. (no effort whatsoever to make up for our inconvenience) The manager did not bother to meet with us and left all of this up to the receptionist. In decades of travel, I have rarely seen such incompetence and neglect on the part of a hotel. I could not submit this review without rating various aspects of the hotel such as room cleanliness, comfort, etc... Given that I never saw anything beyond the guard shack, my observations were based upon the shack. In summation, book with this hotel at your own risk.
Not too shaby
The stay was okay but the hotel didn't do the pictures justice. Not as romantic as we expected
Poor service Checking In apartment old and dirty
Rather stay elsewhere
The hotel (or not a hotel but self catering establishment as they they now explicitly state when questioned)is in a bad state. The air-con made such a noise that it couldn't be used. The room was not cleaned properly. The "hotel" no longer has a restaurant. The DSTV channels are extremely limited. I wouldn't recommend this place.
Beautiful view from the appartament
Nice and clean very spacious for three people, staff was very nice and friendly.
we loved the location as we could walk from our unit onto the beach
Great accomadation on the beach close to cape town
Good accomodation on the beach pools to swim in close to the city great sunsets smiling staff we had a great time this was a good find and we will be back
It was great! We enjoyed every moment of our stay!
Not sure how this hotel got 4 star rating
Not 4 star hotel: No elevator to level 2 and 3 No bell service Entrance to the beach is littered Suite does not have dishwashing towels and only dishes for 1 meal's dishes Extractor fan in the bathroom makes unpleasant noise Plumbing makes a noise when taps are used
Leisure Bay luxury apartments
I have stayed there several times before. Surprised to arrive and find it no longer operates as a hotel. No restaurant, no breakfast, no bar facility. Internet states free parking yet I had to pay per night. Room very comfortable and clean. Starting to show signs of neglect. The sliding door lock is about to fall off - only just works. Linen clean but small tear in the sheet in one place and darned in another place. Hoping this will improve as I would like to stay there again.
