Nice convenient hotel but beware

Great location if you are planning to take the ferry to Kangaroo Island. There is a pub accross the street for food. Room is spacious and comfortable. The only problem was that there was a rodent trying to get into our snacks and eat my vitamins and medici left on the counter for the next morning.

Spotlessly clean unit and our kids loved the cubby outside. Owners are very friendly and give great recommendations about surrounding area. Very quiet so you can hear birds. We felt very safe and relaxed and the owners were very kind and even gave us insect spray until we could get to town. We enjoyed our stay.

Hotel is very close to ferry. Property is older, but well cared for and extremely clean.

Great comfortable 2 bedroom quiet cabin with all the amenities needed plus directly across the road from a pub with tasty food.

A very easy experience checking in and out. The unit was well furnished, comfortable and had all the amenities that were needed. A great stay, thank you.

Lovely shady and quiet location

This was a great option for us for an overnight stay. However you could stay longer. Cape jervis itsself doesnt offer a lot but you are not far from other places of interest. Especially in the warmer months. Second Valley is a gorgeous place for a swim on a hot day. The cabin was well appointed. Dated but this is not really an issue. The real appeal is that the cabin was spacious and the grounds were lovely. Nestled amongst the trees. We would stay again if the nedd arose.

The property is very handy as a base to visit Kangaroo Island the next day as located directly near the ferry. Facilities are pretty basic and there is no pool.

had an issue with the key being attached to the plastic activating the electricity so that when we wanted to lock the door, we had to take out the plastic from the slot therefore the lights went out. When we put it back in, didn't press it down hard enough so, no hot water and phones didn't get charged! probs 3rd world problem, but separate key and tag would have been good.

Loved the spaciousness and the gardens

It was a nice quiet place for me and my sons to stay, weather was aweful but a nice spot.

Super convenient location close to the Kangaroo Island ferry. The owner/manager was really helpful. I'd go again.

Dreadful Stay

presume because there is pretty much nowhere else to stay for catching the ferry to Kangaroo Island that they have the monopoly on the closest stays to the ferry port. How this place has any good reviews is completely beyond me. The unit was FILTHY dirty, with doors that didn’t lock and a bathroom so appalling I was dumbfounded. Big crack on the floor around the drain for starters. These units haven’t had any money spent on bringing them up to the most mediocre standard in at least 30 years by the look of it!! No point complaining to reception about anything as there was simply nothing she could do to improve our stay. The receptionist was the ONLY redeeming feature of this stay as she was most friendly. Pay for proper cleaners for starters and at least a lick of paint on outside balcony. When we arrived there was someone’s dirty towel screwed up and left in front of our balcony. Just appalling!!

very clean , convenient to local shops plenty of room, comfy beds. left from here to hike the Heysen Trail

Convenient location

The unit was really spacious and comfortable and perfect to stay as it's only 800m from the ferry. The grounds are lovely and peaceful with big trees and our daughter loved playing in the cubby house. The owners were really accommodating and allowed us early access so we could put our toddler down for a nap.

The accommodation was great and what was good was the local tavern was just across the road

Great location, our cabin was right in front of the large gum tree which was lit up at night and looked great both at night and during the day. Beds were ok, spacious rooms and bathroom. Cooking facilities good, aircon was appreciated.

Lovely clean units with all you need for a relaxing holiday. Added bonus you can have your pet with you as well. This is a really underrated area, with lots of beautiful beaches and Deep Creek Conservation Park just a few minutes away.

Property was very clean with all amenities. Unfortunately it was 42C and garden etc was extremely dry. Loved to all the birds .....

Great little get away

Lovely little cabin with everything we needed. Perfect for a couple of nights away nearby Rapid Bay and Second Valley. Reception staff were lovely.

Great camp site near lighthouse

Our cabin was cozy and comfortable for two. We enjoyed nearby rainforest walk along Mait’s Rest. We also saw a koala in a tree very near the road on our way out.

Veru unclean

We stayed in Room No 5. No hot water. Grout was all moldy in shower. Bedding had unclean doona covers. Cupboards where dishes were kept needs a good clean. Drains had a foul smell. Not worth the money as these facilities are old unclean and need upgrades

Close to ferry terminal

Pleasant lodges in quite setting, enjoyable stay, rooms clean and cared for. Plenty of things like tea and coffee provided. Possibly showing their age a little door jammed at one stage couple next door had trouble locking theirs. Nice staff. Not many eating places around so take your own food , good kitchen. Note water in lodges is rainwater, no mains in Port Jarvis.

Apartment near Sealink Terminal

There are only 5 of these apartments, which are very well sited for the Sealink Terminal to Kangaroo Isalnd. The apartment is a fair size with two bedrooms, snug bathroom and kitchen/diner/lounge area. Kitchen was basic but clean as is bathroom. No wifi here unless by reception. Comfy beds. Towels and hairdryer provided. Very peaceful. Staff friendly and polite. Free parking right by apartment. Overall a pleasant place to stay in this area and very handy for ferry crossing.

Perfect location for our needs

Got in after dark and left early but it appears to be a place to relax a bit outside. Very neat and tidy and the beds were comfortable.

Nice budget hotel close to sealink ferry and beach

Stay was very good. Hotel room was very comfy and kitchen facilities were quite good.

Decent hotel, excellent staff

Individual cabins with nice kitchenette, two bedrooms and living room/kitchen table. One air conditioner in main room for whole cabin. Staff went out of their way to assist us, even drove us to and from the ferry at no charge. Highly recommend.
