Beautiful property Amazing experience in ubud Perfect setting for sometime away to relax

We really liked the style of the villas and resort. Staff was awesome and always tried to help us. One small detail which was bit disappointing is the fact there is not wardrobe or any space inside the villa to hang you clothes or put at least. Bathroom was a bit used/dirt but nothing serious. Biggest issue was that they have a cocks and chicken in the area and they are doing such a loud noise from 1am till morning. We had a really hard time to sleep and needed to use ear plugs. Overall it’s a really nice place and awesome staff.

The facilities were run down but the staff were very helpful and accommodating to our requests. One thing to note is that Canvas Escape Resort is located a bit further outside of Ubud so it takes about 25 mins by car (considering the traffic).

I cannot say enough good things about the staff here. They were welcoming and accommodating. They helped arrange safe transport. The coffee here is good. It is not suitable for people with limited mobility. I don’t do well on stairs and uneven ground and had to navigate these constantly while on the property, as with the rest of Bali that we saw. Dining options were acceptable and not too expensive. You have to let them know in advance if you want breakfast or an evening meal. They hooked us up with a nearby restaurant that provided transport and outstanding meals and ambience but at a higher price point. Even with my mobility issues I would book with them again if we ever returned to the Ubud area. One thing I really appreciated was the private and tranquil atmosphere even though the property is located on a busy road. I loved the tiny chickens that inhabit the property. They hatched two chicks during our stay, and that was delightful. We also saw a large lizard. I recommend you choose the villa over the regular rooms.

Property was not quite as described,room was very lovely but Property bit dated , bit isolated, and very expensive to get anywhere from there like shopping centre, staff were not very knowledgeable in simple things like getting us transport or where things were like shops atms dining, they were very friendly and tried to help

We love how culture the place looks its just so cute and the sounds of roosters in the early morning haha 😄 we didnt need to set up an alarm at all...We love love love this place 💗 💖 💕

Absolutely the best place I have ever stayed. The staff were so welcoming and friendly I’ve never experienced anything like it. They made us feel like we were family. I cannot recommend this place enough. If you are looking for a less hustle and bustle experience in Bali, this is your place. Not as many options for shopping but it’s great for getting a closer look at actual Bali. Again the best part about this place is the staff. So amazing

The property was very comfortable, staff where friendly and welcoming. It was a very positive experience.

A little off the beaten path, not much to walk to but other than that I really enjoyed my little bungalow. The staff was so friendly and attentive. The privacy was really nice, the bed far more comfortable than expected. It was spacious given the private patio I had and breakfast every morning by the pool was lovely.

The staff was amazing, they were all very friendly, and helpful. The breakfast options are all great. Also, they offer spa on- site which made it very convenient for me after the long exploring days. My last massage and facial were with Malini, she was fantastic.

The staff at Canvas treats you like family and makes you feel like you are at home while away from home. They will get out of the way to accommodate for you and make you feel welcomed. The little resort is very beautiful, the rooms pretty spacious and fancy, the bedding was the the most comfortable we had in all our trip and did I say 4 large pillows!!! The bathroom was super nice with a shower with amazing pressure and hot water that doesn't run! Unfortunately we didn't make time for taking a bath but the large tub looked amazing!!! Breakfast was included and it was so good!! They have three amazing options catering for everyone and the portions were very generous!! They also have a very nice spa and the massages are heavenly! Thank you Canvas resort you guys are amazing!

As beautiful as this property was (lots of plants, flowers and garden views) the outdoor showers for each private space was a bit more annoying than I expected. Mosquitoes were NEVER ENDING. I had geckos everywhere in my space. Came back to my space with animal poop on my bed, almost every single night. Woke up one morning with poop on my pillow. Took a shower, more poop on the bed. Left and came back, POOP THERE AGAIN! They were pretty apologetic and quick to change the sheets, but overall, if you are not a fan of nature in it’s highest form, this place is not for you. Plus, the neighborhood is surrounded with roosters. Be prepared to be woken up throughout the early morning. It’s also not an area to walk around and sight see. No sidewalks or easy in and out for pedestrians. Impossible to explore the area without worrying about traffic.

Love it!

This place is awesome! I stayed in the villa with a private pool. The outdoor bathroom is cool and unique. Monkeys are around in the early morning and late afternoon. The staff are so friendly and speak good English and are super helpful with scooter hire etc. The room was spacious and clean. Pool was amazing and didn’t smell like chlorine. There are some ants, frogs and lizards around but that doesn’t bother me at all.

The room was nice and big, but there was a little snake in the bathroom, attention to detail for cleanliness could be better, the photos of outside of the property were better than what it actually was (bit of a catfish) theres also roosters that go off at about 4 in the morning, how ever beds were confy and the staff were friendly

Quiet, Cozy, and Hospitable

Great stay at Canvas Resort. Beautiful little property with a pool. The villa was nicely decorated and comfortable, and the staff were helpful and kind. Internet worked well, too! I would definitely recommend Canvas to anyone looking for a quiet place to rest in Ubud.

Very Quiet and Cozy looking resort. Beautiful landscaping and very private. I and my partner did enjoy our spa session there and their staff are very helpful, and polite. I will surely repeat my stay there again :)

Excellent Experience

The staff was very friendly. Villa and the resort were very clean. There were 4 different Delux Villas - some smaller than others. Photos are of all different ones if you're looking for bigger maybe upgrade or specify on the resort website. The beds are extremely comfortable! Small geckos and frogs can get inside but were of no bother to us. The bathroom was super cool and was half outside as well. About 15min drive from Ubud.

The property is beautiful with lots of tropical plants and the cosy villas are spacious and unique. We loved sitting on the porch of our villa, and we also loved having breakfast by the pool. The chef cooked our wonderful meals in a VW bus converted into a kitchen!

The staff here were the absolute best. From welcome drinks to our welcome massages and foot scrubs, they went above and beyond. Breakfast was exceptional, and the villas were just perfect. We loved our stay! Thank you Nana!

We had a great time! A lovely little piece of paradise in the middle of a busy city. Small and quiet. The staff was so friendly and attentive. The room was comfortable and the outdoor setting was beautiful.

Easy to feel at home and relaxed

A poky lane way leads down to the resort and can have you feeling a little worried about what you might find behind the gates. Don't despair, you will be pleasantly surprised by the lush ordered garden and friendly welcome. You will be given a drink, little foot and shoulder massage before being taken to your room. We had a lovely time in the quiet, private of this resort, and enjoyed the hospitality of the friendly discreet team.

Ery warm welcome. Staff super helpful. Beautiful and relaxing. the place is hidden from the street. Not easy to find. Not many restaurants around. Hotel can provide some food to accomodate or order food. Very pleasant stay.

Best place we’ve stayed in all SE Asia

Where do I even begin? The staff is top notch, the villas are incredible, the massages are out of this world and everything is just plain wow. You get breakfast cooked out of a converted VW bus every morning with juice that was literally a fruit 2 minutes before you drink it.We originally booked for one night but ended up staying for three because we couldn’t leave this place. I can’t say enough good about this place, I have honestly never stayed at a place that has blown me away so much. For instance, we go get in the pool and someone is walking out with towels and putting them on the lawn chairs for us. We come back from a long day of adventuring and the staff gives us back rubs and cold tea to soothe our nerves. This place is as close to heaven as you can get. Only downside for some customers may be that it is further from Ubud, but we actually found this as an upside as we could easily get into Ubud for dinner, coffee, gelato, etc. We always rent a motorbike when traveling through SE Asia, so we actually liked being in our own little oasis just far enough from the commotion to relax but not so far that we were unable to enjoy time in the city. If you do not want to rent your own motorbike, just ask the staff as taxis and private cars are available and they are more than happy to help you book travels, communicate with locals and make sure you don’t get ripped off on tours/transportation booking GO HERE, YOU WILL LOVE IT AND NOT BE DISAPPOINTED! Booked for four nights but extended our stay for eight. Rooms are great and staff is out of this world. We will definitely book here again on our return trips to Bali. Thanks Siti for making our stay so memorable.

My best stay on Bali

Best stay I had on Bali. The people working there are very service minded and kind. Surprised by the free foot scrub and shoulder massage by arrival. Have recommended other friends to stay there as well. Only down side is the location, you need to rent a scooter or go by taxi (they will happily help you out with both options) to get out to have some food, if you don't want food delivered to your room or the pool. I would definitely book it again if I go back to the Ubud area. Relaxed place with nicely decorated rooms/small houses. Definitely value for money.

Awesome spot. A little outside of Ubud so not walking distance to where you want to be, but if you want total seclusion in a more authentic environment (local community) and you want the best of the best private room and amenities than this place is perfect. I did the two person massage as well and that was amazing. Love this place. I stayed in town a few nights as well and this was my favorite place I stayed. Also theres an amazing organic restaurant close by that delivers to the hotel so you never have leave if you don't want to.

Had the most wonderful experience in Canvas Escape. The staffs are so friendly and professional. They remembered all the guests names by hard which was incredible! Did the 90min spa treatment in their in-house spa, it was heavenly. The standard of the spa treatment is better those of international brands. We stayed in the Superior Villa, it is spacious and value for money. The daily breakfast is simply delicious. The entire experience at the resort has been the best in all our years of travel! We will certainly visit Canvas Escape again!!!

Struttura carina in un borgo vicino ubud, necessita di uno scooter per poterla visitare, proposto a ottimi prezzi direttamente dalla struttura… la struttura è molto carina, le stanza son grandi anche se poco rifinite, in una delle due docce spesso mancava l acqua calda e un dispositivo elettronico che gestiva la tv emetteva rumori fastidiosi durante tutta la notte, alcuni dettagli sarebbero da rivedere ma tuttavia ottimo posto per fare qualche notte

Nous avons adoré l’amabilité et la serviabilité du personnel. Par contre la nuit et tôt le matin vous entendrez les coqs, les chiens… Les chambres sont grandes, literies très confortables. Les massages aux spas sont agréables. Vous pouvez louer un scooter depuis l’hôtel. Merci à Pinta pour sa gentillesse et son professionalisme .

From the moment I arrived till the moment I left, I felt like I was part of the Canva Escape family. The cottages are nice, modern and have everything you need. What is special about this place is the staff. They are warm, friendly, caring and really make sure you have everything you could possibily need. What an amazing team! I felt so welcome and taken care of. As a female solotraveller it felt like a safe environment and I would gladly visit again. If you would like to spend your time exploring Ubud, please know that it will take you a 15-20 min drive to get into town. You can use Grab for your ride. If you would like some peace and quiet when you come back from Ubud, this is the place to be!!!

Små søde hytter. Udendørs bad, hvilket giver mange dyr på toilettet. Vi havde dertil også firben og frøer indenfor, som skal af med deres efterladenskaber om det er på sengen eller sofaen, tænker dyr ikke over. Morgenmaden meget middel. Sødt personale der gerne vil hjælpe med alt fra frøer til ting at lave.

Beware of the chickens

This place was really nice but there are chickens, and they make allot of noise at night.

Canvas hotel review

Excellent cosy hotel with friendly staff. Parking with car is possible but the road leading to the hotel is a very narrow dirt road. Breakfast, you create your own meal from a selection. Only downside of my stay, I was unable to use the bathtub as there was never enough warm water to fill it.

La struttura sembra un angolo di paradiso, ha un giardino curatissimo, una piscina dove qualsiasi persona può rilassarsi al suono della natura. Il personale è davvero gentilissimo, oltre che disponibile offre un servizio SPA all'interno della struttura stessa. La colazione è ottima, i bungalow sono puliti ed estremamente integrati nella natura.

Poor stay

The service was nice. But the hotel was very poor and need an upgrade. Filled with bugs and the pool is dirty. Awful smell in the bathroom, maybe the vent is the same for all bathrooms? It smelled poop all the time. Room was okay and large. The two hotel birds started singing early in the morning. The hotel is far away from everything.. we changed hotel after 1 night. Comfy beds and netflix!

Leuk resort met knusse huisjes. Kleinschalig met aardig personeel wat alles voor je wil doen. Lekker ontbeten, geluncht. Resort ligt midden tussen de locals wat af en toe wat voor wat geluidshinder kan zorgen. Voor herhaling vatbaar.

A small Cage

This small Hotel is in the middle of nowhere. Hard to reach, at the end of a narrow Road, far away from Ubud downtown. No view at all in spite of the pictures showing rice Field, Not visibile from the Place. Breakfast has to be ordered the evening (sometimes they even don‘t ask you) including at what time you like it. Kitchen is poorly Organized in a VW Bus whose igienic conditions aren’t really the ones you would like to see. During our stay I had the impression the owners (a young family) where laughting and joking about us. They pretended to be kind in a innatural way and you realize it in some circustances. We Booked a room with pool view but we Did not get the room we paid for, eventhough other room where available as the hotel Was quite empty. For this price, we defenetly found nicer and peaceful places in Bali!
