Parking at hotel very expensive

Great Stay

The front desk staff are friendly and helpful. Hotel is clean and in a great location. The bed was very comfortable too and they clean the rooms every day which is nice

Great stay with my kids

We enjoyed are stay quite a bit. The hotel room was quiet and comfortable. The decor was and lighting was superb (for a hotel room) as well!

Great stay, good for families!

Great stay. Rooms are well designed, with nice details like reading lamps, barn doors for privacy and TVs that allow connecting your own streaming dongles.

Very nice hotel, there was construction on the site for a new bar restauarant.

The place is good. They accommodate your needs, but they can't seem to explain the reason for the extra charge for the hotel.

Great Hotel Choice

The location was perfect for our occasion. The hotel was very responsive to maintenance problems we had with the television. They were accommodating for storing our four bikes.

The location and hotel staff were wonderful. The rooms were nice but you have to be mindful of a lot of neighborhood traffic and fire trucks at all times of day & night. Also the hotel was clean but the walls were showing wear and tear, as well as missing paint. The worst part of the hotel was the daily restaurant breakfast. The service was terrible and the food was mediocre. If it wasn't for Janae I would not have continued to eat there. She was wonderful. Maya at the front desk was a delight as well.

Property is good

What a difference! I have been staying in hotels back to back for a couple weeks now. Staying at the Canopy Dupont Circle felt like visiting an old friend. The staff is amazing and the lobby level bar, restaurant, and common areas are cool places to work, meet friends, and just hang out!

Maintenance needs improvement

The property is good and new, but we noted that the beds had bed bugs on them. Over the first couple of days we thought some of the bites were of mosquitoes, but later on the bites sort of grew in size & started to appear in a line pattern (similar to that bed bugs). It’s unfortunate that I am having to leave such a comment cos the property seems new. Hope Management can take note and make amends. Also some of the fixtures were broken - like the bathroom rail, some of the electrical fixtures & the bedroom door railing.

Easy to walk to and from notable areas in the city.

Brett, the manager is always visible, supporting the staff, helping guests and making sure all is going well. Location is great. Rooms are always clean and comfortable, with friendly cleaning staff.

Parking was the only complaint I have. I am a parent dropping off my kid for college and of course I had a 15 seater van but could not park in the hotel parking due to the size of the van.

Ideal

This hotel is ideal, waking distance to the White House and so much more! Highly recommend. Room was amazing love everything about it!

The computer system was down ok but they ran out of parking in their garage The hotel was not even full get more parking You should not have to walk 10 minutes away to park

Room has no natural light

The room was ok but very dark. It looks towards another building too close so you can see outside if it is sunny or rainy. The was also only one cleaning in a whole week. Reception and bar service was very good but restaurant staff is not friendly. Not sure I will stay back again.

The room was quite well maintained, clean and big. The property looked like new but no, I think Hilton remodeled it so one of the elevators is so old. For some reason they’ve never provided us the proper number of towels. And the towels were very uncomfortable every night. Old, thin and rough feeling towels. Otherwise we enjoyed our stay!

Canopy By Hilton Embassy Row - Best Staff

The entire staff is by far the best I’ve ever had.

Front desk staff attendant was very rude and annoyed at our requests for our car from the valet parking. It was $76 per night and we felt like it was a bother to them to get and park our car. They did not have a manager’s reception as advertised on Expedia either which was a big disappointment to us, I booked this hotel over other because of the managers reception. Very underwhelming with the stay.

Unfortunately, housekeeping did not fully clean our room after our first night (beds not made, garbage not emptied, and coffee station not replenished). Staff at the front desk were very welcoming.

Beautiful location, felt safe and comfortable. Nice rooms and good restaurant. Helpful front desk, allowed us to check in early and stored baggage after checkout so we could continue exploring DC without them before heading for our train to VA.

Hotel location was great and easy access to Uber and city for business appts. Restaurant was great and convenient. Hotel was quiet and comfortable. I would definitely stay here again.

Overall it was ok. There is no parking here and valet was $76 a night, luckily there were a couple of PMIs1-2 blocks away that we used for about $35 a night. The hotel room did not seem super clean when we arrived but they do have daily housekeeping. The front staff were very nice. There are three elevators but only two ever worked it seemed and one was so old and badly needed repairs. The hotel wasn’t impressive or anything to write home about but it did the job, I guess.

Our stay is amazing so thankful to Ms Maya she is very accommodating & approachable she is the Best !!! Hope everyone just like her always with a smile 😊 Keep up the good work ❤️👍

Not the best but it will suffice

Great service from staff. Bath was an odd design and the towels were rough. No excuse for a $00/ night hotel. Good restaurant (good). Nice lobby.

The property is closed by White House , Lincoln memorial and other landmarks . It’s clean, quiet and family friendly. Now, the kitchen in the hotel is no good.

15 min walk to monuments and 8 min walk to restaurants on 14th street. The manager of this property is always there and always available and customer focused. We love this place!

My one complaint is the elevators. One was out of service, the service elevator was seldom available and the wait for the remaining elevator was long. In addition ALL elevators were out of service when we were leaving on Sunday.

I expected more from this hotel but was disappointed shower floor looked dirty hard water stains all over sink hair on the towels stains on the walls

Great hotel in an amazing city

The canopy was a great stay. It was a comfortable walking distance from the national mall (though might be a bit too much if you have difficulty walking). Tons of great food around. The room was huge and had a fridge in it. We definitely enjoyed our stay and would go back

The hotel staff at the property were exceptional. From the front desk to the restaurant to housekeeping, we were well attended to and appreciated the outstanding care and service. We will definitely stay here in the future.

Book it!

Fantastic hotel. Very clean and great looking. Staff was excellent. The food was very good and key to evenings after long days touring. Lively at night but family friendly which worked well for our family. Highly recommended. We will always stay here when in DC.

This was a great hotel right in the heart of DC! We were very pleased with our room. We had plenty of space and the bathroom was lovely.

We stayed with our two daughters, 5yrs old and 6 months and couldn’t have a had a better stay. The room was incredibly spacious (1 King and 1 Queen) and very clean and modern with all the right amenities like a mini fridge built in. Service was excellent and efficient and the restaurant food was good and approachable for both adults and kids. This will be our go-to DC stay—and we’ve stayed in many hotels across the city but this one has won our repeated business for sure.

Favorite hotel in DC! We would definitely stay here again! Front desk staff was so friendly and helpful, rooms were spacious and immaculate, and the hotel was in a convenient location for exploring the city.

Good hotel

The room was nice, very clean, and comfortable. Like any city you can hear some outside noise but it was mostly in the morning. It was pretty well located, about a five minute walk to a metro stop.

Excellent!!

Excellent location in Embassy Row. The staff was so helpful and the property was absolutely spotless. Plus I love Hilton beds and pillows. We enjoyed our DC getaway to the max.

Solid hotel in a great area of DC

Large, spacious, quiet rooms. Friendly staff. Nicely decorated public areas. Nice neighborhood, but not as close to the mall as I thought.

My new go to hotel when I visit for work

Great location. Very clean and nice sized room. I love that it has a bar/restaurant.

Great Location made it easy to walk to restaurants, monuments and museums. Definitely our first choice now in DC.

Do not book with prepaid breakfast. The Derby is right across the street and their restaurant is 10 times better.

Really enjoyed our time at the property. Clean, comfortable, convenient for walking excursions anywhere. Little fridge in the room is a huge plus.

Everything is good except the PARKING

Hotel was great location, great price for 2 days. The only down side and it's not the hotel but parking in DC is non existent and they charge so much because of it.

Clean, convenient, helpful, friendly, good food and bar, front desk young lady was SUPER helpful kind amd gave excellent honest advice. Would totally stay here again!!!

Excellent hotel super clean, super friendly

Excellent hotel everything about it was a great experience. It was low key and easy and the staff are so friendly. The hallways smelt lovely and there spotlessly clean, the rooms were immaculate and comfortable. The only restaurant meals we had was breakfast and it was very good. Valet was fast getting our car, everything seemed to run like clockwork. Couldn’t fault our 5 day stay. Would highly recommend and stay again

Embassy Visit

Our stay was good. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was because the room had no microwave oven, and no type of breakfast was provided. You would think that over $500 for 2 nights would get these provided.

We would not return. Our room faced the roundabout and it was very noisy. The Room was also very outdated, very dark and depressing. Incredibly low water pressure in shower that we questioned with the hotel, but were told it’s normal … Location was also not ideal as restaurants and attractions were far away.

A Great Stay at the Canopy!

This hotel was conveniently located between the White House and Georgetown. It was also close to really good restaurants. I felt very safe at this location. The hotel staff was genuine and very helpful. The rooms were spacious and clean. I am returning in a week and will be staying at the same hotel. Great job Hilton!

Clean and spacious rooms. Friendly, helpful staff. Reasonably priced. Parking is available but not included and quite expensive. Neighborhood is quiet and safe. Not many restaurants and bars in the area. About 20-30 mins walk to Mall and Georgetown.

A fantastic stay. Such a beautiful property and so clean and well maintained.

Almost perfect with some hiccups.

My wife and I enjoyed the stay as we were visiting the D.C. area for a couple days. The hotel was quite nice and we liked the room, lobby, bar, and restaurant which were clean and comfortable. Also, the location was ideal as we were close to restaurants and shops along 14th St. as well as the Sunday Dupont Circle Farmer's Market. All in all, we would stay there again. The reason for not receiving a top rating was that the room had some minor issues: a bedside light did not work; the hotel only provides one wash cloth and one hand towel for two people which is a little weak to short on such common items especially when three bath towels are available (note: the $95 Comfort Suites in Leesburg, VA provided FOUR of everything); and finally the stem of the cold water valve occasionally oozed water that over time would partially flood the counter. We had to use the hand towel to clean up. None of these were earthshaking events that required a call to the desk but for a nice hotel like the Canopy with all its upsides, these little things should be noticed and addressed by hotel staff and maintenance before guests are using the room.

Beautiful hotel with great amenities

Our stay was great! We booked a King Deluxe and were not disappointed. The staff is super friendly and the restaurant downstairs served top tier food at affordable prices. Parking is only valet and is currently $65 per night, but there are much cheaper parking options ($35/night) only a 2 minute walk away.

Hotel Stay at Canopy by Hilton in Washington DC

The customer service was superb. The room was very clean and comfortable. The floor was a little warped, but that did not bother us;the bed was amazing.

Elevator is so very old, needs replacement. I ordered a Hazelnut latte for breakfast, got a plain latte. Details matter.

This hotel is in a great location and the staff was really amazing. I just wish the bar was open beyond 11pm.
