Great value. Good for business travelers and solo travelers. The rooms are well set up to sleep and do work. There's no view though - which I knew before booking this hotel. 5 min walk to metro.

Clean room, Convenient location and Nice staff, overall great place to stay for business travel

A great location, and great rooms. The only few areas for improvement are: - some staff would literally run away when they saw me coming due to being frightened to speak English. I was happy to use the translation app. This lead me to feel like I was a bit of an inconvenience. - the music in the lobby rotated on the same 5 songs for my entire 3 week stay. It was awful. I got to the point where I could not sit in the lobby. - staff regularly served warm white wine, and twice could not open a corked bottle.

This was a super place to stay where friends had many options to congregate in multiple lounging areas. Loved the hipster feel. Wine and beer are available at the concessions and also in the vending areas.

Stayed in November, 2019. Recommend this nice, good value boutique hotel behind the huge Equatorial. Small, but nice breakfast buffet. Friendly staff. Hotel is near Jing'an Temple so convenient for shopping, cafes and restaurants.

Have stayed there a few times, staff is friendly there, 宋礼琴 is one of the best receptionists I have met. She follow up my issues and solve them proactively. The place is clean and quite modern looking. The rooms are a bit small but comfy enough. Will stay there again

Liked the room layout it's really nice and set out well. Could do with a little fridge to keep drinks cold etc. All in all its a great hotel to stay at and isn't far from the underground to go to places around Shanghai, so i would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to visit Shanghai!

Quiet but Convenient

Not too far away from the metro station and other sightseeing spots are all a few stops away, yet quiet enough at night for a good rest.

I love the hotel. So cosy and comfortable, great place to rest and chill.

The staff and the location, superb

The property location is good. Problem is the language. Except the manager Christian no one else speaks English. Very difficult to communicate. Beds were not cleaned daily. The cleaning lady in particular does not even remove the crease of the bed sheet. Breakfast was just ok. The manager Christian was very helpful

The desk girls dont speak English very well, but they try hard and are very friendly.

Everything was great, cleanliness, friendliness of staff, variety of breakfast, drinks, space. All were great. One thing needs to be improved is that I can hear noise from other rooms and the corridor which was a bit disturbing.

Just the airco outside was to loud. For the rest the stay was perfect. Super nice room. Great breakfast and a lot of opportunity to meet new people.

Great location, friendly staff, nice room. About seven minutes walk to the nearest subway station.

Relatively new hotel. Clean. Useful ammenities. Small room. No place to leave large luggage open. Not sound-proof enough. I was disturbed by quarreling in the next room in the middle of the night, and when I called reception to check out the disturbance, they came knocking on my door instead of finding out the cause of the disturbance.

Good location. It was near to the metro, shopping belt and also the area of the French Concesiom. Staff are friendly and speak English. The hote room was quite unusual in design and is perfect for the single or couple travelers.

New but too easy to find for anyone who is first to be here. Anyway It is very clean and good decorated with good price.

The hotel is relatively renovated pleasant, staff is very friendly especially Daniel Christian the manager, breakfast is nice over all we liked staying there.

A comfortable hotel with great guest service

Really excellent value for money, I am usually always staying in top tier hotels in shanghai, but I found Campanile really for for a third of the price. Also, only 10 minutes walk from anfu lu makes it very convenient for restaurants.

A quaint and refreshing place for the travel-Westies and home-away-from-hime of the business travelers. Centrally locates, hidden in the hustle-buste of Shanghai JinAn District, one can get to local cheap eats or exotic cuisines eaqually easily. 10 minutes walk to subway station and Shanghai’s landmark JingAn temple. Staff are efficient and helpful. My only complain is two days in a row housekeeper ignored my ‘do NOT disturb’ sign, and knocked on my door and woke me up....

What a gem in the hustle and bustle of the great city of Shanghai. Campanile is a boutique hotel with a Quiet yet intriguing personality! The European flair + thoughtful sophistication made this hotel an oasis. The hotel is conveniently located just about 5-10 minutes walk from the cheap eats, Jim An Temple, exclusive shopping malls, and subway/buses. The room is small but adequate, cheerfully decorates with colorful decors and comfy beddings. Be warned if you cannot get down low to get up or into the bed, then this is not the right place for you. Just about everything in the room is controlled by a digital system... I did not have time to check out the restaurant nor the gym on this trip .. but plan to do so during the next visit.

decent budget 2 night stop

This hotel was a pleasant surprise that lived up to its photos on the website. An upscale budget friendly design conscious hotel in a great central area in the heart of jingan. The lobby and general ambience is aimed at global millenial travellers but as a long in the tooth 46 year old i was impressed by the cleanliness of the room, great mattress and bedding and lovely bathroom amenities. I didnt expect a rainshower, automatic window blinds, bedside usb sockets, fluffy towels or tea and coffee for that price so was a bonus. The front desk staff were helpful and cheerful and added to that hip vibe. If you are looking for a clean place to crash at the end of a days sightseeing this is a good option. To balance out our 4 day trip and also due to arriving in the middle of the night we spent 2 nights here then 2 nights at the Jingan Intercon with all the bells and whistles of a 5 star however this was as impressive for the rate. The stepped up recessed bed may be an issue in the morning for older legs and the toilet although glass doored is not soundproofed if you are sharing with a friend so if these are issues you may want to reconsider but otherwise go ahead.

Open feeling in common areas. It makes you feel cozy and comfortable. But to control heating/fan system was not working well. Too loud and rooms were too dry and hot:) But location is very convenient

This place is a bargain! What you see is what you get. Great area, will stay again.

Nice hotel in the super location

The location is very good. It is also close to bus #71 which has own bus lane and fast than subway in certain area. The hotel was opened this year which is quite new. Only the room is a little small but considering the budget/price paid, it is worthwhile.

Difficult to find. Nice lobby. Poor internet/ wifi. Small room. Unusual layout. Not close to any restaurant or stores.

Excellent value for money

Great hotel, relatively new. Spotlessly clean. Awesome lobby area. The bar sells French wine by the glass. The food is very good and very reasonably priced for a hotel. Friendly staff. Great location just far enough away from the main tourist attractions, but an easy and quick train ride away from anywhere. My only suggestion would be to put in mini bars/fridges in hotel rooms.

First Time for a Re-Review

At the beginning, I wrote a frank review following check in (Sept 7 2018). This is the first time I have ever written a second review for the simple reason that by the end of my stay, the hotel staff and management team (Bryan deserves recognition) had earned my business for next time due to their real time, prompt and sincere responses. The hotel is newly opened for 1 month and are ironing out operating issues. The concept is on the lines of a Hyatt Place or Marriott Courtyard however with much better common areas with modern lighting, furniture, spacious areas to work, and a casual friendly atmosphere. Food quality needs improvement and should get better (I stayed at Campanile Natural History Museum earlier this year which has been operated for several years, food is better, rooms are larger ). At this locale - Rooms are smaller yet well designed, fast wifi, lighting is good, black out shades, nice soft beds with good linens. I would stay again. Excellent location for everything.

Tatami Styled Rooms

Nice hip design. New hotel under French management. A little hard to find as the private road just in front of hotel is now non accessible. Rooms though big in size, are tatami style, that means the bed is on the floor. Not easy to access for older or invalid people. Don’t like the steps leading up to the bed. Overall service is not bad. Location is not bad.

The hotel is relatively new and well-maintained but the sense of space in the room is not so good. The equipment is mostly fixed for certain ways of living. For example, the sensor light of the closet is supposed to serve as a helper at night but it turns out to be an interrupter of a good sleep because the closet is so close to the bed that whenever a person turns, the light will be on. Moreover, the hotel has a great awareness of the green lifestyle, which I think is amazing. I especially like the fact that a number of the towels are available in the room to encourage people to save paper. However, they still offer many disposable cups, which seems contradictory to their idea of environmental friendliness.

Hôtel très bien et très bien situé pour visiter les principaux sites de Shanghai. Les responsables parlent anglais et sont toujours prêts à aider. Seul bémol, difficile à trouver la première fois. La station de métro est Jing’an Temple et non celle citée par hôtel.com

good middle class hotel

nice middle class hotel chinese style ideal for short trips for families and or couples. Location is ideal in terms of connectivity to both airports by metro and subideal because it is located directly attached to the elevated road. That creates a bit of noise.

都心や地下鉄の駅から近く便利。部屋も概ね清潔で過ごしやすかったです

値段の割には朝食が簡素なのと、冷蔵庫がない事以外は 快適でした。 ランドリーや自動販売機もあり、快適です。 ロビー周りは、リビングのようなスペースや ビリヤードがあり、リラックスできるホテルでした。 ホテルスタッフの対応もよく、ワイマイも取れますので、出張利用等でも快適に過ごせると思います。

言葉も通じない中、ちょうしょくのついかや延泊のお願いにフレンドリーで丁寧な対応して頂けました。

Convenient as the subway is nearby. Clean and comfortable room condition. Not bad breakfast. Not far from tourist attractions. Appropriate price. Accommodation with many advantages.

豪华大床房，榻榻米床，一个人住还是挺舒服的，两个人的话可能会有点局促。酒店里就餐还是很方便的，比较实惠。

コンビニが近くにない 壁が薄いかな でも、綺麗だし、上海でリーズナブルで泊まるならありだとは思う

size and cleanliness are fine. I don’t like that 1) the cleaning lady urged me to leave the room so she could clean before her off time. 2) blasting music at 6am outside which affected my sleeps even I was in the third floor

飯店算很新，地點也蠻方便的，離地鐵走路5分鐘，房間整潔度可以再加強，才3年的酒店但我們房間已經有不少設備看來有點舊，地面也有不少灰塵，但床與枕頭很舒適，價格非常合理，CP值不錯。

Nice Place

I stayed for 2 nights and 3 days on a business trip. Majority of the staff wasn't so fluent in english but it was ok. Room was clean and location was satisfying. Especially, I want to thank receptionist name KiKi for helping me a lot.

チェックインの際に、チェックアウト時に時間の掛かる領収書の事前準備をお願いするのですが、なかなか意味が伝わらず、苦笑してしまします。こんな簡単なトラブル以外は、良いコンセプト(部屋は小さいが、快適なロビーと食事)、朝以外は元気なスタッフ、快適に過ごせるホテルです。コスパも良く、交通の便を考えると、また利用する気になります。テレビでCNNやNHKが映ると嬉しいし、朝食の果物の種類を増やしてもらえると、さらに嬉しいです。

優點：乾淨沒有煙味，且有提供乳膠枕，睡得很舒服 美中不足：房間內沒有冰箱、若有提供免費腳踏車供外籍遊客借用會更好

二回目の宿泊でしたが、よい印象は変わりませんでした。

房間的擺設舒適，不會被衛浴設備干擾，方便商務或自助旅行旅館，大廳公用部分非常舒服，下次去會再入住

距離地鐵站需走約10分鐘對於想省錢自由行旅客是有點累人，及住宿最後一天於上午發生了小火災，消防警報還關不了，警報持續約半小時，也沒有旅館人員主動告知房客現在發生甚麼狀況，需要自行找逃生梯下樓，實在有點糟糕，雖然最後的小插曲令人難忘，但整體的房間整潔度及品質舒適是很好的

とても小さな部屋でしたが、清掃は行き届いており、シャワーの水圧、空調、水栓金具を含めた基本的な設備はいうことありません。特にスタッフの対応と食事が良かったです。小さな部屋の代わりに、過ごしやすい大きなロビーか印象的でした。ホテルのコンセプトを気に入れば、交通便、周辺の環境も良く、長期滞在も可能なコストパフォーマンスのよいホテルだと思います。また、利用します。

飯店各方面都很舒服，服務也很好，地點很市中心，早餐中西合併還不錯。到地鐵要走10幾分鐘，房間的隔音不太好，會聽到外面走廊的聲音。

中国のキャッシュレス決済事情なのか、コインランドリーや自動販売機がAlipayかWeChat pay しか使えない。もしかしたら中国ではこのホテルに限ったことじゃないのかもしれないけど、その点だけ不便さを感じた。他に関しては立地もサービス、お部屋もとても良かったです。 なにげに人当たりもサービスも1番良かったのは清掃のお姉さんでした笑

除了衛生間馬桶的水沖力不大，其餘都非常棒

整體感受都很棒，早餐也很合胃口 但房間內就是覺得有煙味，關閉淋浴間的抽風扇後，才有好轉 也許是大樓空調管線接到了戶外抽菸區、或是有不良住客在浴室內偷偷抽煙 此外，如果房內電視能多些國外頻道會更好

酒店是全部房禁煙，但實際上整棟充斥濃煙味，應無一房間倖免吧！空氣清新機顕示要換濾纲，叫工作人員上來只说機器誤報，按熄提示，開了4天仍顕示空气質素差。房內沒冰箱。厠所一是不停水，一是停水時發巨大声响。毛巾也是煙味，軟得來感覺不新。 惟一是地点仍算方便，前台員工也不错，装修簡潔
