We stayed one night, the room was very clean and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We ate dinner at a nearby Restaurant but had drinks outside on the patio back at the hotel. The young man was very helpful bringing us cushions and moving chairs for us. Breakfast was very good value for the price. Quiet nice area, plenty of trees and a little lake. Would visit again.

Very helpful staff and excellent value for money. Had a good quality meal there and the breakfast was superb, with plenty of variety. For the price, definitely find it hard to beat.

A one-night stop over.

It was all good despite the room being small, however the air conditioning was broken which was very disappointing as this was one of the two things that were a priority.

Metz business stay

The hotel was ideal for a business stay restaurant and bar on site and convenient location for business in the local area.

Check in was a problem both times we stayed at this hotel as they had no record of our booking. The hotel reception said bookings thru ebookers and expedia often cause issues. The hotel itself is a little tired and could do with a spruce up. However as a cheap stop over its ok and the staff were friendly and helpful.

Ideal for a quick overnight stay

Rather a tired hotel in need of painting outside. Lovely staff and good restaurant for dinner and great breakfast . Not a very comfortable room and very small but quiet and perfectly adequate. Not a place for a long stay but ideal for a quick overnight.

Cheap and comfy hotel

I used this hotel as a quick stop off for me and my dog on the long drive back from the UK to Munich. I viewed it as a travel lodge type hotel and it did exactly what I expected it to do. It was 2 miles off the motorway, the staff were friendly and still there at 10.30pm when I arrived. The room was basic but clean and comfy enough for the price paid. There was tea and coffee facilities and a powerful shower also. As an added bonus there was a lake just off the side of the hotel so gave a nice little walk for my dog after a long day in the car and before we re commenced our journey the following day. No issues at all.

Easy access from autoroute

The hotel needs updating with some TLC Excellent meal in the restaurant We were charge twice for our breakfast but when we arrived home found out they had refunded on our card - very honest.

Convenient Hotel to University

Stayed in since it was close to the Georgia Tech University. Room was small but clean and functional. There was one chair in the room and the hotel provides a couple of towels. Room had easy to use climate control. features. Staff spoke English and was very responsive to our requests. Hotel has parking area and is located near several public bus lines. Dispenser soap provided, but no bar soap, refrigerator, or facial tissues in room. Hotel has a nice buffet breakfast at an extra charge. Hotel restaurant serves dinners which are good but expensive. Large department store nearby (Cora) where you can buy groceries and other items. The store also has a nice reasonably priced cafeteria. Overall room was clean and comfortable. We stayed for four nights and were satisfied with our experience.

Convient Hotel to visit Metz

The Hotel is next to a new Tramway into the centre which is frequent; easy to use (for credit cards); and proved for us a good experience. Hotel is clean most convient for parking and helpfull.

A great hotel to use whilst touring.

We had a great nights stay here, whilst touring on our motorcycle. Car park is secure and gates locked at night. Up and coming commercial area very new, restaurants close by, very easy access to main routes out of city. City centre about 10 mins by vehicle. Notre Dam Cathedral is a must see in the city. Beds very comfortable, nice bathrooms and décor all fresh and new. Nice views from our room. A great stay here thanks.

Visiting GaTech student in Metz

This hotel was great for visiting my son in Metz, while he was studying at the GaTech campus there. The location was next to the campus and an easy walk to the bus into Metz (about 20 mins to the train station). The staff were very helpful and courteous. The room is small, but was clean, well-kept, and comfortable. That was all that I needed for the few days that I was there. The restaurant serves a continental breakfast that was fine for me. Dinner was very good and reasonably priced. There is a special that included buffet appetizers and dessert. There doesn't seem to be a lot of things to do otherwise in this area outside the visiting the universities in the area. For that purpose, I don't think you can get a better combination of convenience and price.

Convenient, clean, comfortable and welcoming hotel

We stayed overnight on our journey from Wigan, England to Winzerhausen in Germany. The whole Technopark area was amazing

We contacted them to inform them we would be arriving late and had no acknowledgements in return. When we arrived at the hotel the doors were shut and nobody was present to let us in. We would recommend anyone looking for a hotel in this area to use Ibis down the road - they were open after midnight and very helpful, they were able to provide for us in this unexpected situation.

Enjoyable stay

This hotel was on route for us which is why we stayed. It was very clean and comfortable although I still don't like the use of plastic cups when making tea and coffee! We asked for extra pillows which they provided. The chef wasn't too helpful with the fact I'm allergic to dairy products and basically said I had to have the buffet - he wasn't prepared to adapt anything at all. Other than that the staff were friendly and we would stay there again.

Good Value plain accommodation

Deliberately chose this for its location on edge of town with car parking. Although located on a dual carriageway, the traffic was light and it was quiet at night.

Good location

We use the Campanile Metz East on the way from the UK to Switzerland. Easy access to and from Motorway. We have stayed here many times(8-10). Accommodation is good and clean. We do not have dinner in the restaurant as we have been disappointed with the menu choice and the quality of the food on a number of occasions. We do take breakfast in this hotel. We will use this hotel again.

Exceedd expectations - will stay again

9 adults and 1 child stayed in 5 rooms. Comfortable and lovely location close to a small lake with walking or running trail. Basic but had everything we needed.

Overnight x2 from UK to Switzerland

Stayed overnight on way to Switzerland and on the way back. Room was clean and beds were comfortable. Did not eat at the hotel - but cheap restaurants nearby. Staff were very friendly and helpful - so excellent overall and we would stay here again.

The rooms were functional and adequate but looked a little run down. Plus points were decent evening menu, good breakfast, good service, dogs can stay for €5 per night and there was a good open space around a lake for dog walking. There was free parking and the area was quiet. Great shower on the room but horrid coffee in plastic cups with powdered creamer, yuk! The price was reasonable. The motorway is easily accessible.

Campanile Metz Est

Standard Campanile clean and tidy.

Stayed here prior to dog show at the Expo centre. It's on the edge of town so great location, quiet with lovely lake to walk around really close. Rooms were all newly refurbished and very comfortable and clean. Restaurant was pleasant with good service and would recommend the buffet as it was lovely. No problems and very reasonable rate. Very relaxing.

Welcome, staff and room all good. Room was air conditioned which was a bonus. Menu and quality of food was the weak point. The steak was not the best!!

Out of town

The hotel is on a main road into town near the motorway and a large hypermarket. There are the usual out of town eating places around if you don't want to go to Metz (which is definitely worth a visit). They are digging up all the roads in the town so beware if you're driving as it messes with your sat nav. The hotel is good for a stop- over but not much else. All campaniles are pretty much the same but this one has some really good large shower heads which was a pleasant surprise.

Out of town but fine

The hotel is fine, clean and tidy. It's out of town but has a few shops and huge supermarket up the road. Next time I stay there Ill try and get in without ordering a taxi, the town centre is beautiful and worthy visit but he taxi was €20 each way but its only 10 minutes away so very expensive.

Metz is currently undergoing extensive road upheavals and there are many Deviations and Route barre. Unless one is coming from the absolutely recommended approach, which I wasn't, it was very difficult to find.The hotel is not one of the best in the Campanile chain - i.e crumbling concrete steps to the upper floor and parking at a distance from the room, but the service was fine and the food up to the usual high standard.

fabulous stay

amazing reduction, great service, we took three children under three and they loved it -very well catered for with good travel cots etc. Made a stay with three children verty comfortable and affordable.

great price, just passing through

They didn't have our reservation after 11 - at that point they "close," but we were able to get another room through their automated machine - it worked just fine. The nicest mattresses in all our travel through France and Switzerland (firm). One room was very clean, the other needed sweeping/ dusting. Great shower - hand held sprayer had a stationary holder! (rare) Staff was great. Buffet looked great, though we didn't stay to taste. Outskirts of city made it easy to find, good inexpensive shopping at the department store nearby

Ça reste un vieux campanile que je connais déjà depuis des années. J’y vais exceptionnellement que je n’ai pas le choix. Je suis toujours en panique car le parking n’est pas sécurisé. J’ai toujours peur que ma voiture se fasse abîmer ou braquer. Sinon la literie est bonne de ce côté, là, rien à dire Juste le parking.

Nous sommes très satisfaits de notre séjour à l'hôtel Campanile Metz-Est. L'accueil est chaleureux, les chambres sont bien équipées, il y a un parking gratuit, le petit déjeuner est de bonne qualité. Si un produit vient à manquer, il est aussitôt remplacé, ce qui n'est pas toujours le cas dans d'autres hôtels.

Et dans la chambre, une chaise supplémentaire serait plus pratique ainsi que des prises USB...

Sales et mobiliers usé voir abîmés en pleine chaleur moquette tachées et sombre au sol pas très hygiénique de plus impossible de régler la climatisation pourtant présente nous aurions appréciez pouvoir régler soi même en tant que rare client présent ce weekend là.

Het hotel is erg knus, personeel vriendelijk, dame van de receptie toegankelijk en fijne, duidelijke incheck. Blij met het restaurant. Goedkoop eten. De hotelkamers verdienen aardig wat onderhoud. We hadden 2 kamers waarbij de 1 schimmel had op de muur en op het bureau en het bed ontzettend veel dode kleine vliegles lagen. In de andere kamer deed de airco het niet, maar gelukkig konden we met het raam open slapen. Ook het houtwerk; plinten, buitendeuren kunnen wel een opknapbeurt en een lik verf gebruiken. Fijn; thee en koffie en een waterkoker op de kamer! Voor de snelle reiziger op doortocht zonder ontbijt. Prijs/kwaliteit verhouding niet goed, maar het is oké voor een overnachting.

Wir hatten einen Zwischenstopp auf unserer Rückreise und waren sehr zufrieden!

Nous avons eu cinq chambres toutes délavé seulement la salle de bain est refaite. La moquette par terre est dégueulasse et la dame vient nous réveiller à 10h30. Malgré l’étiquette ne pas déranger sur les cinq chambres. Nous nous reviendrons plus jamais.

Nous sommes arrivés à 22h,tout juste .le restaurant venait de fermer. On demande un sandwich, imposable. Pour un hotel campanile, pas de borne électrique. Tres déçu

Personal war sehr nett. Das Frühstück war ebenso sehr gut für ein 2-Sterne Hotel. Hatten ein Twin-Zimmer (2 Einzelbetten), Zimmer war etwas klein aber für 1 Nacht auf die Durchreise können wir nichts anderes negativ bewerten. Außentreppe, um in die Zimmern des 1.OG zu gelangen ist vielleicht für eingeschränkten Personen nicht zu empfehlen (sehr eng, wenn man mit Koffer unterwegs ist)

Hôtel modeste, conforme à nos attentes

Hotel conforme aux avis publiés, propre, calme, bons services, repas acceptables, petit déj super, personnel très accueillant. Seul hic: un groupe de jeunes a occupé l'étage au-dessus, et le bruit à 3h du matin n'était pas très apprécié. Un coup sec de "Hé, c'est un hôtel, pas une boîte de nuit!" de la part de mon mari a suffit pour calmer le jeu.

Prima voor 1 nacht, maar ik zou niet terug gaan. De airco op de kamer was stuk, blies alleen warme lucht. Prima schone kamer. Ontbijt was goed, genoeg keuze en goede opties voor een B&B geen restaurant, ken wel een lekker tab biertje bestellen.
