My Studio unit had a newly upgraded kitchen and bathroom. The bathroom was large, with a corner spa bath and lovely shower with excellent water pressure. The unit was nice and warm and the Queen size bed was extremely comfortable. There were good blackout curtains, and I heard very little road noise. Would highly recommend.

Great spit in a convenient suburb close to CBD

It seems like this motel is in the midst of significant upgrades. While our room showed some signs of wear and tear, there was also evidence of significant new upgrades. We booked for one night but decided to stay for 2. The owner gave us a small discount for the 2nd night. When we checked in, the reception took great effort to ensure all was ready for us. There was milk, sodas, and even a couple of KitKats. The room showed some wear to the carpet and sofa but it was spotlessly clean. Very spacious in both the main room and the bathroom. All the amenities you expect or need were provided. The bathroom was huge and obviously had been recently upgraded with a spa tub and a new shower stall. The hot water was endless and the towels plentiful and high quality. The kitchenette had microwave, fridge, kettle, and was offset from the bedroom so we weren't falling over each other. There is no A/C but with windows at t h e front and back and a huge pedestal fan we never had issues cooling it down. The free laundry facilities and vacuum for cleaning our car came in very handy. Lots of room to store things too. The slightly larger table would have been appeciated. If you are fussy you will find things here to complain about. But if you enjoy value for money, and appreciate an owner striving to improve, this is a very good choice. Only 5 minutes to the train station for easy connections diwntown.

Very happy with our stay here. We found the motel nice and quiet.

Loation

A very good motel, but a long walj into town

I did not like no information pack where to go or eat train services, also most of the people staying were homeless or social benefits not quite kids running all over carpark areas price over the top at 155 dollars per night would not recommend expedia do more checks..

I have stayed before but a while back and its no longer a 4 star ,more 3+. My room backed onto a noisy road. Carpet had marks and should be replaced. Just not want i remember. Kitchen and bathroom both update but need the main room doing.Handy to town and motorway.

When we arrived we found the owners had moved us from the room I had booked to a studio with one bed. Thankfully the relief staff at the motel were exceptionally helpful and moved us to another motel down the road that had two beds 😁

Very spacious, full kitchen, modern bathroom, big wardrobes, huge bedrooms. You could live there quite comfortably. The only thing I’d change would be to have the bathroom on the same floor as the bedrooms.

Couldn't ask for anything better! Great space, heaps of room yo spread out! Brilliant kitchen facilities. Full bathroom - it really was a home away from home!

Tidy, newly decorated room. Motel is close to Wellington CBD and Hutt Valley. Received new towels on the second day, but beds hadn't been made.

A clean and tidy place close to Lower Hutt and the train to Wellington. A warm reception on arrival. Basic facilities but great for our needs.

We liked the size of the family unit. Friendly check in. Broken window latch in bathroom was a concern and bathroom door hard to open. Needs maintenance.

The stay was ideal for the purpose. A family birthday celebration near by. I see I haven't been allocated a night towards my free night after 10 stays? Is there a reason for this?

Bed in Unit 2 was very comfortable. Unit 4 okay. Units could do with bedside lamps - so that you could read in bed without having full lights on - so partner could sleep while you read.

Great spa bath, service, rooms overall awesome. Pity the ugly driveway cant be fixed to suit all vehicles.

The Camellia Court Motel is centrally located in Lower Hutt, with a short walk to the train station for Wellington City. The motel until was spacious and well set out. The room was very clean and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay

Great place. Room had everything you need.

Nice size room and comfy bed. Thicker drapes would be good as the lights from outside were on all night so room wasn't very dark. Good location, close to shops and main roads.

Was a minor ant problem in the unit. Office was unattended during claimed opening hours. Floors were not cleaned. Overall a rather disappointing experience

Great hotel, new clean bathroom and kitchen. Staff friendly and helpful.

We stayed a week and more, there were only new towellings and trash emptied daily. No vaccuming or new beddings at all which initially said should be done on the fourth day, apart from that all good.

Pleasant people and area, unit a little 'tired' and in need of refurbishment. Reasonably priced, but could be a little better with a bit of TLC. Disappointed that no breakfasts (even continental) were available.

Not my regular motel which was booked as were a lot of others. Motel was fine but lacking a bit of polish. No tissues in bathroom. No soap but liquid soap was provided for bathroom and shower gel. I much prefer soap. No scissors in kitchen. No cushions for sofa. Door handle needed replacing. No heating in bathroom.

Nice place, not too far from Petone railway station. This is my third time staying there.

Motel is 5mins drive to Lower Hutt centre, room is very big and facilities are all great. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The bed was a bit too soft for my liking. A very enjoyable stay, will defs come again.

Nice motel, comfortable. But for the price I did expect some facilities a games room a play ground but there wasn't anything

Nice hotel in Lower Hutt

While it doesn’t look like much from the outside, the inside is nicely renovated and was very warm and comfortable. Walls are thin though and could hear the person next door snoring loudly which made it difficult to sleep. Only criticism would be that there was a pot of cigarette butts outside the door which was smelly and disgusting.

Wonderful service before and during my stay, Dave on Reception made the stay very worthwhile :-) The unit was a good size with additional bedding. Real milk was provided (yippy). The area was quiet so I slept well :-) In the unit the Guest Folder had a good range of info on local eateries which was helpful, along with unlimited WiFi made my stay good - I'd be more than happy to stay there again.

Clean and tidy rooms. Very pleasant. One of the cutlery was missing so I left a note for the cleaner and it was promptly taken care of. Great.

Perfect for our stay

Very friendly and accomodating host which was much appreciated. Warm clean room with full kitchen available. This has been upgraded since last time we were here. Comfy bed. We will be back next year.

Lovely Stay!

My daughter & I stayed one night during our recent visit to Lower Hutt. The motel unit was super clean, beautifully presented, warm & comfortabe.

Friendly at reception on arrival, accommodating, clean, comfy rooms. Expel air in bathroom very necessary, worked exceptionally well, but also really noisy. Could be heard inside the bedroom upstairs behind closed doors. Other than that. No complaints. Would stay at this motel again happily.

Nice stay

Lovely one-bedroom unit. We stayed four nights. We did our own catering - great oven - only problem was distinct lack of kitchen cupboard space to store food.

Close to city centre

We had a very comfortable night as we came in for a family wedding. Rooms were quiet and well appointed and Dave was very helpful when my husband left his suit in the room’s wardrobe.

Not sure what to expect

Wasn't sure what to expect of an older motel but it exceeded my expectations in every area. I would 100% recommend this as a great place to stay.

Great stay

A very good motel for our 2 night stay. We had a 2 bedroom unit with bedrooms upstairs leaving a nice open downstairs lounge, kitchenette and bathroom down. Everything was in excellent condition and very clean. Good quality soap, shampoo and conditioner. Well appointed kitchenette.

Great room with beautiful decor

The room was beautifully decorated and designed and we really enjoyed it. I did have a problem with the mattress as it was hard, and I felt the wires from the electric blanket so I did not sleep well. We had a problem with parking and it would seem that the person who planned the car parks had never driven a car. As we were in the room in the corner we could not fit into the space when we returned in the evening. Those 2 issues were disappointing as this motel has a lot going for it, and as I said earlier, the room was lovely.

Friendly staff. No a/c but fan provided. Motel is situated more in an industrial area. Lot of traffic so it was a bit noisy. Local town about 10 minutes drive away.
