We spent all night looking for the place we could not find it we ask the taxi cab asked nobody knows the places existed It looks like it’s a scam Expedia needs to send someone up there so they can’t believe me
Pretty bare-bones hotel. Noisy. Staff didn't seem to have received my booking from Expedia - had to move rooms after one night. Didn't stay full time, moved to another hotel.
DON´T STAY HERE! Be warned, this hotel is not trust worthy. I had booked two nights with them. I arrived at 8:30pm totally exhausted from travelling. I was questioned as to whether I had a booking and when I produced the email confirming that I did, I was asked to sit for a moment. I thought they were still preparing my room. After 10 minutes I challenged them about the delay. Eventually he admitted they had no room, and he was ringing one of his other hotels. 40 minutes latter I was walked 10 minutes to another hotel. This hotel had a much lower rating, and for good reason, it was awful. So be warned, they are scaming people.
Lobby on the ground flr could be tidied up a little... however once you get over this... The hotel is good and does the job
Property is in a once very prominent area, that stills hold the glory of the grandiose architecture of the early 20th century. Area about the size of a couple of city blocks is closed off to cars, with very charming atmosphere. Major financial institution reside there, so there are seated pleasant police officers at every entrance to the area and in the internal roads. As a tourist, you are untouchable and not allowed to be molested by anyone, not even the police, as a policy by the government of Egypt. The government is undertaking major rehabilitation efforts with work in progress not greatly affecting the charm of the area. Hotel on first floor of one of the old buildings, in the center of the pedestrian-only area. Old trees line the wide corridor between the rows of historic buildings. Some of the most popular and upscale shopping streets sourround the area. Outside of the Hotel is run down but the hotel itself, the floor where the hotel is, is in up-to-standards good shape, with modern new plumbing and electric. Working wi-if everywhere and in rooms, Satellite TV, comfortable and clean rooms and beds. AC units are relatively new and effective. Small family of staff serve you with great respect and courteousy, are eager and happy to run errands for you, but don’t forget to tip them, as wages in Egypt are low. They can wash and iron your cloth, cook meals especially for you, etc.. again tip them, Egyptians are happy with smaller tips than anything you maybe used to.
Very great
I had a very pleasant stay It is in downtown (a lot of shops) It is close to the historical monuments So we had a great time I would recommend anyone coming to see all historic places
Stay was great. Staff were really accomodating and helpful. They assisted in order to book a tour. Great value hotel
Do NOT Let Magdy Talk You Out of Your Own Plans
Magdy really capitalized on the fact that we were tourists from America. We had plans to catch a sleeper train to Aswan and Luxor and he lied and told us it would be $160 pp because it was illegal to buy tickets in EGP if we were foreigners. He charged us $188USD per person for train-ride (included 2 hotels-one of which was 1 star and the other was 3, transportation to a few non-major temples, and English-speaking tour guides). He bought train tickets that were about $15 in EGP and lied and said it was illegal for us to do that, but no one asked us at all about being foreigners. We paid an extra $55USD per person to get to Abu Simbel. And, we paid all entry-fees ourselves. We spent way more than we should have because of Magdy. Then, he charged us $40USD per person for transportation to Old Cairo, the Egyptian Museum, and to the airport. However, the airport transportation from the airport to the hotel was only $20USD total. He definitely got over on us. Breakfast at Cairo Hotel was definitely not elaborate, so don't look for that. And, they charged us 7EGP for water. (Note: do not expect the hotel to clean the room nightly like at other hotels; it won't happen. But, they will cut your A/C off when you are gone.) Stick with your own plans, don't let Magdy talk you into an alternate plan.
A hidden gem in Cairo at a very reasonable rate!
The manager, Magdy was amazingly accommodating, helpful and friendly! The breakfast was one of the best I've had in any hotel stays. Rooms are clean, beds are very comfortable with individual air conditioning units. Magdy was gracious enough to offer options for visiting different parts of Cairo at very reasonable prices. Magdy speaks English as well as the tour guides he recommends. His staff is very attentive to your needs. Located in Old Cairo but accessible by Uber and cabs. A lot of stores to fill your needs. Walking distance to some museums and shopping area. Definitely a hidden gem!
Safe, Quiet, Clean Hotel in downtown Cairo
This hotel is located on a street that is blocked from traffic so it is very quiet and safe with security guards across the street. The staff is outstanding. The manager is incredible and assisted us with our tour across Egypt - Aswan, Abu Simbel, cruise down the Nile, Luxor, dinner cruise on the Nile in Cairo, camel ride tour of the Pyramids, private driver, etc. and arranged excellent prices. Location is central and is walking distance to the Egyptian Museum and restaurants. Breakfast was included with the best coffee/latte! The hotel gives you an authentic Egyptian/Cairo experience in contrast to hotels near the airport and other areas of the city. The hotel was clean and the staff took pride in making us feel comfortable and welcome.
Family environment
From the moment of check in, i felt like i was staying with family. The friendly staff instantly became like brothers and sisters during my stay and until check out also, so any special requests were met, not as obligation, but as appreciation. The hotel location was perfect and central to all Downtown Cairo has to offer and honestly i felt like i was back in my apartment in New York as ots vibe is truely authentic to city living, along with the comfort of being safe at home. Cleanliness and quality is not a question, as the premises is only a few months old and the etiquette of the staff is second to none. I highly reccomend this hotel to anyone staying in Downtown Cairo and i will definatwly be back there on my next trip to Cairo.
its good place in quite a secure area it has ploce officer right on the corner because its few feet from the stock market and the few meter from two banks
close to shopping area and secure quite
the hotel is apt in building and only two room has a balcony and is not on main ave
Value for money
Nice staff, they tried their best to accommodate our needs. Reservation was not correct, we didn’t get the room we booked. Location is nice in the heart of Cairo but hotel itself is hidden behind big buildings and not easy to find if you are not familiar with Cairo. Room is clean. In general it’s value for money. Good for short stay or single visitors.
This Hotel doesn't exist
I took a taxi to hotel from the airport. The hotel supposed to be downtown. But we spend more than an hour looking for the hotel according to address provided. we couldn't find it. We asked people around but nothing found. I end taking another hotel.
Localisation est parfaite. Personnel accueillant mais déjeuner très ordinaire.

CAIRO HOTEL STAY
My stay was just ok. Location is hard for taxi to find. I was put in one room but was told i would have to change rooms the next day. The next day they moved all my things while i was out. The room was the size of if a bathroom with NO WINDOW. and bed was NOT A QUEEN WHICH IS WHAT I PAID FOR. Refrigerator did not work so I was moved to another room. NO REFRIGERATOR AND NO WINDOW AND NO WI FI IN ROOM Had to go in Lobby....Since room was clean I just tolerated the room for 2 nights.
