Old but still holding its charm

An old hotel but holding its charm. Has a wide variety of foods during breakfast time. surely will come back.

Great value for money and great staff

Nature meets comfort

Very clean and friendly staff. Their breakfast buffet is amazing!!! I wish I could’ve stayed longer.

We stayed here in 2019 and we stayed again 2024 the placed was not keep up and the property was run dow. I would not go back and will find other places.

Could be better

It’s my favourite hotel but the maintenance is not upto the mark. Aircon wasn’t functioning well- room temperature kept going higher inspite of lowering the temperature at the controls. They got to do better if I have to continue my patronage. Service by Mr Dhoni at the restaurant was highly commendable, people like him making me to revisit but the upkeep with the maintenance has to balance. I’m willing to give one more chance- if it remains the same or worsens- I will have to make other choices

Incredible hotel - but give the fish a better tank

Absolutely amazing stay Hotel is just beautiful. I just can’t bear to see exotic fish living in such small bare empty tanks - no plants, no rocks, just emptiness and bright Lights 24/7 thats not how they live in real life. I would prefer to see an incredible statue of picture than the fish in such awful desolate lonely conditions.

Staff were so welcoming. They always had a greeting or a smile. All were very helpful including recommending trips for a day away like visiting mount Bromo.

The hotel is quiet even though it’s in the middle of town. We stayed at this hotel for years now. But we noticed the services are significantly downgraded this time. When you get in the hotel, there used to be lemongrass smell all over the place, then welcome drink and cold towel. Now there are no more aromatic smell and no more welcome drink nor cold towel. Small gesture but it was the reason why we go back to this hotel. When we get to the room, the carpet is dirty and musty smell and hotel only provided one bathroom towel, it used to be two sets of towel, large medium and small for face towel. Such a let down as we are very looking forward to stay in this hotel. I guess we will stay somewhere else next time we are in Surabaya.

Lovely hotel, spacious, comfortable and well equipped. Staff are efficient and friendly. Must try the coffee and tea at the lobby cafe, they're amazing! Only improvement I hope the hotel will make is on the in-room toiletries but that's a small matter.

The public spaces and breakfast were great. The gardens are lovely. My 5th floor room had many mosquitos and little black flies. The bathroom was dirty (hair in the shower drain -- not mine -- that was not cleaned out til the third day, and lots of mildew) and the lighting was very dim. The rug had stains. When the sun came in, the room was much too hot. The AC wasnt very effective. The wifi was unreliable and often cut out in the room.

nice property, you can feel the green in the big city

Hotel was excellent with big room. Room was clean. Toilet cover needs to be changed coz it looks old and dirty. Breakfast spread was great. I will come back again for sure if I’m going to Surabaya. Staffs were friendly and polite.

Run down hotel Not clean

I always stay at this hotel every time I visited Indonesia. I love their breakfast and restaurant menus. Quiet place even though you’re in the middle of city, you feel like you’re in the village. Serene and beautiful. Staffs are amazing. You are treated like a special guess. I will always stay here when I’m in town, I totally recommend this hotel for anybody coming visit Surabaya.

This hotel is above and beyond my expectations. The location is outstanding, close to city center, major attractions and shopping malls. The hotel facilities are outstanding. The staff were extremely professional, polite, and supportive. I love my stay and definitely would love to go back.

Atmosphere was elegant and nice. Bed and view was awesome. And came with a wonderful breakfast... many many choices.

It is a very nice hotel with aweaome garden. However food choice was limited to local fare and it was almost the same food being served for breakfaat lunch and dinner. After three days stay some of my children skip breakfast.

A cultural and unique hotel

We stayed for a business purpose and followed by family time. Both times we had a great time. Room design was incorporated with cultural arts which was really nice. It was spacious as well. Bathroom was all marbles. Breakfast was phenomenal. Tons of choices that cater to local and international tastes. Garden was nice. We'd definitely stay there again.

I thought the hotel was great. I really enjoyed my stay. The only negative thing I would say is that the rooms need updating slightly.

What an amazing place in Surabaya city with a villa decoration, i love the breakfast so much, i enjoyed kinds of Indonesian food, they are all delicious. All the staff are nice, kind and helpful, I love Ms. Aprelia so much, the charming little girl help me a lot, she introduce me to explore the poolside bar in the 3rd floor, and help me to reserve Surabaya Heritage Tracking which provides me a safe and expertise way to having a city tour in Surabaya. Very polite and friendly staffs, beautiful courtyard gardens and best breakfasts with original herbs and healthy fresh cookings in front of you and lots of choices.

Overall is a Nice hotel with friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast is more to local taste, japanese food and continental selection is not much.

Not happy with the massage. Girls were not sufficiently trained and both my husband and i left quite dissatisfied with the service.

Value for money and enjoyed our stay.

Very impressed, staff are wonderful and we felt welcomed. Entering the hotel you are greeted with constance smile from hotel staff's and then that wonderful lemon grass scent. Many choices of Indonesian and western cuisine for breakfast. Also enjoyed the facilities, gym and pool. The only suggestion is not to leave the room door open as mosquito's can enter.

Everything is perfect but the free wifi is super slow at only 1 mbps.

Nice hotel with strategic location

Had an excellent stay at the hotel. The room was cozy and clean, the staffs were extremely friendly and helpful. And the hotel is strategically located at the city center. The breakfast buffet was also very nice with a variety selection of food. Highly recommended.

Friendly sweet smile carrying on every staff face

Friendly staff make me forgive he bad condition of the toilet. However, the toilet seat sould be replaced immediately in oder to maintain the reputation of the hotel. I don't dare to use the bathing tub yet knowing that the stain on it was merely a repair material though. Condition for the main swimming pool is excellent.

The hotel was fantastic. First step to the hotel lobby was really breathtaking where you could smell lemongrass. Really good ambience. Hotel itself was great though our toilet wasnt really spotless clean. Overall, everything including the food are worth the stay

Old hotel in shopping district

An old hotel in shopping district. Nice big lobby and big garden. Furniture in room is aged. Room ac blows towards bed. Toilet flush tend to stay in flush mode (not working normally). TV channels selection was good. Wi-fi was not working! Breakfast was rather below standard of typical 5 stars hotels. Would have been very disappointed if not for the fact that the rate was below S$100.

A Night to Remember in Surabaya

its a 5 Star Hotel with excellent Service. the Hotel has an Authentic Traditional Javanese feel, very relaxing and comfortable. my room is big, cozy and comfy. Breakfast is Excellent. Huge Selection. GREAT!!!

Good stay - except charging points in the room for mobile needs to be improved. There are no convenient power sockets for charging mobile phone.

A very comfortable place to stay. No hurry here. Staff is very polite, efficient and helpful. This is our third or fourth time.

Great Stay

The included breakfast is first class. WiFi keeps prompting for login when you move around the hotel levels which is slightly annoying. Very near to the biggest mall in Surabaya.

Nice hotel with great breakfast.

Room is generally clean except some corners are quite dusty. e.g. when you lift the blinds beside the bathtub, the window ledge is very dirty. Super nice breakfast with a huge spread and variety for your pickings. Service is excellent. Had some issues with the cards but the reception is quick to rectify by replacing 'damaged' cards. Remember to bring shoes if you want to use the gym though because they are very strict with that even if I didn't want to do any running.

The Bumi Surabaya Hotel used to be know as the Hyatt Regency Surabaya. The location is central in Surabaya. It has a resort feel to it.

We stayed overnight and were very impressed with the service. The hotel is beautifully furnished, with a lovely pool area. Breakfast was magnificent. The room was very comfortable. However, I was suprised that there were no robes for use in the room. Good value for money.

Oasis in the city

I wish I had more time at the hotel. From a wide selection at breakfast to lush and tranquil gardens to large rooms, for me this hotel was a quite and green oasis from the hustle and bustle of the city.

Pleasant surprise in Surabaya

Very helpful staff. I encountered several problems at check-in but the staff worked diligently to resolve. The room was spacious and comfortable. I only stayed one night, but wish I had stayed more.

The peaceful environment we needed

We had planned to go to Jodjakarta but it failed, so we drove to Surabaya to shop for items we can't get in Malang, have a nice dinner and rest in peaceful surroundings.

The front desk manager mr Anjas Purba went out of his way to welcome us. He was very welcoming, helpful and friendly. We had a very stay and highly recommend this hotel

Fantastic hotel in a fascinating place

This is a very modern hotel in a center of a large city (Surabaya is the second largest city in Indonesia) but you feel like in a beach resort. It is very smartly designed to give you an intimate feeling of a boutique hotel with lots of green space. The staff are beyond courteous - which is surprising since it is basically a business hotel. There are all the expected services plus a few more. In general, a excellent service without ostentation. Good restaurants, many snack facilities, pleasant pool - which you have it almost to yourself, etc. etc. In short : try it, you'll be delighted.
