Great, comfortable stay
A last-minute stay. Quick, friendly check in. Comfortable room, a little dated, but it adds to its charm.
Good hotel at good location
Room was big ...location was very good .....little old type but well maintained ....Air-conditioned rooms ....elevator .....currency exchenge, pizza, small grocery in the ground floor .....however , the Morning reception lady was rude....
Was terrible experience, very old building and disaster rooms , suit that i booked was terrible bed room without AC ,furniture from 50 decay , smell of tge room terrible , bathroom was terriblevyou cant use bath chair as no space to put leg etc , no light in the room , tv 14 inch , no espresso machine , hotvwater boiler broken not in use , what to say it is a disaster experience
I like the receptionist. But the room I booked was not the one they gave me and was very expensive what we paid for what we received.
Specious, very clean s and quite. Definitely recommend
Great location. Nice (and large) bathroom and suite (with separate bedroom). Lots of closet space. Everything was great except that housekeeping ignored my "Do Not Disturb" sign two days in a row. The first day I was out (the room didn't need cleaning) and they did the cleaning, including replacing the towels that were hung up. The second time, I had come back to the room in the afternoon, and I was in the shower when they must have opened the door, realized I was there, and left. (I only know they came in because the door stopper I put in place was moved a couple of feet - obviously a useless door stopper).
Good one
Nice
Large room with a nice classic feel to it. It also smells rather old, but I got used to it after a day. The toilet broke on the second day, but they were quick to fix it. Hot water was a bit inconsistent.
Enjoyable stay
I stayed here 3 nights on my stay in Bucharest and was happy with the hotel. Reception staff were friendly and allowed me an early check in. The room was clean and big with good wifi and a Belcony! The location is perfect. I would reccomend this hotel.
Great location and comfortable base to take in the sights
A very, very friendly staff, nice breakfast dining room, excellent (unsecured) wi-fi Perfect location! Some pieces of furniture in bad shape (after 2 days our table replaced), our double bed had for some reason a gap of 40 cm in the middle, the minibar refrigerator didn't work (I was told that 20 of total 26 refrigerators in the hotel do not work), a very weird and slow lift function, only 1 key available for a whole family. By-the-way: most of taxi drivers in Bucharest are simply thieves! They ask horrible price, they cheat, unbelievable!
Good
Decent place in the heart of the city for a low price. Old Town and Central Bucharest is all in walking distance. Breakfast is basic, but sufficient.
great location and cheap prices. Its very basic and old but you get what you pay for. Its a good option for budget concious
Very pleasant hotel with understanding and flexible staff.
Nice hotel downtown Bucharest
This was a good stay in the heart of Bucharest. Close to everything, lots of places to eat and visit and shop. The only complaint I have is the "The 10 Commandments" that were read to us before getting the keys: "thou shall not steal, thou shall not mess things up .. etc" assuming that everybody coming there had bad intentions. It was a bit humiliating and I felt just like leaving, but after all I am glad we stayed. They must have had their reasons I guess.
Surprising Bucharest
Having gone with limited expectations, Bucharest was a fantastic surprise. Cities like Prague and Budapest may get all the hype, but Bucharest was amazing. Modest Bucharest Comfort Suites sits in the shadow of the InterContinental, in a great location adjacent to University Square near to the Old City and Bucharest's many wonderful parks. The style of the hotel is a bit "old regime", but it's clean and comfortable and the staff is excellent.
The staff were great, very friendly but there was no coffee or tea available in the room and no room service. The fridge was very loud if plugged in and did not keep the mini bar very cold. The bath took quite a while to drain and would fill up when taking a shower but overall the room was very comfortable and spacious.
excellent location
Excellent location, no heat
My room was beautiful and spacious. The old building seemed well renovated and maintained. Unfortunately my room had no heat, which turned to be a very serious problem at night, to the degree that I had to check no windows were open. Eventually I had to to put on a sweater to be able to sleep. I brought it to their attention and they they said they would send a technician to verify / fix. The second night I got lucky and the weather was warmer, but there was still no heat: I kept my hand on the heating elements for 20 seconds or more to figure out if they were "lukewarm" or just "off". Still can't tell for sure. Additionally, during the night, halogen lights attached to the hotel facade were aimed inwards, blasting the room with more light than a full daylight, and the drapes could not fully block it. The location is excellent.
Great location, lovely hotel
Location is very close to Old Town where all the bars and restaurants are which was great. Bed was extremely comfortable and they accommodated my late checking (1am). Would recommend, room was very spacious
Nice basic hotel near to city centre and old town
Pleasant staff. Not worth the price for breakfast as limited things, same every day.... Best to go to a local coffee shop and cheaper. Clean room, but overlooking a dirty yard next door. No separate sitting room, which I usually need. Hotels.com messed up the booking saying we had free breakfast (had email confirmation) but the hotel said they didn't do that so at the last minute on the penultimate day we had the hassle of being a go between trying to sort it. Just check your details first.
Arrogant staff and didn't get what paid for.
Booked a suite overlooking the city. Was given rm 339 overlooking a yard. As we arrived late at night, in the morning I informed the receptionist (Floran if not mistaken) that the room was not city view and there where no blackout curtains as described in the booking. He called a lady colleague of his, so I had to explain again.Arrogantly the only reply that I got from them both was that the city view was promised by the booking site, so it was not their problem. Regarding the curtain, it was without the blackout not as described on the booking site and insult to injury, it had two holes big holes. The wifi was not constant. D
Large in Bucharest
Nice older hotel in a convenient location. Huge room with great air conditioning and bathroom. Lots of restaurants and mass transit nearby. Friendly staff.
great location
room very spacious and nicely decorated we had a great time
Close to Old Town
Good place to stay on a budg1st. Close to food, shopping, and Old Town. Room is somewhat dated but very spacious. Bed was very firm and comfortable.
respet in a Blizzard
Airport shuttle costs more than taking a tax. Front desk called taxi. Worked great.
Great location
Overall this was a good experience: the location is perfect, walking distance to Old Town and placed right next to Universiti metro stop (good to know if arriving by train, as we arrived during snowy conditions and paid 10€ for a taxi, whereas metro costs 1€ and is only 3 stops). The room was quite big with a classic decor: not the most eye catching but pleasant, and our bathroom was huge. no complaints other than a limited amount of helpful knowledge by hotel staff. They had city maps but otherwise couldn't help with train tickets or info for walking tours.
Great location. That's about it.
The hotel has a great location. There's a metro station 50 meters from the entrance. The room is really spacious and the bathroom also. However, the bed is so uncomfortable, the shower steam is really bad, and you can't throw toilet paper to the bowl (I know it not In all of Romania for sure). The staff is ok. We ordered a room including breakfast but we didn't get one. The breakfast looked bad anyhow so we didn't argue. For 1-2 nights the hotel is fine.
Great Location
Great location, walkable to everywhere. Positive vibes and staff are helpful. Overall, recommended
Good location
A good location for those travelling to Bucharest on there first trip. The airport express bus 783 stops a 100 yards from the hotel. The hotel is jus a short walk to the old town for teh bars and restaurants
All in all pleasant. They couldn't find my reservation and double charged me but are going to refund the error.
Very nice staff
Bucharest ( very comfortable ) Comfort Suites
I was in Bucharest for a mixture of Business and pleasure , the hotel is close to all amenities and only a few minutes walk from the Metro at Universitate . The rooms are well proportioned , comfortable and clean . Staff at the hotel are courteous , friendly and very helpful ... and speak English to help us poor foreigners that don't speak Romanian :)))) . Highly recommended .
Central location
Large apartment style room with nice bathroom. Staff seemed worn out.
Good place for short staying
I used two times Comfort Suites apartments. The location, even is a bit hidden and hard to find, very central, close to Bucharest center. Staff is very helpful and friendly. Next time, I will call again their services.
Surly, unhelpful and rude
hotel staff surly, unhelpful and rude. Hotel is run like a correctional facility. The overall decor has seen better days, no hot water for a shower and bed hard. There are better deals to be had in Bucharest than this.
GREAT VALUE
2ND time there rooms huge & comfortable would recomend
Good choice
Compare to other hotels I can say this is OK. The room its big and clean , bathroom also, I will choose again when I need to book a hotel.
Hotel was ok, great location. A little old but well kept, some staff friendly some were not. Bed was so hard it was like sleeping on the floor.
Good
Was pleasant
Great little hotel in city center of Bucharest
We had a suite, which was large and clean. High quality bedding and nice furniture. Noisy area, since it is located right in the city center. Great staff, courteous and professional. Decent complimentary breakfast and great espresso. We would return again.
Does not value its customers
Experienced quite a disturbing, noisy stay for the one night. Did not change rooms as we expected the thunking sound to wrap up before the night (was occuring upon check-in at 1pm), but it continued into the early hours of the morning. I did not get much sleep here; also, do not expect any sort of partial refund if you have a bad experience since no reimbursement is obtainable per hotel policy. I'm not a complaining person but will if necessary, and I don't wish this experience on others.
Old hotel.
Staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was Clean and very large but the lighting was terrible and the bedding extremely hard. I won't stay there again.
Great value
This was a great hotel for the price. Very comfortable and roomy.
Nice Hotel in Bucharest
I first had a three day stay planned and now this review is coming eleven days later. I really liked staying here. The hotel staff was great and the rooms were very clean. The rooms are nice and clean. The beds are harder then what I am used to in the United States, but, I think that is going to be the case in most places I stay in Romania. I would definitely recommend this place for people to stay. It is not pricey and good rooms for the prices.
Excellent Bucharest Trip
The hotel staff was very polite, friendly, knowledgeable, and extremely helpful in booking one-day excursions in Bucharest and to places in Romania and Bulgaria. Their recommendations on places to dine, directions, and sightseeing trips to take were 'spot-on'. The room was clean and very comfortable, the AC was GREAT, and the breakfast was adequate.
Nice hotel
The hotel is in a great location, close to many attractions. The staff is friendly and helpful. The room was huge, it was clean, the AC wasn't working though but we didn't need it since it wasn't that hot. The room has all the facilities, no iron though and the hair dryer looked kind of weird, like a vacuum. The minibar is filled with chocolate, beer, small bottles of alcohol, water, even condoms, the whole thing would cost about 100 Euros, I would suggest getting drinks from a store in the street, much cheaper. There is free wifi which is very convenient, breakfast is served in a basement, in a pretty small room but the food was good, not too much variety but sufficient. And it was free. The young lady serving was very nice and helpful. Overall a good experience and I would definetly come back.
I enjoyed my stay. The hotel is clean and comfortable. The staff friendly and helpful!
Clean facility, close to old city. Great value and great experience.
cultural trip
hotel great area great, close to old town
Great place, definitely I will visit it again
This is a great place to stay in Bucharest. The location is very good, easy to reach from airport and one stop away from old town, the bus/subway station is close. The rooms are quite large, clean, comfortable, unfortunately little bit noisy if the view is on the main street.
Throwback to the past wasting potential
The room was fantastic, large bed plenty of space, old style furniture and decorations. Located near the national theatre and Universitate Metro (but surrounded by adult shops) access to city centre sights and facilities couldn't be better. But ...... Communist style welcome, notice in room said half an hor required for check out, despite 05:30 departure reception attendant insisted on going up to room to check minibar and I missed airport bus. Two star service in 4 star or better surroundings. Go somewhere they trust you unless you're happy to accept this sort of treatment.
Very bad experience
My room had no window at all and was in a bad state and the air was stinky and swampy. The hotel was overall dirty and incredibly messy (beds, bins and many other things laying everywhere). The last highlight is the breakfast: it is located at the end of a dodgy corridor in the basement. As one could expect, the breakfast was very bad as well with barely anything to choose from. Overall it was my worst experience on hotels.com.
Ruime badkamer.. Discetie van het personeel.
Location was good and peaceful. Close any tourist spots and walkable to oldtown.
The space of room is enough large and the bathroom as well. Of course it’s clean. The first floor of building has a bakery and cafe.

Excelente
Stora rum, bra service, centralt
Greit hotell meget sentralt

Staff are lovely and it's conveniently located right next to a metro stop but this is a very badic hotel. Rooms are big but amenities scarce. Water pressure was virtually nonexistent and bedside lamp didn't work. The room had two safes, neither of which worked. And there were no plugs near the bed.
